The performances of Dogecoin and Shiba Inu this cycle have been disappointing for investors, who have waited years for the possibility of new all-time highs. Nevertheless, these two remain the largest meme coins by market cap and are often the first stop for investors looking to get into the meme market. Using predictions from the CoinCodex machine learning algorithm, this report will focus on the two leading meme coins and which one could bring the most returns in 2026. Dogecoin Could End Up A Better Investment Than Shiba Inu Since the year 2026 began, both Dogecoin and Shiba Inu have struggled as their prices failed to see any notable recovery. But even this has not deterred expectations that the meme coins will recover. According to the CoinCodex website, both Dogecoin and Shiba Inu will see gains in the double-digits this year, but one will outperform the other. Related Reading: Here’s What’s Driving The Bitcoin Price Crash Toward $60,0000 Looking at the prediction for Shiba Inu, it shows that the highest point that the meme coin might reach this year lies at $0.000009277. Despite this being a 56.90% increase from the current levels, it is still more than 80% below its all-time high price of $0.00008. With this being the highest the meme coin is expected to go, investing in Shiba Inu could only end up bringing a 50% return on investment at best when buying at these levels. While this is a reasonable return, it pales in comparison to where the algorithm predicts Dogecoin could be in the same time period. Just like Shiba Inu, the Dogecoin recovery is expected to start out slow. However, the algorithm predicts that the rally will pick up toward the end of the year. In contrast to Shiba Inu’s highest returns being only 56.90%, the algorithm predicts that the Dogecoin price would rise by 124.71% in the third quarter of the year. Related Reading: Expert Crypto Trader Predicts The Exact Year Bitcoin Will Reach $250,000 This means that investing in Dogecoin could end up doubling investments when buying at current levels. Not only this, the algorithm predicts that the rest of the year will be green for not only Dogecoin, but for Shiba Inu as well, suggesting that 2026 could be the year of recovery for the crypto assets. However, for now, both Dogecoin and Shiba Inu continue to struggle with no sign of a recovery. This is largely due to the poor performance of Bitcoin, which seems set to crash below $60,000, plunging the crypto market into another bear cycle. A cryptocurrency analyst has pointed out how Shiba Inu is retesting a technical support level that could set the tone for what’s to come. Shiba Inu Is Retesting The Support Level Of A Parallel Channel In a new post on X, analyst Ali Martinez has discussed a support level for Shiba Inu. The level in question is the lower boundary of a Parallel Channel, a technical analysis (TA) pattern that forms whenever an asset trades between two parallel trendlines. Like other consolidation patterns in TA, the upper line of a Parallel Channel is considered to be a source of resistance, while the lower one is that of support. Either of these levels not holding up can signal a continuation of the trend in that direction. Related Reading: Bitcoin Net Taker Volume Sees Third-Largest Bearish Spike In 2 Years Parallel Channels can be of a few different types depending upon how the channel is oriented with respect to the graph axes. When the trendlines are sloped upward, the resulting pattern is called an Ascending Channel. Similarly, their pointing down forms a Descending Channel. In the context of the current topic, the third and most basic type is the one of interest: a channel that’s parallel to the time-axis. This pattern corresponds to a phase of complete sideways action in the asset. Now, here is the chart shared by Martinez that shows the Parallel Channel that the weekly price of Shiba Inu has been trading inside for the last few years: As is visible in the above graph, the 7-day Shiba Inu price has fallen to the support line of the Parallel Channel after the latest bearish price action. This level, located at $0.0000066721, was last tested by the memecoin in 2023. Back then, the line held and helped the cryptocurrency turn itself around. “For Shiba Inu $SHIB, everything depends on its ability to hold above the $0.0000066721 support level,” explained the analyst. It now remains to be seen how the asset’s price will develop in the coming days, given this potentially important retest. Related Reading: XRP Market Structure “Very Similar” To April 2022, Glassnode Says In the scenario that a breakdown happens, the levels highlighted by Martinez in the chart could become the next relevant ones: $0.0000029954 and $0.0000013522. The former is located below the Parallel Channel at a distance equal to half its width, while the latter is at the full width mark. SHIB Price Shiba Inu has slid down alongside the rest of the cryptocurrency market over the past week, but its losses have been more contained than some other major names. Even so, a weekly return of -9.9% shows that the bearish momentum hasn’t spared the memecoin. Featured image from Dall-E, chart from TradingView.com

The Shiba Inu price crashed to as low as $0.000007683 yesterday, sparking bearish sentiment towards the meme coin. This crash came on the back of a transfer of billions of SHIB tokens, which raised concerns of a potential sell-off by the whale in question.  Why The Shiba Inu Price Crashed The Shiba Inu price crashed amid significant selling pressure, with a SHIB whale sending billions of tokens to Robinhood, likely to offload these tokens. Arkham data shows that the whale (0x2d0…9f7bB) first sent 210.365 billion SHIB tokens, worth $1.63 million, to the crypto exchange. These tokens represented about 97% of the whale’s SHIB holdings. Related Reading: Shiba Inu Sell-Offs Incoming: 82 Trillion Deposits Threaten To Crash SHIB Price Further data from Arkham shows that the SHIB whale sent an additional 1.52 billion tokens to Robinhood and 7 billion tokens to liquidity provider B2C2 Group, which could be an OTC sale. The Shiba Inu price has notably crashed by over 7% in the last week, and it suffered its worst drop during this period yesterday amid the whale’s transfers. The whale now holds only 5.86 billion SHIB, worth $46,790. The Shiba Inu price also crashed due to the sell-off in the broader crypto market, led by Bitcoin. BC dropped to as low as $87,000 yesterday amid concerns over trade tensions between the U.S. and Europe stemming from the Greenland-linked Trump tariffs. However, the market recovered towards the end of the day as Trump announced that he had canceled the proposed tariffs, having reached a Greenland deal with NATO.   Despite the recent Shiba Inu price crash, the meme coin is still up over 15% year-to-date (YTD) and ranks among the best-performing crypto assets this year. However, SHIb is still far off from its current all-time high (ATH) of $0.00008845.  Exchange Netflows For SHIB Remains Mixed SHIB’s exchange netflows have remained mixed, indicating there is no clear accumulation pattern for the meme coin at the moment. CryptoQuant data shows that today’s net flows are negative, totaling just over 7 billion Shiba Inu tokens, suggesting that more coins are flowing into exchanges than out.  However, the total exchanges’ netflows yesterday were positive, at 1.6 billion tokens, indicating more tokens leaving exchanges, which is bullish for the Shiba Inu price as it hints at accumulation from whales. On January 16, SHIB’s netflows were also positive, totaling around 115 billion tokens. However, the positive netflows on that day were overshadowed by the negative flows of 214 billion SHIB recorded on January 20.    Related Reading: Here’s Why The Shiba Inu Price Jumped Over 13% Crypto traders still remain bullish on the Shiba Inu price as CoinGlass data shows the long/short ratio is currently above 1. Derivatives trading volume has also jumped by over 20% while the open interest is up almost 3%.  At the time of writing, the Shiba Inu price is trading at around $0.000007978, up in the last 24 hours, according to data from CoinMarketCap. Shiba Inu’s on-chain data shows an interesting dynamic among SHIB holders and their relationship with crypto exchanges. Recent metrics from CryptoQuant show sustained withdrawals from exchanges alongside a noticeable increase in burn activity in the past few days, all of which are signs of tighter supply conditions.  This dwindling exchange supply reflects hundreds of billions of SHIB tokens removed from exchanges in recent days in a trend that dates back up to a year. Massive Decline In SHIB Held On Exchanges According to data from on-chain analytics platform CryptoQuant, SHIB exchange reserves have declined noticeably as whale wallets withdraw large amounts of tokens from trading platforms. On January 16, the total Shiba Inu exchange reserves stood at approximately 82.6 trillion SHIB. As of January 20, that figure has fallen to about 82.23 trillion SHIB. This change means that roughly 370 billion SHIB has been removed from exchanges in just a few days. Such movements are typically attributed to whale activity, as transfers of this size are rarely caused by retail traders. When whales move SHIB off exchanges, the tokens are often sent to cold storage or long-term holding wallets, reducing the amount of supply immediately available for selling. SHIB Exchange Reserve. Source: CryptoQuant This short-term outflow also fits into a much larger trend of outflows from crypto exchanges since January 2025. CryptoQuant data shows that SHIB exchange reserves were close to 140 trillion tokens in early January 2025. Since then, however, SHIB whales have steadily reduced exchange balances, and this has pushed the reserves down to current levels around 82.2 trillion SHIB. The consistency of this decline suggests deliberate accumulation or long-term positioning by large holders. SHIB Exchange Reserve. Source: CryptoQuant Whale Activity Correlates With Increased SHIB Burn Rates Burn activity across the Shiba Inu network has intensified alongside whales withdrawing SHIB from exchanges. According to recent on-chain data, the SHIB burn rate has witnessed a jump of more than 1,200% in the past 24-hour period, with almost 29 million SHIB permanently removed from circulation.  