XRP’s decline in recent weeks has led to questions among holders who worry that Ripple may be pushed into selling more of its XRP reserves to maintain operations. This concern resurfaced as discussions around Ripple’s shifting business model gained traction, especially with the company’s RLUSD stablecoin. The conversation was held on the social media platform X, where Ripple’s Chief Technology Officer, David Schwartz, stepped in to address whether a lower XRP price could force Ripple into additional token sales. Ripple CTO Says Falling Prices Do Not Increase Selling Pressure Schwartz’s comment came as a response after a user argued that Ripple might gradually shift its priorities away from XRP because RLUSD is tied directly to fiat reserves, unlike the cryptocurrency. The user’s argument is that this difference could leave Ripple less exposed to XRP’s price movements and more inclined to depend on the stablecoin during uncertain market periods. Related Reading: Analyst Shares Why He’s Not Worried About XRP Price – ‘The Road To Valhala This could create a scenario in which Ripple becomes insulated from XRP’s market swings, potentially making it less motivated to support the token if its price declines. Schwartz pushed back strongly against that line of reasoning. He made it clear that the assumption that falling prices increase the company’s need to offload XRP is misguided. He pointed out that Ripple’s broader revenue structure now allows the company to operate without relying on market conditions to stay afloat. In his view, new income channels lessen the chances that Ripple would ever face a situation where it must sell XRP to sustain operations. Ripple Needs To Diversify Part of the tension around potential XRP sales comes from Ripple’s business model. The company has always earned a sizable portion of its income from controlled XRP sales, even though it also offered enterprise products such as cross-border payment solutions through RippleNet. However, public reports from previous years showed that these software licensing fees and enterprise offerings brought in smaller revenue compared to the revenue gained through XRP sales. This is why there have been concerns that heavy selling during market dips could weigh on XRP’s price. Related Reading: Here’s The Resistance Zone Keeping The Dogecoin Price From Rallying An important part of Ripple’s token management is the escrow program, which unlocks 1 billion XRP tokens in scheduled monthly releases. This mechanism was originally designed to bring predictability to XRP’s circulating supply and prevent sudden large inflows into the market. Ripple typically returns most of the unlocked XRP (70% to 80%) back into escrow each month, releasing only a small amount for operational purposes. This structure limits the potential impact Ripple can have on market liquidity at any given time. However, the company currently depends much on XRP sales, and there is a pressing need to look for more sources of income. Schwartz’s comments show that Ripple is not positioned in a way that requires dumping XRP, even as the token trades near recent lows. Featured image created with Pxfuel, chart from Tradingview.com

XRP’s price action in November has dragged it below $2, but technical analysis suggests that the breakdown might not be over. A new technical outlook from crypto analyst CasiTrades suggests that the XRP price is entering the final stages of its corrective structure. The analyst believes the current movements are part of a clean Elliott Wave formation that is approaching its final wave to as low as $2.65 before a major bullish reversal takes place. Related Reading: Dogecoin Goes Wall Street: Grayscale Confirms Nov. 24 ETF Launch XRP Breaks Below Fibonacci Levels As Wave Structure Unfolds XRP’s volatility has intensified in recent days as the cryptocurrency continues to unwind into new November lows. Price action across the major exchanges shows a steady decline beneath retracement levels that have pushed XRP into deeper corrective territory. CasiTrades noted that XRP’s drop beneath the 0.5 Fibonacci retracement on Coinbase was the move that confirmed further downside. According to the analyst, she had already warned that a failure of this level would open the door to a wave of selling toward the extended Wave 3 support at roughly $1.84. XRP reached that target with precision, while Binance’s chart tagged its own macro .5 level around $1.88. The current bounce back above $1.9 might be looking like a reversal but is actually a subwave 4 relief move. This means XRP is temporarily recovering from deeply oversold conditions, yet the core market structure still points to one more leg lower before the trend shifts. Based on the Fibonacci map and wave count, the technical outlook is for XRP to retest familiar resistance levels around $2.00 or $2.09 before the final decline begins. ???? Get Ready! XRP Likely to test the Macro .618! ???? (@CasiTrades) November 21, 2025 $1.65 As The Final Level To Complete Correction The most important area in CasiTrades’ outlook is the macro 0.618 support, located close to $1.65. This level aligns across both Coinbase and Binance and sits at the heart of the analyst’s projection for where Wave 5 of the correction should land. The chart above shows a descending wedge meeting the macro support, along with an RSI trend that has continued building a bullish divergence. These signals suggest that momentum is flattening. However, CasiTrades believes that XRP dipping into the $1.65 region would mark the moment the correction concludes. Related Reading: Kiyosaki Dumps Bitcoin At $90K After Predicting A $250K Moonshot – Here’s Why The analyst also pointed out that Bitcoin’s chart is moving in harmony with XRP’s structure. At the time of writing, Bitcoin has approached its own macro 0.382 retracement but has not fully reached it yet. The expectation is that XRP’s final leg to $1.65 will occur simultaneously with Bitcoin sliding to a clean $80,000 touch. CasiTrades projects Bitcoin entering its Wave 5 advance into new all-time highs shortly after touching its support. If that scenario plays out, both assets would complete their macro supports at the same moment, setting the stage for a synchronized bullish reversal. At the time of writing, XRP is trading at $2.02. A crypto pundit has ignited discussion about the long-term outlook of the XRP price after arguing that a surge to a $1,000 target is not a dream but a realistic goal supported by market math. The analyst believes that XRP’s future depends on measurable utility rather than market hype, positioning the cryptocurrency as an asset built for deep financial integration, which could fuel a prolonged upward rally. Why A $1,000 XRP Price Is Not A Dream Pseudonymous crypto analyst 24HRSCRYPTO predicted on X this Friday that XRP could climb from its current price of above $1.9 to $1,000. He described the path to this ambitious target as a matter of scaling rather than a dream. He also framed it as a math-based outcome, essentially driven by XRP’s foundational role as a global payments currency. Related Reading: Analyst Claims XRP Price Will Surge To $220 Due To ETFs, But Is This Possible? The analyst noted that XRP’s upside potential is more closely tied to real financial infrastructure than to short-lived speculation-driven appreciation. He emphasized that investors often overlook the role of utility, global settlement demands, and deep liquidity, which he believes are the backbone of XRP’s trajectory. These factors set XRP apart from other cryptocurrencies that mainly depend on traders buying at consistently rising prices. 24HRSCRYPTO uses a simple comparison to illustrate the difference that drives cryptocurrency prices. In his view, the Bitcoin price reaches new all-time highs primarily through speculation, while XRP grows through real financial activity supported by its innovative technology. According to the analyst, this disparity is why he believes patience and consistency matter more than hype cycles. The analyst also insists that XRP’s design positions it for long-term use in financial infrastructure where trillions of dollars flow, creating steady demand. He explained that even a modest investment of $5,000 held with discipline until 2030 can grow when supported by real value. This bullish scenario puts a $100 target for XRP within reach as global settlement usage increases. The same logic also supports the analyst’s bold $1,000 price projection. XRP Technical Analysis Signals Growing Strength The XRP price has been dragged down amid the broader market slump, recently crashing to new lows below $2. Despite the altcoin’s weak price action, analysts still hold out hope for a potential market shift to the upside. Related Reading: Analyst Claims XRP Will Flip Bitcoin As These Developments Play Out In a recent technical analysis, crypto market expert Rose Premium Signals notes that XRP has tapped the same demand zone for the third time, creating a strong triple bottom on the weekly timeframe. The analyst’s chart shows that each time the price returns to the $1.8 to $1.9 demand zone, it triggers strong buying. This repeated pattern confirms the formation of a triple bottom, which she considers a classic high-timeframe reversal signal. The chart also reveals that XRP’s recent downtrend has been controlled and met by a well-defended support level. Rose Premium Signals emphasized that each bounce from this support area has triggered progressively stronger reactions. If momentum is confirmed, she predicts that XRP could surge above $3 in the mid-term. Featured image from Freepik, chart from Tradingview.com
