Ripple Labs Chief Technology Officer, David Schwartz, has offered rare and pointed clarity on what drives the XRP price value in the long term, despite the company’s recent spotlight on its new stablecoin, RLUSD. In a recent exchange with an XRP supporter on social media, Schwartz emphasized that the crypto continues to sit at the core of Ripple’s payment infrastructure, especially as the main bridge asset in cross-border transfers. XRP’s Role As A Bridge Asset Is Still Central While RLUSD plays a specific role, Schwartz reveals XRP’s utility in real financial use cases will ultimately boost its value. His comments reaffirm Ripple’s longstanding plan for the digital asset, relying on XRP for its proven liquidity and built-in role on the ledger as it explores other digital options. Related Reading: XRP Set To Explode? Analyst Sees $5 Surge Any Moment – Details In his response, Schwartz directly addressed growing speculation that the company may be shifting its attention away from XRP in favor of its new stablecoin, assuring that the digital asset remains Ripple’s cross-currency asset that allows for fast, low-cost currency exchanges. While Schwartz didn’t share exact data, he said he was confident that the token’s usage “dwarfs every other asset” in Ripple’s system. XRP links to how the XRP Ledger functions, so an increase in ledger activity is almost guaranteed to drive more demand for the crypto token, naturally lifting its price value as it becomes more essential in global financial workflows. Schwartz argued that as real-world adoption of the Ripple blockchain networks grows, so will demand for XRP. The embedded demand, as more businesses and developers build on XRPL, is what could be the core driver of XRP’s future price value. Ripple CTO: Stablecoins Support, XRP Sustains Some community members worried that Ripple’s new stablecoin RLUSD, launched in December 2024, could replace the crypto token, but Schwartz clarifies that the stablecoin and XRP serve different purposes. He said stablecoins like RLUSD are better suited for use cases that require a fixed value, such as when companies post collateral or need to enter and exit markets without dealing with large price swings. Related Reading: XRP Blows Cold: Price Crash To $2.15 Still Possible If Buyers Falter Volatility in crypto markets can be disruptive in these scenarios, and stablecoins avoid that issue by holding a steady price. However, Schwartz believes that for most other applications, especially those related to real finance and long-term holdings, digital assets like XRP are still the better choice. He noted that, unless highly risk-averse, most long-term users would likely prefer holding the top digital asset over cash because of their potential for upside and active role in blockchain ecosystems. The Ripple exec added that as more institutions turn to XRPL for financial use cases, XRP’s role in facilitating quick currency movement becomes more vital, particularly in volatile markets where stablecoins may not be ideal. Schwartz made a subtle but important distinction, saying XRP’s place on XRPL is privileged. With this, the crypto token is less likely to be replaced or worked around, providing a long-term advantage that many other tokens may not have. The Ripple vs. SEC lawsuit appears to be nearing its final stages, but the path is not yet clear. Although Ripple officially withdrew its cross-appeal in June and fulfilled its $125 million penalty obligation, the SEC has yet to do the same. This case has dwelled long in the minds of the members of the XRP community, and most recently, pro-XRP attorney Bill Morgan commented that while there is technically no hard deadline for the SEC to withdraw, a key date is now fast approaching. No Deadline, But the Clock Is Ticking According to pro-XRP lawyer Bill Morgan, August 15, 2025, serves as a procedural checkpoint for both Ripple and the SEC on their legal standoff. This is because they are required to submit a joint status report to the appellate court on that date, effectively making it the moment when the SEC will be expected to show its hand. Related Reading: Ripple Vs. SEC Battle At An End? What An Appeal Dismissal In August Would Mean For XRP Although the regulatory agency is under no legal obligation to dismiss its appeal by then, the deadline is a trigger for action, or at the very least, a formal update. He wrote that “the SEC needs to report to the appeal court by 15 August 2025, which acts as a deadline… although it may just ask for more time.” This delay has left the XRP community in a holding pattern since October 2024, when the SEC filed a notice of appeal on Judge Torres’ ruling. The major consensus is that the SEC would follow Ripple’s lead of dropping its cross-appeal. What Happens If The SEC Withdraws Or Doesn’t? The longer the SEC remains silent, the more uncertainty clouds the path forward, despite growing consensus that Judge Torres’s ruling in July 2023, which declared XRP not a security in secondary market trading to retailers, should now be finalized. The appeal has essentially allowed the case to drag on for two more years. Related Reading: Pro-Ripple Lawyer Reveals What The SEC Filing By Wellgistics Health Means For XRP If the SEC withdraws its appeal in the coming days, that action will cement the May 2023 ruling as final. This would not only end the multi-year legal battle but also unlock several long-awaited market developments. As noted by crypto commentator Vincent Van Code, over 1,700 companies tied to Ripple through NDAs may finally reveal partnerships and projects built on the XRP Ledger. Furthermore, legal clarity would also pave the way for institutional-grade products like Spot XRP ETFs waiting for approval, which in turn would cause a rapid increase in the price of XRP. However, if the SEC requests more time on or around August 15, it could delay this next phase of XRP’s growth and continue to keep XRP’s regulatory status in limbo. Although such a move wouldn’t reverse any legal victories Ripple has secured, it would prolong the uncertainty that is restraining confidence among investors. After rising to a new 7-year high off the back of strong buys, the XRP price has moved back downward in search of new support levels. This move has been spurred by the general bearish sentiment that has plagued the market as the Bitcoin price struggled to reclaim its all-time high levels, putting altcoins at risk once again. On its own, the XRP price is facing unique barriers, especially when it comes to buying, which could trigger another wave of decline. Directions The XRP Price Could Go Crypto analyst Thecafetrader has highlighted the possible directions that the XRP price could go in following its decline. These include both bullish and bearish directions, both being decided by buyers and how much weight they put behind their positions during this time. Related Reading: XRP Price To Climb 44% To $4.804 As Long As This Level Holds The first point that the analyst makes is the fact that the XRP price rally was driven by massive buyers. These buys had triggered a breakout above the 2024 highs, but met resistance from sellers once again. Thus, it suggests that bulls have been trapped at higher prices inside their positions. However, this is not the most concerning development. One thing that the analyst points out is the major decline in trading volume despite XRP hitting new highs this year. For example, back in 2024, when the XRP price had first crossed the $3 mark, the daily trading volume had peaked above $78 billion. But with the new highs above $3.6, the highest daily trading volume recorded was just above $41 billion. Given this, it suggests that there is a major decline in buying interest, especially as conviction has been impacted by the price decline. Interestingly, though, the buyers are not the only ones who seem to be abstaining from the XRP altcoin at this point. According to the analyst, there are no “real” sellers that are moving into the market. Therefore, there is still bullish momentum for a possible recovery back to $4.64. Related Reading: XRP, Dogecoin, And Shiba Inu Get Major Boost From Gemini Exchange Announcement Moving to the more bearish side, the analyst explains that the XRP price does need the strong buyers to step in to continue an uptrend. If these buyers fail to hold up, then the XRP price does risk crashing back downward from the initial $2.95 point of interest. The targets for such a decline are placed by the crypto analyst at $3.13 initially. However, the more the price struggles, the lower the targets go. Next is the $2.95 territory, then $2.15-$2.3, which the analyst calls a “good price” for entry. Then last but not least is the $1.60-$1.93 range, marked as a “steal.” Featured image from Dall.E, chart from TradingView.com
Ripple’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Brad Garlinghouse, has issued a serious warning to XRP investors amid a surge in scam activity targeting investors across social media platforms like YouTube. The alert follows increasing reports of fraudulent accounts impersonating Ripple and its executives, with the aim of tricking users into sending their XRP. Ripple Warns Investors Of Rising XRP Scams On July 23, Garlinghouse took to X social media to raise the alarm on a sharp rise in XRP scams, urging investors and community members to stay alert. According to the Ripple CEO, scammers are capitalizing on market momentum and community excitement to ramp up impersonation schemes, particularly targeting unsuspecting XRP holders. Related Reading: How Ripple Is Taking On SWIFT To Grab 14% Market Share As XRP Price Surges One of the most notable developments flagged by Garlinghouse is a recent surge in fraudulent activity on YouTube, where scammers have taken over existing channels, rebranded them to resemble recognized Ripple accounts, and begun promoting misleading content that impersonates the crypto company and its executives. In its official X account, the Ripple team stressed that these YouTube accounts are legitimate and do not belong to the crypto firm, despite appearing convincing. In many cases, the usernames have been altered to mimic the company’s official handles, often making it difficult for unsuspecting users to identify the deception. These scam videos frequently promise giveaways, rewards, or investment multipliers, usually asking users and investors to send XRP in exchange for a larger return. Garlinghouse has emphasized that neither he nor Ripple will ever request XRP from anyone under any circumstances. To combat the growing threat of skyrocketing crypto scams, Ripple is actively and aggressively reporting these fraudulent