Although burns are not exclusively initiated by whales, large holders often play a role by sending large tokens to burn addresses or interacting with ecosystem mechanisms like Shibarium that lead to burns. Data from the burn tracker website Shibburn shows that the bulk of these burns were made with one single transfer of 28 million SHIB tokens sent to burn address CA. SHIB Burn Rate. Source: Shibburn.com According to CryptoQuant data, over 51.2 billion SHIB tokens have been withdrawn from crypto exchanges in the past 24 hours alone. So far, Shiba Inu’s price action has not made a decisive move in response to these changes. At the time of writing, Shiba Inu is trading at $0.00000794, up by 1% in the past 24 hours but down by 7.6% in a seven-day timeframe. SHIB Exchange Netflow. On-chain data show a significant amount of Shiba Inu still held on exchanges, putting the SHIB price at risk of a decline due to sell-offs. This comes amid a positive increase in net flows, indicating that more coins are flowing into exchanges, likely to offload them.  SHIB Price At Risk With 82 Trillion Shiba Inu On Exchanges CryptoQuant data shows that the Shiba Inu exchange reserve is at 82 trillion coins. This indicates higher selling pressure, especially as the value has risen from around 81 trillion at the start of the year. Amid this development, the SHIB price has trimmed some of its year-to-date gains, with the meme coin dropping from a high above $0.000009 just as the exchange reserve rose.  Related Reading: Here’s Why The Shiba Inu Price Jumped Over 13% Another bearish indicator for Shiba Inu at the moment is the exchange netflow. Further data from CryptoQuant show that the exchange netflow has turned positive, indicating that more coins are being deposited into exchanges than removed. As such, the meme coin is likely currently facing more selling pressure than buying pressure, putting the SHIB price at risk of a decline.  Notably, the Shiba Inu exchange netflow turned positive just as the SHIB price reached its yearly high above $$0.000009. The recent bearish sentiment in the broader crypto market has likely contributed to these sell-offs for SHIB, with the Bitcoin price dropping back to $90,000 after rising above $94,000 at the start of the year.  Activity in the Shiba Inu derivatives market also paints a bearish picture for the SHIB price. CoinGlass data shows that trading volume has dropped by just over 5%, to $203 million. SHIB’s open interest is also down over 7%, dropping to $108 million. However, a positive is that most traders are still bullish on the meme coin, with the long/short ratio above 1.  An Increase In SHIB Whale Transactions A positive for the SHIB price is that whales still appear to be bullish on the meme coin. On-chain analytics platform Santiment recently pointed out a 111% spike in Shiba Inu’s whale transactions. Thanks to this development, SHIB ranks among the tokens with a market cap of at least $500 that have seen an increase in whale transactions above $100,000.  Related Reading: Shiba Inu End Of Year Predictions Remain Bearish, High Volatility Expected Meanwhile, CryptoQuant data show that the number of daily Shiba Inu active addresses has climbed since the start of the year and has remained above the 3,000 threshold. This is a positive as it indicates that attention is now returning to the SHIB ecosystem, which could positively impact the SHIB price once the crypto market rebounds again.  At the time of writing, the Shiba Inu price is trading at around $0.000008752, down in the last 24 hours, according to data from CoinMarketCap. The Shiba Inu price has recorded an unexpected gain of more than 13% recently, decisively breaking away from the extended bear trend that had suppressed its momentum. Notably, 2026 is already shaping up to be a transformative year for the crypto market, with meme coins like Shiba Inu benefiting from the broader bullish shift and growing demand. With the Shiba Inu price now testing higher valuation zones, on-chain data has revealed the underlying forces behind its recent price surge    Key Drivers Behind The Shiba Inu Price Rally Shiba Inu surged more than 13% on Sunday, January 4, as the broader 2026 meme coin frenzy began unexpectedly and continued to rotate capital among speculative assets. According to data from Santiment, a crypto analytics platform, SHIB’s sudden upside move was largely driven by aggressive accumulation from top whales rather than a surge in retail demand.  Related Reading: Here Are The Top Meme Coins Leading The Crypto Recovery Ahead Of Dogecoin And Shiba Inu In a post on X, Santiment analysts noted that large holders were tightening their grip on Shiba Inu’s supply amid muted retail distribution. This behaviour points to growing confidence among dominant whale wallets and suggests that the recent price rally was not fueled by short-term, hype-driven buying.  Price data also shows the Shiba Inu climb began at the start of January this year, after spending several weeks consolidating near recent lows. Notably, the recent bounce followed a prolonged downtrend that spanned late October through December 2025, making the 13% price jump stand out as a clear shift in momentum.  Overlaying the price action is a rising line on Santiment’s chart that tracks the percentage of SHIB supply held by the top 10 whale wallets. While prices fluctuated throughout the second half of 2025, this metric steadily increased, signaling consistent accumulation even as broader market conditions remained weak.  At the time of the analysis, the 10 largest Shiba Inu wallets collectively controlled about 62.65% of the total supply. Such a high level of concentration is unusual and gives large token holders significant influence over short-term price movements. The single largest wallet alone held roughly 41% of the total SHIB supply, valued at approximately $3.3 billion.  Related Reading: Shiba Inu Lead Dev Reacts To Wild Development On Coinbase Involving $35 Million In SHIB Meanwhile, other top whale wallets each controlled between 2.8% and 5.7%, with several individual addresses worth hundreds of millions of dollars. Notably, the timing of Shiba Inu’s 13% price jump aligns with a visible uptick in whale concentration at the far right of the chart. As more supply became locked up, available liquidity thinned, allowing relatively modest buying pressure to push prices significantly higher.  Shiba Inu’s Total Gains In 2026 So Far According to Santiment, Shiba Inu’s performance in 2026 now stands at a gain of more than 32% Year-to-Date (YTD). If wallet concentration remains elevated and whales continue to grow wealthier, volatility is likely to persist as prices respond quickly to shifts in large-holder behavior. At the time of writing, Shiba Inu is trading at $0.00000916, reflecting a roughly 5% increase in just one day. Featured image from Adobe Stock, chart from Tradingview.com

Shiba Inu (SHIB) has ridden a fresh wave of speculative buying this week, with the token jumping nearly 16% while the broader meme coin sector surged. Related Reading: $18 Million Ethereum Loss Sends Whale Running To Gold According to Santiment, total meme coin valuation rose by about 23% over the period as traders piled back into higher-risk tokens. Trading volumes jumped from $2.16 billion to roughly $8.6 billion, a whopping increase that shows how fast money rotated into this corner of the market. Supply Concentration Raises Eyebrows Reports have disclosed that supply remains highly concentrated among a handful of wallets. The top 10 holders control over 60% of SHIB’s maximum supply, which equals around 1 quadrillion tokens. ???????? Meme coins, the most “speculative” of assets, have proceeded with their post-holiday run. The entire meme market cap is now above $45.3B, growing by +20.8% in just the past week. ???? Based on Santiment’s figures, the official burn wallet alone holds roughly 40% of the total supply, a stake valued at over $3 billion. This kind of concentration can magnify price swings if large holders move coins onto exchanges or sell. Technical Setup Points To A Test Analyst Charting Guy flagged the token’s weekly chart as “looking good” in a January 4 tweet, noting a strong weekly candle that closed up 22%. Based on reports, SHIB started 2026 at $0.000006904 and has since pushed higher. $SHIB weekly looks good pic.twitter.com/YigTTQ3kEW — Charting Guy (@ChartingGuy) January 4, 2026 The meme coin briefly traded above $0.0000093 before a pullback and is currently around $0.000008766. Year-to-date gains sit near 64% and the token was up 2.14% over the past 24 hours and 15.7% over the last week. Charting Guy’s chart shows SHIB approaching the tip of a long-running descending trendline that traces back to a high of $0.0000334 in December 2024. A break above that line would raise the chance of a larger move higher. Meme Coins See Wide Gains Other tokens have also posted big moves. Dogecoin recorded about a 20% rise while Pepe surged roughly 65% over the same span. The group’s sharp gains came as speculative interest accelerated and traders chased short-term returns. Related Reading: A Maduro Bet, A Market Alarm: US Lawmaker Targets Trading Abuses Market Volume And Trader Behavior Santiment’s data highlights that trading activity spiked dramatically, signaling a swift return of hot money to meme coins. The jump from $2.17 billion to $8.7 billion in daily traded value shows more participants are active and willing to take bigger risks. Based on the mix of heavy supply concentration and a crowded technical setup, Shiba Inu’s path could widen in either direction. A decisive breakout above the descending trendline might extend last week’s rally, while heavy selling from large wallets could trigger sharp pullbacks. Crypto analyst Quantum Ascend has published a weekly-chart “roadmap” for Shiba Inu (SHIB) in a new video, laying out three upside targets for a potential altcoin cycle, while warning that SHIB’s deep multi-year drawdown could cap the move if macro conditions deteriorate. The Base Case For Shiba Inu Price In his X post, Quantum Ascend listed “Altseason Targets” as a conservative level (“$0.47 e-8,” as written), a “Primary” target of $0.00014, and a “Blow-Off” target of $0.00035. In the video, the analyst anchored the roadmap to Elliott Wave-style structure and Fibonacci extensions, and emphasized that the bullish path is conditional, not guaranteed. Starting from SHIB’s 2021 peak and the subsequent collapse, the analyst said the drawdown returned price