XRP has been hit by one of its most aggressive sell waves this year, with on-chain data revealing that major whale wallets offloaded nearly 200 million XRP, roughly $400 million, within just 48 hours. Related Reading: Ethereum Dead Cat Bounce Puts Price At $3,400, But What’s The Ultimate Target? According to Santiment analytics, wallets holding between one million and ten million tokens were the primary contributors, adding significant sell-side liquidity to an already fragile market. This sudden influx of supply arrived at a time when XRP was already battling bearish sentiment across the broader crypto space. The asset slipped 10.32% in 24 hours, falling below the key $2 psychological level, touching lows near $1.85, and posting double-digit losses within a single day. XRP's price trends to the downside on the daily chart. Source: XRPUSD on Tradingview Extreme Fear Grips the Market Market indicators paint a grim picture. XRP is trading below both its 50-day and 200-day Simple Moving Averages, signalling sustained downward momentum. The Fear & Greed Index sits at 14, firmly in “extreme fear” territory, while selling volume surged past $7.2 billion in 24 hours. Analysts warn that a failure to reclaim resistance near $2.30 could open the door to deeper losses, with short-term projections suggesting a potential drop toward $1.50 if bearish pressure continues. The weakness is not isolated to XRP. Bitcoin’s retreat below the $85,000 zone and Ethereum’s slide below $3,000 have triggered market-wide liquidations, with macro uncertainty adding fuel. Concerns over a possible delay in Federal Reserve rate cuts, driven by soft U.S. jobs data and rising unemployment, have dented investor appetite for risk assets across the board. Will XRP Stabilize or Sink Further? The big question now is whether whales will continue distributing or pause their offloading. If no new wave of large-scale selling emerges, analysts believe XRP could stabilize and attempt to reclaim the $2 mark in the coming sessions. Recovery projections place the short-term target between $2.50 and $2.70, though this would require a decisive break above long-standing resistance. Medium-term predictions remain cautiously optimistic but restrained. Many experts expect XRP to trade between $1.96 and $2.27 into the end of 2025, with stronger upside momentum unlikely until regulatory clarity and upcoming ETF activity begin shaping demand heading into 2026. Analysts note that the XRP price is showing unusual resilience, as a key metric previously seen before short-term rebounds reappears on its chart. In a new technical analysis, crypto market expert Dom points out that the latest market setup mirrors conditions that have led to at least a 10% surge each time this pattern emerges. Recurring Metric Signals 10% XRP Price Surge In an X post released while XRP was still trading around $2.19, Dom highlighted a familiar technical signal, noting that past appearances of a bid-skew metric on the chart have consistently led to sharp price recoveries. As a reflection of its previous stability, the analyst stated the XRP had displayed incredible strength over the last several days, trading above the $2 level. Related Reading: Analyst Claims XRP Price Will Surge To $220 Due To ETFs, But Is This Possible? Even as the Bitcoin price plummeted by more than $15,000 in the past few days, the analyst pointed out that XRP had maintained its local low from November 5. The accompanying chart highlights this divergence between XRP and BTC, where the altcoin’s structure holds its range despite the widespread market downturn. Historically, when XRP has shown such strength during periods of Bitcoin weakness, Dom notes that it has signaled countless price reversals. The analyst further highlighted that over the past three months, every time the recurring bid-skew pattern appeared, XRP followed with an upswing of at least 10%. If the historical metric holds, Dom’s analysis suggests there could be a continuation of XRP’s recent resilience, potentially driving its price up by 10% to at least $2.09. At the time of the analyst’s post, this target may have been higher, since XRP was still trading above $2. However, the cryptocurrency has since fallen below that threshold, reaching $1.9 at the time of writing. XRP CVD Data Reveals Controlled Selling Pressure In a subsequent update, Dom shared a second chart, showing that XRP’s price had declined from its previous level of $2.19 to $2.01. He highlighted that this negative price action serves as a reminder that market dynamics don’t always follow textbook patterns. The recent decline in XRP also falls into roughly 15% of cases where typical orderbook signals fail to predict short-term moves. Related Reading: Here’s How High The XRP Price Needs To Be To Flip Bitcoin In the Binance spot market, Dom points out evidence of “controlled” selling rather than forced liquidations. Unlike earlier periods where strong bids consistently led to upward price momentum, XRP’s Spot Cumulative Volume Delta (CVD) curves on Binance, Coinbase, Bybit, and other exchanges are sloping downwards. Moreover, among all the crypto exchanges, Binance has recorded the most decline. Dom notes that controlled selling can be seen clearly in the smoothed cumulative volume lines on the chart. He warns that these developments are tricky to time. Moreover, without a sudden climax or sharp liquidation, bottoming could form slowly, making entries based on traditional reversal signals more challenging. The XRP price has spent the past week struggling with bearish momentum, and the latest dip below the $2 price level has further added to the bearish sentiment. The cryptocurrency briefly slid under this psychological level in the past 24 hours, continuing a multi-week sequence of lower highs and lower lows. Despite this pullback, one crypto analyst on X proposes that the current movement is not as alarming as it appears. His price chart, which maps XRP’s weekly candles, shows the XRP price falling to a familiar support area inside a larger descending channel. XRP Price Still Trading Inside A Year-Long Range XRP’s break below $2 might be the final blow for many bullish traders, but some are still holding on. In his breakdown, the analyst reminded followers that XRP has been moving within the same broad range between $1.90 and $3.50 for nearly a year. According to him, the recent drop to the lower boundary of this range is simply the market revisiting an already-established zone. Related Reading: Here’s The Resistance Zone Keeping The Dogecoin Price From Rallying He highlighted the green support region around $1.90, which has repeatedly prevented a deeper collapse throughout late 2024 and early 2025. The chart he shared shows XRP’s weekly candles inching toward that support, touching the edge of the descending yellow channel that has shaped price action since the last major rejection near the red resistance band above $3. Keeping this price action and the price range in mind, the analyst noted that nothing meaningful changes unless XRP breaks below $1.90 A breakdown beneath this area, in his words, would send XRP “back to McDonald’s,” which is a far more severe retracement. However, as long as the green support is in place, the ongoing decline can be categorized as noise inside a larger consolidation phase. On the opposite end of the chart sits the $3.60 resistance. The red zone marking this area was tested earlier in the