accounts and encouraging its community to do the same. The company has reiterated that its official channels remain the only trusted sources of communication and provides a direct reminder to always verify account handles and links before engaging. Notably, Garlinghouse concluded his post with an important reminder to stay vigilant against avoidable losses. He warned that “if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.” Ripple Alert Highlights Broader Threat Amid Market Recovery Beyond the immediate focus on the YouTube impersonation scams, Garlinghouse’s report touches on a broader trend of escalating crypto fraud that tends to spike during periods of market recovery or growing optimism. This pattern, described by the Ripple CEO as “like clockwork,” suggests that malicious actors closely monitor community sentiment and time their campaigns to exploit emotional and financial excitement. Related Reading: XRP Transactions Barrels Over $1 Billion To Monthly Highs, Are Whales Driving The Next Leg? In a broader context, the rise in XRP scams has coincided with the recent surge in the altcoin’s price to above $3.6. Additionally, they come after bullish news like Ripple’s growing regulatory clarity and legal win against the US SEC. As the XRP price inches closer to ATH levels and gains more momentum, bad actors are leveraging this wave of optimism to cast a wider net, targeting investors through sophisticated scams and fraudulent schemes. The XRP price rally has already seen it reclaim the $3.6 level once this year before slowing back down again. This slowdown has raised concerns of a possible end to the rally. But the formation of a Cup and Saucer Pattern actually tells a different story. Since this pattern is yet to be completely fulfilled, there is the possibility that the XRP price rally has only entered a possible slowdown and will continue to rise from here. Why The XRP Price Rally Is Still In Motion Crypto analyst Cryptinsightuk took to X (formerly Twitter) to share the formation of a Cup and Saucer pattern on the XRP price pattern. This comes after double rejection from the $3.65 level, which is now acting as the major resistance to the altcoin’s continuation of the rally. However, while this double rejection is concerning, the emergence of the Cup and Saucer pattern suggests a sustained bullish trend. Related Reading: XRP Is About To Break 8-Year Resistance Against Bitcoin Ahead Of Spot ETF Approval Cryptoinsightuk explains that despite the rejections, the XRP price has continued to put in higher lows. Naturally, this is bullish for the price regardless of where the resistance lies. Going by the chart as well, it is obvious that there is still a way to go before the pattern plays out completely and suggests a decline in the price. From here, the analyst expects that the XRP price will indeed continue to rise. One of the major reasons that this remains bullish is the fact that this formation is coming above previous range highs. Therefore, Cryptoinsightuk explains that it is more likely a continuation pattern leading to a breakout than it is to lead to a breakdown in price. If the Cup and Saucer pattern does hold up and continue as expected, then the next target would be to retest and break the resistance that has mounted at $3.65. Once this resistance breaks, then a continuation of the rally would put XRP back on the path toward new all-time highs above $3.8. Bullish Developments Spark Hope Not only are the charts showing bullish momentum for the XRP price, but other market developments have also put the altcoin on a positive path. The latest of these is the SEC approval of the Bitwise 10 Crypto Index Fund earlier in the week, which includes XRP as one of the cryptocurrencies held by the fund. Although the SEC eventually stayed the decision and is now under review. Related Reading: Ethereum Price On The Verge: Banks And State Buy To Push ETH Above $5,500? After nearly eight years of being trapped under a long-term resistance line, XRP is set to make headlines again as it inches closer to a historic breakout against Bitcoin (BTC). With XRP Spot ETF approvals still pending, this breakout could signal the start of a significant shift in momentum and price trajectory. XRP To Break Major Resistance Against Bitcoin The XRP/BTC trading pair is rapidly approaching a critical technical breakout that could reshape its long-term value outlook. Crypto market expert Gordon noted in his chart analysis on X social media that XRP/BTC is close to breaching an 8-year descending resistance line—a move that could spark a major structural change in the market. Related Reading: XRP Open Interest Explodes To January ATH Levels, Will Price Follow Above $3? A breakout from this resistance could not only signal the end of nearly a decade of underperformance against Bitcoin but also serve as a potential precursor to a broader revaluation of XRP. Gordon’s biweekly chart illustrates XRP’s historical struggle to gain ground against Bitcoin, with repeated rejections from a strong descending line that has acted as a barrier since 2017. However, after experiencing long years of consolidation and accumulation, XRP/BTC now appears to be forming a large Symmetrical Triangle, with the current price hovering just below the upper boundary of the formation. Based on Gordon’s analysis, this technical compression suggests an imminent breakout, especially as price action builds momentum. What makes this potential breakout even more intriguing is that XRP’s rising value and current momentum have occurred without any significant bullish catalysts. The upward movement in XRP/BTC comes even before any official news concerning a potential XRP Spot ETF approval. The anticipation surrounding this ETF is already palpable, and a favorable decision could act as a powerful catalyst for continued upside. This scenario aligns with Gordon’s assessment that a breakout from the 8-year trendline could be a gateway to a generational wealth opportunity. 2025 XRP Spot ETF Approval Odds Hit 95% According to new data shared by market expert Steph is Crypto, XRP has emerged as one of the front-runners in the race for Spot ETF approval in the United States (US). The analyst has stated that the probability of an XRP ETF approval by the US SEC in 2025 has increased to a whopping 95%. Related Reading: XRP Wave 3 Could Repeat 600% Surge From Nov 2025, Target Set For $15 XRP currently shares the highest projected odds of approval alongside Litecoin and Solana, signaling a major shift in sentiment toward altcoin-based ETFs. Just a few days ago, reports also revealed that the SEC has officially approved the conversion of the Bitwise 10 Crypto Index Fund into an ETF, which will include assets such as XRP, BTC, ETH, and others. The XRP price is on the rise once again after clearing the resistance that had mounted at the $3 level. This resistance has now been turned into support as the price is now only 15% from its all-time highs of $3.84. Amid this, expectations have begun to rise that the XRP price will reach new all-time highs from here. It suggests that there is still another move coming for the digital asset that could send it higher, and one analyst has advised investors to get ready to sell. XRP’s Next Surge Is A Good Time To Sell In an X post, crypto analyst Tony “The Bull” Severino has given XRP investors a heads up on when they should be getting ready to sell their coins. The post features a price chart that shows that XRP has already beaten $3 and is likely to head up to higher levels. Related Reading: Pundit Warns XRP Investors To Not Make This Grave Mistake This Cycle Severino explained that the XRP price has now entered into price discovery, something that is bullish for the digital asset. Price discovery is a period where market participants, ie buyers and sellers, determine what the value of an asset is through their activities. So far, the market looks to have decided that the XRP altcoin is worth more and has continued its uptrend. Interestingly, the crypto analyst had initially pointed to this possible move months ago in May 2025, showing that XRP had reached a critical level. This was the monthly RSI crash back down to the 67.18 level, and the last time that something similar had happened was back in 2017 before the price surge to all-time highs. In a similar vein, it had taken a few months back then for the trend to play out, but the resulting surge was almost as massive as the first one. As the XRP price seems to be playing out the second surge, the analyst expects that a final surge may be on the way for XRP. However, what is most important here is that investors get ready to take profit during this final surge. Open Interest Points To Possible Peak As the XRP price has risen, so has the open interest as crypto traders take their positions in the digital asset. This surge has seen the XRP open rise to levels never seen before to beat its previous all-time high of $8.33 billion that was set back in January 2025. The XRP open interest has now risen to over $9 billion, according to data from Coinglass. Ripple’s ambitions in the global payments space have grown louder and more direct, as its CEO Brad Garlinghouse, openly stated at APEX 2025 that the company is aiming to take over SWIFT’s customer base. The commentary follows Ripple’s long-term strategy to shift global banking infrastructure away from legacy systems to the blockchain-based XRP Ledger. Meanwhile, central banks are increasingly taking note, with recent reports revealing that the capacity of Ripple’s network is currently being studied alongside SWIFT’s systems in experiments. Garlinghouse Sets Sights On SWIFT’s Market Share Speaking at the APEX summit, Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse declared that Ripple’s goal is not only to compete with SWIFT but to replace its role in moving money on the global scale. According to Garlinghouse, although SWIFT is very dominant in messaging, the most important thing is the liquidity that banks can provide. Related Reading: Ripple To Replace SWIFT? XRP Analyst Breaks Down Recent Developments “I think less about the messaging and more about liquidity,” he said. Ripple is targeting this deeper infrastructure among banks, which is the actual movement of value. Interestingly, Garlinghouse asserted that Ripple plans to capture up to 14% of SWIFT’s current cross-border volume within five years. That’s a bold number, especially considering the scale at which SWIFT currently operates. Recent estimates show that SWIFT currently facilitates more than 45 million financial messages and handles around $5 trillion in money transfers daily. Even a 14% share of that