The ‘MicroStrategy’ of Ethereum has emerged, with Fundstrat’s Tom Lee and Joe Lubin making moves to advance their respective ETH treasuries. Tom Lee has emerged as the Chairman of BitMine, which will hold ETH, while Lubin is already the Chairman of SharpLink Gaming. Lee and Lubin Raise $675 Million for Ethereum Treasury Strategy Tom Lee and Joe Lubin have already advanced their plans to create the ‘MicroStrategy’ of Ethereum. On Tom Lee’s end, BitMine announced a $250 million private placement to raise capital for its Ethereum strategy. The Bitcoin mining company stated that the net proceeds of the offering will be used to acquire ETH, which will become the firm’s primary reserve asset. Related Reading: Crypto Analyst Predicts $10,000 ATH For Ethereum This Cycle, Here’s Why BitMine plans to close this private placement on or about July 3, as it aims to become one of the largest publicly traded ETH holders with Tom Lee as the Chairman of the Board. On the other hand, SharpLink Gaming, with Joe Lubin’s help, is already the largest publicly traded Ethereum holder. The company earlier launched its Ethereum treasury with a $425 million ETH purchase. SharpLink Gaming recently announced that it has increased its total ETH holdings to 198,167 ($475 million), further establishing its position as the ‘MicroStrategy’ of Ethereum. Between June 23 and 30, it acquired 9,468 ETH for $22.8 million at an average price of $2,411 per ETH. During that same period, SharpLink Gaming also raised an additional $24.4 million through its At-The-Market (ATM) facility, selling $2.5 million shares. The company revealed that most of the proceeds will go toward further Ethereum acquisitions. As of June 30th, 100% of its ETH is staked, and the firm has earned 222 ETH in rewards since it began an ETH treasury company. Plans To Mirror Saylor’s Strategy In an X post, crypto commentator Eric Conner commented on how Ethereum is getting its own MicroStrategy era thanks to Lee and Lubin’s experiments. He highlighted BitMine’s proposed KPI of ‘ETH per share,’ which mirrors Saylor’s playbook, except that ETH earns yield in this instance through staking. Related Reading: These Companies Are Following Saylor’s Strategy Into The Bitcoin Battleground With Over $2 Billion Slated To Buy BTC Conner further remarked that BitMine’s mining DNA lets it spin up validators and tap DeFi rails, turning a once-capital-intensive operation into a cash-flow engine secured by Ethereum. On the other hand, he noted that Joe Lubin and SharpLink Gaming’s move is bigger. SharpLink is already staking its ETH holdings and plans to explore other DeFi strategies. With this move, the crypto commentator declared that ETH becomes the reserve while yielding bankroll growth. Lubin also recently raised the possibility of adding leverage to SharpLink Gaming’s Ethereum strategy, which will mirror Saylor’s strategy. He stated that they may do convertible equity and issue bonds at low rates, without putting the strategy at risk. At the time of writing, the Ethereum price is trading at around $2,444, down in the last 24 hours, according to data from CoinMarketCap. Featured image from iStock, chart from Tradingview.com

Institutional demand for Ethereum appears strong as spot exchange-traded funds (ETFs) have recorded seventh-straight week of inflows. US Ethereum Spot ETFs Have Recently Seen Continuous Inflows In a new post on X, the analytics firm Glassnode has shared an update on how the netflow related to the US Ethereum spot ETFs is looking. Spot ETFs are investment vehicles that allow investors to gain exposure to a given cryptocurrency without having to directly own tokens of it. Related Reading: Ethereum At Risk? If $2,200 Cracks, $1,160 May Be Coming These ETFs trade on traditional platforms, so traders taking this route don’t have to bother with digital asset exchanges and wallets. For investors only familiar with the traditional mode, this fact can make the ETFs the preferrable mode of investment. The US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) approved spot ETFs for Ethereum in mid 2024, half a year after Bitcoin’s approval went through near the start of the year. Below is the chart shared by Glassnode that shows how the aggregate netflow has been like for the US ETH spot ETFs during the past few months. As is visible in the graph, the Ethereum spot ETFs saw outflows earlier in the year, but the trend has been different since the final third of April. Save for a week in May, a net amount of capital has been pouring into these investment vehicles. “As ETH rebounded from $2.2K to $2.5K, institutional appetite followed,” notes Glassnode. “Spot ETH ETFs recorded 106K ETH in net inflows last week – marking the 7th consecutive week of positive flows.” Ethereum