As Bitcoin (BTC) recovers from its recent drop below the $75,000 support, some market observers outline the key levels that will define the direction of the flagship crypto’s next major move. Related Reading: Dogecoin Millionaires Are On The Move Again, Here’s What They’re Doing Now Bitcoin Between Two Crucial Levels Over the weekend, Bitcoin fell roughly 4.5% amid geopolitical tensions, reaching a one-month low of $74,289 before recovering. On Monday, the leading cryptocurrency surged another 1.6%, jumping back above $77,000. Amid this performance, Ali Martinez outlined two crucial price levels that will determine whether BTC “launches into its next major expansion phase, or if it extends its current value reset to offer a premier buying opportunity.” The analyst explained that Bitcoin has been in a consolidation phase since the February crash, moving within a channel throughout this structural reset, allowing the market to build liquidity “before its next definitive move.” Notably, BTC is near the upper boundary of its channel following a recent rejection at the crucial $82,500 resistance. Martinez noted that buyer conviction has been aggressively scaling up as the price tests this level, with derivatives traders heavily positioning for a breakout, and funding rates recently hitting 0.4%, the highest level in over two months. He previously explained that when funding rates climb this high, it signals that the derivatives market is “completely dominated by aggressive buyers,” and “traders are willing to pay a hefty premium just to maintain their long positions” as the predominant market bias remains significantly tilted toward an upcoming expansion. Meanwhile, on-chain data shows that some of the largest whales have been using this tight range to “rebalance their portfolios,” redistributing over 18,447 Bitcoin, worth roughly $1.42 billion. “This supply consolidation has placed BTC between resistance at $78,258 and support at $75,733,” he stated. Therefore, reclaiming this resistance could trigger a rally to $84,569, while losing the key support could send Bitcoin to $66,898. More Pain To Come? Other market observers also highlighted the $75,000 and $78,000 as the crucial levels in the short and mid-term. Daan Crypto trades emphasized that the Bitcoin bull market support band is currently between these levels. As BTC has failed to hold the upper boundary of this band as support for two consecutive weeks, Daan affirmed that bulls “need to keep holding (…) to keep this short/mid timeframe momentum in their favor.” He previously warned that falling below the $75,000-$76,000 area and weekly closes below it would suggest that the April-May recovery rally was “just a big deviation/dead cat bounce.” Meanwhile, Merlijn The Trader noted that Bitcoin has been rejected from the 200-Day Moving Average (MA). According to the post, this is the same level that capped the 2022 bull trap, which led to a 40% correction from that area. Like the other analysts, he affirmed that losing the $75,000–76,000 zone would accelerate the move to new lows, with an initial target of $67,000, where a CME Gap is located. He also pointed out that BTC’s tops tend to end the same way: three bumps on the 21-week SMA followed by the market lows Related Reading: HYPE Rally Accelerates Above $60 As High-Profile Whale Quietly Builds His Position The trader observed that after reaching its $69,000 cycle peak in 2021, Bitcoin retested the 21-week SMA on three occasions during its correction before reaching its bear market bottom. This time, BTC has retested this key indicator twice, suggesting that another drop to the “real bottom,” near $50,000, could follow in the coming months, if history repeats. A crypto market analyst has shared the key levels to watch as Bitcoin (BTC) confirms a key level as support for the first time in months, opening the door to a continuation of its April recovery rally. Related Reading: This Signal Has Predicted Every Bitcoin Bottom, Here’s What It’s Saying Now Bitcoin EMA Reclaim Signals More Upside Potential After closing the week above a crucial level, Bitcoin jumped 2.2% to break above the $80,000 resistance for the first time since January. The flagship crypto had been trading between $74,000 and $79,000 for the past few weeks, failing to reclaim the range’s upper boundary despite multiple attempts. On Sunday, BTC closed above the $78,000 mark for the second consecutive week, confirming its 21-week Exponential Moving Average (EMA) as support. Previously, analyst Rekt Capital highlighted the 21-week and 50-week EMAs as two key levels for the cryptocurrency’s ongoing rally, explaining that these moving averages tend to act as support during bull markets and as strong resistance during bear markets. In a Monday analysis, the market observer noted that these levels “didn’t flip into a picture-perfect resistance” this time despite losing them as support after its pre-bearish crossover at the start of the year. Nonetheless, their divergence created a “general supply area” rather than the “general demand area” configuration, typically seen during bull markets. Now, “BTC has Weekly Closed above the EMA, performed a very volatile retest of it, and Weekly Closed above it again.” As a result, Bitcoin is positioned for upside, the analyst affirmed, adding that it has the price strength confirmation after last week’s close, but it will need continued stability in the absence of a follow-through move higher. If trend continuation comes, the analyst suggested that a surge deeper into the supply zone is likely, with the 50-week EMA, currently around the $86,000-$87,000 area, as the ultimate stop on any upside wick. “Generally, though, anything within this supply area is where the price should be rejecting and failing to rally higher,” he warned. BTC At Trend Continuation Or Rally Ceiling? As Bitcoin attempts to reclaim the $80,000 level, Rekt Capital affirmed that the $82,500 region “doesn’t have a defined role.” Notably, this crucial horizontal area has served as strong support and marks the base of a macro triangle formation that was lost during the February price crash. “The first time price reached it, we produced a decent rebound into new All Time Highs. The next time the price tagged the same level, we produced a much lesser rally, a sign that the support there was already weakening. Now, $82,500 doesn’t have a defined role. But we may be defining it as we speak,” the analyst stated. Related Reading: Bitcoin Price Expansion To $97,000 Is Only Being Blocked By One Pesky Retest He explained that a rejection without breaking beyond this resistance would make this the price ceiling, forcing a retest of BTC’s old All-Time Highs (ATH) area between $69,000 and $74,000, as we are just halfway through the bear market. In addition, Bitcoin has not been able to reclaim a macro triangle during this part of the cycle, once the price breaks down. Rekt Capital pointed out that to invalidate the Four-Year Cycle thesis and call the end of the bear market, BTC would need to break back above the macro triangle base on the monthly timeframe and above its macro downtrend, located above the $96,000 area. As Bitcoin (BTC) retests a critical support level, analysts have warned that the leading cryptocurrency is facing its most important week in months, which could make or break its recovery rally. Related Reading: Bitcoin Set For $88,000? Analysts Forecast May Breakout After Key Weekly Close Bitcoin Price At A Crossroads On Tuesday, Bitcoin dropped below the $76,000 support for the first time in a week, falling to the $75,666 level before bouncing. The flagship crypto has been trading between $74,000-$80,000 after breaking out of its three-month range earlier this month. Amid its recent performance, analyst Sjuul from AltCryptoGems affirmed that BTC is at a make-or-break moment that might decide its fate, as both the technicals and fundamentals “are at a crossroads.” From a technical perspective, he explained that the cryptocurrency is currently facing “the most relevant resistance on the chart.” Notably, the $80,000 area sits at the top of the rising channel or bear market formation developing on BTC’s chart. It also marks a key horizontal level that has served as a major support zone since the Q4 2024 rally. In addition, there’s a setup around this level that resembles the price action in January. At the time, Bitcoin traded within a bear flag pattern and faced strong resistance around the $97,000 horizontal level. After failing to reclaim this area, the flagship crypto fell to the $60,000 lows. According to the analysis, an initial rejection from this level is normal, but investors should monitor BTC’s reaction below it. “As you can see, the local structure remains bullish, so it will be important for buyers to keep momentum here in order to attempt a breakout once again,” Sjuul detailed. Therefore, the “line in the sand” will be around the $74,000 support, as the structure and former resistance are confluent there. “If bulls manage to hold that level, we truly have a good chance of breaking above $80K and potentially flying to the next resistance level at $86K,” he added. FOMC Meeting To Determine BTC’s Fate? Sjuul warned that this week is probably “one of the most important weeks for BTC in months,” listing Wednesday’s FOMC meeting as the biggest catalyst for the market that could push prices in either direction. He highlighted that it will also be Federal Reserve (Fed) Chairman Jerome Powell’s last meeting. “Wednesday isn’t just a rate decision; it’s Powell’s final press conference. Every word will carry extra weight.” Analyst Ted Pillows pointed out that the appointment of a new Fed chair has historically put pressure on the markets, with Bitcoin dropping over 50% each time. In January 2014, BTC crashed 84% in the following months after Janet Yellen took over. Related Reading: Bitcoin To $125,000: Arthur Hayes Says The Setup Is Turning Bullish Similarly, the flagship crypto fell 73% and 61% in February 2018 and May 2022 when Powell was confirmed for his first and second terms. If history repeats itself, Bitcoin could see a major correction next month when Kevin Warsh is expected to become the next Fed chair. Ultimately, Sjuul emphasized the importance of the $74,000 support through this week, noting that if this level is lost, “things could get pretty ugly as we would form a very nasty deviation” back in the previous range, which could open the door for a retest of the February lows. As the end of April approaches, some market observers suggest that Bitcoin (BTC) could be preparing to reclaim a crucial level in the coming days, potentially opening the door to another recovery rally next month. Related Reading: Why The 42% Crash From ATH Is Actually Good For Bitcoin And The Crypto Market Bitcoin Sees First Weekly Close Above Key Levels Bitcoin has closed above a crucial level for the first time since January, setting the stage for a potential rally toward higher levels even though it failed to break through another resistance level. Notably, the flagship crypto ended the week above $78,000, a level that was lost after the late January-early February market crash. Amid this close, BTC reclaimed the 21-week Exponential Moving Average (EMA) in the weekly timeframe, one of the key barriers after the recent price jump. Last week, analyst Rekt Capital affirmed that if Bitcoin closed the week above this level, it could prevent a retest of the $73,000 area and “would be worth watching for whether the EMA can be reclaimed as support,” as it tends to act as resistance during bear markets. Now that the cryptocurrency has closed above this