market would represent hundreds of billions of dollars in value flowing through Ripple’s ecosystem, which would create a significant demand for XRP in the process. Central Banks Are Tapping In Garlinghouse’s comments come at a time when institutional momentum appears to be shifting in Ripple’s favor. Interestingly, Ripple’s global push is not limited to private sector partnerships. A crypto enthusiast on the social media platform X known as Finance Bull recently drew attention to growing central bank interest in blockchain-based payment infrastructure. Unsurprisingly, Ripple’s technology is the key focus to this growing interest. Related Reading: Ripple Plans To Take 14% Of SWIFT Volume, USDC Lands On XRPL – What Does This Mean For XRP Price? Ripple’s xCurrent solution, which is built on the Interledger Protocol (ILP), was recently studied alongside SWIFT’s gpi system as part of Project Stella. Project Stella is a collaborative research initiative by the European Central Bank and the Bank of Japan. Basically, what this means is that central banks are starting to look into Ripple’s technology, which says a lot about the ecosystem’s outlook in the coming years. The fact that two of the world’s most influential central banks reviewed Ripple’s infrastructure alongside SWIFT is a signal that XRP’s utility is now being evaluated at the core of global monetary policy discussions. These developments closely align with what many fervent XRP supporters have long believed. There have been recurring predictions among the community’s most confident voices that XRP’s price is destined to move far beyond its current all-time high of $3.40. Some technical analyses have predicted double-digit prices for XRP. Other predictions for the XRP price are as high as $1,000. Featured image from Getty Images, chart from Tradingview.com
XRP has been one of the most-watched altcoins recently, with multiple developments emerging for its parent company, Ripple. However, while Ripple has seen a lot of positives, XRP has continued to struggle when it comes to price. Amid the selling, bulls have put up an impressive fight to hold the support above $2.2 for the time being. This has led to the formation of a new inverse head and shoulders pattern that could signal a reversal is coming. Analyst Highlights Bullish Formation For XRP Price Crypto analyst TheSignalyst, in a new analysis, showed that the XRP price has begun another bullish formation. This time around, it is the Inverse Head and Shoulders pattern that often precedes a surge for an asset. Not only has this formation come at a critical junction, it happened while bulls have maintained strong support levels. Related Reading: Altcoins Reclaim Trendline That Led To 2021 Explosion, Will History Repeat Itself? Through the market downtrend, the XRP price has been able to hold above $1.75 and $2, which the analyst points out as a major level. The return to this support level has brought a fresh wave of bullishness, and the XRP price could be ready for another uptrend from here. Presently, all eyes are on this support level, and TheSignalyst revealed that if XRP is able to hold this level, then the rally could be in motion. They point to the green neckline, which is shown in the chart as sitting just above $2.3, and this is the resistance that needs to be broken for the price to rally in the short term. For the long term, the analyst suggests that a clean break above the $2.66 level is needed. This is what would provide confirmation for a bullish continuation. If the setup holds, then the analyst puts the top of formation as high as $3.3 in the long term. Analysts Predict Higher Prices The calls for higher prices for XRP have grown louder, especially as investors have begun to make their bets once again. Analyst Crypto Virtuos pointed out that the XRP trading volume saw a notable uptick of 125% in a 24-hour period as interest ballooned once again. Related Reading: Bitcoin Price Crash To $92,000 Or New ATHs? Analyst Explains The 2 Options Amid this rise in momentum, the crypto analyst, just like TheSignalyst, also explained that $2.3 is the hurdle that is holding the XRP price back now. Therefore, the cryptocurrency does need to overtake this level if it is to see a continuation of the uptrend. At the time of writing, the XRP price is still trending below $2.3, with sellers showing signs of exhaustion. Once the selling stops, then the bulls could trigger another upward wave to retest the resistance at $2.3 once again. Featured image from Dall.E, chart from TradingView.com
The XRP price has been holding on pretty tightly to its support level above $2.2 and continues to be a major level of pushback for the bears. This has shown that buyers are beginning to make a comeback at this level amid predictions that it will be the bounce point for the next rally. Regardless of this, a crypto analyst still believes that this support remains at risk as bears continue to push down on the price, and the result could be a major price crash from here. XRP Price Could Stage A Classic Bear Trap While there has been some recovery in the crypto market and, by extension, the XRP price, there has not been enough momentum to show that this is a sustained increase. This is something that crypto analyst MyCryptoParadise alludes to in their latest analysis, warning that it is possible that the digital asset might end up seeing a classic bear trap. Related Reading: Bitcoin Must Hold $106,000 And $98,000 To Avoid Breakdown The reason behind this is the fact that there have been a number of bearish developments on the XRP price chart that suggest that the price is likely to go down. For one, a Change of Character toward the more bearish side puts sellers in the lead, and this usually signals the start of a bearish downturn. Another development that has rocked the altcoin is an inverse Cup and Handle pattern that is still in the process of playing out. The crypto analyst also explained that these developments, in addition to the break below the key support trendline, suggest that a crash is coming for the XRP price. From here, bears are already applying pressure that could result in a 10% crash. This would push the cryptocurrency back toward the previous support, and according to the analyst’s chart, this lies just above the $2 level. What this means is that a crash from here also puts the altcoin at risk of falling below $2, something that would be incredibly bearish and could lead to freefall. Wait For Confirmation Before Moving MyCryptoParadise outlined that the best way to play this analysis is to wait for confirmation. With the bearish thesis, they explain that it is best to wait for the XRP price to see a “proper pullback” before they enter the market. This would increase the risk-to-reward ratio after the trend direction has been confirmed. Related Reading: Pundit Predicts XRP Price Will Surge 35,000% When These Two Things Happen However, there is also the possibility that the XRP price does not crash from here and that lies at the $2.28 level. The analyst explained that if the price is able to cleanly break above this level and make a successful close above $2.28, then it would invalidate the bearish thesis and mark a continuation of the uptrend. “In such a case, it’s better to stay patient and wait for clearer price action before making any decisions,” the analyst said. The possibilities of a Ripple Initial Public Offering (IPO) have become higher as time goes on and the company moves toward a complete resolution of its SEC lawsuit. With expectations of the IPO rising, possible valuations have started to fly around as the company is one of the largest cryptocurrency companies. Most notably, pro-XRP lawyer and community member John Deaton has proposed that the Ripple IPO could lead to the company being valued at over $100 billion. Deaton Puts Ripple At $100 Billion The comment and valuation from lawyer John Deaton come after Circle, the company behind the USDC stablecoin, successfully completed its Initial Public Offering (IPO). So far, the crypto firm has found a lot of success in the market, surging from an initial $5 billion valuation to over $63 billion in valuation post-IPO. Related Reading: Bitcoin To Surge To $130,000 Next? What The Wave Count Says Deaton responded to a post on X (formerly Twitter), highlighting this feat, pointing out how Ripple could be even more successful in this regard. He explains that despite Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse saying that the company was in no rush to go public, the IPO should be timed correctly to have the right impact. Pointing to the current market environment, he points out that if Circle can grow to a $63 billion valuation, then it means that Ripple can soar even higher. Given XRP’s standing in the market as the 4th-largest cryptocurrency, ahead of Circle’s USDC, which sits at 7th place, Deaton believes that Ripple’s valuation post-IPO can rise to $100 billion. “If Circle can hit a 62B-75B market cap then Ripple, with nearly 40B XRP, currently valued at $2 (ie $80B), could certainly hit a $100B market cap in this environment,” Deaton wrote. As Bitcoinist reported, Ripple had issued a $700 million tender offer with shares priced at $175. This now puts the equity valuation of the company at $25 billion with 141 million outstanding shares as investors look favorably at the crypto firm. How High Could The XRP Price Go? Market experts have speculated that if the Ripple IPO does go through and the valuation soars, the XRP price will soar in tandem. Crypto investor Dennis Liu shared a video that suggested a successful IPO would be positive for the XRP price. He points out that a symbiotic relationship of the XRP coin related to the Ripple stock would be the dream of investors. Related Reading: Bitcoin Price Could Rally To $110,000 ATH As These Macroeconomic Factors Align Other market experts have debated that the XRP price would go double-digits to rise above $10 if this happens. A recent analysis by a crypto market expert has reignited interest in XRP’s potential utility, especially in the context of Ripple capturing a portion of SWIFT’s global transaction volume. According to the expert, if Ripple secures just 14% of SWIFT’s market share, the implications for XRP’s supply and potential could be significant. XRP’s Potential If Ripple Takes On 14% Of SWIFT Market expert Crypto Eri has emphasized, through detailed mathematical calculations, the impact Ripple, capturing 14% of SWIFT’s total annual cross-border volume, could have on XRP’s supply and daily transactions. Notably, the market expert emphasized that if Ripple were to process such a percentage, which is roughly $4.2 