year but rejected strongly, creating the broad range XRP has been stuck in ever since. Clearing this ceiling, the analyst said, would unlock what he called “the road to Valhalla.” XRP Price Chart. Source: @stedas On X The Road To Valhalla: What Comes After A Break Above $3.6 If XRP manages to break through the $3.60barrier, the analyst believes the path opens toward aggressive upside targets. The conversation around XRP has grown louder in recent months as the asset continues to gain traction through ecosystem growth, Spot XRP ETFs, and market interest. Despite this momentum, XRP still sits far below Bitcoin, the industry’s dominant cryptocurrency, when comparing total valuation. That gap raises a simple question: how high would the XRP price need to climb in order to actually flip Bitcoin? Data from MarketCapOf provides a direct, real-time look at what XRP’s price would be if it matched Bitcoin’s market capitalization today. The Market Cap Required To Flip Bitcoin Although it is currently going through a correction phase, Bitcoin has the largest presence in the crypto market by an overwhelming margin, and its market capitalization currently stands at roughly $1.84 trillion. This valuation ranks Bitcoin among the largest assets on the planet, surpassing many global corporations. Related Reading: Is It Time To Buy XRP? Analyst Says Get In Before This Switch Happens XRP, now trading around $2.14 at the time of writing, holds a market cap of approximately $128.7 billion. This means Bitcoin’s valuation is more than fourteen times larger than XRP’s. For XRP to flip Bitcoin, the cryptocurrency would need to rise to the same market capitalization that Bitcoin currently holds. Using the circulating supply of XRP, MarketCapOf calculates how much each XRP token would be worth if it matched Bitcoin’s market cap. Based on the latest data, XRP would need to trade at $30.61 for its total valuation to equal Bitcoin’s. This is the current “flippening price,” and it reflects the direct ratio between their two market caps. To reach the level of Bitcoin’s all-time high market cap of $2.485 trillion recorded on October 6, XRP would need to climb to about $41.26 per token. Breaking Down The Numbers The calculation highlights how far ahead Bitcoin still is. XRP sits at roughly seven percent of Bitcoin’s total valuation, meaning the asset would need to appreciate more than fourteen times from its current level to stand on equal footing. In simple terms, an investor holding 1,000 XRP would see their position shift from about $2,140 today to more than $30,000 if the token were priced at $30.61. Dave Portnoy has re-entered the digital-asset arena with a seven-figure allocation in XRP that has raised eyebrows across the market. At a time when XRP continues to face downward pressure and muted investor sentiment, the Barstool Sports founder executed a decisive million-dollar purchase. The timing, scale, and narrative surrounding the move have prompted renewed scrutiny of an asset many assumed had exhausted its momentum. Strategic Capital Deployment Amid XRP’s Weak Price Performance Portnoy recently revealed that he acquired $1,000,000 worth of XRP, alongside $750,000 in Bitcoin and $400,000 in Ethereum. He framed his move bluntly, describing the market as “bleeding” and presenting his purchases as a calculated attempt to buy the dip. This timing is questionable because XRP has been struggling to maintain momentum, with the token falling nearly 15% over the past week and oscillating around the $2.13 mark with no clear breakout in sight. Related Reading: Here’s Why The Bitcoin Price Could Pump To $110,000 This Week This downward trajectory is particularly notable given the market’s anticipation that the recent Canary XRP ETF launch would trigger a bullish reaction. Instead, prices trended lower, making Portnoy’s re-entry a contrarian move against prevailing sentiment. His announcement generated swift public attention, with Eric Trump commenting “smart trade” under Portnoy’s post. Among XRP enthusiasts, this could be interpreted as more than casual praise—some view it as a subtle hint of potential positive developments for XRP, recalling the Trump family’s history of well-timed investments before major market spikes. Meanwhile, market analyst Barri C has fueled optimism with a bullish projection for XRP, suggesting that the asset could experience a rapid, substantial surge in value sooner than widely expected. When combined with Portnoy’s million-dollar allocation, this positions his trade as a forward-looking strategy aligned with emerging bullish signals and broader positive market commentary. Institutional Momentum May Explain The Timing XRP is seeing a major institutional shift. Bitwise Asset Management recently announced its spot XRP ETF, set to trade soon on the NYSE under ticker XRP, waiving the 0.34% management fee for the first month on the first $500,000,000, making it easier for traditional investors to gain regulated exposure and participate more efficiently. Related Reading: Here’s Why The Ethereum Price Is Crashing Again, Can It Breach $3,000? These developments create a more supportive market environment, positioning the ETF for a potentially strong launch despite short-term weakness in XRP’s price. While the chart shows a pullback, Bitwise emphasizes that XRP’s regulatory positioning, infrastructure upgrades, and broader capital-market integration have accelerated. Portnoy’s $1,000,000 XRP purchase reflects a strategic bet on these emerging market drivers and potential asset re-pricing as institutional flows begin to enter, rather than on current sentiment. In this environment, his decision appears less reactive and more like a calculated move. Whether Portnoy has privileged insight or simply recognizes how institutional adoption reshapes markets, the timing of his allocation signals conviction at a moment when others remain hesitant. Crypto analyst Chad Steingraber has sparked both excitement and skepticism in the crypto community with a bold prediction for the XRP price. According to his technical analysis, XRP could surge to an astonishing $220 solely due to the impact of its Exchange-Traded Funds (ETFs). He draws a parallel with Bitcoin’s historic price spike following its spot ETF launch, suggesting that institutional adoption and market enthusiasm could drive a similar meteoric rise for XRP. While the bold claim has caught the interest of market participants, questions remain about whether this projection is realistically achievable. XRP Price To Reach $220 From ETF Influence On Wednesday, Steingraber shared his bullish XRP price forecast on X social media, suggesting that the cryptocurrency could experience an explosive surge to $220 depending on the results of its ETFs. He bases this striking prediction on the potential impact of institutional inflows, arguing that the launch of major XRP ETFs could dramatically increase XRP’s demand and price. Related Reading: XRP Investors Holdings Have Hit Worst Losses In 1 Year, Here Are The Stats Steingraber has based his XRP price projection on Bitcoin’s post-ETF launch performance in 2024. He pointed out that the BTC price roughly doubled in value during the first year after its Spot ETF debut, driven by strong institutional adoption, market enthusiasm, and broader momentum. Using this as a benchmark, the analyst compares both the absolute and percentage gains of Bitcoin to estimate that XRP could experience a similar surge in value. He believes that with the potentially massive inflows set to come from XRP ETFs, the current price of the cryptocurrency could multiply by 100x to reach $220. Steingraber has highlighted the Canary XRP ETF, XRPC, which recorded massive consecutive inflows this month and became one of the most successful ETF launches in 2025, as evidence of growing institutional interest. He described XRPC as a “warning shot,” signaling the arrival of other major players in the market. ETF Inflows To Consume Supply, Amplifying Price Pressure In a separate analysis, Steingraber examined the potential effects of ETF inflows on XRP’s supply and price. He envisioned a scenario where multiple funds collectively acquire over $1 billion worth of XRP in a single day, which is equivalent to more than 229 million XRP. Extending this hypothetical situation, he calculated that weekly ETF activity could absorb over 1.14 billion XRP, while monthly accumulation could exceed 4.58 billion XRP. Related Reading: Famous Trader Bets $27 Million That The XRP Price Will Crash In about six months, he surmised that ETF demand could theoretically purchase nearly 27.5 billion XRP, an amount large enough to consume a significant portion of the cryptocurrency’s circulating supply. Additionally, Steingraber’s projection highlights the potential structural pressure that institutional ETFs could exert on the altcoin’s price. Even without price appreciation, the analyst suggests that the scale of potential ETF inflows could create supply constraints that could drive upward momentum. Additionally, he predicts that the collective ETFs could drain the entire public supply within one year. Featured image from iStock, chart from Tradingview.com