isn’t the only cryptocurrency that has recently been enjoying ETF inflows. As the analytics firm has pointed out in another X post, the number one digital asset, Bitcoin, is also seeing demand pick up. As displayed in the above chart, Bitcoin has also been seeing a green netflow for the US spot ETFs, but due to a week of outflows in early June, the streak only stands at three weeks for the asset. During the latest week, around 15,000 BTC flowed into the ETFs. In USD terms, that’s equivalent to $1.6 billion. For comparison, inflows amounted to $258.6 million for Ethereum. Clearly, while both have seen demand, there is a clear difference of scale involved between the two. Related Reading: Dogecoin Under Pressure: Only Top 10 Coin Where Loss-Taking Exceeds Profit From the graph, it’s apparent that the US Bitcoin spot ETFs saw an acceleration of demand over the course of June. It only remains to be seen, though, whether the trend would keep up in this month of July. ETH Price Ethereum crossed the $2,500 level earlier, but it seems the coin has since faced a pullback as its price is back at $2,400. CRYPTOWZRD, in his latest update on X, highlighted Ethereum‘s indecisive close, suggesting the market is still searching for clear direction. Despite the uncertainty, he remains optimistic, noting that both Bitcoin and BTC dominance are showing strength that could benefit ETH in the near term, with $2,800 marked as the next major resistance. Mixed Signals Across Ethereum Key Timeframes In the post, CRYPTOWZRD pointed out a mixed close for Ethereum across key timeframes. While the monthly candle ended indecisively, signaling some short-term hesitation, the quarterly candle closed with strong bullish conviction. This, he suggests, sets the stage for more upward movement in the coming months as higher timeframes begin to assert dominance. Related Reading: Ethereum Gears Up For Breakout Above $2,800 – Bullish Momentum Builds He emphasized that today’s daily candles for both ETH and ETHBTC closed similarly indecisive, reflecting the current uncertainty in the market. However, with Bitcoin dominance starting to decline, he sees potential for ETHBTC to pick up strength, which could, in turn, fuel Ethereum’s next leg up. According to CRYPTOWZRD, ETHBTC is already showing signs of life, moving upward from a monthly double-bottom formation. He believes that clean, bullish candles forming from the 0.02270 BTC region would inject fresh momentum into Ethereum, helping to drive it toward the $2,800 resistance, a key level on the radar. He added that unless any negative fundamental developments occur, $2,400 remains Ethereum’s main daily support zone. As long as this holds, the broader structure remains intact, and the bullish thesis stays valid. Looking ahead, CRYPTOWZRD plans to keep his attention on the lower timeframes tomorrow. With volatility in play and setups brewing, he’ll be watching closely for quick scalp opportunities as Ethereum navigates through this critical range. Waiting On Chart Confirmation For The Next Intraday Move In his closing remarks, the analyst noted that Ethereum’s intraday chart experienced heightened volatility throughout the day. Despite the choppy price action, he sees clear setups forming that could present solid trading opportunities in the near term. Related Reading: Ethereum Analyst Eyes High Timeframe Close – Range Break Above $2,800 Could Be Violent A decisive breakout and close above the $2,550 resistance level would be a strong bullish signal, potentially opening the door for a long entry. On the flip side, if the price pulls back toward the $2,380 support and forms a bullish reversal pattern, that too could serve as a valid trigger for a long position. With these scenarios in mind, the analyst plans to closely monitor the intraday chart. His focus will be on spotting a clean and high-quality setup, one that aligns with price structure and momentum to time the next scalp trade effectively. Tom Lee, the market strategist known for his insightful predictions on Bitcoin (BTC) and broader crypto prices, has taken on the role of chairman of the board at BitMine Immersion Technologies, a Bitcoin mining company now setting its sights on becoming the largest publicly traded holder of Ethereum (ETH). Tom Lee Appointed Chairman At BitMine Lee’s appointment comes alongside an ambitious plan to raise $250 million in a private placement aimed at implementing a strategy that positions Ethereum as the primary treasury reserve asset, while still maintaining its core Bitcoin mining operations. This initiative reflects a growing trend within the financial services sector, where the convergence of traditional finance and cryptocurrency is gaining momentum, further highlighted by President