trillion, it would require a surprisingly small portion of XRP’s total supply to support the transaction. Related Reading: XRP Price Still On Track For $1.5T Market Cap And 27% Crypto Market Dominance According to Crypto Eri’s calculations, the $4.2 trillion annual volume translates to approximately $11.5 billion in daily transaction value. To assess how much the altcoin would be needed to facilitate this, the analyst assumed a deliberately conservative scenario, with each token being used once every three minutes. This is significantly slower than XRP’s actual settlement capability of 3 to 5 seconds but was chosen to reflect the potential liquidity management constraints in real-world applications. With 86,400 seconds in a day and each transaction occupying about 80 seconds, each XRP could be used for up to 480 transactions daily. Moreover, at the current market price of $2.15, Crypto Eri calculated that one XRP could facilitate $1,032 worth of transactions per day. To process the estimated $11.5 billion in daily volume, this would need approximately 11.15 million XRP tokens. This figure is striking when compared to XRP’s circulating supply, which currently stands at around 58.82 billion tokens. Crypto Eri stated that just 0.0190% of this supply would be necessary to handle the calculated transaction volume, reinforcing the idea that XRP’s high velocity and reusability make it a possible efficient bridge asset. Overall, Crypto Eri’s Ripple-SWIFT analysis model presents a compelling case for XRP’s utility in the global payments space. Her calculations and projections have also sparked widespread engagement across the crypto community, with several independent researchers and members concurring with her assessment and contributing their data-driven models to validate the projections further. The Token Burn Rate Estimates For Trillion-Dollar Use Case As XRP’s potential utility in global finance is brought into focus by Crypto Eri, the market expert also offers new insight into XRP’s burn rate in terms of fees needed to facilitate a $5 trillion annual transaction volume. A crypto community member followed up on the analyst’s earlier Ripple and SWIFT calculations by asking how many of the token would be conservatively burned through transaction fees. Related Reading: Liquidity Levels Show XRP Price Is Headed Up, But Must Cross $2.40 First The analyst estimated that only 5,000 XRP would be permanently burned in the process—an astonishingly small figure considering the massive scale of value being transferred. The estimate assumes an average transaction size of $10,000, which would result in roughly 500 million transactions per year to reach the $5 trillion mark. Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse predicted that XRP could soon take a chunk of SWIFT’s trading volume. Meanwhile, Circle’s USDC recently launched on the XRP Ledger (XRPL). Both developments could provide a huge boost for the XRP price, given the altcoin’s role in the XRPL ecosystem. XRP Price Gets A Boost With Ripple CEO Garlinghouse’s Prediction At the XRPL Apex Conference, Brad Garlinghouse predicted that the XRP could capture 14% of the volume that SWIFT processes by 2030. He noted that SWIFT has two key components: messaging and liquidity. The Ripple CEO added that liquidity is where the power lies and that if XRP drives the liquidity layer, it would gain significantly. This could also spark a surge in the XRP price in the process. Related Reading: Ripple Issues Stern Warning To Investors As CEO Celebrates New XRP Milestone Ripple uses XRP for its payment services, which it runs on the XRPL. In this case, Ripple is betting on taking 14% of SWIFT’s trading volume because of how fast and easy it is to process these cross-border transactions using blockchain technology. This isn’t the case for SWIFT, as the platform focuses more on interbank messaging for these cross-border transfers. In a now-deleted X post, pro-XRP lawyer John Deaton commented on this prediction and what it could mean for the XRP price. He stated that SWIFT processes approximately $5 trillion in transactions daily. This means that 14% of SWIFT’s daily market volume equates to $700 billion daily or approximately $175 trillion annually. Deaton failed to give a particular price prediction based on these numbers. However, Fruition, another XRP community member, provided a calculation that could put the XRP price in triple digits. In an X post, they noted that SWIFT moves 150 trillion per year and that 14% of that is 21 trillion. Fruition added that 21 trillion through the XRPL means 58 billion tokens, which equates to $357 for the XRP price. Circle’s USDC Launches On XRPL In an X post, Circle announced that its USDC stablecoin is now available on the XRP Ledger, another development that is bullish for the XRP price. The stablecoin firm noted that XRPL users will now be able to use USDC for DeFi liquidity provisioning, payments, and it could also serve as a settlement option for infrastructure apps. Related Reading: Daily Timeframe Says XRP Price Is On The Verge Of Breakout Crypto analyst Moon Lambo broke down why the USDC launch on XRPL is bullish for the XRP price. He stated that this development will substantially increase the total value locked on the network, which is a major predictor of whether the XRP price will appreciate. The crypto analyst added how this provides additional utility for XRP. He noted that the altcoin will be used to pay gas fees on every USDC transaction on the network. At the time of writing, the XRP price is trading at around $2.15, up almost 2% in the last 24 hours, according to data from CoinMarketCap. Featured image from Getty Images, chart from Tradingview.com
A provocative claim by crypto researcher “Darkhorse” has reignited debate over whether Ripple Labs is quietly sidestepping a federal court injunction through a newly disclosed $300 million XRP treasury vehicle involving Asia-based mobility firm Webus International Ltd. “This new treasury setup allows @Ripple to bypass the injunction legally and cleanly,” Darkhorse declared in a post on X dated June 4. He contends that Ripple has found “the only route left by the Judge” by using an institutional structure that moves XRP through regulated intermediaries instead of selling it directly to investors. “It’s not just clever,” he wrote. “It’s compliant by design.” The setup in question was revealed in a recent Form 6-K filing by Webus, which outlined the creation of an XRP Treasury to be managed by Samara Alpha, an SEC-registered investment adviser. The program delegates full control of up to $300 million in XRP to Samara under a phased, regulated structure. While the filing stops short of stating where the XRP will come from, Darkhorse argues the intent is clear: Ripple can legally sell XRP to an SEC-facing intermediary like Samara, which then allocates it to a corporate client like Webus — all without violating the standing injunction. Related Reading: The Worst Case For XRP This Cycle? Just A Giga Rally To $19, Says Analyst “Ripple is enjoined from direct institutional sales without SEC clearance,” Darkhorse explained. “The workaround? Sell to regulated intermediaries (like Samara on behalf of Webus) with treasury agreements that are SEC-transparent and non-retail facing. It’s structured — not casual.” Is Ripple Bypassing The XRP Injunction? Veteran XRP commentator Jay Nisbett pushed back. “I just don’t see any of this as clever or bypassing anything — it’s just adoption,” he replied. Nisbett asserted that Ripple and Webus are not partners, that Webus is simply acquiring XRP like any other participant on the secondary market, and that the asset itself “has been ruled to be not a security in this context.” He added that holding XRP on a balance sheet isn’t the same as triggering a securities transaction. Darkhorse issued a sharp rebuttal. “You’re missing the mechanism,” he told Nisbett, laying out his argument in four parts. First, he emphasized that Webus did not just announce an intent to buy on the open market. “Webus filed via Form 6-K to publicly document a $300M XRP Treasury but not to simply buy on open markets. They delegated management to ‘Samara Alpha,’ an SEC-registered investment adviser, under a phased, regulated structure.” Related Reading: XRP Price Could Hit $21 This Bull Cycle With 1.618 Fib Level As Next Target Second, he argued that the core issue is Ripple’s inability to sell directly to institutions, which is where the intermediary comes in. “This structure is about creating compliant distance,” he wrote. “It’s not Ripple handing XRP to an investor — it’s routing via an SEC-registered manager who takes custody and executes under regulatory supervision.” Third, Darkhorse disputed Nisbett’s assertion that there’s no relationship between Ripple and Webus. “Check RippleNet corridors and prior Asia-Pacific mobility pilot cases,” he wrote. “Their ties to Ripple’s network and XRPL liquidity routes go back years. Just because it wasn’t front-page news doesn’t mean it didn’t happen.” Finally, he challenged the notion that Webus’s XRP holdings are merely passive. “ ‘Just holding on balance sheet’ is not automatic exemption,” he argued. “This is treasury deployment, not idle custody. The fact that Webus structured this through a delegated SEC-facing manager says they do consider XRP institutional risk a legal factor.” He concluded bluntly: “This isn’t Ripple dumping tokens on exchanges. It’s creating institutional conduits that comply while navigating around the injunction bottleneck.” Despite the detailed structure and SEC-facing components, Nisbett remained unmoved. “No I get what you’re saying… I just disagree in that mechanism being an unexpected event,” he wrote. “It’s just a natural maturation of the market and the market reacting to legislation hurdles as the market always has and will.” With Ripple still bound by Judge Torres’s 2024 permanent injunction — which prohibits direct institutional XRP sales unless registered — the debate hinges on whether the Webus structure constitutes indirect circumvention or lawful evolution. The SEC has yet to comment, and the court recently denied the parties’ request to vacate the injunction, calling it “procedurally improper.” At press time, XRP traded at $2.1989. CoinRoutes chief executive Dave Weisberger detonated a fresh round of anxiety in the XRP market on Monday when he asked, on Scott Melker’s podcast, whether Ripple Labs could finance a takeover of Circle “for $10 to $20 billion” without off-loading roughly $10 billion in XRP. “Who’s going to buy the $10 billion worth of XRP they would need to sell out of their treasury?” Weisberger said, warning that