to a historically meaningful zone: “Count out the five wave moves there pretty cleanly, but since then, nothing but a drawdown… Came back down right into this wave four low.” Related Reading: Shiba Inu Scores US Regulated Derivatives Entry Via Coinbase From that setup, Quantum Ascend argued the decline can be read as a “crashing pattern” that often resolves with a reversal back toward prior highs. “So you have your five waves down, and typically what’ll happen, price will roll back up to the fourth wave, and then what it does is it’s going to come take out this fifth wave. This is six, come take out that fifth wave, even if it’s just a little for a wave seven, then it’s done and it turns back the other direction, right? So when we’re looking at it from this perspective, we can see pretty textbook for the level it went to,” the analyst said. “So now that you see the case for a new high… we got to start taking these fibs into play here and figure out, all right, where’s some logical price levels for this thing to end up.” Quantum Ascend then flagged the biggest constraint: SHIB’s magnitude of drawdown relative to prior-cycle behavior. “The one thing that’s stopping me from saying, yep, 100%, we’re going to see new highs, is going back to 2021, price is down 93% at the worst and right now down 92%,” the analyst said. “Back in 2021, coins that set their highs in 2017 and had a 90% plus drawdown did not set new highs in the 2021 cycle… So this is a four-year range down 90 plus percent. It fits the parameter of some of those other coins that never ended up going off into a new all-time high.” Related Reading: Shiba Inu Remains A Familiar Crypto Name As Losses Pile Up If that historical analog holds, the analyst said SHIB could be tracing a larger corrective structure rather than a fresh impulse. “If that’s the case, then this count would be five waves up and then we have an A, B into the retracements, and then C would start taking us much lower. That coincides with a recession-depression type feel,” the analyst said, adding: “And I do believe that that is the base case moving forward here… It’s just really important to understand the broader macro climate. Like this Shiba isn’t going unless everything else is lined up.” The Bullish Case For SHIB Price Even so, Quantum Ascend laid out upside zones using confluence between broader and nearer-term Fibonacci ranges. The analyst’s stated primary target for an “altseason environment” is the 1.618 Fibonacci extension at roughly $0.00014 which translates to a 1,800% rally from the current price. He added: “My blow-off is going to be a full 4.236 extension here of this range.” The blow-off scenario hits $0.00035, but was presented by him as technically possible but unlikely. Market-cap math was used as a reality check. “The thing I’ll say about SHIB is it’s at a $4.2 billion market cap right now. That’s pretty big, especially for what it is,” the analyst said, estimating that a move to the conservative area would imply roughly a $25 billion valuation and that the most extreme scenario would push into triple-digit billions. “That is massive getting up there… That’s like a 50x from where we’re at. And at that point, you’re talking 200 billion for a coin that doesn’t really do anything… In no way, shape, or form is this my base case.” $SHIB | @Shibtoken ????️ Macro Structure Points to New Highs ↗️ Altseason Targets???? ➤➤ Conservative: $0.47 e-8 ➤➤ Primary: $0.00014 ✅ ➤➤ Blow-Off: $0.00035 Here’s the Roadmap???? pic.twitter.com/nWxQsVtLvv — Quantum Ascend (@quantum_ascend) December 18, 2025 Despite publishing upside targets, Quantum Ascend stressed exit discipline over maximal upside capture, noting he does not hold SHIB. “I don’t own this coin, but if I did, I would be layered out all in this area [from the 0.5 Fibonacci level at $0.00004699] … I’d be done by the time it got up to that 1.618 Fibonacci at $0.00014,” the analyst said, arguing that “dollar cost averaging both in and out is a great strategy” in a meme-coin trade that ultimately depends on broader liquidity and risk appetite. The Shiba Inu community was jolted by an unexpected surge of whale activity this week, involving a staggering $35 million worth of SHIB. The large-scale whale movement not only caught the community’s attention but also prompted a rare public reaction from Shiba Inu’s lead developer, Shytoshi Kusama. After months of silence, Shytoshi has seemingly resurfaced to acknowledge the massive transfer.  Shiba Inu Lead Dev Breaks Silence After Massive Whale Move After over three months of silence, Kusama reappeared on X as the Shiba Inu community reacted to a substantial whale movement. His return followed a repost by World Blockchain Capital about the unusually large transfer of 4,136,208,073,220 SHIB from the crypto exchange Coinbase to a private key wallet.  Related Reading: 121 Billion Shiba Inu Coins From Exchanges, Where Are They Headed With Prices Down? World Blockchain Capital tagged several members of the Shiba Inu community in the transaction, urging them to take note and highlighting how rare such a move has been recently. The transaction was first identified by market analyst Del Crxpto, who reported that the more than 4 trillion SHIB transfer was worth about $35 million.  Typically, when tokens are removed from exchanges and moved to a private wallet address, it often signals strategic accumulation or long-term holding by major investors rather than immediate trading activity. In this case, the size of the transaction ignited bullish sentiment from market watchers, especially in a period where the price is experiencing significant volatility and choppy action. Excluding the shock of the transfer, what really caught the interest of the community was Kusama’s unexpected reappearance. The lead developer had previously explained in an earlier post that his reduced visibility was due to a shift in focus toward other new projects.  At the time, he disclosed a new interest in Artificial Intelligence (AI) initiatives aimed at advancing the ecosystem. Kusama emphasized that, despite exploring new directions, he continues to work with SHIB developers, including Kaal Dhairya and others, to shape Shiba Inu’s next phase.  Analyst Eyes $0.0002 SHIB As Whales Return A new report by market analyst ‘SHIB Crack’ on X reveals that the price of Shiba Inu is showing signs of a massive breakout amid rising market activity. Shiba Inu has recorded a notable surge in spot trading activity on several exchanges over the last seven days. This provides a bullish outlook for the second-largest meme coin by market cap, which has been one of the underperformers in this market cycle.  Shiba Inu Sees Surge In Spot Trading Activity CoinGlass data show a 154% surge in Shiba Inu USD spot trading volume on Kraken over the last seven days. There has also been a significant surge on other major exchanges, such as Binance, Bybit, OKX, and Gemini, during the same period. This indicates that spot buyers may be stepping in to defend the SHIB price at a critical support amid the broader crypto market decline.  Related Reading: Will A Shiba Inu ETF Follow After Dogecoin? CoinMarketCap data shows that the second-largest meme coin by market cap is up almost 7% during this period despite Bitcoin’s choppy price action.  Meanwhile, further data from CoinGlass also shows that most leverage traders are currently betting on an increase in the Shiba Inu price, with the long/short ratio currently above 1. However, it is worth noting that derivatives volume is down by over 10% and open interest is down by almost 4%, which presents a bearish outlook for the meme coin.  Another positive for Shiba Inu, besides the surge in spot trading volume, is that the Fed is likely to cut interest rates again at this week’s FOMC meeting. This could inject more liquidity into the crypto market, with altcoins like SHIB benefiting from it. Meanwhile, Bitcoin is currently looking to hold above the psychological $90,000 level, which could pave the way for higher prices for SHIB given their positive correlation.   Community Gives Update On SHIB’s Progress In an X post, Shiba Inu community member Shibizens gave an update on SHIB’s progress over the last few days. The community member noted that over 45 billion SHIB have been moved off exchanges, indicating that holders are accumulating. Shibizens also alluded to a $35 million whale transfer into a private wallet, suggesting that SHIB whales are also bullish.  Related Reading: Will The Shiba Inu Price Hit A New All-Time High In 2025? Shiba Inu has just logged its most intense burst of large-holder activity in half a year, raising questions over whether fresh volatility – and potentially renewed selling pressure – is around the corner. On-chain analytics firm Santiment reported the move on X, highlighting a six-month chart of Shiba Inu’s price, exchange balances and large transfers. According to the firm, “Shiba Inu has seen the highest amount of whale transfers since June 6th today, happening in tandem with a +1.06T net change to the amount of SHIB on exchanges. The #24 market cap in crypto is likely to see high volatility in the coming days.” What Does This Mean For The Shiba Inu Price? The chart shows 406 individual transactions exceeding $100,000 in value within a single day, the highest reading since early June. The second-highest peak occurred during the October 10 market meltdown, when roughly 300 SHIB whales were active, and the third came in mid-July, as more than 280 whales executed transfers. Related Reading: Shibarium Hack Fallout: Shiba Inu Team Criticized For Not Reporting Breach These “whale” transfers represent activity from large holders, trading desks and liquidity providers whose moves can materially affect market liquidity and order-book depth. At the same time, Shiba Inu’s exchange supply has jumped. Santiment’s overlay of “Supply on Exchanges (SHIB)” reveals a clear, abrupt uptick, annotated as “1.06T More SHIB On Exchanges in 24 Hours.” This reflects a net inflow of around 1.06 trillion tokens into exchange wallets, meaning more SHIB is now sitting in venues where it can be traded immediately. In market-structure terms, the combination of record recent whale activity and a sharp rise in exchange balances creates conditions that often precede significant price swings. Moving coins from self-custody to exchanges does not guarantee that they will be sold, but it increases the