level, confirmation of the 21-week EMA as support could lead to a move toward the $81,000-$82,500 area. Similarly, Ali Martinez said that the price could rebound toward the $81,500 area if the $77,000 continues to hold. According to the analyst, BTC is consolidating within a rising channel on the 4-hour chart, with the lower boundary currently located around $77,000. As he noted, “If this floor holds, it could serve as a strategic rebound zone to send BTC back toward the channel mid-range near $81,500, with a secondary target at the channel top of roughly $84,500.” BTC Eyes May Breakout From ‘New Cage’ Analyst Sjuul from AltCryptoGems asserted that Bitcoin appears to have “found a new cage to be trapped in.” After breaking out of the $66,000-$74,000 consolidation range earlier this month, BTC has since traded between $74,000 and $80,000. To the market watcher, this would not be a bad sign for bulls, “as long as it consolidates above $74K and doesn’t break down below.” Michaël van de Poppe noted that the markets are “shaping up for more upside” while Bitcoin holds crucial levels, but warned that there are key levels to consider despite the bullish momentum. According to the post, a decisive reclaim of $79,000 open the gates toward the next key resistance area between $85,000-$88,000, which could lead to a retest of the $100,000 phycological barrier over time. Related Reading: Bitcoin Could Hit New All-Time High Fast On Quantum Fix, Capriole Founder Says Meanwhile, no clear breakout would lead to a consolidation period before another retest of the key resistance. In that case, holding $73,500 would be crucial, he noted, as losing this area would set the stage for a retest of the lows. Nonetheless, he suggested that Bitcoin will likely retest the $85,000-$88,000 area in May and correct or consolidate from there. It’s worth noting that this resistance area was lost in early January and has not been tested since. Featured Image from Unsplash.com, Chart from TradingView.com

As Bitcoin (BTC) attempts to reclaim a crucial level as support, spot exchange-traded funds (ETFs) based on the flagship cryptocurrency have registered their best performance since the October market crash. Related Reading: Eric Trump Calls Justin Sun’s Lawsuit ‘Ridiculous’ As WLFI Hits New All-Time Low Bitcoin ETFs ‘Back In The High Life’ US spot Bitcoin ETFs extended their positive streak to eight days after pulling in $223.2 million on Thursday, signaling strong demand for the investment products as the crypto market recovers. The BTC-based funds have been consistently seeing positive net flows since April 14, recording $2.09 billion in inflows during this period, according to SoSoValue data. This marks the category’s strongest performance across multiple timeframes since its late September-early October nine-day streak, when the products saw roughly $5.33 billion in inflows. In the weekly and monthly timeframes, Bitcoin ETFs are currently recording their best performance of 2026, tying March’s four-week streak but nearly doubling the monthly inflows, with $2.43 billion in April so far and four more days to go. Market observer Sjuul from AltCryptoGems asserted that sustained institutional demand is building again, highlighting that the products are about to close their second green month of 2026, and the first two-month streak since October 2025. Similarly, Bloomberg Senior ETF analyst Erich Balchunas affirmed that Bitcoin ETF flows are “back in the high life” as every single tracking period turns positive and cumulative net inflows hit $58.33 billion. “Every single rolling period we track is now positive, haven’t seen that in months (IBIT’s $3b is in Top 1% of all ETFs). Still tho, need a couple bil more to get back to breaking new ground in cumulative lifetime flows (62.8b),” he wrote on X. All Eyes On BTC’s Weekly Close Bitcoin ETFs’ performance comes as the flagship cryptocurrency continues to reject from a key resistance area. In a recent analysis, Rekt Capital said that while BTC’s price enjoys upside momentum, the key levels haven’t changed yet. Notably, BTC’s 21-week Exponential Moving Average (EMA), located around $78,000, remains an important resistance level as the cryptocurrency has been unable to reclaim it on the weekly timeframe. “If BTC Weekly Closes above the 21-week EMA, then it would be worth watching for whether the EMA can be reclaimed as support,” the analyst affirmed, adding that level tends to serve as resistance in bear markets. On the contrary, if BTC is unable to reclaim this level as support, it could push BTC’s price into a post-breakout retest of its Double Bottom pattern. Last week, Rekt Capital highlighted that Bitcoin had broken out of a Double Bottom formation, which could lead to a measured move toward the $81,000-$82,500 area. Related Reading: Ethereum Faces ‘Moment Of Truth’ As Price Eyes $2,450 Resistance – Breakout Loading? Now, he has asserted that the “Double Bottom formation top could always become a post-breakout retesting zone in the event of rejection from the EMA.” In addition, he emphasized that BTC remains below the base of the macro triangle formation it broke down from in late January. Historically, Bitcoin has not been able to reclaim a macro triangle during a bear market once the price breaks down. If this trend continues, the analyst warned, then the flagship crypto could see limited additional upside toward the pattern’s base before resuming its correction toward the market bottom. As Bitcoin (BTC) attempts to hold the $74,000-$75,000 area, an analyst suggested that the flagship crypto could see another 10% rally toward a key area, but warned that this level could be the ceiling. Related Reading: BNB Chain’s RWA Value Tops $3.5 Billion As Global Ecosystem Grows Bitcoin Double Bottom Breakout Targets Key Level In a Wednesday analysis, crypto analyst Rekt Capital shared an outlook for Bitcoin’s potential rally, as it holds the $73,000-$74,000 area as support for the first time in a month. The analyst highlighted that BTC’s price continues to move between its 2021 and 2024 all-time highs (ATHs), which have been a major resistance area since the early February correction. After the recent market rally, the flagship crypto retested the 2021 ATH as a new support level on the weekly timeframe, but ultimately rejected from the 2024 ATH during last week’s close. According to the analyst, if Bitcoin can weekly close above the 2024 ATH, located around $74,000, then the price could move into the high $70,000. “Until that confirmation, however, price will continue to be sandwiched between 2021 and 2024 old All Time Highs,” he added. Rekt Capital also noted that BTC has formed a double bottom pattern in the weekly timeframe, and is “now pressing beyond the resistance” of the formation. As he explained, the cryptocurrency would need a weekly close and a post-breakout retest of the top of the double bottom, around $72,810, to confirm a breakout. If it confirms a breakout from this formation, the price could rally toward the $81,000-$82,500 area in a Measured Move. Nonetheless, the analyst warned that, given the phase of the market cycle we are currently in, the price will likely develop a macro market structure that “will appear sufficiently bullish only to ultimately fail over time.” “The failure could occur by virtue of rejecting from the Double Bottom resistance, by failed post-breakout retest to register a fake-breakout, or by falling short of a Measured Move once the breakout is confirmed.” BTC Resembles 2014 Breakdown Rekt Capital also analyzed BTC’s historical behavior to assess the ongoing rally’s potential failure. The analyst noted that whenever Bitcoin has broken down from its macro triangle formation, the price usually retraces until it forms a bear market bottom. However, the way the cryptocurrency does that has differed from cycle to cycle, he detailed. In 2018 and 2022, the breakdown led to a very quick bearish acceleration toward the bear market bottom accumulation period. On the contrary, Bitcoin consolidated below the triangle base in 2014, retested it, and saw another leg down. This time, BTC’s performance resembles its 2014 breakdown, as it has been consolidating behind the triangle base after losing it in January. To the analyst, if the cryptocurrency continues to mirror its 2014 performance, the price could consolidate a bit longer, potentially rally to the base at $82,500, before rejecting. “Furthermore, Bitcoin tends to build major consolidation periods on breakdowns from Macro Triangles. In 2018 and 2022, these major consolidation periods developed at Bear Market bottoms,” Rekt Capital explained. Related Reading: Bitmine’s Ethereum Holdings Hits 4% Supply Milestone After 71,524 ETH Buy “Whereas in 2014, Bitcoin built two such periods: just beneath the Macro Triangle it broke down from, and then later at its respective Bear Market Bottom,” he continued. The analyst concluded that if history repeats, BTC’s current consolidation could precede additional downside, and another major consolidation period could develop during the bear market bottom. On-chain analytics firm Glassnode has highlighted how Bitcoin has only seen a relatively thin accumulation band form during the recent consolidation range. Bitcoin STH CBD Shows Accumulation Remains Thin In a new post on X, Glassnode has talked about the latest trend in the Bitcoin Cost Basis Distribution (CBD) of the short-term holders. The CBD here refers to an indicator that tells us about the amount of supply that was purchased at the various price levels visited by BTC in its history. Related Reading: Bitcoin Returns Mirror Late-2022 Levels Seen Before 67% Rally: Santiment The CBD of the short-term holders (STHs) specifically tracks this for the supply that was purchased within the past 155 days. The short time frame means that supply clusters on the indicator always thin out over time, whether by coins from them being moved at other price levels (thus regaining their cost basis there) or by maturing into the long-term holder (LTH) cohort, beyond the 155-day cutoff. Now, here is the chart shared by Glassnode that shows how the Bitcoin STH CBD has changed over the past year: As displayed in the above graph, the Bitcoin STH CBD gained a large supply cluster at the price lows seen back in November, indicating that a notable amount of fresh accumulation took place in response to the market crash. This dense supply zone then acted as a support cushion for the asset, helping stabilize it into a phase of consolidation. Eventually, though, the cryptocurrency’s bearish momentum returned and its price plummeted deep under the cluster. This implies that all tokens part of it have gone underwater. Besides the strong supply zone at the range’s lower end, the consolidation phase from November-January also resulted in some higher levels being filled out with supply. This accumulation wasn’t quite as strong as at the lows, but it still nonetheless showed that coins were actively changing hands. Recently, Bitcoin has stabilized into another phase of sideways movement, but from the chart, it’s apparent that this time there has neither been a strong dip buying response, nor a buildup of a significant supply cluster as the consolidation has gone on. That said, buying hasn’t been completely absent, with some supply starting to find cost basis inside the zone. “An accumulation cluster is forming in the $62k–$72k range,” noted Glassnode. “However, its intensity is modest relative to prior phases that preceded sustained expansions.” Related Reading: Bitcoin Recovery Requires STH Profitability Above 50%: Glassnode It now remains to be seen how the supply