A new projection from an XRP analyst is drawing fresh attention to how quickly spot ETFs could gobble up available tokens if heavy inflows persist. Related Reading: With 42% Of XRP Holders Underwater, Analysts Say The Altcoin Could Crash Even Further The numbers in the model are simple and large, and they force a straightforward question: what happens if steady ETF buying meets a limited public supply? ETF Flows Could Outrun Supply According to analyst Chad Steingraber, one XRP ETF might average $90 million in daily inflows. Multiplying that by 12 ETFs and the result is $1.08 billion each day. Based on his assumptions, if half of those flows create fresh demand for XRP, issuers would need to buy about $504 million worth — roughly 229 million XRP — in a single day. A month pushes it to 4.58 billion XRP. After six months, the model reaches 27.49 billion XRP, which is nearly half of the roughly 60 billion XRP currently in circulation. According to the projection, a full year at those levels could theoretically absorb the entire public supply unless prices move higher and slow purchases. Early Fund Flows Show Demand But Not A Shock Reports show Canary Capital’s XRPC ETF opened with $245 million in day-one inflows, followed by $25.41 million and $8.32 million on the next two days, bringing the fund to $277 million in assets. Franklin Templeton’s EZRP is scheduled to launch on November 24 and market estimates put first-day demand between $150–$250 million. Five other issuers — Bitwise, Grayscale, 21Shares, Valkyrie, and CoinShares — are waiting in line. Community math that assumes seven ETFs has produced a $7.2 billion annual inflow figure. That is a lot of money. But, so far, the market reaction has been muted rather than explosive. Related Reading: The Final Dip? The token has hovered near $2.14 and slipped more than 14% since last week. Technical voices in the market are warning about downside. Analyst Nebraskangooner points to a failed breakout from a descending triangle and sets a target near $1.50 — roughly a 30% drop from a recent $2.15 trading level. The chart argument traces a rally to a yearly high of $3.66 in July, a late-October attempt to break higher, and a subsequent break below support around $2.2. XRP’s price action continues to follow a clear corrective structure, setting the stage for a potential drop toward the key $2.03 support level. With momentum cooling and Wave 2 behavior unfolding as expected, the market may be preparing for one final dip before the uprend shift emerges. Wave 2 Dynamics: Why XRP’s Choppy Pullback Is Completely Normal CasiTrades, a well-followed crypto analyst, noted in a recent market update that XRP still appears to be navigating its way toward the macro 0.5 Fibonacci retracement level at $2.03. According to the analyst, the current price action aligns perfectly with the expected behavior of a Wave 2 correction-slow, choppy, and far from a straight drop. Related Reading: XRP Price Battles Breakout Resistance With Momentum Showing Mixed Signals In the breakdown, CasiTrades highlighted that the only factor capable of invalidating a retest of the $2.03 zone would be a clean and decisive breakout above the macro 0.382 Fibonacci resistance at $2.41. That point continues to serve as XRP’s defining threshold. As long as the price trades below $2.41, the chart structure strongly favors a continued downward drift, with a final tap of the 0.5 retracement level. She also pointed to a deeper macro target at $1.65, which aligns with the 0.618 Fibonacci level, another common landing point for Wave 2 pullbacks. The analyst explained that the longer XRP stalls beneath key resistance zones, the more likely it becomes that the price may need to dip to this lower support to build enough strength for a true reversal. CasiTrades stressed that a move to $1.65 would not signal weakness. Instead, such a drop could provide the ideal springboard for a powerful macro Wave 3 into new all-time highs. Smart Money Zones: Why Accumulation Happens Before The Breakout According to CasiTrades, now is not the moment to complain about XRP’s price behavior—this is the phase where informed accumulation takes place, at the key Fibonacci levels, not the breakout stage. The market has been in a prolonged range for months, and each interaction with $2.41 (.382), $2.03 (.5), and $1.65 (.618) presents another strategic opportunity to build positions ahead of the next major cycle. Related Reading: XRP Price Aims for Another Bullish Wave — Momentum Strengthening CasiTrades emphasizes that the broader market is already showing early signs of shifting momentum. Several micro-cap tokens have begun to post explosive moves, which is rarely random. These early breakouts signal that the market is preparing for its next significant trend phase. In this context, XRP is not lagging; it is simply completing its corrective structure before aligning with the wider market’s momentum. The analyst emphasizes that patience and discipline are essential at this time. Featured image from Adobe Stock, chart from Tradingview.com

The crypto market is buzzing after the launch of the first U.S. spot XRP ETFs, a development that has injected fresh institutional energy into the asset. Related Reading: Famous Trader Bets $27 Million That The XRP Price Will Crash With multiple high-performing firms entering the race, including Canary Capital, Franklin Templeton, and Grayscale, a bold question is resurfacing across the industry: Can XRP realistically challenge Ethereum for the No. 2 spot in the global cryptocurrency rankings? XRP's price trends to the downside on the daily chart. Source: XRPUSD on Tradingview XRP ETFs Ignite Institutional Momentum The launch of XRP ETFs in November 2025 marked a historic moment for the asset. Canary Capital’s XRPC debuted with over $58 million in first-day volume, the strongest ETF opening among hundreds launched this year. Franklin Templeton has now filed its Form 8-A to list the Franklin XRP ETF on NYSE Arca, signaling that another major player is just days away from going live. This influx of institutional interest mirrors the early phases of Bitcoin and Ethereum ETF rollouts, characterized by short-term volatility followed by broader adoption. Though XRP’s price consolidated around the $2.12–$2.17 zone after the initial spike, analysts argue that ETF inflows operate with settlement lags through OTC desks. In other words, the actual impact on market price may not be realized until later. Can XRP Truly Compete With Ethereum’s Dominance? Despite XRP’s explosive year, marked by record utility, rising XRPL adoption, and Ripple’s $500 million strategic investment, the asset still faces a steep climb if it hopes to overtake Ethereum. Ethereum remains firmly in second place with a $373 billion market cap, supported by a massive ecosystem of decentralized applications, smart contracts, and tokenized assets. XRP, currently around $129 billion, operates on a network optimized for payments rather than programmable applications. Analysts note that while XRP’s institutional use cases are deepening, particularly in cross-border settlement, tokenization, and banking infrastructure, the lack of a native smart-contract layer limits its ability to mirror Ethereum’s developer-driven demand. For now, experts say that overtaking Ethereum is unlikely in the short to medium term. But with expanding utility, ETF-driven accumulation, and growing adoption in Japan, the U.S., and global banks, XRP’s market cap could still climb substantially. Price Outlook: Volatility Now, Bigger Moves Later From a technical standpoint, XRP is sitting at a critical support zone near $2.12, repeatedly testing the 0.382 Fibonacci level. Selling pressure remains present, with capital outflows and lower highs on the chart. Yet open interest has surged from $1 billion to over $6 billion since October, signaling strong trader engagement. A famous