portion of circulating supply that is “sale-ready” and able to hit the order books at short notice. Related Reading: Will The Shiba Inu Price Hit A New All-Time High In 2025? Machine Learning Algorithm Answers Whether that translates into an outright dump is not yet visible on-chain. The same footprint could reflect whales preparing to sell, to arbitrage across venues, to supply liquidity, or to rebalance positions in anticipation of broader market moves. Santiment itself stops short of a directional call, limiting its guidance to the expectation that the Shiba Inu token “is likely to see high volatility in the coming days.” For now, the data point is clear: Shiba Inu’s largest holders have become more active than at any time since early June, and over a trillion additional tokens have shifted onto exchanges in just 24 hours. The direction of the next major move will depend on how that newly mobile supply is deployed. At press time, SHIB traded at $0.00000859. The Shiba Inu price and its trajectory over the last few months have been a source of growing concerns for SHIB investors as the meme coin has failed to secure any meaningful recovery. Despite the Bitcoin price rallying, Shiba Inu has remained quite muted, failing to reach new all-time highs through the bull rally. Therefore, with only two months left in the year 2025, the question remains as to whether the Shiba Inu price can still rally to new all-time highs. Machine Learning Algorithm Predicts Shiba Inu Price Trajectory The machine learning algorithm at the Coincodex website has shown a trajectory for the Shiba Inu price that suggests that the meme coin is destined for more sideways action this year. The prediction for the new year is that the meme coin will continue to trade in a very tight range. Related Reading: Institutions Have Been Buying Solana Every Day For 2 Weeks, Is $300 Possible? Even with the Shiba Inu price currently trending more than 88% below its all-time high from 2021, the machine learning algorithm does not see it bouncing anytime soon. For the rest of the year, the cryptocurrency is expected to trade under $0.000012. This puts it in the tight range of $0.00001-$0.000012. Interestingly, though, the same way the machine learning algorithm has predicted no increase, there is no expectation of a decline. The trajectory of the SHIB price over the next two months shows an almost straight line, and then continues into the year 2026 in the same manner. When Will SHIB Hit New All-Time Highs? According to the machine learning algorithm, SHIB investors awaiting the meme coin to hit a new all-time high have a long wait ahead of them. The long-term prediction suggests that the Shiba Inu price will not hit a new all-time high in the next decade. For most of the time, the algorithm suggests that the cryptocurrency will only see double-digit growth for each year over the next couple of years. Interestingly, historical data also support muted performance for the Shiba Inu price for the rest of the year. CryptoRank website shows an average return of 0.31% for SHIB for the month of November and -9.84% for the month of December. If these hold, then it means that the SHIB price is more likely to decline than recover as the year moves toward an end. Featured image from Dall.E, chart from TradingView.com

The Shiba Inu derivatives market is again heating up, providing a bullish outlook for the SHIB price. This comes as the crypto market rebounds, with SHIB also recording notable gains in the past few days.  Shiba Inu Derivatives Market Heats Up With Rising Open Interest CoinGlass data shows that the Shiba Inu derivatives market is heating up, with open interest rising as much as 15% on November 8. This indicates that traders are again betting on a significant price movement from the foremost meme coin. Notably, SHIB broke above the psychological $0.000010 level amid this rising open interest. Related Reading: Here’s Why Dogecoin And Shiba Inu Prices Are Crashing, Is A Recovery Possible? Further data from CoinGlass shows the long/short ratio is 0.9, indicating that more traders are betting on a Shiba Inu price surge than a decline. Meanwhile, this development comes as the crypto market rebounds from last week’s crash, which saw BTC drop below $100,000, dragging SHIB and other altcoins down. SHIB is up over 8% since last week.  Fundamentals, such as the application for a Shiba Inu ETF, have sparked this rebound in SHIB’s price. This is expected to drive institutional capital into the SHIB ecosystem, potentially triggering price rallies. Furthermore, the U.S. government shutdown could end soon, which is also bullish for the SHIB price alongside the broader crypto market.  From a technical analysis perspective, crypto analyst SHIB Knight noted that Shiba Inu is slowly accumulating and forming a bullish pattern. He added that once it breaks out of this low range, it will go higher. However, Santiment data shows that SHIB whales are still on the sidelines and are not accumulating more coins. The whales’ transactions (transactions above $100,000) have been on a downtrend, with most daily transactions over the last two weeks in the single digits. SHIB Eyes Rally To $0.0003 Crypto analyst Javon Marks has predicted that the Shiba Inu price could rally to $0.00003. This came as he noted that SHIB looks to be already broken out of a key accumulation. He added that with prices having shown bull divergences earlier this year, the meme coin may be preparing for a surge of around 200%, which will lead to a retest of the resistance in the $0.000032 range.  Related Reading: Shiba Inu Team Shares Major News, Could This Trigger A SHIB Bull Run? The Shiba Inu open interest has been one of the worst-performing among the top cryptocurrencies by market cap in the year 2025. While there has been a general increase in open interest across the likes of Bitcoin and Ethereum, pulling the market up with them, Shiba Inu has not followed this trajectory. Instead, the meme coin’s open interest has crashed significantly, making new 2025 lows in the process. Shiba Inu Open Interest Crashes Below $100 Million At the start of the year, on January 16, 2025, the Shiba Inu open interest had hit a new all-time high above $519 million despite the SHIB price action remaining relatively muted. It wasn’t long until the open interest began to decline, and it has been mostly downhill from there since. Related Reading: Dogecoin Price Resurrection To $0.5 Could Be Imminent If This Level Breaks By the start of February 2025, the Shiba Inu open interest had crashed by more than 50%, recording one of the sharpest declines in the market. However, the open interest had managed to stay above the 2024 lows as the SHIB price fluctuations kept traders interested. Now, however, the majority of the open interest that was seen in Shiba Inu at the start of the year is almost completely gone. Data from the Coinglass website shows that the open interest has now fallen below $100 million for the first time in 2025, marking a new yearly low. The current average of around $89 million translates to an over 80% decline in the last 9 months, painting a similar picture to the alt coin’s price, which is down 88% from its 2021 all-time highs. As this decline continues, it continues to impact the price, affecting its ability to stage a meaningful recovery. SHIB Could Be At A Pivotal Point As mentioned above, the last time that the Shiba Inu open interest was this low was back in 2024, but the interesting thing is that periods of low interest have often preceded some of the biggest moves. Back in August 2024, the Shiba Inu open interest had fallen to its lowest levels since 2023, but the next three months would see a rapid increase in both interest and price. Related Reading: Evernorth Has Reached 95% Of Its XRP Treasury Target – Here Are The Numbers Times of low interest, such as these, have often been breeding grounds for accumulation ahead of the next move. Shiba Inu’s effort to grow beyond being a meme coin is struggling. Its blockchain network, Shibarium, was created to bring real use and value to the project, but it has not gained much attention or activity. Developer interest and user engagement are very low, and the network’s overall growth has slowed down sharply. Recent network issues, including technical troubles and security problems, have made things worse. Many users have left, and new projects are not joining. As a result, Shibarium now shows very little activity, leading many in the crypto community to call it a “ghost chain.”  Shiba Inu’s Struggle To Evolve Beyond A Meme Coin Shiba Inu tried to change its image from a simple meme coin into a real blockchain project capable of competing with other networks. The team launched Shibarium, a layer-2 blockchain, in 2023 to help make this move. However, this plan has not worked as expected, with Shibarium failing to attract developers, projects, or users and gaining no market share. Related Reading: XRP At $1,000 Is Peanuts If Used To Clear US National Debt; Pundit Explains According to data from DeFi Llama, Shibarium has only 18 developers since it began. It is a much lower number than on other blockchains, which have hundreds or even thousands of active developers. The total value locked (TVL) on the network, which shows how much money people have invested in it, has fallen to just $878,000.  Shibarium has also failed to attract any stablecoins, which are among the most widely used tokens in decentralized finance. Not a single stablecoin project has deployed on the network, reflecting Shibarium’s lack of presence in one of the most critical areas of the crypto world. Other newer and more active layer-2 networks like Base, Arbitrum, Plasma, and Linea have already moved far ahead, leaving Shibarium behind. Hacks And The Decline Of Shibarium Network Activity Things got worse for the network when ShibaSwap, the most popular decentralized app (dApp) on the Shibarium network, was recently compromised. The attack eroded user confidence and forced developers to pause a key bridge connecting Shibarium to other networks. Even with the bridge now active, most of the network’s activity stopped. Many users could not move their tokens or use apps, making the network almost entirely silent. Related Reading: Here’s Why The XRP Price Still Isn’t Bearish Despite The 50% Flash Crash Because of this drop in network activity, Shibarium is no longer helping burn SHIB tokens. Typically, a portion of network transaction fees goes toward buying and burning Shiba Inu tokens, helping reduce supply and support the token’s price. But now, with very few transactions, the burn process has slowed down significantly. The decline in users, developers, and activity are indicators that Shibarium’s dream of becoming a strong, useful blockchain has not come to fruition. Instead of growing into a central crypto platform, it has become what some would call the real ghost chain.  Featured image created with Dall.E, chart from Tradingview.com