Trump’s decision to establish a strategic crypto reserve. Related Reading: Solana Forms Bullish Flag On Daily Chart — Breakout Imminent? Lee highlighted this shift during an appearance on CNBC’s “Squawk Box,” stating, “The financial services industry and crypto are converging, and it really started with stablecoins.” Lee likened stablecoins to the “ChatGPT of crypto,” emphasizing their widespread adoption among consumers, businesses, and financial institutions, including major players like Visa. Interestingly, stablecoins have gained a major victory in Congress last week with the passage of the GENIUS Act which aims to provide a new regulatory framework for these crypto assets. Transforming Into An Ethereum Treasury Powerhouse According to Lee, Ethereum serves as the foundational architecture for stablecoins, making it crucial for BitMine to accumulate ETH in order to influence and secure its position within the network. The company’s strategy will include monitoring the value of Ethereum held per share as a key performance metric, akin to Strategy’s (previouisly MicroStrategy) well-known “BTC Yield” metric for Bitcoin. During his interview, Lee explained that BitMine plans to enhance the value of ETH per share through reinvestment of cash flows, capital market activities, and the appreciation of Ethereum itself. As more companies explore treasury management strategies beyond Bitcoin, BitMine is not alone in its pivot. It joins other firms like SharpLink Gaming, which initiated its own Ethereum treasury strategy earlier this year, and DeFi Development, which is focusing on Solana. Related Reading: Wave 3 Ignites As XRP Breaks Structure—Analyst Says ‘Fireworks Ahead’ This announcement sparked a major surge for the Bitcoin mining company which started the day with a market capitalization of just $26 million. However, following Lee’s interview, the number skyrocketed beyond the $200 million mark. BitMine’s stock, trading under the ticker name BMNR, also saw a major surge on Monday closing the day at $33.90 per share. According to Yahoo Finance data, this means a nearly 700% surge for the mining firm’s shares. On the other hand, Ethereum has retraced 1% below the key $2,500 level in the 24-hour time frame to its current price of $2,470 per token. Featured image from DALL-E, chart from TradingView.com
Ethereum currently has strong support at $2,200, but one analyst has pointed out that if the level fails, the next region to watch could be $1,160. On-Chain Data Shows Strong Ethereum Demand Zone Near $2,200 In a new post on X, analyst Ali Martinez has talked about where support lies for Ethereum based on on-chain data. In on-chain analysis, levels are considered as major support/resistance zones if they host the cost basis or acquisition level of a significant part of the ETH supply. The reason behind this lies in the fact that investors are more likely to show some kind of reaction when the retest of their break-even level takes place. This buying/selling is irrelevant to the wider market if only a few holders are having it tested at once, but the story can be different when the retest is of the cost basis of a large amount of them. Related Reading: Dogecoin Under Pressure: Only Top 10 Coin Where Loss-Taking Exceeds Profit Below is the chart shared by the analyst that shows how the different price levels around the current Ethereum spot price are currently looking in terms of the amount of supply that was purchased at them. In the graph, the size of the dot corresponds to the amount of Ethereum supply contained within the associated price range. It would appear that, out of the ranges listed, the $2,218 to $2,396 levels currently have the largest dot, meaning that they host the most supply. More specifically, this range has the cost basis of 6.28 million addresses, who purchased a total of 67.2 million ETH at its levels. Given this fact, it’s possible that should a retest of the range occur, investors could show a strong reaction. But what kind of reaction would it be, buying or selling? Well, these investors are in profit right now and usually, such holders are more likely to double down on the asset during declines to their acquisition mark, as they may believe the same price level would turn out to be profitable again in the future. As such, the $2,218 to $2,396 range could end up acting as a strong support level for Ethereum. In the scenario that ETH falls below the lower end of the range around $2,200, however, it may have to rely on support elsewhere. Related Reading: XRP Down 3% After SEC Settlement Stalls, But Social Media Turns Bullish From the chart, it’s apparent that all the ranges below are much smaller in terms of supply. The next major support zone lies all the way down at $1,160, where 