a sudden supply surge could overwhelm order books and “hammer the price.” Is A XRP Sell-Off Conceivable? Within hours, pro-XRP attorney Fred Rispoli fired back on X. “I love @daveweisberger1, but on this point he is mcgloning so hard,” he wrote, invoking Bloomberg strategist Mike McGlone’s reputation for bearish hyperbole. “Just based on what I’m getting offered for my Ripple shares on the secondary market, I don’t think Ripple would even have to sell one XRP to buy Circle.” Rispoli agreed that Ripple cannot raise $10 billion in pure cash, yet insisted the company could “easily afford the acquisition for a mix of cash and debt” and a heavy equity-swap. Related Reading: $3 XRP Dream Delayed—No Bull Run Before November, Says Top Analyst When Weisberger replied that Circle’s board would likely demand hard dollars unless it accepted Ripple equity or XRP “without a haircut,” Rispoli dug in. “No way to get $10B in cash—and $10B is too high anyway,” he wrote, citing late-2024 private-research valuations that placed Ripple at $15 billion excluding its ~36 billion escrowed XRP. If Circle’s price tag fell to $7–9 billion, he said, Ripple could close with “$1–3 billion cash on hand, a heavy stock exchange, and debt,” especially with “all that GCC money sloshing around crypto world right now.” Rispoli conceded it would be “a reach” but “doable without meaningfully selling XRP.” Weisberger acknowledged the math—“That’s a reasonable analysis,” he wrote—yet cautioned that any price at the upper end of Rispoli’s range “could be some short-term pain for us XRP holders.” Ripple’s tender-offer buyback in January 2024 valued the company at $11.3 billion, disclosing more than $1 billion in cash and about $25 billion in digital assets—mostly XRP—on its books. The firm still controls roughly 52 billion XRP (about 40 percent of supply), though 36 billion sit in timed escrow releases, limiting immediate access. At today’s $2.20 spot price, the spendable portion is worth a little under $35 billion, but moving even a fraction quickly would collide with thin venue depth—a point Weisberger hammered home. Related Reading: Wave Count Analysis Reveals The XRP Price Trigger Point For Take-Off Ripple’s cash pile also shrank after its $1.25 billion purchase of prime broker Hidden Road in April, a deal settled with a blend of cash, equity and RLUSD stablecoins. That acquisition suggests the company prefers hybrid structures, bolstering Rispoli’s claim that Treasury XRP need not flood the market. Is Circle Even For Sale? The debate may be academic. Circle, issuer of USDC, has repeatedly declared it “not for sale” while marching toward a New York Stock Exchange listing that now targets a $7.2 billion valuation. Ripple’s rumored approach earlier this spring reportedly topped $5 billion, well below Weisberger’s stress case and within Rispoli’s “doable” band, but Circle rebuffed the talks and updated its S-1 two weeks later, enlarging the float rather than seeking a buyer. Strategically, Ripple already fields its own dollar-token RLUSD, launched in January and positioned by president Monica Long as “complementary to XRP, not a competitor.” Absorbing USDC’s issuer would instantly rocket Ripple towards the size of Tether. Even under Rispoli’s optimistic structure, Ripple might still need to liquidate several hundred million dollars’ worth of XRP for working capital and closing costs. At current volumes, unloading just 500 million XRP (≈ $1.1 billion) would equal half a week of global turnover—enough to distort price unless executed as private blocks. At press time, XRP traded at $2.19. Featured image created with DALL.E, chart from TradingView.com
The XRP price is once again showing bullishness, even after the altcoin has been plagued by dips. This time around, the cryptocurrency is forming a rather interesting pattern that suggests a continuation of the bullish rally that began back in April. While this pattern is yet to be complete, a total formation would be extremely bullish for the altcoin’s price. XRP Price Breaks Out Of Yo-Yo Movement So far, the XRP price has been bouncing at support just above $2, something that crypto analyst MetaShackle on the TradingView website likened to a ‘yo-yo’ movement. In place of this has been a rising bullish pattern, which is known as a Reverse Dragon Pattern. Related Reading: 72% Of Binance Traders Go Long On Dogecoin, What Does This Mean For Price? This Reverse Dragon Pattern has been forming on the daily chart, and history shows that this means the XRP price has the potential to rise faster from here. So far, the analyst explains that the Dragon head is already forming on the daily chart. This is forming above the upper trend line shown in the chart below. The next phase of this, if completed, would be a strong upward move as bulls regain control. Additionally, MetaShackle predicts “a liquidation candle in the general area of the Weak Dojo/Reverse Waterfall line.” The upward movement is expected to continue, and as this trend plays out over the next few weeks, the XRP price is expected to rise above $3 this month. Analyst Shows Where Price Could Be Headed Next While MetaShackle sees the XRP price going up with the formation of the Reverse Dragon Pattern, another crypto analyst has given possible scenarios that could play out from here besides the bullish one. This goes into whether the bulls win, the bears take over, or the current tug-of-war for control continues. Related Reading: XRP Price Still On Bullish Path To $5 As Long As This Level Holds The first scenario, is if the price breaks the resistance at $2.3612. In this case, the crypto analyst does expect the price to continue to go up. This uptrend is expected to see it break multiple major levels before finally finding resistance at $2.9 again. Another scenario is when the bulls break below support at $2.03445, which is yet to happen. This could trigger further crashes for the XRP price, and the downtrend could push it toward $1.6, where there is support at $1.63339. Last but not least is if the bulls and bears continue to vie for control with no clear winner. In this case, the crypto analyst believes the sideways movement would continue. “At this moment, there is hidden divergence appearing on XRPUSD as if it will strengthen the bearish mood,” the analyst explains. “If the price breaks the resistance level, the hidden divergence will be cancelled.” Featured image from Dall.E, chart from TradingView.com
Ripple, the blockchain technology company, has announced a significant commitment of $25 million aimed at supporting US classrooms and teachers. This initiative is designed to equip both students and educators with essential resources to improve academic outcomes, foster economic resilience, and prepare for a rapidly changing job market. Ripple’s $25 Million Initiative Despite the known correlation between educational success and long-term economic opportunity, the blockchain payment company stated on Monday that many classrooms across the country continue to struggle with inadequate resources. Ripple highlighted a recent Gallup survey that revealed that 55% of US parents and adults expressed dissatisfaction with K-12 education quality, alleging widespread concerns about funding constraints in the education sector. Related Reading: Dogecoin Bounce Expected By Analyst Who Called Bitcoin Bottom Ripple’s pledge seeks to address these challenges by providing critical support to students, teachers, and school staff, ultimately helping to rebuild confidence and drive positive results in the classroom. “Ripple has always championed financial and educational access for all, and we’re partnering with some of the most impactful organizations—DonorsChoose and Teach For America—to benefit thousands of classrooms across the US,” said Brad Garlinghouse, CEO of Ripple. He emphasized the hope that this initiative will inspire others to contribute, starting with Teacher Appreciation Week and continuing throughout the year to ensure that educators and students have the necessary resources to create a brighter future. In a unique approach, the majority of the $25 million grant will be disbursed in Ripple USD (RLUSD), the company’s US dollar-backed stablecoin. Educational Opportunities For Students Ripple’s partnerships with these organizations will focus on a range of innovative initiatives throughout the year. This includes funding for thousands of classroom projects and teacher requests during Teacher Appreciation Week, supporting Teach For America’s Ignite tutoring program nationwide, and launching a national STEM Innovation Challenge. Additionally, Ripple unveiled that the collaboration aims to enhance financial literacy among students and educators, equipping them with the skills necessary for success in a dynamic job market. “Teachers are going the extra mile for their students’ education, even spending hundreds—sometimes thousands—of dollars out-of-pocket for their classrooms,” said Alix Guerrier, CEO of DonorsChoose. He praised Ripple’s initiative for providing direct support to teachers, enabling them to access materials that enhance learning experiences and set students on a path to a successful future. Related Reading: Analyst Says $2 XRP Price Is Low As It Still Isn’t “Activated” Aneesh Sohoni, CEO of Teach For America, expressed gratitude for Ripple’s transformative support. “This funding will expand our Ignite Tutoring Fellows program, drive innovation in our Reinvention Lab, and provide crucial financial assistance to thousands of new corps members during their teacher preparation. With Ripple’s partnership, we’re advancing our mission to ensure every child has access to an excellent education and the opportunity to thrive.” At the time of writing, XRP, Ripple’s related token, is trading at $2.13, down 8% for the week. The XRP price continues to hold support above $2, which now serves as an important level for bulls. This continues as bullish sentiment is the order of the day, and the sellers seem to have run out of steam across the crypto market. With these developments, expectations for the XRP price have shot up significantly. Most especially among crypto analysts, who continue to predict that the altcoin is set for great things and could reach double-digits this bull cycle. XRP Price Still On Track For Mega Candle Crypto analyst Egrag Crypto has been very vocal on X (formerly Twitter) about the bullishness of XRP. The analyst has become known for calling the XRP price increase for months before the impressive 2024 rally. Even as that rally has cooled off and the altcoin is now struggling at support, the crypto analyst has not deviated. Rather, he continues to call out that