Popular technician Charting Guy (@ChartingGuy) calls Shiba Inu “weak and choppy” and suggests the token may not break out until late in the current crypto cycle. Sharing a weekly Shiba Inu chart, he wrote on Oct. 26, 2025: “SHIB has been weak and choppy all cycle. Won’t do anything until the end imo.” How High Can Shiba Inu Price Go? The below TradingView chart is a weekly SHIB/USD study anchored to a Fibonacci ladder. The price marker on the right rail reads $0.000010205, placing SHIB fractionally below the 0.236 retracement band annotated at $0.000011043. Above that, the chart maps successive overhead levels at 0.382 near $0.000016434, 0.5 around $0.000022661, 0.618 near $0.000031247 and 0.786 at about $0.000049369. The red 1 line flags $0.000088410, with higher extension markers plotted at 1.272 ≈ $0.000185406, 1.414 ≈ $0.000272917 and a terminal 1.618 ≈ $0.000475605. A stylized projection trace on the chart depicts a late-cycle, near-vertical advance that only materializes after a prolonged base and then stalls inside the 1.0–1.272 cluster before breaking above the 1.272 Fib extension and topping below the 1.414 Fib extension roughly at $0.000022; the path visually reinforces the author’s contention that SHIB underperforms until the “end.” Related Reading: Shiba Inu Holds Firm Despite 18% Crash, 1.5M Holders Signal Faith in 2025 Recovery In a separate post on Oct. 24, Charting Guy ranked market structures across majors and large-cap altcoins, explicitly placing SHIB in his “Bad Looking Charts” bucket while labeling Bitcoin, Ether, XRP, Solana, BNB and Stellar as “Good Looking Charts.” His list read, in part: “Good Looking Charts: BTC, ETH, XRP, SOL, BNB, XLM … Decent Looking Charts: XDC, DOGE, PENGU, ADA, ONDO, SUI, AAVE, LTC … Eh Looking Charts: PEPE, FLOKI, FLR, LINK, BCH … Bad Looking Charts: SHIB, WIF, ETC, AVAX, FET, RENDER, INJ, CRV, ALGO, SOLO, COREUM, NEAR, VET, COMP, DOT, IOTA, FIL, ATOM, And many more.” What To Expect The technical message is unambiguous: on a weekly timeframe, SHIB remains capped beneath early Fibonacci thresholds that many chartists treat as momentum gates. Remaining below 0.236 typically signals that price has yet to reclaim even the shallowest retracement of the prior cycle; clearing it often opens room to test the 0.382–0.5 midpoint zone where trends either accelerate or fail. Related Reading: Here’s Why The Shiba Inu Price Could Bottom And Rise Another 40% In Charting Guy’s map, structurally meaningful inflection areas stack tightly from roughly $0.000016 to $0.000031, with the 0.618 level near $0.000031 attributed the role of a trend-confirmation threshold. The cycle-top roadmap he drew concentrates risk and reward into the higher cluster around $0.000088 to $0.000185, a range often watched by Fibonacci practitioners for exhaustion and distribution in late-stage moves. However, a rise to $0.00022 could still mean an incredible upside for SHIB of around 2,055.81%—a roughly 20.56-fold increase. Contextually, his relative-strength table is just as important as the levels. By grouping SHIB with other “bad looking” structures while upgrading Bitcoin, Ether, XRP, Solana and BNB, he is signaling an expectation that market breadth will remain narrow and quality-led before any speculative rotation into meme-beta like SHIB. That framework aligns with his succinct call that SHIB “won’t do anything until the end,” implying a sequencing view rather than a categorical dismissal. At press time, SHIB traded at $0.00001046. The Shiba Inu price decline following the October 10 liquidation was as swift as the rest of the market, and even now, the meme coin continues to struggle to reach its pre-crash prices. Nevertheless, there have been some developments among major metrics that could indicate that the Shiba Inu price is getting ready to mark a bottom. These range from the open interest to the trading volume, with both reaching levels that have previously marked the bottom for the price. Open Interest Crashes Toward 2025 Lows One major metric that has suffered when it comes to Shiba Inu is the open interest. This metric which tracks the total number of open contracts for the meme coin has dropped very sharply, alongside the price, and has reached levels not seen in nine months. According to data from the Coinglass website, the Shiba Inu open interest is now sitting below $80 million. The last time that the open interest was this low was back at the start of January 2025, right before the surge. Back then, the open interest being below $80 million marked the bottom for the Shiba Inu price. What followed was a quick uptick in the Shiba Inu price as investors began to take their positions once again. The result was a sharp uptick in the open interest, rising by over 800% in the next few weeks to reach a new all-time high open interest of $542 million. If history repeats itself, then this is when the Shiba Inu price could see a retracement. Volume Paints Possible Bullish Future For Shiba Inu Price Another metric that has fallen toward 2025 lows is the daily trading volume. Coinglass shows that trading volume is currently averaging below $200 million, which is quite low for the meme coin known for being one of the most famous meme coins in the space. The daily trading failing blow $200 million has often been one of the markers of a bottom for the Shiba Inu price. This was the case back in May 2025 before the price rallied 40%, and then again in July 2025, leading to another 40% rally. If this trend also holds, then it could be the precursor to another 40% rally. Coupled with the open interest crashing to 9-month lows, the Shiba Inu price might be on the verge of another upsurge. Crypto exchange Changelly has predicted when the Shiba Inu price could delete three extra zeros and rally to as high as $0.01. Based on the prediction, the top meme coin is still over a decade away from achieving this milestone, even as it currently underperforms in this market cycle.   When The Shiba Inu Price Could Hit $0.01 Changelly predicted in a blog post that the Shiba Inu price could reach $0.01 by September 2040. Specifically, they highlighted $0.0106 as the maximum price that SHIB could reach by then. Meanwhile, the crypto exchange projects that the meme coin could still reach $0.0139 by year-end 2040, highlighting that price level as the maximum for December 2040.  Related Reading: Why The Shiba Inu Consolidation Could End Rapidly With An Explosive Price Rally The crypto exchange also expects the Shiba Inu price to record further upside from that level, predicting that the meme coin could reach a maximum price of $0.0177 by year-end 2050. This marks a gain of 160809.1% from the meme coin’s current price level. The SHIB burn is one of the mechanisms the SHIB community has adopted to achieve the $0.01 target for the meme coin.  The Shiba Inu burn tracker explained that reducing the number of tokens in circulation could increase the Shiba Inu price over time. The platform added that the community’s goal is to raise the meme coin’s price to $0.01. According to the Shiba Inu burn tracker, SHIB’s circulating supply needs to be 224 trillion for it to get to this price target.  Therefore, 61.98% of the meme coin’s circulating supply must be removed from circulation, representing 589.5 trillion tokens. SHIB currently has a circulating supply of 589.24 trillion, indicating there is still a long way to go before the meme coin reaches its 224 trillion target. However, the meme coin would also have to witness significant demand for these burns to have an impact on the Shiba Inu price.  A Recovery Is On The Cards For SHIB Crypto analyst Javon Marks stated that a more than 150% recovery move to $0.000032 is on the cards for the Shiba Inu price based on a bullish divergence that has formed for the meme coin. This comes as SHIB continues to struggle, with the meme coin one of the top altcoins with a year-to-date (YTD) loss.  Crypto analyst SHIB Knight said that the first target for the Shiba Inu price as part of its recovery is $0.00001209, which is the former accumulation zone. The analyst noted that when the market turns positive, SHIB is often among the first to recover. He claimed that this is mainly because of the strength of the SHIB Army.  Related Reading: Here’s Why Analysts Are Predicting A Massive Shiba Inu Price Rally In October At the time of writing, the Shiba Inu price is trading at around $0.00001065, down in the last 24 hours, according to data from CoinMarketCap. Shiba Inu is back in focus as October begins, with the crypto now trading above $0.000012 after weeks of sideways movement below this price level. Despite the sideways price action, on-chain data is pointing to a change in metrics that could soon translate into a breakout.  Crypto analyst Zayn shared fresh on-chain data of Shiba Inu custody on social media platform X, pointing out that the meme coin may be setting up for what traders have nicknamed Uptober. Exchange Reserves Hit Lowest Level Since 2023 According to data from on-chain analytics platform CryptoQuant, Shiba Inu exchange reserves have fallen to 84.55 trillion tokens, valued at about $998 million based on the current price of SHIB. This is important because this is the lowest amount of SHIB held on crypto exchanges since 2023, right before the crypto market started to transition out of a bear market. Related Reading: Why Shiba Inu Price Could Explode 100% With This Descending Pattern On The 2D Chart Interestingly, CryptoQuant’s data shows that Shiba Inu’s exchange reserves have been locked in a consistent downtrend throughout much of 2025, with large outflows steadily draining tokens from exchange wallets.  That trend briefly reversed in September when SHIB’s price attempted a breakout above $0.0000146 but was rejected. The rejection triggered a temporary spike in reserves, likely as short-term investors moved their holdings back onto exchanges to sell into the rally.  