35.9 million addresses acquired 21.58 million tokens. Naturally, Ethereum doesn’t have to slip right through to this zone if $2,200 is lost, but if the data is to go by, it does suggest that the coin could have a harder time regaining footing below it. There is a key bullish trend line forming with support at $2,450 on the hourly chart of ETH/USD (data feed via Kraken). The pair could start a fresh increase if it remains stable above the $2,400 zone in the near term. Ethereum Price Eyes Fresh Gains Ethereum price started a fresh increase above the $2,440 support level, like Bitcoin. ETH price was able to clear the $2,460 and $2,480 resistance levels to move into a positive zone. The bulls even pushed the price above the $2,500 zone. However, the bears were active near the $2,520 level. A high was formed at $2,522 and the price is now consolidating gains. The price dipped below the 23.6% Fib retracement level of the upward move from the $2,435 swing low to the $2,522 high. Ethereum price is now trading above $2,460 and the 100-hourly Simple Moving Average. There is also a key bullish trend line forming with support at $2,450 on the hourly chart of ETH/USD. It is close to the 76.4% Fib retracement level of the upward move from the $2,435 swing low to the $2,522 high. On the upside, the price could face resistance near the $2,520 level. The next key resistance is near the $2,550 level. The first major resistance is near the $2,600 level. A clear move above the $2,600 resistance might send the price toward the $2,680 resistance. An upside break above the $2,680 resistance might call for more gains in the coming sessions. In the stated case, Ether could rise toward the $2,750 resistance zone or even $2,800 in the near term. Downside Break In ETH? If Ethereum fails to clear the $2,520 resistance, it could start a fresh decline. Initial support on the downside is near the $2,450 level and the trend line. The first major support sits near the $2,420 zone. A clear move below the $2,420 support might push the price toward the $2,400 support. Any more losses might send the price toward the $2,350 support level in the near term. The next key support sits at $2,320. Technical Indicators Hourly MACD – The MACD for ETH/USD is losing momentum in the bullish zone. Hourly RSI – The RSI for ETH/USD is now above the 50 zone. Ethereum is trading above $2,400 after enduring several days of volatility and uncertainty. The price has managed to stabilize despite sharp intraday swings, reflecting growing tension between bullish momentum and cautious sentiment. Analysts are now calling for a decisive move, with some expecting a breakout toward higher levels, while others warn of a possible correction if key demand zones fail to hold. Related Reading: Bitcoin Struggles Below ATH After Weeks Of Failed Attempts – $109K Level In Focus On one hand, ETH has shown strength by holding above its short-term support range, suggesting that buyers are stepping in with confidence. Bullish momentum appears to be building, especially as macro sentiment around risk assets begins to recover. On the other hand, opposing views point to weakening volume and lingering macroeconomic risks, which could trigger a deeper retracement if Ethereum fails to sustain current levels. Adding weight to the bullish case is fresh data from CryptoQuant, which highlights a strong accumulation pattern among long-term ETH holders. According to the data, significant buying pressure emerged during the recent consolidation phase, with hodlers steadily increasing their positions. This divergence between price action and accumulation behavior suggests that foundational support for Ethereum remains intact, even as traders await the next major move. Ethereum Accumulation Builds And Market Awaits Breakout Ethereum is struggling to reclaim the $2,500 level, but its ability to hold steady amid ongoing market uncertainty is a sign of underlying strength. For weeks, ETH has traded within a well-defined range between $2,200 and $2,800, with neither bulls nor bears able to take decisive control. This prolonged consolidation has delayed the long-anticipated altseason, which many believe will only begin once Ethereum breaks above key resistance and pushes into higher territory. Despite the lack of clear direction, the macro setup is becoming increasingly interesting. Global markets remain volatile, with shifting interest rate expectations, geopolitical risk, and unpredictable liquidity conditions creating mixed signals across risk assets. Yet Ethereum continues to hold firm, supported not just by technical structure but also by significant long-term holder activity. According to insights from CryptoQuant, a strong accumulation pattern has been detected among Ethereum