trader is betting on a significant XRP price crash amid this recent market downtrend. The altcoin continues to struggle despite the recent launch of Canary’s XRP ETF, with popular analyst Ali Martinez suggesting it could soon drop below the psychological $2 level. Famous Trader Opens $27 Million Short Position On XRP In an X post, the on-chain analytics platform Lookonchain revealed that a famous trader is shorting the market again, opening a 20x short on XRP worth $27.4 million. The trader has also opened short positions of 40x and 10x on Bitcoin and ZEC, respectively, worth $148.5 million and $20.4 million. Crypto analyst Ali Martinez also predicted that XRP could drop to as low as $1.73 if it loses the $2.15 support level. Meanwhile, XRP continues to face significant selling pressure despite increased institutional adoption through the launch of Canary’s XRP fund, with more XRP ETFs also set to launch. Santiment data shows that whales holding between 1 million and 10 million coins recently sold almost 200 million coins in the space of 48 hours. This may just be the start of a larger sell-off following Glassnode’s recent revelation. The on-chain analytics platform revealed that the share of XRP supply in profit has fallen to 58.5%, which is the lowest since November 2024, when the price was trading at around $0.53. Glassnode further noted that despite XRP trading 4x higher now, 41.5% of its supply (around 26.5 billion) sits in loss, which it claimed is a “sign of a top-heavy and structurally fragile market”. Macro Structure Points To A Decline To $2.03 Crypto analyst CasiTrades stated that XRP is still likely making its way down to the macro .5 fib support at $2.03. She claimed that the move is playing out perfectly as Wave 2s are corrective and that the choppiness is exactly how the market should behave. The analyst further revealed that the only invalidation of the drop to the $2.03 support is a decisive break above the macro .382 level at $2.41. Related Reading: Analyst Says XRP Has 2 Options Right Now, Reveals Why Investors Win Either Way CasiTrades explained that this $2.41 level remains the line in the sand and that, as long as XRP stays below it, the structure points to a final sweep of $2.03. She also raised the possibility of a drop to the “still-valid” macro target at $1.65, which is the .618 fib level. The analyst noted that Wave 2 corrections commonly reach the .618 and that the longer XRP ranges without breaking resistance, the more probable a drop to that level becomes. CasiTrades stated that a move to $1.65 would not be bearish, as it would build the kind of momentum needed for a powerful macro Wave 3 to new all-time highs (ATHs). She has predicted that XRP could rally to a new ATH of as high as $10. At the time of writing, the XRP price is trading at around $2.15, down in the last 24 hours, according to data from CoinMarketCap. Featured image from Adobe Stock, chart from Tradingview.com
There’s a growing undercurrent of frustration among crypto investors watching XRP drift lower, seemingly tied to broader swings in the entire market. But a different perspective came to light after a post by Versan Aljarrah, founder of Black Swan Capitalist, who suggested that the entire discussion around XRP’s day-to-day price movement is rooted in a fundamental misunderstanding of what the asset actually represents. What XRP Really Does Aljarrah challenged the tendency to judge XRP as if it were a typical speculative crypto asset running on a debt-based system of inflows and hype. His point was that saying XRP keeps dropping assumes it is meant to trade like every other token whose value is tied almost entirely to leverage trading and investor appetite. Related Reading: Model Shows How XRP Could Hit $24 After ETFs Go Live According to the analyst, XRP’s behavior only appears conventional because it is currently coupled to the wider market for now. He framed its long-term purpose as entirely different. Instead of functioning primarily as a speculative instrument, the analyst described XRP as a settlement asset designed to assist in resolving debt, improve liquidity pathways, and ultimately step outside the constraints of the system it currently mirrors. This reasoning implies that temporary dips, even deep ones, should not be interpreted as failures of the cryptocurrency but as noise while utility-based value continues to build underneath. Recent Market Events Still Pull XRP Into Short-Term Volatility XRP’s recent price and market cap behavior confirm its tight connection to market sentiment, at least in the near term. The XRP market cap chart shows the drastic decline that the cryptocurrency has faced in recent months. This decline has seen the XRP market cap fall from over $210 billion to around $129 billion at the time of writing. XRP Market Cap. Source: @VersanAljarrah On X That volatility mirrors what has been happening across the wider crypto market, where investor positioning has shifted quickly around ETF expectations, news, and liquidations. In the past week, XRP’s price has pulled back along with Bitcoin and Ethereum due to heavy selling pressure. Related Reading: Here’s Why The Bitcoin Price Could Pump To $110,000 This Week However, speaking of utility-based value, the ecosystem around XRP has quietly been delivering some positive developments that may not yet be fully reflected in price action. Ripple, the company behind XRP, has been making acquisitions and entering into partnerships to boost its adoption. Ripple has spent nearly $4 billion on acquisitions, including recent acquisitions of Hidden Road for $1.25 billion and stablecoin platform Rail for $200 million. Another development is that Ripple Labs expanded its partnership with Thunes in September 2025 to improve its cross-border payment infrastructure. Momentum is also visible on the ETF front. A Spot XRP ETF launched by Canary Capital on November 13, 2025 pulled in $268 million in inflows so far and was described as the largest crypto-ETF debut of the year. Further ETF launches are queued: four additional spot XRP ETFs were expected in the study week beginning November 18, 2025 (with one from Franklin Templeton, ticker EZRP, set to launch), which analysts estimate could bring up to $1.2 billion in new capital. The debut of Canary Capital’s spot-XRP ETF was one of the standout moments for the XRP community this year, bringing the token into the US ETF arena with strong opening volume and heavy attention from traders. Many holders went into launch week expecting that kind of headline event to push XRP into a sharp rally, especially after waiting years for regulated access in the United States. Instead, price action has stayed relatively muted, leaving a gap between expectations and reality. In a new 26-minute video shared on X, finance coach Coach JV tried to close that gap, breaking down why XRP has not exploded higher yet and what he believes holders should actually focus on. Coach JV Puts XRP In A Macroeconomic Perspective XRP’s Spot ETF has undoubtedly been a success, considering the amount of inflows it has had in its first two trading days. However, this has yet to translate into a surge in the price of XRP, as many traders had predicted and expected. Related Reading: Analyst Claims XRP Will Flip Bitcoin As These Developments Play Out Instead, XRP’s price action has been highlighted by a downtrend in recent days. A large part of this price downtrend is due to the wider decline in the crypto market. In his breakdown, Coach JV approached the XRP situation from a macroeconomic perspective. Rather than treating the ETF launch as an isolated trigger, he contextualized XRP’s current price behavior within the larger environment that financial markets are dealing with. A major theme of his outlook was the way people respond to hype. Coach JV stated plainly that the only way is to have discipline and a consistent plan. He did not build his message around chasing short-term excitement or reacting emotionally to price moves. His focus was on having a structure that an individual can stick to, regardless of whether XRP moves fast after the ETF launch or takes longer than many were expecting. Is $5 Next? I Don’t Know Coach JV also addressed one of the most common questions circulating in the community: whether $5 is the next big target for XRP now that an ETF is live. Related Reading: Analyst Breaks Down Why There Can’t Be 7 Million XRP Holders “Is $5 next? I don’t know; I’m not banking on that, I’m not waiting for it, I believe it’s going to happen at some