range will develop in the near future. For now, the foundation provided by it remains thin for a mid-term breakout, according to the analytics firm. Bitcoin (BTC) is retesting resistance levels as its price recovers the $71,000 mark. However, an analyst has warned that the bear market is expected to continue and that the latest bounce could be short-lived. Related Reading: Dogecoin Risks More Pain As Price Retests Critical Support – Analyst Warns Of 37% Breakdown Bitcoin Eyes Reclaim Of Former All-Time High Resistance On Tuesday, Bitcoin surged 7.5% from the Sunday lows toward the $71,000 area, retesting this key level for the second time in a week before momentarily retracing toward the $69,000 level. The cryptocurrency has been trading between the $63,000-$71,000 price range over the past month, briefly surging above the upper boundary during last week’s market bounce. However, BTC’s price has failed to hold its multiple breakout attempts amid the market volatility. In a Monday analysis, market watcher Rekt Capital observed that Bitcoin is interacting with two key levels that form “an important overhead resistance”: the 2021 and 2024 all-time highs (ATHs) at $69,000 and $71,300, respectively. As the analyst explained, these levels turned into resistance in the monthly timeframe after the flagship cryptocurrency closed February at $66,970. Since then, BTC has repeatedly tested these key levels from below in the daily timeframe but has failed to reclaim them. Instead, it has produced upside wicks above $69,000 and $71,300, signaling that the former ATHs are acting as rejection levels in shorter timeframes and could become key resistance if it monthly closes below them. “For Bitcoin to begin shifting this structure, price would need to Monthly Close above $69,000 by the end of March to position itself for a reclaim of the 2021 All Time High as support,” the analyst asserted. “Similarly, the 2024 All Time High at $71,300 would likely require multiple Monthly Closes above the level in order to properly establish a reclaim process,” he added. BTC Bounce To Be Short-Lived? While the former ATHs risk turning into resistance, Rekt Capital noted that Bitcoin is currently finding crucial support at the 50-month Moving Average (MA), around the $64,000-$65,000 area. Historically, the flagship crypto has initially reacted from this level in bear markets, but eventually loses it as support. The recent bounce from the 50-month MA is enabling BTC to test the 2021 and 2024 ATHs as resistance “for the time being.” However, once the breakdown occurs, the level usually becomes a new resistance before further downside continuation follows. Now, “Bitcoin is effectively sandwiched between two key reactive zones,” he affirmed, which could lead to short-term relief before the mid-term downside continues. Related Reading: Hyperliquid Traders Rise in Arms as Bitcoin Hits 7-Day Low And Oil Soars The analyst also observed that BTC appears to be only halfway through the bear market, leaving the door open for further downside. In an X post, he noted that BTC’s shortest bear market lasted around 365 days, while it is currently just over 150 days into the current one. Other analysts have suggested that the cryptocurrency could follow the 2022 cycle playbook. At the time, the price significantly retraced from the cycle peak, consolidated for months, and then had a final bull trap before its second major correction wave toward the market bottom. As of this writing, Bitcoin trades at $71,307, a 3% increase in the daily timeframe. Featured Image from Unsplash.com, Chart from TradingView.com

As the crypto markets rebounded on Wednesday, Bitcoin (BTC) bounced back from the recent selloff triggered by the escalating Middle East conflict, targeting a surge toward high levels. While some market observers see this as a sign of strength and potential bottoming, others warn that the rally could be short-lived. Related Reading: Bitcoin Leads Crypto Funds’ $1 Billion Rebound To End 5-Week Negative Streak Bitcoin Shows Strength Despite Growing Geopolitical Fears On Wednesday, Bitcoin surged 8.3% to trade above the $72,000 barrier for the first time in a month. The cryptocurrency has been trading between the $63,000-$73,000 price range since early February, but it has failed to break past the $70,000 mark throughout this period. Notably, the escalation of the US-Israel war with Iran has introduced significant volatility to risk assets, including cryptocurrencies. This resulted in sharp declines on Saturday, with BTC dropping to $63,000. However, the flagship crypto’s price quickly stabilized around the mid-zone of its local range, followed by a partial recovery above the $68,000 area at the start of the week. Now, Bitcoin has surged 15.87% from its recent lows, reaching a one-month high of $73,479 on Wednesday morning despite increasing geopolitical tensions. In a recent Bits + Bips podcast episode, Chris Perkins, Managing Partner and President of CoinFund, highlighted that BTC’s signs of strength and resilience, alongside signs of liquidity entering the market, are a “good setup” for a potential bottoming. It’s worth noting that US spot Bitcoin Exchange-Traded Funds (ETFs) have seen a remarkable performance over the past two days, with $683.34 million in inflows since Monday, suggesting increasing demand for the investment products. Alex Kuptsikevich, chief market analyst at FxPro, told Bloomberg, “This is a victory for cryptocurrencies, given the impressive selloff those financial markets and gold experienced the day before,” adding that “perhaps some traders are looking at crypto as a safe haven.” Too Early To Call BTC’s Bottom Despite the rebound, Kuptsikevich also warned that the situation remains “too fragile” to declare the market bottom. He explained that “Bitcoin is vulnerable due to the increased volatility of stock indexes, which is forcing institutional investors to reduce their leverage.” Meanwhile, market observer Ted Pillows suggested that BTC’s rally could be short-lived, drawing a comparison between the flagship crypto’s current performance and its early 2022 price action when the Russia-Ukraine war started. As the analyst noted, Bitcoin, which had already begun correcting from its 2021 all-time high, saw initial volatility when the conflict erupted, but pumped almost 40% in the following month before dumping another 67%. BTC targets a potential 45% correction toward the $40,000 area. Source: Ted Pillows on X This time, BTC is beginning to display a similar performance, which could lead to a 20%-25% rally toward the $78,000-$80,000 zone, according to the market watcher. However, this rebound could be followed by a strong rejection at this key horizontal area. Related Reading: Long-Term Bitcoin Holders Buy $14 Billion In BTC As Retail Headed For The Exit If history repeats, the next phase of the cryptocurrency’s downtrend could begin soon, Ted Pillows cautioned, potentially sending the price 45% below the rally’s potential peak prices. A cryptocurrency analyst has highlighted how Bitcoin has been trading inside a Triangle that could set up a 15% move for the asset. Bitcoin Is Potentially Consolidating Inside A Symmetrical Triangle In a new post on X, analyst Ali Martinez has talked about a technical analysis (TA) pattern that Bitcoin has been trading inside recently. The pattern in question is a “Triangle,” which is a type of consolidation channel that, as its name suggests, has a triangular shape. Related Reading: Bitcoin Bearish Momentum Losing Steam? Analyst Flags Key Metric The pattern is characterized by two converging trendlines. The lower of these is considered likely to be a point of support for the price, while the upper one that of resistance. A break out of either of these bounds can imply a continuation of trend in that direction. Triangles can be of a few different types based on the orientation of the trendlines with respect to each other and the graph axes. In an Ascending Triangle, the upper level is parallel to the time-axis. Similarly, the lower level being parallel creates a Descending Triangle. When both trendlines approach each other at a roughly equal and opposite slope, the pattern formed is known as a “Symmetrical Triangle.” The Triangle shared by Martinez that Bitcoin has been trading inside is the closest to this type. Below is a chart that shows the trajectory in cryptocurrency’s hourly price inside the pattern at the time of the post. As is visible in the graph, the 1-hour Bitcoin price found a bounce from the lower level of the triangular channel shortly before the post. Since then, however, BTC has seen some decline, which has taken it below the support line. This could be a potential indication that a breakout is occurring. In the post, Martinez had noted that the Triangle could set up a potential 15% move for the asset. This figure is based on the fact that Triangle breakouts are generally assumed to end up being of the same length as the height of the channel at the point where the trendlines are the furthest apart. This time, however, it would appear that the bearish direction might be the one in store for BTC. BTC Price Bitcoin has dropped to the $66,300 mark following its drop over the past day. As Bitcoin (BTC) breaks out of key resistance levels, an analyst suggests that the cryptocurrency is positioning itself for a move to higher levels and a retest of a crucial technical area in the coming weeks. Related Reading: Monero (XMR) Hits New $610 All-Time High – Veteran Trader Shares Silver-Like Setup Bitcoin Approaching Make-Or-Break Test On Tuesday, Bitcoin surged 2.5% to retest the $93,500 resistance level for the first time in a week. The cryptocurrency has been hovering between the $84,000 to $93,500 price range for three months and has failed to turn this level into support multiple times. Analyst Rekt Capital recently noted that the flagship crypto is near a “historic” test as it has begun to form “another technically decisive region” just above current price levels. The market watcher explained that BTC is approaching its dynamic Bull Market Exponential Moving Average (EMA) cluster, where the 50-week EMA and 21-week EMA are getting closer. This key cluster, currently located between the $96,000 and $97,500 levels, has historically been tested before a “meaningful crossover,” with the Bitcoin price overextending beyond the cluster. However, this has usually been followed by an unsuccessful confirmation of this region as support. “When that happens, the crossover itself often follows the bearish price event, rather than causing it, with the EMA cluster flipping into resistance from the underside and leading to downside continuation,” the analyst detailed. Notably, past cycles reveal that the 50-week and 21-week EMAs can move very close together, Rekt Capital wrote, emphasizing that they can even overlap for prolonged periods before a decisive crossover. Currently, Bitcoin has yet to retest and overextend beyond the two EMAs, but its historical performance suggests that it will likely occur. Moreover, BTC’s price is “positioning itself in a way that could allow for a springboard higher, potentially enabling a test of this cluster in the weeks ahead. The key question is timing.” BTC Price Breaks Out Of Key Resistances In his analysis, the market observer discussed BTC’s recent performance, which has seen a structural change despite the sideways price action. Last week, the cryptocurrency’s price closed above its multi-week downtrend, which has been serving as a major resistance point since late November. This marks “a small but notable technical milestone” as Bitcoin now holds above the November and December highs in the weekly timeframe, treating the previous resistance as support. In addition, the mid-zone of its local range, around the $90,500 level, is now “almost perfectly confluent with the former Downtrend, meaning the Downtrend that last week rejected price is beginning to act as layered support instead.” Therefore, if Bitcoin continues to hold the mid-range region, the price should be able to challenge higher levels and find a path toward $100,000. Rekt Capital added that, unlike previous retests, the most recent rejection from the crucial $93,500 resistance was significantly shallower and shorter, suggesting that it was getting weaker. Related Reading: Top Bullish Predictions That Put XRP Price At New All-Time Highs Above $3.8 Now, the flagship crypto has successfully retested the downtrend breakout area as support and momentarily reclaimed the $93,500 resistance, surging above the $94,000 area once again. Ultimately, BTC will need to hold this area and close the week above $93,500 to “kickstart a breakout from the Weekly Range as per previous green circles,” the analyst concluded. As of this writing, BTC trades at $94,334, a 2.6% increase in the weekly timeframe. Featured Image from Unsplash.com, Chart from TradingView.com