holders. During the June consolidation phase, long-term investors steadily increased their positions, even as price action remained choppy. This divergence between price and accumulation volume signals growing confidence under the surface. When price consolidates while demand builds, the result is often explosive. With ETH holding key support levels and long-term accumulation rising, the stage may be set for a major move. If Ethereum can push through $2,500 and reclaim higher ground, it could serve as the ignition point for a broader altcoin rally. Until then, the market remains in a state of quiet buildup. Something big is coming—and Ethereum is at the center of it. Related Reading: Ethereum Sees $269M In Net Inflows In 24H – Bullish Momentum Accelerates ETH Struggles With Resistance Amid Mixed Signals Ethereum is currently trading at $2,470 after failing to hold intraday gains above the $2,500 level. The 12-hour chart shows ETH consolidating within a broader range, with $2,200 acting as strong support and $2,800 as key resistance. Despite several bullish attempts, Ethereum has struggled to reclaim higher ground, and the rejection near the 100-period SMA (green line at $2,537) signals persistent selling pressure near resistance. The price is currently trading above the 200 SMA ($2,170) and just under the 50 SMA ($2,507), which now acts as a short-term resistance. This tight positioning of moving averages suggests ETH is at a decision point—either it breaks through $2,500 to target $2,600 and higher, or it risks rolling over if bulls fail to hold momentum. Related Reading: ONDO Breaks Out Of Ascending Channel – Analyst Sets $0.29 Target Volume remains relatively flat, indicating indecision. The overall structure still favors a neutral-to-bullish bias, especially if price continues to close above the 200 SMA. As the market’s second largest cryptocurrency, Ethereum (ETH), struggles to maintain momentum above the crucial $2,500 threshold, one analyst believes that ETH is poised for a significant rally. In a recent post on social media platform X (formerly Twitter), crypto analyst Cyclop expressed a bullish outlook, labeling the current market conditions as the best long setup for Ethereum he has seen in years. Analyst Sees $4,000 Target This Summer Cyclop highlighted that Ethereum short positions have reached all-time highs, a situation reminiscent of a previous spike that occurred just weeks ago. The analyst noted that liquidity has been swept on both sides, creating a scenario where market uncertainty may actually benefit Ethereum. “Most doubt ETH and altcoins right now—I’m betting on $4,000 this summer,” he stated confidently. Related Reading: TD Sequential Flashes Buy: Dogecoin Ready For Rebound To $0.21 Cyclop outlined several key factors driving his optimistic stance. First, he pointed to the recent Pectra update, which has reinvigorated interest in Ethereum by enhancing transaction capabilities, updating security features, and improving staking options. This update has reportedly led to increased demand, contributing to a potential price surge. Moreover, Cyclop emphasized the broader macroeconomic landscape, noting that cryptocurrency adoption is accelerating beyond Bitcoin (BTC), with Ethereum taking a prominent role. The analyst suggests that major corporations and banks are beginning to purchase and stake Ethereum, further boosting trust and interest in the digital asset which could ultimately result in more demand and more price uptrends. Ethereum Rallies May Trigger Altcoin Boom On-chain metrics also favor Ethereum, with the cryptocurrency ranking highly in various categories, according to Cyclop. It currently stands as the second-highest by fees, leads in bridged net flows, and ranks third in stablecoin supply changes, showcasing its robust market position. Another critical aspect of Cyclop’s analysis concerns altcoins and the upcoming altseason, traditionally characterized by a rush of investment into Ethereum before spilling over into smaller tokens. He pointed out that historical patterns indicate that Ethereum price rallies often trigger broader altcoin surges, and the current market sentiment suggests that many altcoins are at their lowest ebb. Related Reading: Dogecoin Silent Build-Up: Double Bottom Hints At Explosive Move To $0.47 While Cyclop acknowledges that a majority of altcoins may face significant challenges, he argues that ETH remains undervalued, especially with Bitcoin trading near $100,000. He has made strategic moves, reallocating some of his Bitcoin holdings into Ethereum and promising strong altcoins. His initial target for Ethereum is $3,000, where he plans to take profits, followed by a series of sell orders between $4,000 and $6,000. As of press time, ETH trades at $2,500, a 12% price increase in the weekly time frame. Featured image from DALL-E, chart from TradingView.com