However, CryptoQuant data shows that the exchange reserve has resumed its outflows in the past few days, which shows that a massive amount of tokens are leaving exchanges and moving into self-custody or staking. Why Does This Matter? The decline in Shiba Inu’s exchange reserves carries weight because it directly impacts the balance between supply and demand. A shrinking supply of tokens on exchanges often translates to reduced selling pressure, since fewer holders are in a position to offload their tokens quickly.  Related Reading: Can Meme Coins Like Dogecoin And Shiba Inu Still Rally? What To Expect At the same time, history has shown that significant drops in exchange reserves often precede phases of strong accumulation. These accumulation waves have acted as a foundation for rallies, and this gives a reason to believe that the current trend could once again set the stage for a meaningful price breakout. Zayn noted that SHIB is currently trading just below a descending resistance trendline with lower highs and higher lows since May 2025. The bullish outlook right now is a break above this resistance of higher lows. SHIB’s track record in October provides an additional layer of confidence for its price outlook. Since its launch, Shiba Inu has never recorded a red October. Even during the 2022 bear market, SHIB managed to close the month in profit.  This consistent performance, combined with the current depletion of Shiba Inu exchange reserves, is why analysts are increasingly convinced that SHIB could be on the verge of a significant rally. If the trend repeats, October 2025 may add another chapter to Shiba Inu’s history of Uptober rallies. At the time of writing, Shiba Inu is trading at $0.00001261, up by 2.4% in the past 24 hours. Shiba Inu is approaching a decisive inflection on the 6-day SHIB/USDT chart, according to analyst CryptoNuclear’s October 1 TradingView update. The pair is pressing into a long-standing demand shelf between $0.00000850 and $0.00001183, a band that has repeatedly arrested declines since 2022 and underpinned the market’s extended sideways structure. The zone is highlighted as the market’s “make-or-break” area: hold here and the path opens to a multi-leg advance; lose it and the structure degrades into a deeper drawdown. Key Shiba Inu (SHIB) Price Levels Structurally, the macro picture remains defined by lower highs from the all-time peak, which continues to signal longer-term seller control. That said, the persistence of bids inside the $0.00000850–$0.00001183 box speaks to ongoing accumulation. The 6-day candles have compressed into a progressively tighter range, a classic volatility contraction that typically precedes expansion. With range width narrowing and tests of the same support recurring, the next directional move is likely to be sharp. On the topside, the first pivot is $0.00001580. CryptoNuclear frames this level as the initial breakout trigger on a 6-day closing basis, with volume confirmation required to validate impulsive intent. A decisive close above would expose a stair-step series of upside references at $0.00001940, $0.00002400, and $0.00003338, each corresponding to prior supply within last year’s distribution. Related Reading: Why Shiba Inu Price Could Explode 100% With This Descending Pattern On The 2D Chart Beyond those intermediate shelves sits a larger supply cluster at $0.00007870–$0.00008836, marked on the chart as the “High” band; in the event of a macro reversal, that zone could act as a longer-horizon magnet where profit-taking would be expected. Failure to defend the accumulation base flips the script. A breakdown through $0.00000850, especially on expanding volume, would invalidate the range thesis and shift focus to $0.00000543, annotated as the “Low” on CryptoNuclear’s chart and the next meaningful liquidity pocket below. Acceptance beneath that threshold would increase the risk of capitulation dynamics and the formation of new cycle lows, given the lack of dense historical trading in between. Market positioning follows naturally from the map. Optimistic dip-buyers view the $0.00000850–$0.00001183 area as value and a favorable risk-to-reward location, provided the market can reclaim and hold above $0.00001580 to convert resistance into support and sustain a trend continuation sequence. Related Reading: Shiba Inu Exchange Reserves Fall Below $1 Billion Amid Withdrawal Spree, What This Means For Price Cautious participants see symmetrical risk: the same compression that fuels breakouts can fuel breakdowns, and a daily-to-weekly close beneath the floor would argue for defense first. Neutral traders remain patient, waiting for confirmation via a 6-day close beyond either $0.00001580 or $0.00000850 before committing size. In sum, SHIB is coiled at a historically significant base that is likely to determine the asset’s macro path into 2025–2026. Respecting support keeps the recovery track intact toward $0.00001940, $0.00002400, and $0.00003338, with a more ambitious runway into the $0.00007870–$0.00008836 supply envelope if momentum broadens. Losing the base hands control back to sellers with $0.00000543 as the first downside checkpoint. For investors and swing traders alike, the $0.00000850–$0.00001183 zone—and the reaction around $0.00001580 overhead—are the levels to watch. At press time, SHIB traded at $0.00001231. Shiba Inu (SHIB) is witnessing a significant shift on centralized exchanges, as fresh on-chain data reveals that the meme coin’s reserves have plunged below the $1 billion mark following a massive withdrawal spree. While this decline may seem concerning at first glance, historical trends suggest that such large-scale withdrawals often indicate a shift from selling to accumulation in the long term.  Shiba Inu Exchange Reserves Plunge To New Lows According to data from CryptoQuant, Shiba Inu’s exchange reserves have experienced a steep drop in recent months. As of September 28, 2024, SHIB’s supply across exchanges was approximately 143.62 trillion tokens, equivalent to over $1.5 billion at the time. However, by Monday, September 29 2025, reserves have thinned down significantly to 84.55 trillion tokens, valued at just under $998 million at current market rates.  Related Reading: Is Shiba Inu At Risk Of Losing Its Second-Largest Meme Coin Position To PEPE And MemeCore? Based on this timeline, the supply of Shiba Inu on exchanges has decreased by a whopping 59.1 trillion tokens in just one year. This marks the lowest level of SHIB held on exchanges since 2023, highlighting a shift in investor sentiment as withdrawals flood the market.  Notably, the sharpest decline in Shiba Inu’s exchange reserves this year was recorded on January 7. At the time, holdings across these centralized platforms fell to 107.84 trillion SHIB, marking a drop of more than 33 trillion tokens from January 6, when reserves stood at roughly 140.79 trillion coins. Since then, SHIB’s exchange balances have continued to shrink, decreasing week by week. The decline in available supply suggests that investors may be moving their tokens into self-custody or staking options, thereby reducing risks from widespread selling pressure. Historically, when exchange reserves plummet, assets become scarcer for trading, creating conditions in which price pressure can develop if demand increases.  At the same time, SHIB’s price has faced turbulence in recent months. The token is currently trading at around $0.000011, down from its local highs earlier this year. However, analysts like ’SHIB KNIGHT’ on X social media believe that the current dip represents a buying opportunity, pointing out that the meme coin has entered a key accumulation zone. He argues that long-term holders are capitalizing on lower valuations, slowly adding to each dip.  Technical Signals Hint At SHIB Price Breakout While Shiba Inu’s exchange supply declines, technical charts suggest that the meme coin may be preparing for its next price breakout. According to market expert ‘SHIB Mortal,’ Shiba Inu is showing signs of setting up for an “Uptober” rally. His chart analysis highlights a descending resistance trendline that the coin has repeatedly tested, paired with strong support around the $0.000010 zone. Related Reading: Why Shiba Inu Price Could Explode 100% With This Descending Pattern On The 2D Chart SHIB Mortal’s chart illustrates a potential reversal pattern forming, where the meme coin could bounce off current support, reclaim the trendline, and ignite a possible rally to $0.000019 by October. This move would mark a surge of over 70% from current levels around $0.000011.  Featured image from Getty Images, chart from Tradingview.com

Shiba Inu has spent the past several days trading in a downward path after a failed breakout attempt above $0.000015 earlier this month. Despite the cautious sentiment among investors, Shiba Inu’s chart structure on the 2-day candlestick timeframe is pointing to an interesting structure.  Related Reading: Shiba Inu Completes Bullish Setup: Why A 138% Climb Could Be In The Works A technical analysis by crypto analyst Jonathan Carter highlights a descending triangle formation that could set the stage for a strong bullish move. The setup suggests that if support holds, SHIB could be preparing for a sharp rally in the coming weeks. Shiba Inu’s Descending Triangle Formation Technical analysis of the Shiba Inu price chart on the 2-day candlestick timeframe shows the meme coin locked inside a descending triangle pattern with lower highs pressed against a descending resistance line and repeated retests of a support zone around $0.00001080 support. This level has acted as the most important Shiba Inu price floor since the beginning of the year, although buyers have been stepping in more around $0.000012 since August to defend it.  The descending triangle formation is starting to tighten, creating a pressure that often precedes an explosive breakout. This has led to a tilt toward the bullish scenario of Shiba Inu breaking above the upper trendline of the triangle. However, this depends on whether it can bounce at the support convincingly. If the support continues to hold, this pattern could be the springboard for a push to a bullish run.  SHIB Price Could Explode 100% As it stands, the Shiba Inu price is currently on a steady upward push, having rebounded at $0.000012 in the past 24 hours. It is now trading just below the 50-day moving average that it must overcome for bullish confirmation.  