After retesting the range lows, Bitcoin (BTC) has closed the week above a key area, momentarily preventing a breakdown to lower levels. Some market watchers suggested that reclaiming the local range highs this week will set the stage for another leg up, but an analyst warned of potential volatility in the coming days. Related Reading: Worldcoin Jumps 42% Following Eightco’s Announcement Of First WLD Treasury Strategy Bitcoin Holds Crucial Weekly Support As the market moves sideways, Bitcoin has continued to trade within its local range between the $108,250-$111,140 levels since the start of the month. The cryptocurrency has shown mixed signals since the second half of August, failing to hold the crucial $109,000 level during the previous week. Analyst Rekt Capital asserted that BTC was showing “early signs of weakness,” and could see a bearish confirmation if it failed to hold this key level in the weekly timeframe. However, the flagship crypto surged to the range’s high over the past few days and closed the week at around $111,137, averting the potential breakdown in the short-term timeframe. “Bitcoin indeed didn’t fully confirm the breakdown; instead, price has reclaimed the $109k level as support and is now trying to rally higher in an effort to check if $114k has turned into new resistance after being lost as support a few weeks ago,” the analyst noted. According to Rekt Capital, BTC’s retest of this level as resistance will be down to an inverse Head and Shoulders pattern forming on the daily timeframe, which has the $113,000 area as the pattern’s neckline. A daily close above this level could set Bitcoin up for a potential post-breakout retest of this zone, fueling a rally toward the key weekly resistance level. Ali Martinez also affirmed that breaking pass $113,000 would set the cryptocurrency “on track for $116,000 and possibly $119,000.” The New Key Pivot Point For BTC Rekt Capital highlighted that a daily close above this level would “also confirm that the price is going to occupy the upper half of the Daily Bollinger Bands,” as the middle band sits around the $112,000 level. “Turning the mid-point (orange) of the BBands into support tends to set price up for a move to the very top of the Upper Band, which happens to be around the $116k level,” he explained, noting that the upper band coincides with the Monthly Range High resistance level. The market watcher detailed that BTC has been consolidating within the Macro Monthly Range at $107,200-$115,711, recently bouncing from the range lows. As a result, its price “is now ready to try and challenge the Range High over time.” Bitcoin must close the week above $114,000 to retest the macro range high and build a base for a potential third Price Discovery Uptrend. “It’s all about $114k going forward as a key pivot point for price,” he concluded. He underscored that the last 3 CPI data resulted in a 9%-11% price drop for BTC, with August seeing the largest dip in the past few months. A similar correction could drive Bitcoin’s price to the $100,000 barrier, not seen since June. As of this writing, BTC trades at $111,276, a 1% decline in the daily timeframe. Bitcoin (BTC) has seen a 4% bounce from the lows to retest a crucial resistance level, which could determine whether a breakout or a breakdown is next. Meanwhile, an analyst suggested that BTC’s final leg up and cycle peak could come in the coming weeks. Related Reading: No Ethereum Rally Until Q4? Analyst Eyes Choppy September Before New Highs Bitcoin Key Attempts Key Level Reclaim Following its recent drop, Bitcoin is now attempting to break out of its local range high and reclaim the $111,000 zone as support. As September started, the flagship crypto retested the $107,000 range low before bouncing 4% to the local upper boundary. Analyst Ali Martinez noted that BTC has been trading in a descending channel on the 4-hour chart for the past two weeks. The cryptocurrency retested the pattern’s upper boundary, around $110,700, breaking above this area on Tuesday morning. To the market watcher, Bitcoin needs to close above $110,700 for a meaningful rebound, as a confirmed breakout above this level could set the stage for a retest of $113,500. On the contrary, failing to reclaim this resistance will likely reinforce bearish momentum and deepen the correction, the analyst warned, adding that “the SuperTrend indicator also aligns with this zone, maintaining a bearish posture at $110,700.” Meanwhile, Sjuul from AltCryptoGems suggested that Bitcoin is attempting to replicate the same playbook of the recent significant pumps. According to the chart, the flagship crypto has entered a corrective period following a new all-time high (ATH), displaying a falling wedge pattern before breaking out again. Based on this, the $108,000 level is a key area for the bulls as it serves as a crucial bounce point. Holding this level would “confirm BTC’s strength on the higher timeframe, showcasing a formidable price action with resistance flipping and retesting.” To Sjuul, Bitcoin is at a “critical juncture to keep playing the same tune,” and failing to maintain it would increase the risks of a bigger correction to the $98,000 level, where the Weekly EMA50 sits. BTC To Peak In Coming Weeks? Rekt Capital gave a higher timeframe perspective for the flagship crypto, highlighting that BTC has shown mixed signals after failing to close the week above the $109,000 level. This level previously served as the final weekly resistance before new ATHs, which suggests it could be the first technical signal of a bearish confirmation. Nonetheless, he asserted that while the weekly timeframe is “showing early signs of weakness, the Monthly chart tells a different story.” Notably, Bitcoin has held its Macro Range of $107,200-$116,000. Additionally, monthly candles have produced long downside wicks throughout the cycle, with deep retests often occurring before trend continuation. This suggests that the broader market structure remains intact despite weekly pressure. As this week progresses, the cryptocurrency could see heightened volatility, tapping the $104,000 on a wick. He stated that “If the Weekly timeframe confirms rejection from $107k and progresses bearish confirmation, that could be the trigger for such a Monthly wick.” In this case, “then the goal for price would be to then resynchronize with the Monthly Range before the Monthly Close is in” to maintain the macro structure and set the stage for one last leg up. Related Reading: Ethereum Demand Spikes As Whales Add 260K ETH In 24 Hours The analyst also noted that the previous bull market lasted about 152 weeks, while this one is already 145 weeks into it. This could signal that there are only around seven weeks left if the current bull market were to repeat its previous performance. “If Bitcoin is going to peak in its Bull Market in mid-September/mid-October 2025 as per historical Halving cycles… That’s either two weeks away or 1.5 months away,” the analyst concluded. As Bitcoin (BTC) continues to trade within its local range, the cryptocurrency eyes a trend continuation, aiming to go on uncharted territory again. Despite the bullish setup, an analyst suggests that investors start to become more cautious as the weeks progress. Related Reading: Injective Targets $25 Amid Crucial Breakout Attempt – New Highs In Sight? Bitcoin Bull Flag To Determine Next Move Since the early July breakout, Bitcoin has been trading within a crucial price range, hitting its latest all-time high during this period. The flagship crypto has been hovering between $114,000-$120,000, retesting the local lows on Friday before recovering the range highs over the weekend. Amid this performance, market watcher Crypto Patel highlighted that BTC is trading inside a bull flag formation in the 4H chart, which could lead to an 8%-12% move once broken out. According to the analysis, if the cryptocurrency successfully breaks above the pattern’s descending resistance, near the $120,000 mark, its price could see a surge toward the $130,000 barrier for the first time. On the contrary, a rejection from this area could send Bitcoin toward the bull flag’s support, around $114,000, once more. The analyst warned that despite the key support’s strength, a breakdown below this level would invalidate the bullish pattern and risk a drop to the $100,000 level or below. In a Monday analysis, analyst Rekt Capital also discussed BTC’s bull flag in the weekly chart. He noted that Bitcoin closed last week above the bull flag top despite the Friday drop, “preparing and positioning itself for a confirmed breakout.” Therefore, the start-of-week pullback could be considered a volatile post-breakout retest if the cryptocurrency closes this week above $119,200. The analyst explained that “price has an entire week to do that; in fact, price could downside wick below the Bull Flag bottom to form a potential Diamond-Shaped candlestick formation in the downside wicks.” “It makes sense why price needs to dip,” he detailed, “it also makes sense for price to dip via the perspective of the newly formed Weekly CME Gap.” BTC’s Rally Running Out Of Time? As Daan Crypto Trades pointed out, BTC opened the week with a new CME Gap between $118,297 and $120,035, which was immediately closed on Monday, as the price retraced to the $117,000 mark. Notably, the flagship crypto has been closing its CME Gaps at the start of the week for the past five weeks, “building quite the streak at this point.” To the trader, “the longer this goes on, the more of a self-fulfilling prophecy it will become.” Rekt Capital also highlighted that Bitcoin has entered Week 4 of its second Price Discovery Uptrend, asserting that if BTC confirms a breakout from the weekly bullish flag, then “trend continuation in Price Discovery Uptrend 2 would be achieved.” Related Reading: Bitcoin’s Rally Might Be Running on Fumes, Analyst Warns of August Turning Point He warned that the second Uptrend could not last much longer. According to the analyst, the trend continuation could fail in the coming weeks, as the cryptocurrency transitions into the Weeks 5-7 of this phase. It’s worth noting that this cycle’s first Price Discovery uptrend lasted around 6-7 weeks before reaching the local top. As a result, he considers it “would be conservative thus to become increasingly cautious as time goes on,” starting to become “cautiously optimistic” from this week