Ethereum Price Eyes More Gains Ethereum price started a fresh increase above the $2,420 support level, like Bitcoin. ETH price was able to clear the $2,450 and $2,480 resistance levels to move into a positive zone. The bulls even pushed the price above the $2,500 zone. However, the bulls were active above the $2,500 level. A high was formed at $2,523 and the price is now consolidating gains above the 23.6% Fib retracement level of the upward move from the $2,394 swing low to the $2,523 high. Ethereum price is now trading above $2,450 and the 100-hourly Simple Moving Average. There is also a key bullish trend line forming with support at $2,440 on the hourly chart of ETH/USD. On the upside, the price could face resistance near the $2,520 level. The next key resistance is near the $2,550 level. The first major resistance is near the $2,580 level. A clear move above the $2,580 resistance might send the price toward the $2,650 resistance. An upside break above the $2,650 resistance might call for more gains in the coming sessions. In the stated case, Ether could rise toward the $2,720 resistance zone or even $2,800 in the near term. Downside Correction In ETH? Ethereum is facing a crucial test as bulls and bears lock into a tight battle around the $2,500 level. Despite repeated attempts, bulls have yet to establish control above this key resistance, while bears have been unable to push the price to new lows, signaling an indecisive but increasingly tense standoff. This price compression comes at a time when broader market sentiment is shifting. The US stock market has just reached a new all-time high, and analysts believe crypto could be next to follow. Related Reading: ONDO Breaks Out Of Ascending Channel – Analyst Sets $0.29 Target Fueling that optimism is fresh data from Artemis showing that Ethereum recorded over $269 million in net inflows in the past 24 hours. This sharp increase in capital moving into ETH reflects renewed investor confidence and may act as a catalyst for further price action. As global liquidity trends upward and risk appetite returns, Ethereum continues to gain momentum. Still, the $2,500 level remains a major hurdle. A confirmed breakout above it could trigger a sharp move higher, potentially leading the way for altcoin recovery. Until then, ETH traders remain on alert, watching for either a clean breakout or another rejection in what could be a defining moment for Ethereum’s mid-term direction. Ethereum Builds Strength As Altseason Awaits Breakout Ethereum has been consolidating in a broad range, trading between $2,200 and $2,800 for several weeks. This tight band of price action reflects a broader indecisiveness across the altcoin market, with traders still waiting for a definitive breakout to kickstart the long-anticipated altseason. Despite occasional surges in momentum, ETH has yet to break above the $2,800 mark—a level that could open the door for sustained upside and renewed altcoin activity across the board. The macroeconomic environment remains a wildcard. With mixed inflation data, geopolitical risks, and a volatile interest rate outlook, markets are reacting cautiously. Yet, amid this backdrop, Ethereum continues to show resilience. Many analysts believe that once ETH breaks out of this range, it could act as the trigger for a broader altcoin rally. Adding to the bullish outlook is fresh data shared by top analyst Ted Pillows, who highlighted a significant shift in investor behavior. According to Pillows, Ethereum saw over $269 million in net inflows in the last 24 hours, signaling renewed demand from institutional and retail players alike. These inflows, tracked by Artemis, point to growing confidence and could serve as the foundation for Ethereum’s next leg higher. While uncertainty lingers, momentum is quietly building. Ethereum’s ability to hold above $2,200 and attract capital during macro headwinds suggests strength beneath the surface. For altseason to truly ignite, ETH must break out of its current range and push decisively into higher territory. Until then, traders and investors continue to watch closely, knowing that once the breakout happens, it could shift the entire market cycle forward. Related Reading: Ethereum Holds Critical Long-Term Channel – Next Move Could Be Parabolic ETH Consolidates Below 200-Day SMA Ethereum is currently trading at $2,427, consolidating below the key 200-day simple moving average (SMA) at $2,544. After bouncing off support near $2,200 earlier this month, ETH has managed to hold above the 100-day SMA ($2,167) and regain some structure. However, the price remains capped by a cluster of resistance levels, including