Related Reading: Shiba Inu Bulls Are Back: Here’s The 512 Billion SHIB Accumulation That Triggered A Spark Jonathan Carter’s analysis outlined several upside targets that could be unlocked once SHIB confirms a breakout from the pattern. The chart above shows a path that would take the meme coin directly into higher prices if it breaks above the upper trendline of the descending triangle. The first resistance is at $0.00001420, followed by $0.00001600, then $0.00001850, and finally $0.00002050. A successful rally through these levels would mark an increase of almost 100% from current prices. This bullish momentum might even be enough to position Shiba Inu for a return to the resistance zone around $0.00002460, an area last contested at the beginning of 2025. For this scenario to play out, SHIB must continue to defend its established support zone between $0.00001200 and $0.00001224. A breakdown below this base would invalidate the bullish outlook, leaving the meme coin vulnerable to another fall to the deeper support levels around $0.00001080.  At the time of writing, Shiba Inu is trading at $0.00001219. As long as buyers are able to maintain this support zone, the descending triangle pattern offers Shiba Inu a credible opportunity for a breakout rally. Crypto analyst Javon Marks has revealed that Shiba Inu has completed a bullish setup and that a rally of around 138% may be on the horizon. Fundamentals such as the new SEC rule also provide a bullish outlook for the foremost meme coin.  Shiba Inu’s Bullish Setup Hints At 138% Rally In an X post, Marks said that Shiba Inu’s setup is still hinting at a rally of over 138%, which would send the SHIB price back to around $0.000032. He added that it is only a matter of time for this move to materialize as a bull signal holds confirmed, hinting at this move for the top meme coin.  Related Reading: Shiba Inu Bulls Are Back: Here’s The 512 Billion SHIB Accumulation That Triggered A Spark Before now, Marks had highlighted a divergence confirmation for Shiba Inu, which led to his prediction that a bullish reversal could still be in the cards for the meme coin. SHIB has underperformed up till now, with a year-to-date (YTD) loss of around 38%. However, the analyst has claimed that SHIB could still rally to as high as $0.000081, which would bring it close to its current all-time high (ATH).  The potential launch of a Shiba Inu ETF could be one of the catalysts that spark a parabolic run for the SHIB price. Marketing lead Lucie noted that SHIB has regulated futures on Coinbase, which makes it eligible for an ETF listing under the generic listing standards that the SEC just approved.  Lucie stated that the big picture for Shiba Inu is that SHIB now joins the “ETF-watchlist club” with other futures-backed cryptos. She added that even before a SHIB-only ETF, the meme coin could be bundled into a multi-asset-backed ETF. A Shiba Inu ETF would inject new liquidity into the meme coin’s ecosystem and could spark higher prices.  New ATH Incoming For SHIB In an X post, crypto analyst Shib Spain declared that a new ATH is incoming for Shiba Inu. He stated that the meme coin will bounce “hard” off the support zone around $0.000013 and rally to new highs. Crypto analyst Ragnar Shib remarked that SHIB is heating up, having recorded a 19% gain in the last 90 days.  Related Reading: Shiba Inu Diamond Hands Are Refusing To Sell, Bulls Eye $0.00009 ATH The analyst stated that Shiba Inu remains the number one meme token on Ethereum and is fully decentralized, boasting a growing ecosystem that includes the layer-2 network Shibarium, as well as DeFi and NFT products.  Crypto analyst Investing Haven highlighted that auto burns and the Shibarium upgrades continue within the SHIB ecosystem, which has helped reduce the circulating supply. However, he warned that the risk associated with the Shiba Inu ecosystem remains high.  He also noted that SHIB is witnessing a tactical pullback, although the bull structure is still evolving. In line with this, he advised investors to track the burn rate and fixes in the Shiba Inu ecosystem.  At the time of writing, the Shiba Inu price is trading at around $0.00001325, down in the last 24 hours, according to data from CoinMarketCap. The Shiba Inu community is on high alert after a major compromise of the Shibarium bridge over the weekend. What began as reports from blockchain security firm PeckShield quickly escalated into a confirmed attack involving validator key leaks, flash loans, and malicious state changes. Developers have scrambled to contain the breach by freezing 4.6 million BONE tokens, but the situation has revealed vulnerabilities in the security of Shiba Inu’s infrastructure and has had an impact on Shiba Inu’s short-term price action. Developer Confirms Attack Details Taking to the social media platform X, Shiba Inu developer Kaal Dhairya revealed that the incident was probably planned for months and executed using a flash loan to acquire 4.6 million BONE tokens. After gaining access to validator signing keys, the attacker was able to gain majority control and approve a malicious state to siphon assets from the Shibarium bridge. Fortunately, the stolen BONE was delegated to Validator 1, leaving it locked by unstaking delays and giving the team a narrow opportunity to intervene. Related Reading: Shiba Inu Team Confirms Delayed Migration Is A Go, Here’s What’s Coming Dhairya confirmed that the developers immediately froze the compromised funds, suspended all staking and unstaking activity, and transferred stake manager reserves into a hardware wallet secured by a 6/9 multisignature setup. However, the moves were temporary until the extent of the validator compromise could be confirmed, but the developer assured the community that protecting assets was the team’s top priority. The breach drew quick attention from multiple blockchain security outfits. PeckShield, a leading blockchain security company, posted an Etherscan transaction showing the breach by the ShibaSwap exploiter on X.  However, Kaal Dhairya noted that the Shiba Inu team is working with PeckShield, Hexens, and Seal 911 to continue investigations on the incident and the next steps to take. According to a separate analysis by Tikkala Security on X, the losses appear to extend beyond the BONE freeze. The post claimed that multiple signer keys appear to have leaked in Shibaswap, which caused an estimated $2.8 million loss. Tikkala Security pointed to an attacker address on Etherscan and explained that the exploit involved repeatedly submitting legitimate Merkle leaf exit requests tied to a root signed by ten different addresses. Market Impact And Price Outlook Despite the severity of the breach, BONE’s market price spiked by over 20% in the hours following the freeze announcement, and this is likely due to the rapid containment. However, the BONE price has calmed, and the breach could have long-term effects that extend beyond the next few days.  Related Reading: Shiba Inu Breakout Structure Suggests 670% Rally To $0.000155 The Shibarium bridge is important to Shiba Inu’s strategy. Any lingering doubts about validator integrity or the scope of the losses could weigh heavily on the price of Shiba Inu and BONE. As it stands, both the Shiba Inu and BONE prices have reversed gains in the past few hours. At the time of writing, BONE is trading at $0.1959, down by 4.4% in the past 24 hours, but still up by 24% from its price point seven days ago. Shiba Inu, on the other hand, is trading at $0.00001305, down by 7% in the past 24 hours. Featured image from iStock, chart from Tradingview.com

On-chain data shows that Shiba Inu diamond hands are holding on to their coins despite the meme coin’s underperformance in recent times. This comes as SHIB bulls eye a new all-time high (ATH), with the meme coin potentially reaching $0.00009.  Shiba Inu Holders Are Refusing To Sell Despite SHIB’s Underperformance Glassnode data shows that Shiba Inu’s holder retention rate is currently at 96%, having been on an uptrend over the last thirty days. The metric tracks the percentage of addresses that have held SHIB over the past 30 days. An uptick indicates that holders aren’t selling but instead even accumulating more coins.  Related Reading: Shiba Inu Market Maker Is On The Move With Billions Of SHIB, Here’s What We Know Furthermore, Santiment data confirms that investors are still accumulating Shiba Inu, despite SHIB’s underperformance. Notably, the number of holders have continued to rise amid the price downtrend, and there are now 1.53 million SHIB holders. This comes as the meme coin looks to hold above the psychological $0.000010 price level.  However, a negative for SHIB is the downtrend in the holdings of Shiba Inu whales. Santiment data shows these whales have continued to offload their coins amid the meme coin’s underperformance. These whales refer to those holding 10 million coins and above. Notably, they account for over 98% of the meme coin’s total supply.  This also explains why there have been more exchange inflows than outflows, highlighting the fact that there is currently more supply than demand. On September 5, the exchange inflows were 73.73 billion SHIB while the outflows were 46.25 billion coins. Meanwhile, supply on exchanges remains sideways, with whales choosing to offload their coins and stay on the sidelines rather than actively buying the dip.  SHIB Bulls Eye New ATH Shiba Inu bulls are eyeing a new all-time high for the meme coin despite its underperformance this year. Crypto analyst Javon Marks has also fuelled the bullish outlook for the SHIB price, predicting that it could record a rally of over 500%, which would bring it close to its current ATH of $0.00008845. Related Reading: Shiba Inu Price Forms Double Bottom At Demand Zone — What To Expect In an X post, Marks said that Shiba Inu has confirmed a bullish pattern in a regular bull divergence with the MACD Histogram. He explained that this suggests that the SHIB price is about to record a major bullish reversal to the upside, which can include a move of over 163% back into the $0.00003 range. The crypto analyst further remarked that this move may only be the start. He stated that the 163% move could be part of an over 570% run to the $0.000081 breakout target if the Shiba Inu price continues to hold well broken out of an older structure.  