point, and I have my exit strategy set up,” he said. That tone is now being echoed by others in the community who are pushing back against unrealistic targets. Zach Rector recently reminded his audience that XRP is not heading toward triple-digit prices this year, despite widespread speculation. Another commentator, known as Xoom on X, made a similar remark, saying XRP will not reach $100 or even $10 on ETF momentum alone. At the time of writing, XRP is trading at $2.18, down by 3.5% in the past 24 hours. It is still too early to conclude how much long-term influence Spot XRP ETFs will have on price, especially with major issuers such as BlackRock, Fidelity, and Grayscale yet to launch their own offerings. A new pricing model from Diana, a crypto analyst on X, projects that XRP could climb into the $7–$24 range within 60 days of the ETF launch, driven strictly by inflow pressure and the asset’s constrained liquid supply. The model reportedly relies on supply-absorption math, revealing how ETF-driven demand could shift XRP’s market pricing once XRP ETFs go live. New XRP ETF Inflow Model Maps A Direct Route To $24 Diana’s newly released “XRP ETF Launch Impact Model” outlines a clear, data-driven view on how ETF inflows alone could reprice XRP. Her framework tests multiple launch scenarios involving five to twenty ETFs, each seeded with $10 million to $45 million. Depending on the scale, total inflows range from $50 million to $900 million, absorbing between 0.08% and 1.50% of XRP’s estimated 60-billion-unit liquid supply. Related Reading: Here’s Why The Ethereum Price Is Crashing Again, Can It Breach $3,000? According to Diana’s projections, this level of liquidity absorption pushes XRP into a thirty-day range of $3.00 to $15.00, with the sixty-day window stretching from $3.80 up to $24.00. The top end of the model—where XRP approaches $24—emerges when twenty ETFs launch with maximum seed capital and nearly a billion dollars in early inflows. Diana argues that as issuers acquire XRP to build underlying exposure, the available float tightens, and the resulting supply squeeze forces a natural repricing cycle. However, XRP’s real-time price action tells a different story. Despite the successful debut of the Canary XRP ETF, XRP has failed to respond positively. The latest market data shows the asset trading near $2.14, posting a 13.5% decline over the week. Even so, Diana maintains that early price weakness is typical during ETF rollout phases and believes the projected inflow dynamics still position XRP for a sharp upward revaluation once institutional allocations begin to materialize. The Market Structure Delaying XRP’s Next Major Rally In a separate post, Diana outlined the market pattern she believes has been driving XRP’s recent price behavior. According to her, traders typically buy ahead of an ETF launch to front-run expected demand, creating a pre-launch rally driven by speculation rather than institutional activity. Once the ETF goes live, those early buyers take profit, producing the sharp launch-day dip that often surprises retail investors. Related Reading: What Will Trigger The XRP 1,300% Break To $36 This Bull Cycle? Diana noted that institutional inflows never arrive on day one. Wealth managers move through compliance checks, committee approvals, and allocation cycles, meaning real capital enters the market weeks later. She pointed to Bitcoin’s January 2024 ETF rollout as the clearest example, where the asset fell at launch but later surged to new highs as regulated inflows matured. She argues that XRP is showing the same early-stage pattern now: a weak market following the Canary ETF launch, profit-taking, and a temporary cooling phase. When these delayed inflows eventually begin to accumulate, Diana maintains that they will reinforce an upward pricing dynamic for XRP’s next major climb. According to on-chain data and market reports, XRP is under fresh selling pressure because a large share of holders are now showing losses. Related Reading: Kiyosaki Stands His Ground—No Selling, More Bitcoin Buys Ahead Glassnode reports that 41.5% of XRP supply — or close to 27 billion tokens — sits in loss, the lowest profitability level since November 2024 when XRP traded near $0.53. At today’s levels, about four times higher than that November figure, a big share of holders bought above current prices and are now exposed. Holder Concentration Raises Selling Risk Market analysts say this positioning has changed trader behavior. Tony Sycamore, a market analyst at IG Australia, disclosed that many wallets likely picked up XRP when it was above $3.00 during months including January, July, August, September, and early October. That means a sizable group is now holding paper losses after the 40%+ slide from the July $3.65 peak. The scale of unrealized losses can encourage some investors to exit if prices keep drifting lower, which would add selling pressure. The share of XRP supply in profit has fallen to 58.5%, the lowest since Nov 2024, when price was $0.53. Today, despite trading ~4× higher ($2.15), 41.5% of supply (~26.5B XRP) sits in loss — a clear sign of a top-heavy and structurally fragile market dominated by late buyers. ????… https://t.co/CBXPzDalxV pic.twitter.com/UpLNKV7LqD — glassnode (@glassnode) November 17, 2025 ETFs Could Bring Fresh Demand Or Little Impact Reports have disclosed a wave of exchange-traded funds tied to XRP that may alter flows. If it fails, further retracement towards lower levels is a realistic outcome, in particular with a large portion of holders underwater and stop orders possibly clustered beneath current support. On-Chain Signals Paint A Top-Heavy Picture According to data from blockchain trackers, the market looks “top-heavy,” meaning that many of those who entered recently paid high prices for their coins and are thus more vulnerable. That pattern often makes rallies less stable until profit-taking pressure eases or fresh buyers step in. A clear break above $2.60 could relieve selling pressure, while a break below support might trigger further selling by holders trying to limit losses. The speculation surrounding a potential BlackRock XRP ETF has surged to new heights. This surge is a direct consequence of the astonishing market debut of the Canary XRPC ETF. Canary XRP ETF’s launch has painted a clear picture of robust institutional and retail demand for a regulated XRP investment product. Why XRPC’s Success Fuels BlackRock Rumors As the speculation around a potential BlackRock XRP ETF is heating up again, the Canary XRPC ETF has delivered one of the strongest launches of the year. An analyst known as Skipper_xrp has noted on X that the newly listed fund stunned the market with over $58 million in first-day trading volume and $245 million in net inflows, outperforming hundreds of ETF debuts of 2025. The momentum has increased further after Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse made a statement at the company’s Swell event, highlighting that Ripple’s ongoing collaboration with major traditional financial firms will bring digital asset adoption into regulated global markets. However, with the ETF inflows accelerating and XRP gaining more visibility among institutions, many investors are now arguing that it’s only a matter of time before a heavyweight firm like BlackRock will consider stepping into the XRP space. Understanding XRP’s Long-Term Growth Trajectory Crypto trader Adam_Xrp has also offered some insight on why XRP didn’t moon when the first ETF was launched. According to the expert, the XRP ETF launch was never going to be a flip-the-switch moment. Even with the first XRP ETF going live, price action was building slowly, and the institutional money did not pour in all at once. Rather, it scales over time as confidence and liquidity grow. Related Reading: New XRP ETF Just Dropped, But Will Anything Be Different This Time? Furthermore, the altcoin is still early in the rollout, and more XRP ETFs are scheduled to begin trading. Each new product will increase exposure, volume, and demand. This is how true institutional adoption is slowly progressing. BlackRock has stated that the company is not launching an XRP ETF right now, but this isn’t something they would ignore forever. However, once the regulatory path is fully cleared and institutional demand strengthens, it’s only a matter of time before the biggest players, like BlackRock, will step into the arena. Adam_Xrp concluded that the altcoin wasn’t supposed to skyrocket overnight. This phase is a gradual process of foundation