the 50-day SMA ($2,534) and the 200-day SMA, both of which are converging near $2,540—a critical zone for bulls to reclaim. The chart shows that Ethereum has been trading within a broad range between $2,200 and $2,800 for several weeks, reflecting indecision in the market. The failure to break through the $2,800 zone earlier in June has kept ETH in a sideways pattern. Volume has also declined, suggesting caution among traders as ETH tests this tight band of resistance. Related Reading: Bitcoin Forms 4-Year Inverse H&S Pattern – Neckline Break Could Send It Parabolic A strong daily close above the $2,540–$2,550 region could confirm a bullish breakout and reignite momentum toward the $2,800 level. On the downside, a drop below $2,300 would weaken the current setup and expose Ethereum to further losses. Featured image from Dall-E, chart from TradingView
Crypto analyst XForce has predicted that Ethereum could reach a new all-time high (ATH) of $10,000 in this market cycle. He acknowledged that there is yet to be a macro fundamental that supports this bullish outlook, but remarked that it remains “ideal.” Ethereum Eyeing Rally To As High As $10,000 In an X post, XForce stated that Ethereum is still looking to shoot for a new ATH this cycle and could end around $9,000 to $10,000. This followed his remarks that ETH’s move up on the shorter timeframes was objectively impulsive. In other words, these rallies were bullish with real-time technical indicators. Related Reading: Is Ethereum Staging A Repeat Of 2021? Here’s Why A 200% Surge Could Follow As to what could drive this Ethereum rally to $10,000, XForce noted that there is no macro scenario providing a good look. However, he remarked that this rally to this ambitious target remains only ideal in nature, given the context. The analyst added that this idea remains his primary prediction for now. Crypto analyst Venturefounder also recently predicted that Ethereum could reach this $10,000 price target in this market cycle. However, the analyst declared that ETH’s run to this ambitious target depends on whether the altcoin is able to flip $4,000 into support by the fourth quarter of this year. Crypto analyst Titan of Crypto also recently suggested that Ethereum was ready for a lift-off. In an X post, he stated that after a failed breakout, ETH deviated below and found support right on the cloud. Now, the altcoin is back within the range. For a bullish momentum to resume, Titan of Crypto claimed that ETH must clear the cloud and reclaim the Kijun around $2,500. The analyst had previously predicted that Ethereum could rally to $8,500 in this market cycle. An Ultra Bullish Scenario For ETH In response to his initial X post, XForce provided an alternative scenario for Ethereum, in which it could rally to as high as $150,000. The analyst remarked that it would be wild to see this play out, but that it remains an option based on an idealized 5-wave structure. ETH is expected to reach the $150,000 target on Wave 5. Related Reading: Ethereum Price Crash To $2,100 Triggers Fear, But Why Are Analysts Predicting A Rally To $6,000? XForce’s accompanying chart showed that Ethereum could reach this $150,000 target by July 2028. The analyst remarked that the uber bullish scenario remains his alternative because there seems to be no logical approach for ETH to reach such levels. He again warned that neither scenario provides the proper context on the macro, but only remains ideal. As such, based on logic, XForce remarked that it is best to choose the best of the worst. At the time of writing, the Ethereum price is trading at around $2,400, down in the last 24 hours, according to data from CoinMarketCap. Featured image from Getty Images, chart from Tradingview.com
Ethereum is showing signs of renewed strength, trading 75% above its April lows as bulls attempt to reclaim lost ground. Despite this impressive recovery, ETH still sits roughly 98% below its all-time highs, leaving significant room for growth if bullish momentum accelerates. Market sentiment is shifting, with many analysts and investors eyeing Ethereum as the leading candidate to spark the long-awaited altseason. Related Reading: Bitcoin Forms 4-Year Inverse H&S Pattern – Neckline Break Could Send It Parabolic Top analyst Ted Pillows recently shared a technical view suggesting that Ethereum has once again retested its lower channel — a pattern that has historically preceded explosive rallies in previous market cycles. In both 2017 and 2021, this same setup led to massive gains, and some believe this cycle could be no different. With macro conditions still uncertain but risk appetite growing across crypto markets, Ethereum’s price action is being closely watched. If the pattern holds, ETH could be on the verge