on. After reaching a record high of $123,200, Bitcoin is now consolidating around the $118,000 level. Market participants remain on alert as top analyst Darkfost reported a major development involving one of the oldest and most closely watched wallets in crypto history. According to the analyst, the remaining 40,000 BTC—valued at approximately $4.75 billion—still held by the 80K Satoshi-era whale have all moved. Related Reading: Bitcoin Retail Demand Rebounds – $0–$10K Transfer Volume Turns Positive The shift began last night, signaling renewed activity from the early Bitcoin holder. Until now, only half of the whale’s holdings had been moved, while the rest remained dormant. This latest transfer marks the full mobilization of the entire 80,000 BTC once controlled by the entity. While the motive behind the move remains unknown, the market is watching closely for signs of potential selling or redistribution. Bitcoin’s ability to hold above key support levels despite this high-stakes movement may reflect strong demand and investor confidence. However, with $4.75 billion now in motion, traders are bracing for possible volatility ahead. The market is waiting to see if this event will trigger broader implications—or if it’s simply a strategic reshuffling from one of the ecosystem’s earliest whales. Satoshi-Era BTC Consolidates Into Single Address Darkfost highlighted a major on-chain development that has captured the market’s attention: Each of the four wallets, previously holding 10,000 BTC from the 80K whale, sent their funds to a single destination address bc1qs4nzm0je7wqfyfmqr4ht4upyzy57vc95nf4au0. This address now holds the entire $4.75 billion stash, raising new questions about the intent behind the move. According to Darkfost, while the pattern differs from previous sell-off precedents, the market must remain alert. “I guess these BTC might also end up hitting the market soon,” he commented. This kind of movement—especially from dormant, high-value wallets—often signals large-scale positioning, which can precede either institutional sales or strategic long-term storage. The timing coincides with rising bullish momentum across the crypto market. With Bitcoin consolidating above $118,000 following its $123,200 all-time high, traders are eyeing a potential breakout. Adding fuel to this outlook, all three key crypto-related bills were passed by the US House this week, removing significant regulatory uncertainty and clearing a path for broader adoption. Now turned support, the $109,300 and $103,600 zones are critical demand levels, offering a firm foundation for continuation if bulls maintain control. The structure of the recent weekly candles reflects bullish dominance, characterized by strong bodies and relatively small upper wicks. Bitcoin has officially entered a new chapter in its bull market, surging to fresh all-time highs near $118,800 after weeks of tight consolidation. This decisive breakout marks a pivotal shift in momentum, with analysts pointing to a potential explosive leg higher as bullish sentiment returns. The move above previous highs has not only reignited interest in BTC but also fueled optimism across the broader crypto market. Related Reading: Ethereum Targets Liquidity Above $3,000 – Price Magnet Forming One of the most telling indicators of the current cycle’s strength is Bitcoin Dominance. According to top analyst On-Chain Mind, BTC dominance has climbed to 65% since the beginning of this bull market. This sharp increase highlights a clear preference among investors for Bitcoin over altcoins, solidifying its position as the market’s anchor in times of volatility and growth. As Bitcoin leads the charge, market watchers believe the breakout could trigger a wave of institutional inflows and renewed attention from sidelined retail investors. With momentum building and confidence growing, the breakout above $118K may just be the start of an even larger move, one that could define the next phase of the 2025 crypto bull cycle. Bitcoin Leads The Charge After weeks of sideways consolidation below the $110,000 mark, Bitcoin has finally broken out, launching a new bullish phase and pushing the broader crypto market into motion. Altcoins, which had lagged in recent months, are now climbing above key resistance levels as confidence spreads. This coordinated move comes amid a backdrop of macroeconomic shifts, with market participants increasingly anticipating a weakening US dollar and the return of inflationary policies under US President Donald Trump’s administration. With expectations of rate cuts looming and pressure mounting on the Federal Reserve, the market sees crypto—especially Bitcoin—as a natural hedge. However, caution still lingers. US Treasury yields remain elevated, continuing to flash warnings of systemic stress in the traditional financial system. That tension has only strengthened Bitcoin’s appeal as a non-sovereign, hard-capped monetary asset. Bitcoin dominance tells the story clearly. “At the start of this bull market, it sat at 40%. Today? 65%,” noted On-Chain Mind, emphasizing how investor preference has overwhelmingly leaned toward BTC. This dominance reflects a trend that has barely flinched, even as Ethereum and other altcoins attempt to catch up. As BTC leads the market higher, its dominance reinforces its role as the primary beneficiary of macro uncertainty. While the altcoin space is beginning to show signs of life, it’s clear that Bitcoin remains the anchor, and investors aren’t ready to rotate just yet. Bitcoin has officially broken through its previous all-time high of $112,000, surging to $118,000 just hours ago and entering uncharted territory for the first time since late May. The breakout confirms bullish momentum after weeks of consolidation and failed attempts, with price action now showing clear strength. With the psychological and technical barrier of $112K cleared, many analysts believe this move could mark the beginning of Bitcoin’s next expansive rally. Related Reading: Altcoins Jump Off Critical Support Level – Relief Or Reversal? Bulls are firmly in control, and on-chain metrics support this breakout narrative. According to fresh data from CryptoQuant, the MVRV (Market Value to Realized Value) Extreme Deviation Pricing Bands currently stand at 2.25. Historically, Bitcoin enters the overheated zone around 3.0 or higher, suggesting there is still room for growth before reaching excessive valuation territory. This metric, which measures the deviation between market price and realized value, helps identify when BTC is overbought or undervalued relative to past performance. At current levels, the data points to continued upside potential without major overheating concerns, fueling confidence that this breakout could extend further. Bitcoin Enters Expansion Phase As Market Eyes $130K After weeks of tight consolidation below the $110,000 mark, Bitcoin has finally broken out, signaling the start of a new market phase. The breakout above previous highs has reignited investor optimism, not only for BTC but also for the broader altcoin market, with many altcoins now pushing above key resistance levels for the first time in months. This move comes amid growing anticipation of a weakening US dollar and renewed inflationary pressures as Washington adopts looser fiscal policies. The market is increasingly pricing in the effects of tax cuts, high government spending, and dovish political rhetoric—all of which create a favorable environment for risk assets like Bitcoin. Still, the macro backdrop is not without risks. US Treasury yields remain elevated, flashing warnings of underlying systemic stress in credit markets. This tension underscores the fragility of the current rally and the importance of monitoring fundamental shifts. Top analyst Axel Adler shared insights using the MVRV oscillator, a model that compares Bitcoin’s market value to its realized value. According to Adler, historical data over the last four years suggests that when MVRV reaches 2.75, Bitcoin tends to face its first wave of meaningful selling pressure. If the same pattern holds true in this cycle, Bitcoin could reach approximately $130,900 before seeing notable profit-taking activity. While the current MVRV reading remains below that threshold, the model offers a clear signal of where long-term holders may begin offloading. Until then, the breakout sets the stage for a potential leg higher, with bulls now in control, pushing toward price discovery and a possible test of the $130K zone. This breakout is the first clear sign of a strong bullish continuation after weeks of sideways consolidation below key resistance. The chart highlights a textbook breakout structure. BTC respected the $103,600 and $109,300 support zones multiple times throughout May and June before finally gaining enough momentum to pierce through the upper resistance. The recent surge came with a noticeable spike in volume, adding confidence to the breakout’s sustainability. Moving averages also confirm the bullish trend. The 50, 100, and 200 SMA lines remain aligned upward with increasing separation, suggesting that market structure remains strong and trend continuation is likely. Bitcoin is now trading well above all major moving averages, reinforcing the strength of the rally. Bitcoin has set a new all-time high (ATH) above $112,000, and if on-chain data is to go by, there is some real conviction behind the move. Bitcoin Realized Cap Shows ATH Breakout Not Just Speculative In a new post on X, the on-chain analytics firm Glassnode has talked about the latest trend in the “Realized Cap” of Bitcoin. The Realized Cap is a capitalization model that calculates the asset’s total value by assuming that the ‘true’ value of each coin in circulation is equal to the price at which it was last transacted on the network. Related Reading: Bitcoin Moving With Stocks, But Ethereum’s Correlation Is Fading This is different from the methodology that the usual market cap employs, where all tokens part of the supply are assigned the same value: the current Bitcoin spot price. The last transaction of any token is likely to represent the last time that it changed hands on the network, so the price at that time could be considered as its current cost basis. Since the Realized Cap sums up this value for all coins, its value essentially represents a net cost basis for the entire supply. In other words, the model can be looked at as a measure of the amount of capital that the investors as a whole have put into the cryptocurrency. In contrast, the market cap is the value that the holders are carrying in the present. During the past day, the Bitcoin market cap saw a surge as the spot price set a new record. But what about the Realized Cap? “Unlike market cap, Realized Cap reflects actual capital inflows – only rising when coins move at higher prices,” notes the analytics firm. Here is the chart shared by Glassnode, showing whether or not real capital inflows occurred for Bitcoin with this rally: As displayed in the above graph, the Bitcoin Realized Cap has been following an upward trajectory for a while now, suggesting capital inflows have been coming into the asset. With the latest price surge, too, the metric has seen a leg up, corresponding to a whopping $4.4 billion flowing into the coin. “The $4.4B jump as $BTC broke a new ATH above $112K confirms real conviction behind the move, not just speculative markup,” explains the analytics firm. In some other news, the Bitcoin Market Value to Realized Value (MVRV) Ratio is currently sitting around the 2.25 mark, as CryptoQuant author Axel Adler Jr has pointed out in an X post. The MVRV Ratio measures the ratio