building as the ecosystem, liquidity expansion, and the institutional framework grow. The expert added that if you expect to get rich overnight, without understanding the long-term game plan, then XRP might not be the right investment for you. A debate over the XRP Ledger’s (XRPL) economy model has ignited after Ripple’s Chief Technology Officer (CTO), David Schwartz, directly addressed questions about taxation on the blockchain. Critics have suggested that if XRP holders do not earn from the ecosystem, someone must be collecting a tax. Schwartz’s response challenges this assumption, framing the XRP Ledger as a public utility rather than a profit-generating mechanism for token holders. The debate has since sparked broader conversations about real-world use cases, passive income expectations, and the underlying purpose of the XRPL blockchain. Ripple CTO Says No Tax On The XRP Ledger In a post on X social media, Schwartz clarified that the XRP Ledger does not impose a tax on its users. He explained that the ledger allows holders to issue assets, trade, create NFTs, and make payments without central authority extracting value from these financial activities. He also stated that transaction fees and reserves exist solely as anti-spam measures, not as a mechanism for wealth extraction. Related Reading: Ripple CTO Explains Real Value Of XRP Ledger And Why It Doesn’t Trigger Price Rallies The Ripple CTO emphasized that ownership of XRP does not give anyone the right to collect fees or profits from the ledger itself. He drew a comparison to Bitcoin’s blockchain, highlighting that the XRPL provides similar decentralized functionality while also supporting features such as Decentralized Exchanges (DEXs), stablecoins, and NFTs. These features work without XRP holders needing to profit from the system’s operations. Schwartz’s remarks on taxes on the XRPL blockchain come after Matthew Sigel, head of digital asset research at VanEck, raised questions about who benefits if XRP holders do not earn anything from the ecosystem and the protocol itself does not generate value. In response, other members of the community, including XRPL dUNL validator Vet, emphasized that the absence of a tax encourages developers and users to focus on building meaningful, functional use cases rather than relying on passive income. XRP’s Utility Outweighs Tax Considerations The XRPL tax debate between Schwartz and Sigel also intersected with discussions about the blockchain’s real-world applications. In a much earlier post, Sigel questioned the blockchain’s relevance, subtly hinting that its supporters overstate its functionality. Related Reading: XRP Leading A $400 Trillion Revolution? How Ripple’s Tokenization Campaign Is Sparking Utility In response, an XRP community member pointed to the recent collaboration between Ondo Finance, Ripple, and BlackRock, in which the XRP Ledger will be utilized for stablecoin issuance, minting, Treasury asset redemption, and liquidity enhancement in financial markets. While Sigel acknowledged the innovative initiative, he reiterated that these applications do not directly generate revenue for XRP token holders, highlighting a gap between network activity and personal gain. Schwartz responded by explaining that the value of XRPL stems from enabling financial independence and reducing reliance on intermediaries, rather than providing passive income. He added that focusing on tax collection as a measure of success can overshadow the blockchain’s purpose of promoting open access and meaningful innovation. XRP price started a fresh decline from $2.350. The price is now showing bearish signs and might extend losses if it dips below $2.150. XRP price started a fresh decline below the $2.320 zone. The price is now trading below $2.30 and the 100-hourly Simple Moving Average. There is a short-term bearish trend line forming with resistance at $2.2550 on the hourly chart of the XRP/USD pair (data source from Kraken). The pair could continue to move down if it settles below $2.150. XRP Price Dips Again XRP price attempted a recovery wave above $2.320 but failed to continue higher, like Bitcoin and Ethereum. The price started a fresh decline below $2.30 and $2.250. There was a move below the $2.20 pivot level. A low was formed at $2.155, and the price is now consolidating losses with a bearish angle. There was a minor move above the 23.6% Fib retracement level of the recent decline from the $2.525 swing high to the $2.155 low. The price is now trading below $2.30 and the 100-hourly Simple Moving Average. If there is a fresh upward move, the price might face resistance near the $2.2550 level. There is also a short-term bearish trend line forming with resistance at $2.2550 on the hourly chart of the XRP/USD pair. The first major resistance is near the $2.30 level, above which the price could rise and test $2.350 or the 50% Fib retracement level of the recent decline from the $2.525 swing high to the $2.155 low. A clear move above the $2.350 resistance might send the price toward the $2.440 resistance. Any more gains might send the price toward the $2.50 resistance. The next major hurdle for the bulls might be near $2.550. Another Decline? If XRP fails to clear the $2.350 resistance zone, it could start a fresh decline. Initial support on the downside is near the $2.20 level. The next major support is near the $2.150 level. If there is a downside break and a close below the $2.150 level, the price might continue to decline toward $2.050. According to CryptoWzrd’s latest XRP daily technical outlook, XRPBTC ended the day with a strong bullish close. This renewed strength in the pair could give XRP the momentum it needs to push toward the $2.75 resistance level and potentially extend even higher. Daily Sentiment Mirrors Bitcoin As XRP Closes Slightly Bearish The analysis from CryptoWzrd notes that XRP’s daily candle was in alignment with Bitcoin’s broader market sentiment and closed slightly bearish. This reflects the continued pressure from Bitcoin, which remains a key driver of overall market direction. Despite this bearish close, the XRPBTC pair showed strength by ending the day bullish, signaling a potential shift in momentum. Related Reading: XRP Price Correction Is Far From Over: Bearish Divergence Signals Potential Revisit To $2.05 A continued push higher could drive the pair above the daily lower-high trendline, triggering a more impulsive price reaction. If this breakout materializes, it opens the door for XRP to advance toward the $2.75 resistance region, a level that has now become the next major target for bullish traders. However, Bitcoin’s influence remains a critical factor. Any renewed weakness or sharp downside movement from BTC could easily spill into XRP’s price action. In such a scenario, XRP may find itself retreating toward the $2 support zone, which stands as the next meaningful level of defense if bearish pressure intensifies. CryptoWzrd added that tomorrow’s focus will shift primarily to developments on the lower-time-frame charts. Short-term structure and intraday reactions will be key to spotting potential scalp opportunities. Choppy Intraday Action Signals Market Indecision The analyst observed that XRP’s intraday price action remained relatively choppy, with the market trading within a narrow range. This kind of movement suggests that traders are still waiting for a clearer signal before committing to a strong directional bias. Related Reading: XRP Price Sees Bullish Move, Can Buyers Protect Upside Levels? A key level to watch on the intraday chart is the $2.408 resistance. According to the analysis, a clean move above this threshold could unlock further upside momentum, creating favorable long opportunities as buyers regain control. Such a breakout would signal growing confidence and potentially shift short-term sentiment in XRP’s favor. However, if the price reacts bearishly at that same resistance zone, a rejection from $2.408 would present a short opportunity, indicating that sellers are still protecting that level. This scenario would likely reinforce intraday weakness and keep XRP confined within its current structure. The analyst also warned that any drop below the $2.2550 support level would push the market into a fragile zone where further declines become more probable. For now, patience is essential, as traders must wait for a more mature and organized intraday structure before taking aggressive positions. Featured image from Freepik, chart from Tradingview.com