the cryptocurrency is still quite bullish, which he expects to hit double-digits at some point. Related Reading: CMT-Verified Analyst Reveals When To Buy Bitcoin As Heikin Ashi Candle Turns Bearish In a recent post, the crypto analyst explained that the XRP price is still on track to move upward. In what he calls the ‘blue ocean’, Egrag Crypto points out that investors are now “swimming with sharks”. In this case, XRP is being gobbled up at a rapid pace, which could set it on a path to see rapid recoveries. With the positive sentiment rising, the crypto analyst sees the XRP price exploding soon. He explains that a mega green candle is on the way, and this could drive the price finally above double-digits. In this blue ocean, Egrag Crypto sets three price targets. The first is $9.5, and then moving further into $17. Last but not least is the $27 target, something that the crypto analyst has continuously predicted for over a year now. Currently, the XRP price is still trading just above the $2 support, so this means that it has a long way to go before it hits the analyst’s targets. The expectation of XRP ETFs being launched has also been put forward by many in the community as a potential factor that could trigger a rise in the XRP price. Related Reading: Crypto Analyst Reveals XRP Price Crash In The Short-Term, Here’s The Target Previously, there had been rumors that the ProShares XRP ETFs would launch on April 30. However, Bloomberg’s ETF expert James Seyffart has said that there are no plans to launch on this date, and there is no specified date yet. Nevertheless, the fund is expected to launch its XRP ETFs in the short to medium term, and this is expected to be a catalyst for an XRP price increase. c
The XRP price rallied again to $2.22 after a relief rally rocked Bitcoin and the crypto market. This was fueled by comments from US President Donald Trump that the tariffs on China are expected to be significantly reduced, even though they would not be zero. In the aftermath of this recovery, though, the XRP price has begun to retrace, suggesting that a local top may have been reached. However, some developments for XRP could see a kickstart to the bull rally. CME Group Announces XRP Futures Launch The XRP community has been rocked by positive news once again after the CME Group announced that it would be launching a futures contracts investment vehicle for XRP. The derivatives exchange seems to be taking advantage of the hype around the XRP price over the last few months, especially with the conclusion of the Ripple vs. SEC lawsuit on the horizon. Related Reading: Bitcoin Sees Largest ETF Inflows Since January, Becomes 5th Largest Asset In The World CME Group revealed that the futures contracts would be a cash-settled one, allowing investors to be able to bet on the XRP price rising or going down. This allows for exposure to XRP without having to actually buy and hold the digital asset itself. This is akin to the Bitcoin futures launched back in October 2021, setting the stage for the approval of Spot Bitcoin ETFs later in January 2024. The exchange revealed that it plans to launch the very first XRP futures contract on May 19th if the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) gives its approval. This news has been positively received in the XRP community, with Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse calling it “an incredibly important and exciting step in the continued growth of the XRP market.” Additionally, the XRP price jumped above $2.2 in response to the news. It is now sitting at an 88% of all votes being bullish, with only 12% expecting the price to fall further from here. Crypto analyst Armando Pantoja has also called out a possible bullish action brewing for the XRP price. According to the analysis, momentum is building after the price bounced off key support just above $2, and there is no major resistance in sight. He set the target at $2.50, which would mean a 20% jump in price from here. Featured image from Dall.E, chart from TradingView.com
The XRP price crossing the $10 mark into the double-digit territory remains a widespread school of thought, and crypto analysts have, at different points, shared analyses that seem to support this notion. Most especially, since the XRP price broke the $3 mark and is now holding support above $2, it has given fuel to these expectations. One crypto analyst takes it a step further by giving a close timeline for when XRP could break above $20. 4 Reasons Why The XRP Price Could Rally Crypto analyst and XRP advocate, Diana on X (formerly Twitter), put forward a total of five different reasons why they believe that the XRP price is headed for double digits. These range from broader market moves to more specific developments to XRP. Related Reading: Bitcoin Price Still Has A Chance To Clear $90,000 If It Breaks This Level The first of these reasons is the historical performance and technical analysis. The crypto analyst points to the rally in 2024 that saw the XRP price cross $3 for the first time since 2017. Currently, the altcoin is seeing a consolidation after a price crash, but continues to hold above the Ichimoku support. If the XRP price repeats the rally from 2024, then a 600% rally to $17.50 could be on the horizon. Another reason why the XRP price could explode is the Ripple versus the Securities and Exchange Commission’s battle coming to an end. Once this is resolved, the analyst believes the regulatory clarity it brings would give institutions insight to buy into the altcoin. Next is the high number of XRP ETFs that have been filed so far. Pointing to the performance of Bitcoin and Ethereum after their respective ETFs were approved, the XRP price could see a similar rise in price. Moving toward adoption, the ISO 20022 and the Fedwire adoption is another catalyst revealed by Diana. It is possible that the Fedwire could see XRP embedded in global banking rails, bringing newfound utility that could trigger another XRP price rally. Timeline To Reach $20-$25 As for when the XRP price could climb above $20, the crypto analyst believes that this could happen as early as January 2026. Using the fundamentals, she points to a 600% post-ETF rally similar to that of Bitcoin, which would mean that from here, it would take it to $17.50. But a 1,000% rally could possibly take it as high as $27.50. Related Reading: Bearish Case For Bitcoin: Analyst Warns Falling Wedge Is A Whale Trap That Could Drag Price To $67k For the three possible scenarios, the crypto analyst predicts a 300% rally to $10 as a conservative target. Then a 500% rally to $17.50 as a base target. Finally, a 1,000% rally to $27.50 as an aggressive target. However, in all of this, the crypto analyst says the XRP price must break $3.40 for another rally to take place. Featured image from Dall.E, chart from Tradingbview.com
Ripple is again breaking into the Asia market with a new XRP product, which would help drive institutional adoption. This move has been made in partnership with HashKey Capital, which launched this fund in order to expand institutional access to the altcoin. Ripple Invests In HashKey’s XRP Product In an X post, Hashkey Capital announced that it is launching Asia’s first XRP Tracker Fund with Ripple as an early investor. The asset manager noted that this move represents a significant step in expanding institutional access to XRP. Related Reading: Cardano Price Surge To $1.7: Here Are The Factors To Drive The Recovery The firm further stated that it chose XRP because the altcoin is at the forefront of cross-border payments, thanks to Ripple’s payment services, and enables faster, cheaper, and more efficient transactions than traditional systems, such as SWIFT. XRP is also enabling the tokenization of Real World Assets (RWAs) on its native blockchain, the XRP Ledger (XRPL). HashKey added that financial institutions and enterprises worldwide are already using XRP. The asset manager also noted that the XRP Tracker Fund is its third tracker fund, following its Bitcoin and Ethereum exchange-traded funds (ETFs). The firm also raised the possibility of converting the fund into an ETF within the next one to two years, subject to regulatory approval. This move will further broaden institutional access. Beyond the XRP Tracker Fund, HashKey Capital and Ripple are also partnering to explore new investment products, cross-border DeFi solutions, and tokenization. This includes the potential launch of a money market fund (MMF) on the XRPL. Meanwhile, for the tracker fund, Ripple will seed the initial investment. Hashkey stated that with Ripple as an anchor investor, this fund marks a “deepening collaboration” between two leaders in the blockchain space. The asset manager reaffirmed that the goal is to bring more institutional capital into regulated XRP products and the broader digital asset ecosystem. Ripple continues to make moves to boost XRP’s adoption. The crypto firm recently agreed to acquire prime broker Hidden Road for $1.25 billion, one of the largest deals in crypto history. Through this acquisition, the crypto firm aims to boost XRP and the RLUSD’s utility as it looks to make its mark in both the traditional finance (TradFi) and decentralized finance (DeFi) space. XRP Could Allegedly Play A Major Role in The Federal Reserve’s Plans In an X post, crypto commentator CryptoGeek alleged that the Federal Reserve has officially hinted that they may use XRP to power the blockchain component of their FedNow payment system. CryptoGeek added that this has come following multiple rumored meetings with Ripple. However, the Fed has yet to make any official statement on this development. XRP remains one of the most popular coins in the market, with a cult-like community that has supported it for years. With the bullish sentiment surrounding it, the altcoin has performed quite well and continues to inspire support. The most recent developments for XRP have been the ETF filings that suggest it might be the next altcoin to get an SEC nod after Ethereum. The number of filings also puts it well ahead of investor favorites such as Solana and Dogecoin in the running for the next ETF approval. XRP ETF Filings Climb To 10 XRP ETF filings have been coming out of the market over the past year, especially with the approvals of Ethereum Spot ETFs. These ETFs are expected to give institutional investors an official vehicle to get proper exposure to the market. As Bitcoin and Ethereum ETFs have been done and dusted, issuers have looked to other large cap altcoins to bring into the market. Related Reading: Analyst Who Called Dogecoin Price Rally In 2024 Predicts 300% Rally In April The next favorites on the list have