between the Bitcoin market cap and Realized Cap. From the chart, it’s visible that BTC encountered resistance the last few times the metric hit a value around 2.75. After hitting a one-week low on Thursday, Bitcoin (BTC) is attempting to reclaim the key $104,000-$105,000 area as support, but some analysts have warned that a visit to its range’s lows could be in BTC’s short-term future if volatility continues. Related Reading: ONDO To Repeat 2024’s ‘Parabolic’ Run? Analyst Anticipates 130% Rally Soon Bitcoin to Continue Choppy Performance On Thursday afternoon, Bitcoin dropped 5.5% to the $102,000 support fueled by the news of the Iran-Israel conflict. Amid the market pullback, the flagship crypto failed to hold its $108,000-$110,000 three-day range, falling to the mid-zone of its post-November breakout range. Notably, BTC had just recovered from last week’s retest of the $100,000 level, reclaiming the key $106,800 area as support earlier this week. Daan Crypto Trades noted that the cryptocurrency “saw a clear trigger on that retest of the range high,” driven by the headlines of the Middle East turmoil, as it is “still quite a volatile and headline-driven market currently.” Bitcoin took the liquidity above and below its local price range, the analyst explained, adding that it is “already starting to trade more like the choppy (pre) summer environment” he had forecasted. Despite the drop, the analyst highlighted that the range high remains the key level for a larger move up: I think the range high is a key area for the Bulls to hold on to. If not, I think there’s a case to be made for a local high to be put in and for the market to move back further within this range. At this point, I’m fairly certain that if price breaks either the current monthly high or low, it will keep trending that direction for the rest of June (and possibly beyond). However, he suggested investors be cautious until BTC price breaks back above the range high convincingly and holds it as support on the higher timeframes.  “Don’t chop yourself up in the next few weeks/months,” he warned. Volatility Could Send BTC To Range Lows Analyst Carl Runefelt from The Moon Show highlighted a potential double top pattern forming on BTC’s 4H chart, noting that if the price didn’t bounce from the previous descending resistance, reclaimed a week ago, it could further drop into the mid-zone of its range. According to the analysis, if it loses the mid-range, BTC could risk a retest of the range lows, around the $90,000-$92,000 area. Similarly, market watcher Merlijn The Trader suggested that Bitcoin could fill the lower CME gaps if the war narrative intensifies. BTC opened two CME gaps between the end of April and the start of May, situated at the $92,500 and $97,300 levels, respectively. Nonetheless, the trader considers that this could serve as a discount entry for investors, as BTC “already left higher CME gaps open,” signaling that a rebound to the levels is likely. Moreover, he noted that Bitcoin is displaying the same structure as last year, which could hint at a massive rally brewing. In 2024, the cryptocurrency faced rejection from a multi-month descending resistance following its all-time high (ATH) rally, which set the Range high level. According to the post, after the liquidity grab, BTC broke out of the key downtrend line, was rejected from the range high, and retested the descending resistance as support before a new rally. As Bitcoin (BTC) attempts to turn the $110,000 resistance into support, some analysts believe its price discovery rally has just started, forecasting new highs for the flagship crypto. Related Reading: Avalanche Slides Off The Edge – What Comes After The 4H Trendline Snap? Bitcoin Starts Second Price Discovery Uptrend Last week, Bitcoin’s momentum propelled its price to its new all-time high (ATH) of $111,814 before retracing to its current range. Over the weekend, Bitcoin confirmed its breakout into its second Price Discovery Uptrend, following its successful retest of the $104,500 mark as support. The cryptocurrency has been in a significant market recovery for over a month, rallying nearly 50% from April lows. Analyst Rekt Capital noted that BTC ended its downside deviation period and positioned itself for a retest of its key re-accumulation range during early May’s surge, which was successfully reclaimed and surpassed. The analyst considers that its new Price Discovery Uptrend has “only just begun,” as Bitcoin starts Week 2 of this phase. Rekt Capital highlighted that this cycle has been “a story of Re-Accumulation Ranges,” which signals that a new range will likely form after this Price Discovery. Meanwhile, history suggests a second Price Discovery Correction is ahead as Bitcoin transitions into its new Price Discovery Uptrend. During its future correction, BTC will likely retrace between 25%-35% “to produce yet another Downside Deviation below the Re-Accumulation Range Low (future orange circle) before resuming upside into a likely Price Discovery Uptrend 3.” In the meantime, “All Bitcoin needs to do is hold above the Re-accumulation Range High of $104,500” to continue its price discovery rally. $110,000 Breakout Next? Notably, the flagship crypto has been retesting the range high as support over the past two weeks, confirming the breakout. As such, dipping into the previous $92,000-$104,500 range’s upper zone could happen as “part of normal volatility.” Moreover, it turned another key resistance, the $102,500 mark, into support during this period, which it had previously been rejected from in January 2025. With these levels as support, Rekt Capital considers that only the December 2024 and January 2025 upwicks, at $108,353 and $109,588, stand in the way of additional Price Discovery. Trader Daan Crypto Trades noted that Bitcoin is “still strong but fighting around its previous all-time high from earlier this year.” He pointed out that price action looks “very choppy” in the lower timeframes, but it shouldn’t be concerning for investors if the price remains within its current range. Related Reading: XRP ETF At 83% Approval Odds—Is The SEC Losing Grip? Analyst MacroCRG affirmed that Bitcoin must officially reclaim the $110,000 level to continue its rally, as it marks the previous ATH and the Value Area High (VAH) from last week. “Acceptance above and we likely squeeze straight into price discovery again,” CRG stated. Currently, Bitcoin is retesting its Weekly opening of $109,004 as support, which could set the stage for a breakout above the $110,000 mark if held. Meanwhile, rejection from this area could send BTC price to the $106,000-$108,000 area. As of this writing, Bitcoin trades at $109,181, a 1.4% increase in the daily timeframe. Bitcoin (BTC) has hit a new all-time high (ATH) after a 4% daily breakout above the $109,000 mark. As the flagship crypto nears the next barrier, some analysts suggest that this cycle’s top isn’t in yet. Related Reading: SUI Preparing For Another Leg Up – Is $5 The Next Target? Bitcoin Hits New All-Time High On Wednesday, Bitcoin hit a new ATH of $109,800 after breaking out of the $107,000 short-term resistance, eyeing the $110,000 barrier as its next target. The cryptocurrency has significantly recovered over the last seven weeks, surging around 47% from its five-month low of $74,000 toward its current levels. Amid its May rally, BTC couldn’t break the crucial $106,000 resistance, trading between the $102,000-$105,000 range for nearly two weeks. However, its consolidation ended over the weekend as Bitcoin Weekly Closed above this barrier for the first time in history. Since reclaiming this crucial level on Monday, Analyst Ali Martinez pointed out that the flagship crypto appeared to be forming an ascending triangle pattern in the lower timeframes, which suggested a rally toward the $115,000 level once the price broke above the $107,000 mark.   In the early hours of Wednesday, BTC’s bullish breakout saw it retest the $108,000 barrier, facing rejection toward the $106,000 support before bouncing and smashing this barrier and rallying toward its new ATH. Rekt Capital affirmed that the Second Price Discovery Uptrend is ahead for the cryptocurrency, as its First Price Discovery Correction is finally over. The analyst previously highlighted that Bitcoin would rally to a new ATH after Weekly Closing above its re-accumulation range and post-breakout retest. BTC Preparing For Another 20%-30% Jump? Analyst crypto Jelle suggested that BTC’s news target is around the $140,000 mark, pointing to a Power of Three (PO3) setup on Bitcoin’s chart. The pattern divides the price action into three phases: accumulation, manipulation, and distribution. In the first phase, a consolidation near the recent high occurs after a strong price performance. This is followed by a token’s price falling below the accumulation phase’s support level in the second phase, trading within a range below the recently lost zone. Lastly, the distribution phase consists of a strong price breakout, with momentum building and participants entering the market. Based on this setup, the flagship crypto started the accumulation phase during the Q4 2024 rally, entering the next phase during the March-April retraces. Amid its late April-May rally, Bitcoin has arrived at the setup’s final phase, with the analyst forecasting $140,000 as the next target after breaking above the $108,500 mark. He previously pointed out that “BTC is clearly repeating the summer 2021 price action and trading in a perfectly bullish structure on high time frame,” which could suggest that the cycle’s top isn’t in yet. After reclaiming the crucial $100,000, Bitcoin (BTC) is testing its recently recovered levels as support, with some analysts suggesting that the price will see a short-term sideways move before breaking out of its key resistance. Related Reading: Avalanche (AVAX) Eyes 30% Rally Amid Cup-And-Handle Pattern Breakout BTC’s Next Key Levels Over the past month, Bitcoin has seen a massive performance, recovering more than 23% from the $84,000 mark. The flagship crypto has reclaimed the $100,000 barrier, lost during the February pullback, and rallied to a three-month high of $105,819. Amid the market recovery, BTC has re-entered its post-US elections range, between the $92,000 and $106,000 levels, trading just 4.4% below its January all-time high (ATH). However, the massive rally seems to have slowed after nearing the range’s upper level, which could momentarily halt its next leg up. This week, Bitcoin has ranged between $101,500-$105,000, taking out most of the liquidation clusters within the weekly range lows. Daan Crypto Trades pointed out that now the cryptocurrency is “pretty far away from any large liquidity clusters.” He explained that BTC’s price hasn’t traded in the range’s high for a significant period, and few new positions were built around this area “after the initial squeeze of shorts.” As such, the main levels to look out for are the range’s highs above the $106,000 resistance, and the range’s low around the $93,000 support, where the recent breakout occurred. Bitcoin To Trade Sideways For Two Weeks? Analyst The Cryptonomist considers that BTC’s price action is “very simple from here,” as the flagship crypto moves within a one-month rising wedge pattern. If Bitcoin remains inside the formation, it could surge to the $110,000-$112,000 levels. However, if Bitcoin falls below the lower boundary, around $100,000, it could lose the key support and attempt to fill the CME Gap around the $92,000 before a new ATH rally. Meanwhile, market watcher Ted Pillows highlighted Bitcoin’s correlation with the Global M2 money supply. The analyst