At the time of writing, the Shiba Inu price is trading at around $0.00001230, up in the last 24 hours, according to data from CoinMarketCap. Shiba Inu (SHIB) has taken a big step into a new area of decentralized finance, making it part of a cross-chain lending and borrowing market. This latest move was made possible by an integration with Chainlink (LINK) and a new listing on Folks Finance.  Shiba Ibu Official Announcement Confirms Cross-Chain Lending Launch The news was confirmed directly by SHIB’s official account on X. The team said that SHIB is now available for lending and borrowing on Folks Finance. Following the announcement, token holders can participate in new financial activity by depositing the tokens to earn yields or using them as collateral across different blockchains. Related Reading: You Won’t Believe How Much Of The Shiba Inu Supply The Top 10 Addresses Control Chainlink’s Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol (CCIP) has enabled Shiba Inu to function as a cross-chain token. By adopting CCIP, SHIB is no longer limited to one network and avoids the liquidity trap on separate chains. With the integration, digital assets can be transferred seamlessly between blockchains, supporting lending and borrowing within a single, interconnected system. According to the official announcement, the CCIP protocol resolves the liquidity issue of liquidity fragmentation. Using Chainlink’s technology, SHIB has entered a new stage where it can serve as part of the cross-chain DeFi market. This key move makes the token the first memecoin to join Folks Finance’s lending markets. In the announcement, the SHIB team also said that incentives for depositors were already active. Depositors and users who add SHIB tokens to Folks Finance can immediately participate in the program and benefit from the new market structure. Folks Finance Hails Shiba Inu As First Memecoin In Cross-Chain Markets Folks Finance also shared the development on its official X account. The platform described the Shiba Inu token as “the first memecoin with cross-chain lending markets.” This description shows the significance of the listing because no other memecoin has reached this level of cross-chain DeFi market presence before. Folks Finance notes that the memecoin has transitioned into a category that allows it to participate in broader DeFi activities. Related Reading: Is Binance Manipulating XRP Price And Driving The Crash? Analyst Gives Answers The digital asset now connects to a system that allows lending, borrowing, and liquidity, and the team at Folks Finance also highlights the integration powered by Chainlink’s CCIP. The post also stated that anyone can now deposit and borrow SHIB on any part of the protocol’s chain. The single unified pool with deep liquidity creates a situation where users do not need to worry about fragmented markets.  The SHIB team and Folks Finance announcements show that Chainlink’s CCIP has brought Shiba Inu into a new market. The integration has given SHIB new use cases beyond its original status as a memecoin. With cross-chain lending, borrowing, and incentives now available, Shiba Inu could become part of a growing decentralized finance market that spans many chains, opening doors for stronger adoption in the future.  Featured image from DALL.E, chart from TradingView.com

New data from Santiment has revealed that the top 10 Shiba Inu (SHIB) addresses control over 62% of the entire token supply. The crypto analytics platform shared the update on Tuesday, posting percentages of supply held by the top blockchain wallets of popular Ethereum-based tokens on X.  Santiment Data Reveals Top 10 Wallets Hold Over 62% Of Shiba Inu Supply According to the Santiment report, the concentration of Shiba Inu supply in the hands of the top 10 wallets is striking. According to the data, out of Shiba Inu’s original one quadrillion tokens, 62.3% are now controlled by only ten addresses. This figure amounts to around 623 trillion SHIB tokens.  Related Reading: Is Binance Manipulating XRP Price And Driving The Crash? Analyst Gives Answers Public blockchain data available on Etherscan offers an even closer look at these leading Shiba Inu addresses, giving more detailed information about the wallets and the amounts of SHIB they currently hold.  The biggest wallet in this group is the official Shiba Inu burn address created when Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin sent over 410 trillion SHIB to the address in 2021. This address contains 410.43 trillion SHIB, making it the largest single holder in the ecosystem. Tokens in this wallet are considered permanently removed from circulation. Another primary address also holds a large amount of SHIB. This wallet contains about 53.37 trillion tokens, equal to 5.33% of the total supply. The wallet may be associated with a decentralized exchange or a smart contract. These two top wallets together already make up a large part of the Shiba Inu supply, while a mix of exchanges and other entities fills the rest of the list. Exchanges Dominate The Biggest Shiba Inu Holdings The data also shows that several of the largest wallets belong to major centralized exchanges. Robinhood appears on the list as one of the most oversized holders. The wallet linked to Robinhood currently holds 39.27 trillion SHIB, which represents 3.92% of the total supply. Binance is also a leading holder of Shiba Inu. The address labeled Binance Hot Wallet 20 contains 30.71 trillion tokens, or 3.07% of the total supply. Crypto analyst Jonathan Carter has alluded to a technical pattern for Shiba Inu, which points to a breakout to the upside. Based on this, he predicted that the meme coin could soon break above the psychological $0.00002 level, which could pave the way for higher prices.  Shiba Inu Confirms Descending Channel Breakout In an X post, Carter said that the Shiba Inu descending channel breakout has been confirmed. He noted that the meme coin has successfully broken above the descending channel and is currently consolidating just below the MA 50 on the daily timeframe. Based on this, the analyst indicated that SHIB could record a rally of over 100%.  Related Reading: Shiba Inu Price Set For 650% Expansion To $0.00009 ATH If This Happens This came as Carter stated that a move above this MA could trigger an explosive rise toward targets at $0.00001400, $0.00001750, $0.00002050, and $0.00002500. Meanwhile, his accompanying chart showed that Shiba Inu could rally further to $0.000033 if it successfully breaks above $0.000025. However, the $0.000033 level will mark a huge resistance for the meme coin.  Notably, crypto analyst Javon Marks recently predicted that Shiba Inu could record a rally of over 163% to the $0.00003 range. He stated that the SHIB price had formed a bullish pattern in a regular bull divergence, which the MACD Histogram confirmed. Based on this, he declared that a reversal was on the horizon, with the meme coin rallying to the upside.  These bullish predictions come amid a bearish sentiment toward the Shiba Inu price. The meme coin has underperformed the broader crypto market and is down over 42% year-to-date (YTD). However, crypto analyst Shib Spain is still bullish on the meme coin. He stated that the longer the meme coin’s accumulation continues, the more powerful the explosion will be.  SHIB At Crossroads At The Moment In a TradingView post, crypto analyst CobraVanguard suggested that the Shiba Inu price is at a crossroads at the moment. This came as he highlighted a triangle pattern, which he stated would break in the direction it is breached, and the price would then move in that direction. Shiba Inu (SHIB) is showing signs of a powerful comeback as fresh bullish signals emerge on the charts. A rare divergence pattern is fueling speculation of a massive reversal, with analysts eyeing a potential rally that could stretch as high as $0.000081. But can SHIB really sustain the momentum for such an explosive rally? Bullish Divergence Sparks Hopes Of A Reversal In a recent update shared on X, Javon Marks revealed that Shiba Inu has confirmed a bullish pattern through a regular bullish divergence on the MACD histogram. This technical development signals a notable shift in momentum that could mark the beginning of a major reversal for SHIB, with buyers slowly regaining control of the market structure. Related Reading: Shiba Inu Price Forms Double Bottom At Demand Zone — What To Expect Javon Marks further explained that this signal points to a possible 163% surge, which could lift SHIB back into the $0.00003 range. Such a move would not only signal renewed bullish strength but also mark an important recovery from the recent periods of consolidation and price weakness that have kept the token under pressure. The analyst also stressed that this projection may represent only the first leg of a much larger rally, suggesting that the token is preparing for a sustained upward move rather than a short-lived bounce. Looking further ahead, Javon Marks outlined an even more ambitious scenario for SHIB. If bullish momentum continues to build, the breakout pattern could fuel an extraordinary 570% run, potentially driving the price toward the $0.000081 target. Such a move would dramatically reshape SHIB’s long-term outlook, establishing it as one of the most aggressive rebound moments in the crypto market. Shiba Inu Key Technical Outlook Presently, the first significant resistance sits near $0.000017, a level that has acted as a barrier in recent sessions. A successful close above this zone could open the door toward $0.0000204, and potentially drive SHIB toward the $0.0000263 mark. Breaking through these levels would confirm renewed bullish momentum and could encourage further accumulation by buyers. Related Reading: How High Can Shiba Inu Climb In 2025? Analyst Gives Candid Outlook On the downside, SHIB has immediate support around $0.0000080, which aligns with recent lows. A deeper pullback could test the $0.0000065 region, where the 100-day moving average currently provides backup. If bears manage to push the price below this level, SHIB risks revisiting the $0.00000534 support area, which would likely increase selling pressure. For now, Shiba Inu remains in a wait-and-see zone. A decisive break above resistance could spark a bullish continuation, while failure to hold above near-term support might expose the token to further downside.