been XRP, in addition to heavy hitters such as Solana, Dogecoin, and Litecoin. However, in the race, XRP has clearly differentiated itself in terms of interest, boasting twice as many filings as any other altcoin. According to data from Kaito Research, there are currently 10 XRP ETF filings pending approval or rejection from the SEC. In contrast, there are five Solana ETF filings, 3 Litecoin filing, and 3 Dogecoin filings. This shows clearly that interest in XRP as the next altcoin to gain ETF approval is the highest. Additionally, the SEC has acknowledged the XRP ETF filings from industry leaders such as Grayscale. There are also filings from ProShares, Franklin Templeton, Bitwise, 21Shares, among others. However, BlackRock has not made a move to file for an XRP ETF despite leading the Bitcoin and Ethereum ETF campaigns. Nevertheless, the filings for XRP ETFs remain a big deal for the altcoinm and their approval could trigger another wave of price hikes. ETFs And The SEC Battle Conclusion For many, the major hindrance to an SEC approval of an XRP ETF was the ongoing battle between the crypto firm and the regulator, which began in 2020. However, in March 2025, Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse announced that the case was officially over. Related Reading: Is The XRP Price Mirroring Bitcoin’s Macro Action? Despite breaking above $3 earlier this year, the XRP price has since gone on to disappoint investors with multiple crashes that have rocked the altcoin. This has seen the cryptocurrency lose almost 50% of its acquired value between late 2024 and early 2025. Nevertheless, this has failed to erode bullish sentiment, with predictions for higher prices dominating the community. Time To Go Long On The XRP Price? A crypto analyst on X (formerly Twitter) has renewed bullish hope after identifying an important formation on the XRP price chart. The analysis pointed out that the XRP Price is still moving within a descending channel, a formation that usually signals a bearish move. Related Reading: Major Ethereum Whale Dumps 10,000 ETH After 2 Years, Is It Time To Get Out? However, the downtrend has pushed the altcoin’s price to the point where it is now testing the bottom trend line. This bottom trend line has been known to act as strong support previously and is expected to do so this time around. With the support forming, it is likely that the XRP Price is gearing up for a bounce from this level. Furthermore, the crypto analyst points out that XRP is also forming a rounded bottom inside this descending channel. Such a rounded bottom could signal an end to the downtrend from here. As the formation grows, the main level of support is now sitting at $1.6. So far, this level has held up quite nicely and bulls have been using it as a bounce-off point for recovery. Given this, the crypto analyst advises that entries for the XRP price are best at around $1.70 to $1.85. This is not the only good news for the XRP price with support forming. If it holds and the altcoin does indeed bounce from this level toward $2, then the next important levels lie between $2 and $2.2. These serve as the levels for the bulls to beat to confirm a bullish continuation toward a possible all-time high. If the bulls are successful, then three profit targets are placed by the crypto analyst. These include $2.3385, $2.8160, and $3.3062, pushing it toward January 2025 highs. Related Reading: Uncertainty Rocks Market As ETH/BTC Drops To 6-Year Low, Where Is Bitcoin Headed Next? The Bearish Case While the analysis is inherently bullish, there is still the possibility of invalidation that could send the XRP price tumbling further. As the analyst points out, the major support currently lies at $1.6. This means that bulls must hold this level. Otherwise, there is the risk of a much deeper correction as a liquidity sweep could send support further down to $1.3. Nevertheless, with buy sentiments building once again, it is likely that XRP will follow the bullish scenario in this case. Chart from TradingView.com
Ripple Labs has announced a major acquisition to shock the market out of an otherwise dreadful week. Taking to X (formerly Twitter), the crypto firm announced that it has acquired Hidden Road, a brokerage, clearing, and financing firm as it moves forward in its mission to become the leader for institutional investors moving into the digital assets space. Ripple Acquires Hidden Road For $1.25 Billion The Tuesday announcement by Ripple has further solidified the mission that the crypto firm has long put forward, and that is to provide instant and quick transfer of value for traditional and institutional investors coming into the digital assets space. Related Reading: Crypto Pundit Reveals What Will Happen If XRP Price Does Not Break $2.3 As CEO Brad Garlinghouse explained in a separate X post, the decision to acquire Hidden Road for $1.25 billion comes after a long-standing customer relationship with the company. Garlinghouse revealed that Ripple understands the breadth of Hidden Road’s expertise, making it a prime candidate for the acquisition. The integration of the XRP Ledger by Hidden Road will allow for cheap and fast movement of value to the brokerage’s customers, which moves over $3 trillion annually. A portion of this massive value is expected to move through the ledger, as well as using the RLUSD stablecoin as collateral for brokerage services. Additionally, Hidden Road will be able to expand its capacity for value transfer, allowing Ripple to process even more volume. “With this deal and the backing of Ripple’s significant balance sheet, Hidden Road will exponentially expand its capacity to service its pipeline and become the largest non-bank prime broker globally,” Garlinghouse’s post read. This acquisition comes after Ripple acquired Standard Custody back in February 2024. Standard Custody provided an online platform offering clients digital asset custody solutions, enabling Ripple to move into the custody market as well. XRP Price Responds Despite the Ripple announcement, the XRP price has remained muted as it continues to struggle below $2, which has since turned to resistance. At the time of writing, XRP is still holding at $1.96, despite its almost 10% in the last 24 hours. Related Reading: Crypto Analyst Warns Of Volume Drop That Could Trigger 60% Bitcoin Price Crash To $49,000 According to data from Coinmarketcap, the XRP daily trading volume has seen a notable decline, dropping approximately 24% in the last day. This suggests a decline in participation from investors, due to the bearish headwinds that continue to blow through the crypto market. A recovery from here is highly dependent on Bitcoin, which continues to dominate the market and lead the charge. Chart from Tradingview.com
Crypto pundit Andrei Jikh has reignited the $100 XRP price target, sparking a bullish sentiment in the XRP community. The analyst outlined several factors that could contribute to the parabolic rally to the ambitious $100 target. Factors That Could Contribute To The $100 XRP Price Target In a YouTube video, Jikh highlighted a potential end to the Ripple SEC lawsuit as one of the factors that could spark the XRP price rally to the $100 target. He cited the SEC’s removal of the Ripple case from its website, which indicates that legal pressure is easing. The Commission’s agreement with Binance to pause their ongoing legal battle has also sparked optimism that the Ripple lawsuit could soon end. Related Reading: XRP Price Enters Golden Pocket: Analyst Says It’s A Good Buy At These Levels Jikh then alluded to a Nasdaq report stating that 80% of Japanese banks are set to adopt XRP for global payments. The analyst is confident that this move will cause adoption to skyrocket, which could contribute to the projected rally to $100. He noted that Japan’s banking system is huge, which makes this a big deal for the altcoin. Furthermore, the crypto pundit highlighted the potential approval of the XRP ETFs as another factor that could drive the XRP price to the $100 target. He noted how the Bitcoin price surged to new highs after the Bitcoin ETFs were approved, and Jikh believes something similar could happen. Another factor that the crypto analyst believes could contribute to the XRP price rally to $100 is the possibility of Ripple’s payment system replacing SWIFT. He highlighted how the global payment industry is worth trillions of dollars. As such, Ripple processing a huge chunk of these global payments could cause XRP’s utility and demand to skyrocket, ultimately impacting its price. Other Bullish Fundamentals For The Altcoin Meanwhile, Jikh also alluded to the XRP Ledger (XRPL) and Ripple’s Real USD (RLUSD) as factors that could contribute to the XRP price rally to $100. He noted that the XRPL processes around 1,500 transactions, making it a potential option for tokenization plans, which is bullish for the asset. Related Reading: XRP Bulls Shake Off Crash, Target This Major Resistance On The Road To $3.85 If the XRPL becomes the go-to platform for tokenizing real-world assets such as stocks and bonds, this will help drive demand up and make the crypto more valuable. The RLUSD stablecoin is also bullish for XRP as its burn mechanism helps remove XRP from circulation as its utility grows. Jikh then alluded to the possibility of Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse being on the White House Crypto Advisory Council. This is especially bullish for the XRP price as Garlinghouse being on the Council could cement its place in the newly-created US sovereign wealth fund. At the time of writing, the asset’s price is trading at around $2.55, up over 4% in the last 24 hours, according to data from CoinMarketCap. The US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has officially acknowledged the receipt of Grayscale Investments’ 19b-4 filing to convert its XRP Trust into a spot exchange-traded fund (ETF). The agency’s confirmation—disclosed by Bloomberg ETF analyst James Seyffart on 14th February—signals the start of the formal review process that could ultimately decide whether the product is cleared for public listing. James Seyffart, who reported the news via his X account, stated: “There it is — The SEC just acknowledged Grayscale & NYSE’s 19b-4 filing to list an XRP ETF (this was mostly expected but officially means the clock will start soon for this and Dogecoin).” Why This Is An ‘Enormous Message’ For Ripple The SEC’s acknowledgment kicks off a regulatory timetable, opening a window for public commentary and multiple rounds of decision-making. The agency is expected to follow this step-by-step procedure to either approve, reject, or request additional