noted that the cryptocurrency’s price action has resembled the Global M2 supply chart for the past several months, including the recent pump above $100,000. Related Reading: Ethereum Prepares For $2,850 Rally, But Analysts Warn Of Potential Dip To These Levels Now the chart suggests a consolidation period, which could see Bitcoin move sideways for one to two weeks, if it continues to follow the Global M2 supply path. “Once that is over, BTC’s next leg up will start, which will push it above $120K,” he affirmed. Additionally, Ted pointed out BTC’s Wyckoff accumulation is in the final phase, with some consolidation happening above the $100,000 support, “which is a good sign.” Concluding that, with liquidity entering again, the next leg up “will soon start.” As of this writing, Bitcoin trades at $104,916, a 0.5% decline in the daily timeframe. After jumping by 10% over the past week, Bitcoin (BTC) has hit a crucial resistance level, which could push or momentarily halt the flagship crypto’s rally toward a new all-time high (ATH). Related Reading: Bitcoin Stays Resilient While Wall Street Stumbles – Details Bitcoin Hits Key Level Bitcoin recently jumped above the $100,000 barrier for the first time since February. During its significant weekly performance, BTC has surged over 10% to hit a three-month high of $105,500 on Monday, fueling investors’ sentiment regarding a new ATH rally. On Monday, Analyst Rekt Capital highlighted that the flagship crypto rallied across the entire re-accumulation range, concluding its downside deviation and the first price discovery correction. After surging to its range high of $104,500, Bitcoin has faced rejection from this key level, momentarily pausing its rally. He pointed out that Bitcoin already had its first Price Discovery Uptrend and Price Discovery Correction. The cryptocurrency is now attempting to confirm its second Price Discovery Uptrend, but needs to reclaim the $104,500 level as support to confirm this phase. As the analyst explained, this level is currently acting as resistance after it closed the week at $104,118, just below the range high. He added that “technically BTC can try to confirm an uptrend beyond this point by Daily Closing above $104.5k and then holding it as support, so it will be worth watching for this lower timeframe confirmation.” However, “until that confirmation is in, this resistance will continue to act as one. And as resistances do, they tend to reject price.” According to Rekt Capital, Bitcoin has repeated some key elements from its Post-halving range in its current range, suggesting that if BTC continues to reject from this level, it could face a post-breakout retest of its lower high resistance. One Dip Left Before ATHs? Previously, the analyst detailed that BTC could be repeating its Q4 2024 performance, where the cryptocurrency recovered from its downside deviation to hit a new ATH. BTC initially got rejected at its lower high resistance and fell to the range’s lows before breaking above the lower high, retesting it as support, and soaring to a new ATH. For history to repeat, BTC must get rejected at $99,000, hold $93,500 as support, and break the $97,000-$99,000 range before being rejected at the $104,500 resistance, which is the level “to turn into support for Bitcoin to breakout into its second Price Discovery Uptrend.” Notably, BTC followed this path closely over the past week, getting rejected near $99,000 and retesting the $93,500 support before jumping above the $100,000 mark. To continue this performance, the cryptocurrency must fall to the $97,000-$99,000 range and hold it as support for a similar breakout to new ATHs. Related Reading: Ethereum Price Completes Bullish Structure Break – $3,000 Comes Next In his Monday analysis, Rekt Capital shared that BTC’s lower high resistance is at the $98,500 level, signaling that a 5% drop could be ahead. However, he noted that the retest “doesn’t need to happen at all,” as Bitcoin could Daily Close above the key resistance, hold this level, and rally to new ATHs. “But in the event of a dip, turning the Lower High resistance into a new support could fully confirm the break of this Lower High, turn it into new support, and in doing so, solidify BTC’s positioning in the $98.5k-$104.5k portion of the ReAccumulation Range,” he concluded. As Bitcoin (BTC) attempts to break out from its weekly range, its price eyes the crucial $99,000-$100,000 resistance barrier, fueling bullish sentiment among investors. Multiple analysts forecast that the flagship’s crypto next all-time high (ATH) rally is around the corner, with some suggesting that the initial jump could come in the coming days. Related Reading: Ethereum ‘Running Out Of Time’? Analyst Says New ATH May Not Come This Cycle Bitcoin To $100,000 This Weekend? Over the past two weeks, Bitcoin has recovered from its sub-$80,000 correction, breaking above the $90,000 mark and reclaiming the $93,5000 resistance to re-enter its post-US elections price range. Amid its recovery, the cryptocurrency consolidated between the $93,000-$96,000 range, moving sideways for the last weeks. The start-of-month pump has seen BTC break out of this range after being compressed during this period, resembling its performance from two weeks ago. Analyst Daan Crypto Trades explained that BTC surged to the $83,000-$86,000 region during the mid-April recovery, consolidating for over a week before a small 2% breakout toward the $87,500 resistance. This was followed by a two-day “tight chop” and a breakout to a new higher range. He suggested that Bitcoin displays “a similar setup as the week before” as it has ranged and compressed within the $93,000-$96,000 zone and jumped around 2% to the $97,700 mark. Additionally, the largest crypto by market capitalization’s “tight chop” phase could have started as its price has hovered between $97,050 and $97,700 for the past few hours. If BTC replicates its recent performance, the flagship crypto could rally around 8% toward a new range at the end of the weekend and retest $99,000-$100,000 in the coming days. BTC Resembles Q4 2024 Price Action Meanwhile, analyst Rekt Capital suggested that Bitcoin could repeat its Q4 2024 performance. He highlighted that BTC has recovered from its downside deviation to reclaim its recent re-accumulation range, but it’s facing a lower high resistance within this zone. Notably, the cryptocurrency experienced the same situation in the post-halving re-accumulation range, initially rejected from the lower high to fall to the range’s lows. Weeks later, Bitcoin broke above the lower high resistance, restesting it as support before breaking out and soaring to a new ATH. The analyst noted that the idea was first explored before the US election pump, suggesting that BTC could mimic its Q1 2024 rally, fueled by the US spot Bitcoin Exchange-Traded Funds (ETFs). “It would be poetry if Bitcoin repeated history and followed through on the same path in this current Range as well,” he stated. However, Rekt Capital detailed that for history to repeat, Bitcoin must get rejected at $99,000, hold the $93,500 mark as support, and break the $97,000-$99,000 range before being rejected at the $104,500 resistance. Related Reading: Crypto Graveyard: 50% Of Tokens Have Failed In the Past 5 years – Report Then the flagship crypto would need to hold the $97,000-$99,000 range as support for a similar breakout to new ATHs. Nonetheless, BTC must break its “black Lower High resistance within this Range, which is positioned at ~$99k this week.” As of this writing, Bitcoin trades at $97,461, a 3% increase in the weekly timeframe. As Bitcoin (BTC) recovers from its five-month low, the cryptocurrency attempts to reclaim the $84,000 resistance. Some market watchers suggest that more volatility could be around the counter, as the price is compressing between two key levels. Related Reading: Ethereum ‘Set For Potential Rally’ After 10% Surge – Can ETH Recover $1,800? Bitcoin Retests 4-Month Downtrend Line Over the past week, Bitcoin has been trading between the $74,000-$84,000 price range following the recent tariff war-related volatility. After hitting a one-week high of $84,720, the flagship crypto hit a five-month low of $74,773, driven by this week’s market correction. Amid this performance, the cryptocurrency risked a 13.7% drop to the $69,000 support, as it generally needs a daily close above the $78,500 level for a potential short-term rebound. However, BTC’s price has surged 13.5% since Monday’s lows and attempted to reclaim the $84,000 resistance. The market recovery was fueled by US President Donald Trump’s 90-day pause on the trade tariffs for over 75 nations, which saw the crypto market and stock prices jump 6%-10% in an hour this Wednesday. Nonetheless, the tariffs-driven rally slowed Thursday, with Bitcoin retracing nearly 5% to the $79,000 support. Analyst Alex Clay asserted that despite the bullish rally, BTC’s price needed to reclaim the broken $80,000 support and break through the descending 4-month resistance as its short-term structure continued looking bearish. During BTC’s 7% surge in the past 24 hours, the analyst highlighted the key support zone held, invalidating his bearish scenario. However, a breakout and reclaim confirmation of the $84,000 remained crucial for BTC’s price. BTC Preparing For More Volatility? Analyst Rekt Capital pointed out that Bitcoin successfully retested the $78,500 support, but its price was rejected from the 4-month downtrend resistance. Therefore, the flagship crypto’s price is now compressing between these two levels, which usually “precedes volatility.” The analyst also noted that BTC is “developing yet another Higher Low on the RSI while forming Lower Lows on the price.” During this cycle, the cryptocurrency has formed multiple bullish RSI divergences in the daily chart, each preceding a reversal to the levels. Bitcoin’s Daily RSI equaled 2022 Bear Market RSI levels (RSI=23.93) when price crashed into the high $70,000s. The only lower Daily RSI in this cycle was back in August 2023 (RSI=18.28). Throughout this cycle, each visit into sub-25 RSI resulted in a trend reversal to the upside over time. Related Reading: Solana (SOL) Needs 15% Bounce After Multi-Year Support Retest, Recovery Ahead? Meanwhile, crypto analyst Ali Martinez suggested that BTC could see a retrace back to the $74,000 support zone. He observed that Bitcoin’s movements within its weekly range display a W-shape to the upper boundary, and its price action seemed to be forming an M-shape after Thursday’s retrace and Friday’s jump, which eyes the range’s lower boundary. On the contrary, the analyst also highlighted Bitcoin’s Friday performance, affirming that it “is slicing through key resistance at $82,360.” Notably, BTC’s price then jumped toward the $84,000 barrier, hitting a daily high of $84,220 before retracing to the $83,500 mark. According to Martinez, “A sustained breakout could open the door to $91,500.” As of this writing, Bitcoin trades at $83,640, a 1% decline in the weekly timeframe. #bitcoin #btc #bitcoin news #btcusdt #bitcoin top #bitcoin breakout #bitcoin mayer multiple