A recently shared image on X showing the full lineup of pending XRP ETF filings prompted a blunt response from market commentator Robert Ledferd. Instead of offering predictions or excitement, he framed the moment as a straightforward test for the asset, noting that if XRP cannot climb into double-digit territory once this many ETFs are live, the market may end up treating it as a joke. The comment brings into question what price level actually represents meaningful progress once institutional money enters the picture for XRP. Why The Comment Landed Strongly Ledferd reacted to a screenshot listing nearly every major issuer preparing an XRP product, including firms such as Bitwise, Grayscale, Fidelity, VanEck, Invesco, CoinShares, Franklin Templeton, Hashdex, and ARK Invest. The number of issuers alone means that XRP is entering a phase where institutional exposure will no longer be theoretical. Related Reading: Analyst Predicts XRP “Supply Crisis” To Trigger The Next Parabolic Rally The general consensus is that when these ETFs hit the market, XRP will receive massive institutional inflows comparable to that of Bitcoin and Ethereum, which, in turn, would be reflected in its price action. With this in mind, the pundit noted that XRP will be the “joke of the year” if these ETFs do not bring the cryptocurrency’s price to at least double digits.” Where XRP Needs To Trade For ETFs To Matter The numerical reality behind this expectation is straightforward. XRP is currently trading well below the $3 price level. Particularly, XRP is trading at $2.3, which means even a return to its $3.65 all-time high would require a price increase of about 40% from present levels. To reach actual double digits above $10, it means the price of XRP would need to rise more than 320% from its current price. Before XRP can target double digits, however, it must convincingly break and close above the region between $3 and $3.65. This region is a structural pivot because it is where previous rallies have lost momentum If ETF demand is genuine, the first sign of it will be whether XRP can push above the $3 line and hold it as support. Such a move would confirm that new inflows are not being neutralized by selling pressure and that the buying pressure is absorbing tokens at a faster rate than they are being distributed. Related Reading: Analyst Says Don’t Get Left Behind As Massive Liquidity Wave Is Coming For XRP XRP currently has a total circulating supply of 60 billion tokens. Therefore, a move to $4 implies a market cap of $240 billion. On the other hand, a move to $10 implies a valuation above $600 billion. A $600-billion valuation would place XRP behind only Bitcoin in terms of market cap rankings. These numbers matter because ETF impact is not measured by price alone but by how much capital is required to move an asset of this size. If Spot XRP ETFs begin attracting even a small fraction of the inflows seen in early Bitcoin ETF trading, the push to $4 becomes more realistic. At the time of writing, the first US Spot XRP-backed ETF has officially been launched by Canary Capital with ticker XRPC and began trading on the Nasdaq Stock Market on November 13, 2025. The weekly chart for XRP has compressed into a decisive structure that now sits on the edge of a major move, and the latest projection from crypto analyst Dark Defender outlines how this structure could push to as high as $36 this bull cycle. His outlook centers on an Elliott Wave pattern that started forming in June, and the chart behind the analysis shows a sequence that is approaching the point where momentum returns with force. Elliott Wave Structure Points To A Wave Three Expansion Technical analysis of the XRP’s weekly candlestick timeframe chart shows that the cryptocurrency has spent the past several months compressing inside a tightening structure, forming a narrowing support and resistance triangle. This analysis attempts to map out where this pressure leads next, particularly as XRP is now trading around the peak of this triangle, where volatility could return in force. Related Reading: Pundit Dunks On XRP Triple-Digit Dreams; Price Isn’t Going To $100 This Year Dark Defender’s projection is built on a five-wave Elliott structure that traces its origin back to mid-June, when XRP delivered its initial impulsive rally that formed Wave One. That first advance carried the price on a rally from the lower ranges into a new all-time high of $3.65 before losing steam. Since then, the second wave, which is naturally corrective based on the theory, has dragged the price action sideways to create lower highs beneath descending resistance and higher lows above the support. The chart below shows that this corrective phase is now entering its final stretch, with candles clustering inside the narrowing triangle. The technical message is straightforward: once the correction exhausts itself, the next phase of the Elliott count would be a Wave Three expansion. This third wave is the strongest and longest of the five waves, and it often receives the largest percentage gains in the entire cycle. The Breakout Zone: $2.22 Support And $2.85 Resistance The analysis marks two levels that now define XRP’s breakout conditions. The support band around $2.22 has held firm throughout the entire consolidation, providing the foundation of the structure. The resistance line is at $2.85, and this has capped every rally attempt since the summer. Related Reading: Chinese And US Governments Fighting Over Bitcoin? Here’s What We Know A weekly close above $2.85 is the trigger that would officially transition XRP out of Wave 2 and into the impulsive third wave. Any break below $2.22 would delay the bullish outlook. The Fibonacci extension levels on the chart indicate the next significant checkpoints after the Wave 3 expansion starts. The first leg of the anticipated impulse, the 261.8% extension, is located close to $5.85. However, the wider Wave 3 target is located at the 361.8% level around $18.22. Following this, the Wave 4 pullback is expected to cool the momentum before the final Wave 5 impulse completes the broader structure. The final wave reaches into the 423.6% extension, which is positioned around $36.76 on the price chart. At the time of writing, XRP is trading at $2.31, down by 8.2% in the past 24 hours. An analyst has sounded the alarm on what could become one of the most explosive rally in XRP’s history. As the cryptocurrency prepares for its long-awaited Exchange-Traded Fund (ETF) debut, the balance of XRP on major exchanges continues to decline. Analysts are warning that an impending supply crisis could spark a significant surge in the XRP price, which is currently more than 34% below its all-time high levels. XRP Supply Shortage To Trigger Parabolic Surge Amidst ongoing market volatility and whale capitulation, crypto market expert Arthur remains positive about XRP, drawing attention to a series of on-chain developments that could mark the beginning of a parabolic upward move. In his post on X social media, the analyst emphasized that an XRP could soon see a supply crisis, which may ignite its next price explosion. Related Reading: Pundit Reveals Final Nail In The Coffin For XRP, What This Means According to recent chart data from CryptoQuant, XRP reserves on Binance have fallen to about 2.79 million tokens, marking a sustained decline that began in early 2025. The chart also shows that while XRP’s price has remained relatively stable between $2 and $3, the available supply on almost all major cryptocurrency exchanges has continued to decline drastically. Arthur has revealed that this signals a growing imbalance between supply and demand, which could set the foundation for a bullish move. Arthur has also referenced a prediction made by JPMorgan analysts, who estimated that between $4 to $8 billion could flow into the upcoming XRP Spot ETFs once they launch in the market. This projection indicates confidence in XRP’s future institutional demand and interest as a legitimate digital asset class. The analyst has suggested that increased ETF demand from institutions, combined with limited liquidity, could create a “perfect storm” for a price breakout of XRP. Additionally, the analyst has revealed that the XRP ETF could also see a surge in retail demand, contributing to its projected price appreciation. Currently, reports indicate that approval of XRP Spot ETFs by the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) is still pending. However, prominent analysts like Nate Geraci remain confident that these investment products will be launched soon.