information concerning the proposed XRP ETF. Related Reading: Pundit Sounds Major Crash Alarm For XRP Price As ’12-Year Cycle’ Comes To An End Although formal acknowledgment does not guarantee an approval further down the line, it underscores that the SEC is sufficiently engaged to put the filing on the official docket. Nate Geraci, President of the ETF Store and Co-Founder of the ETF Institute, underlined the significance of this action in the context of the SEC’s ongoing legal dispute with Ripple. He remarked: “SEC has acknowledged NYSE’s 19b-4 filing to list & trade Grayscale XRP ETF… Obviously a potentially huge statement re: SEC’s case vs Ripple.” Geraci further elaborated on what he perceives as a remarkable development: “Shocked more people aren’t talking about SEC accepting XRP ETF filing… They have open litigation w/ Ripple. Meanwhile, they just acknowledged filing of ETF holding asset in dispute (they easily could have rejected this filing). Enormous message IMO.” Related Reading: Massive XRP Accumulation – Whales Bought 520 Million XRP During Market Dip These statements highlight how the SEC’s willingness to initiate the review process—rather than dismissing it outright—could indicate the SEC’s openness to settle or drop the Ripple case which is currently at the Court of Appeals. Fox Business journalist Eleanor Terrett provided additional context on why the acknowledgment alone is noteworthy: “Because it means this SEC is being more open-minded and not flat out refusing to consider these products. Recall, exchanges pulled the SOL 19b-4 applications in December when the Gensler SEC signaled it would not engage with them. […] Next up, the SEC should acknowledge the XRP ETF applications from issuers that filed later than Grayscale — including Bitwise, 21Shares, Canary Funds, Wisdom Tree. The 240-day window for Grayscale’s approval starts when it gets posted to the federal register which should be in a couple of days from now.” Following the announcement, XRP’s price rose by over 5% in a relatively muted overall market. However, technical analysis of the XRP/USDT 4-hour chart indicates that as of press time, the token failed to break through a major resistance level. The rejection occurred at the 0.5 Fibonacci retracement (Fib) around $2.58. If buyers manage to push XRP above this threshold, the next critical resistance is near $2.77 (the 0.618 Fib). A sustained rally beyond that point could see the token retest its January 25 high at $3.40. Featured image created with DALL.E, chart from TradingView.com
XRP has been forming a red bearish candle since the beginning of February, which is a result of a price crash that took place at the start of the month. Although THE ALTCOIN has since recovered slightly, it has yet to return to its January open. Nonetheless, the majority of crypto investors remain bullish on the long-term prospects for XRP, with analysts doubling down on optimistic price targets ranging from $2 to $5. However, a crypto analyst on the TradingView platform has presented a compelling bearish case for XRP, warning that the asset is nearing the end of a crucial 12-year cycle, which could trigger a severe correction down to $0.1. XRP’s 12-Year Cycle Nears Completion. Major Correction Ahead? According to the analyst, XRP has almost completed a 12-year cycle, and the conclusion of this phase is going to be a very intense correction of the XRP price. While acknowledging that XRP could still reach a slightly higher high before the full decline begins, the analyst believes that the probability of significant further upside is low and warns that a continued correction might occur over the coming months. Related Reading: XRP Bulls Shake Off Crash, Target This Major Resistance On The Road To $3.85 The warning is centered around technical indicators and technical patterns, particularly a long-term triangle pattern. This long-term triangle pattern persisted for five years between XRP’s all-time high of $3.40 in 2018 up until 2024, before breaking out into a final fifth wave. This final fifth wave has allegedly peaked at $3.40 in January 2025, and the next move from here is an extended move downwards. The analysis also references the Bullish/Bearish Reversal Bar Indicator by Skyrexio, which confirmed the conclusion of the 12-year cycle. Now, the proposed target for the correction is set around $0.1, based on the 0.5 Fibonacci retracement level. Contrasting Prediction As Majority Remain Bullish On The Altcoin’s Future At the time of writing, XRP is trading at $2.43, meaning that a correction to $0.1 would represent a 95% decline from its current level. Such a drop would not only erase nearly all of XRP’s gains since 2017 but would also mark one of the most devastating collapses in its history. Interestingly, this projected loss in XRP market cap would be even greater than the one witnessed during the years it was suppressed by the weight of the SEC lawsuit against its parent company Ripple. Many analysts and investors expect extended price growth in anticipation of institutional adoption and regulatory clarity under the new Trump administration. One analyst even recently predicted that the XRP price is about to make an all-time high run to $5. Another analyst, Javon Marks, noted that XRP is well on track to reach over $100 in the coming years. Featured image from Medium, chart from Tradingview.com
The XRP price has rallied to its all-time high (ATH) of $3.4, sparking bullish sentiment in the XRP community. This price surge is due to bullish fundamentals, including Donald Trump’s receptiveness to a crypto reserve that would include the coin. Factors Behind The XRP Rally To Its ATH CoinMarketCap data shows that the XRP price rallied to $3.40 yesterday, a price level that represents its current all-time high (ATH) on some exchanges like Binance and Kraken. This price surge has occurred due to several factors, including a report that Donald Trump is receptive to the idea of an America-first strategic reserve. This is bullish for these coins, as it would lead to greater adoption for them. This news already sparked a bullish sentiment among investors, leading to this XRP price surge. Before now, these investors, especially crypto whales, were accumulating, another factor contributing to the XRP price surge. Bitcoinist reported that this category of investors had bought 1.43 billion coins in two months. This is massive, considering how these accumulation trends always lead to price discovery, which is being witnessed with XRP at the moment. This accumulation trend looks to have intensified on the news of the potential crypto reserve involving XRP. CoinMarketData shows that the coin’s trading volume has surged by 7% in the last 24 hours, with $24.18 billion traded during this period. This surge in trading volume has also contributed to the XRP price rally. Meanwhile, it is worth mentioning that the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) filed its opening brief in its appeal against Ripple. However, this development was considered bullish for the XRP price, as the Commission did not dispute Judge Analisa Torres’ ruling that XRP isn’t a security. Why The Price Surge Is Likely To Continue The XRP price surge will likely continue based on its bullish fundamentals and technicals. From a fundamental perspective, Donald Trump is set to take office on January 20, meaning that this crypto reserve, which will include XRP, could come to life sooner rather than later. Trump’s administration is also bullish for XRP because of the possible emergence of pro-crypto Paul Atkins as the next SEC Chair. Crypto analyst CasiTrades predicted that XRP will break its ATH and rally to between $8 and $13. At the time of writing, the XRP price is trading at around $3.34, up over 7% in the last 24 hours, according to data from CoinMarketCap. Featured image created with Dall.E, chart from Tradingview.com

A new bullish target for the XRP price has been set, as a crypto analyst has announced a recent breakout from a Symmetrical Triangle pattern. The analyst has shared a chart showing XRP’s price action on a 3-day timeframe, highlighting key resistance levels that could help propel the cryptocurrency to a bullish target of $8. Symmetrical Triangle To Push XRP Price To $8 According to the TradingView crypto analyst identified by the pseudonym “PlaceUrBetsPlease,” the XRP price is breaking out from a Symmetrical Triangle pattern, suggesting upward momentum. A Symmetrical Triangle is a chart pattern that signals a period of consolidation, showing no clear indication of a bullish or bearish feeling. Related Reading: Bitcoin Bearish Case: Continued Rejection At $100,000 Increases Likelihood Of Breakdown The analyst highlighted key resistance and support levels in his chart, projecting a new ATH target for the XRP price. He emphasized that the cryptocurrency has maintained a price above the weekly support area of $2.21, a critical level reinforcing its bullish position. Currently, XRP is set to retest a new resistance level at $2.35, which the analyst suggests is required to trigger the cryptocurrency’s next upward push. The TradingView market expert has also revealed that after XRP’s breakout from the Symmetrical Triangle pattern, the next move is a massive price surge to $8. The analyst’s projection aligns with Fibonacci extension levels, a technical tool for predicting potential price targets during an uptrend. In the presented chart, he suggested that the price levels at $4 (1.272 Fib), $6 (2.618 Fib), and $7 (3.618 Fib) would serve as potential resistance areas for XRP to overcome and hit a new ATH target of $8. This bullish target corresponds with the 4.236 Fibonacci extension level, marking a 1,500% surge from the initial breakout point. Notably, the TradingView expert disclosed that his predicted XRP price target of $8 coincides with historical percentage gains observed during previous bull runs. The analyst also notes that XRP’s previous ATH above the $3.32 level, as indicated by the price chart, is within reach. The cryptocurrency achieved its all-time high of $3.84 during its bull rally in 2018, marking one of its most exponential price surges since its inception. Expect A Pull Back Along The Way While the TradingView analyst remains significantly bullish on XRP’s price outlook, he also cautions about potential pullbacks and market volatility. He warns that investors and traders should be prepared for a possible 10%, 20%, and 30% price pullback as XRP moves towards its predicted target. Based on CoinMarketCap’s data, the XRP price is currently trading at $2.45, meaning the cryptocurrency would need to rise by approximately 233% to reach an $8 ATH.