An analyst has explained how a break beyond the 200-day moving average (MA) might put Bitcoin on the path to a top around the upper band of this indicator. Bitcoin Mayer Multiple Currently Has Its Upper Band Located At $208,550 In a new post on X, analyst Ali Martinez has discussed the Mayer Multiple of Bitcoin. The “Mayer Multiple” here refers to an indicator that keeps track of the ratio between the BTC price and its 200-day MA. One way to interpret the metric is as a measure of the distance away that the asset’s value is from the 200-day MA. Historically, the 200-day MA has served as a boundary between bullish and bearish trends for the cryptocurrency, so how far its price is from this important line can help indicate potential oversold and overbought conditions. Related Reading: 62.8% Of XRP Realized Cap Held By New Investors: Sign Of Fragility? More specifically, a Mayer Multiple value of 2.4 or more has generally signaled that the asset is becoming overheated. Similarly, a value of 0.8 or under can suggest the coin may be due to a bounce back towards the 200-day MA. Now, here is the chart shared by the analyst that shows the trend in the 200-day MA of Bitcoin, as well as lines corresponding to the 2.4 and 0.8 Mayer Multiple levels, over the past decade: As is visible in the chart, Bitcoin has recently declined under the 200-day MA, situated at $86,900. This means that the Mayer Multiple has now dropped under the 1.0 mark. The next potential support for the cryptocurrency could be located at $69,500, corresponding to the level where the Mayer Multiple would assume a value equal to 0.8. BTC has witnessed a surge in the past day, so it’s currently closer to retesting the 200-day MA than falling back on this support. In the scenario that the asset goes on to retest this mark and successfully break above it, Martinez has noted that the stage might be set for a market top around $208,550. This level, of course, correlates to the 2.4 Mayer Multiple level. So far in the current cycle, Bitcoin hasn’t made a single touch of this level. From the chart, it’s visible that the bull run in the second half of 2021 attained its peak far below the line, but the cryptocurrency still spent time around it during the first half of the year. Related Reading: Stablecoin Activity Shoots Up: Investors Looking To Buy Bitcoin? Crypto and stock prices have surged in the past hour after US President Donald Trump announced a 90-day pause for tariffs on multiple nations, except China. This move follows China’s recently announced reciprocal 84% tariff rate on US goods, starting April 10. “Based on the lack of respect that China has shown to the World’s Markets, I am hereby raising the Tariff charged to China by the United States of America to 125%, effective immediately. At some point, hopefully in the near future, China will realize that the days of ripping off the U.S.A., and other Countries, is no longer sustainable or acceptable,” Trump explained. In the Wednesday post, the US President also revealed he had authorized a “90 days PAUSE” for other countries, as 75 nations reached out to multiple US Representatives, including the Departments of Commerce, Treasury, and the US Trade Representative, to “negotiate a solution to the subjects being discussed relative to Trade, Trade Barriers, Tariffs, Currency Manipulation, and Non-Monetary Tariffs.” Additionally, he authorized an immediate substantially lowered Reciprocal Tariff of 10% during the 90-day pause. In a second post, the President stated, “This is a great time to buy.” Following the news, stock prices surged, with the S&P 500 (SPX) surging around 6% since the announcement. Meanwhile, the crypto market saw its total market capitalization jump around 5%, with assets like Bitcoin, Ethereum (ETH), XRP, and Solana (SOL) increasing 6%-12% in an hour. Bitcoin Price Surges To $82,000 The flagship crypto climbed from the $76,000-$77,000 range to the $82,000, momentarily reclaiming this level for the first time since Sunday. Its 6% surge has sparked optimism among investors, who saw Bitcoin fall to a five-month low over the weekend. BTC dropped nearly 10% between Sunday and Monday, fueled by the ongoing tariff war. Related Reading: Is The Bitcoin Price Manipulated? Amid the news of the US Securities and Exchange Commission’s withdrawal of its crypto case against Coinbase, the largest crypto by market capitalization traded above the $99,000 mark for the first time in two weeks. However, the positive sentiment quickly vanished after Bybit, one of the largest crypto exchanges in the world, suffered a $1.5 billion hack that took around 401,347 ETH. As a result, most cryptocurrencies, including Bitcoin, lost their momentary gains. Since then, the flagship crypto has hovered between the $95,000 and $96,000 zone, briefly nearing the $97,000 resistance on Saturday. On Monday, the correction continued, with BTC dropping below $95,000 and hitting its one-week low at $93,800. As noted by analyst Jelle, Bitcoin continues to dump on New York markets opening. Per the post, BTC has been retracing from its early Monday recoveries every week after the US market opens, driving its price to a red Monday close several times in the past few months. Despite these retraces and the recent market corrections, Bitcoin has remained within its post-election range since November, showing minimal volatility. BTC has hovered between the $96,000-$102,000 mid-zone of the range for most of this period. Amid its recent performance, Altcoin Sherpa pointed out that, excluding February 18, Bitcoin has not closed below its daily support zone in over a month, signaling that BTC needs to close above $95,700 to continue holding this crucial level. BTC Retests Bullish Flag Breakout Meanwhile, Rekt Capital highlighted that BTC needs a monthly close above $96,000 to continue its bullish long-term trend. In January, the largest crypto registered a historic candle after closing the month above the $100,000 mark for the first time. This close confirmed Bitcoin’s breakout from its post-election monthly bull flag. However, the recent price action has seen BTC retest its breakout level again, momentarily losing it. The analyst asserted that the cryptocurrency needs to reclaim and close February above $96,700 “to confirm the breakout & set itself up for trend continuation over time.” He added that BTC has traded around this key level throughout the majority of February, and continuing to hold it would indicate a “successful post-breakout retest.” Related Reading: Dogecoin Activity Levels Crash To 4-Month Lows, Does This Spell Doom For The Meme Coin? Bitcoin Short-Term Holder SOPR Is Retesting 1.0 Right Now In a new post on X, the on-chain analytics firm Glassnode has discussed about the latest trend in the BTC Spent Output Profit Ratio (SOPR) of the short-term holders. Related Reading: $200 Million In Crypto Longs Wiped Out As Altcoins Crash To Start Week The “SOPR” here refers to an on-chain indicator that tells us about whether the Bitcoin investors as a whole are selling or transferring their coins at a profit or loss. When the value of this metric is greater than 1, it means the average holder of the asset is selling at a net profit. On the other hand, it being under this threshold suggests the overall market is realizing a net loss. Naturally, the SOPR being exactly equal to the 1 level implies the profits being realized by the investors are canceling out the losses, so the average holder can be assumed to be just breaking-even on their transactions. In the context of the current topic, the SOPR of only a specific investor group is of interest: the short-term holders (STHs). The STHs include the Bitcoin investors who purchased their tokens within the past 155 days. Now, here is the chart shared by the analytics firm that shows the trend in the 7-day moving average (MA) of the Bitcoin STH SOPR over the last few months: As is visible in the above graph, the Bitcoin STH SOPR fell under the 1 mark earlier in the year, implying the STHs took to loss-taking as the price of the cryptocurrency moved in a bearish trajectory. Recently, though, the metric has been making recovery and it’s now back at the break-even level. “Historically, breaking above 1.0 confirms a shift in momentum, while failure to do so often leads to renewed sell pressure,” explains Glassnode. Breaking above the level, however, is no simple task, for it serves as a major psychological level for the STHs. These investors are by definition the entities who are either new to the market or just not resolute enough to hold for long periods, so they can be prone to panic selloffs. When the STH SOPR rises to the 1 mark, it means these investors, who were forced into loss selling earlier, are able to break-even again. Selling pressure can spike when this happens, as STHs rush to get their money ‘back.’ Related Reading: Is It Time To Buy XRP? TD Sequential Says Yes The last time that Bitcoin saw the indicator make a retest of this level was back in January. From the chart, it’s apparent that it successfully found a breakout then, although it was only short-lived. It now remains to be seen whether the metric can surge into the profit zone this time as well or not. A week after its last attempt to reclaim the $100,000 barrier, Bitcoin (BTC) continues moving within its local range. Following its recent performance, some analysts consider that BTC could be near a breakout and a massive rally toward a new high. Amid the market volatility, Bitcoin has found price stability, staying within the mid-zone of its post-election breakout level. During the recent 12% correction, BTC saw its price retest the range lows as support, bouncing toward the $100,000 barrier. However, it failed to regain this zone as support and continued its sideways move within this range. Over the last week, the flagship crypto has hovered between $94,000 and $98,000, incapable of holding the $99,000 mark since late January. Crypto trader EliZ noted that Bitcoin has been within this “mini range” for nearly two weeks, suggesting that the cryptocurrency is poised for “a big move” out of this consolidation zone. He cautioned investors that the direction the flagship crypto could take “is almost impossible to predict.” It is worth noting that market sentiment has recently divided, as Bitcoin’s price action doesn’t seem to reflect bullish news. A Nansem analyst suggested that the market appears momentarily satiated and more “reactive to negative sentiment than positive news.” Ali Martinez said Bitcoin looks “primed for a breakout,” highlighting an almost two-week symmetrical triangle in BTC’s chart. After the recent price performance, the cryptocurrency tested the pattern’s upper trendline, suggesting another retest could be near. Nonetheless, the analyst stated that a confirmation of the breakout will be key before the next BTC move. BTC Price Eyes $150,000 Cycle Top Crypto Jelle also considers that Bitcoin is preparing to start its next leg up. BTC’s “explosive moves generally kick off after the first price-discovery consolidation is completed,” which, according to other analysts, it has. Rekt Capital has stated that Bitcoin is about to embark on its second price discovery uptrend, as BTC has completed the first price-discovery correction of its post-halving parabolic phase. According to Jelle’s X post, Bitcoin gained 577% in 133 days in 2017, while it recorded a 70% increase in 56 days in 2021. Moreover, he pointed out another signal that could shed some light on BTC’s top this cycle. The analyst affirmed, “Bitcoin crossing above its 2-year MA multiplier has historically been a great top signal.” Bitcoin topped after crossing above the 5X multiplier in the first two cycles. Meanwhile, it didn’t hit last cycle’s top until “tagging the 5x multiplier – well above the 4x multiplier,” suggesting that a diminishing trend could be forming. However, Jelle affirms that even if BTC’s price only hits the 3x multiplier this cycle, the price is still poised for a significant rise. According to the chart, the potential multiplier for the cycle targets the $152,000 mark. As of this writing, Bitcoin trades at $98,243, a 1.7% increase on the daily timeframe.