of a powerful breakout that pulls the broader altcoin market along with it. Whether this becomes a historic launchpad or another consolidation phase remains to be seen, but for now, Ethereum is clearly at the center of attention. Ethereum Holds Key Support As Historic Pattern Signals Bullish Potential Ethereum is trading at a crucial technical level after reclaiming the $2,400 mark, where bulls and bears are locked in a tug-of-war. Buyers have managed to defend the key support zone, but upward momentum remains muted as broader market sentiment remains cautious. Geopolitical tensions and tightening macroeconomic conditions continue to shape risk appetite, making many investors hesitant to fully commit to high-beta assets like Ethereum. Still, the long-term setup is attracting attention from seasoned analysts. Pillows points to a recurring historical pattern that could define Ethereum’s trajectory in the coming months. According to his analysis, ETH has retested its lower trend channel once in each major market cycle, and each retest has preceded extraordinary rallies. In 2017, Ethereum surged 300x from this setup. In 2021, it delivered a 50x return. If history even partially repeats itself, a conservative 6x move would send ETH above the $10,000 mark. The setup is technically sound and aligns with the broader sentiment that Ethereum could lead the next altcoin rally, especially if Bitcoin breaks into price discovery. While uncertainty remains, ETH’s current position is a pivotal zone. If bulls manage to maintain structure and push toward range highs, the conditions for a breakout may soon align. Related Reading: Ethereum Staking Hits Record High: 29.02% Of Supply Locked Signals Long-Term Conviction ETH Holds $2,400 Level But Faces Resistance Ethereum is consolidating around $2,422 after reclaiming the $2,400 support zone, but the chart shows that bulls face significant resistance just above current levels. On the 12-hour timeframe, ETH has struggled to break above the 50- and 100-period simple moving averages, currently sitting at $2,518 and $2,536, respectively. This cluster of resistance has capped every recent attempt to move higher, reinforcing it as a short-term barrier that bulls must overcome to regain momentum. ETH’s failed breakdown below $2,200 earlier this week now looks like a bear trap, as buyers stepped in aggressively to reclaim lost ground. Still, without a decisive break above $2,530, Ethereum remains vulnerable to another retest of the $2,300–$2,200 support zone. Related Reading: Ethereum Fakes Out Bears – Altcoin Rally Depends On Key Level Breakout The 200-period SMA near $2,160 remains a key downside level to watch — if price fails to hold above it on future dips, bears could regain control. For now, Ethereum appears to be range-bound, caught between macro uncertainty and bullish hopes for an altseason. A breakout above $2,550 would confirm renewed strength and open the door for a push toward $2,800. Featured image from Dall-E, chart from TradingView
Ethereum has seen a notable spike in its daily transactions after a week filled with uncertain market movement. While the rise in the daily transactions has caught attention, what is really essential to point out is that it has been a long time since the daily transactions have been this high. In fact, the spike has led to the highest level that Ethereum’s daily transactions have been in over 16 months, showing a return to the blockchain that seemed previously abandoned. Ethereum Daily Transactions Cross 1.7 Million According to data from the on-chain data aggregation website, Nansen, the Ethereum daily transaction count has spiked by almost 50% over the last few days. The week had begun with the daily transaction count sitting at 1.2 million on Monday. However, by Wednesday, this figure was already changing rapidly to reach new yearly peaks. Related Reading: Extended Wave 5 Scenario Puts Bitcoin Price Above $300,000 With Step-Like Structure In Place As the Ethereum price rose above $2,400, so did participation on the blockchain, leading daily transactions to rise to 1.729 million. This sharp spike has led to the highest level so far in 2025, and is the first time since January 2024 that the daily transactions has crossed the 1.7 million mark. At the same time, there was also an unusual spike in the daily active addresses, which rose by almost 50% as well in the same time period. The daily active addresses rose from 345,406 addresses to 593,637 addresses in the space of four days. All of these have happened as the Ethereum price has recovered, suggesting that the spike in on-chain participation is actually more from investors buying than selling. If this trend continues, then it could send the Ethereum price soaring higher from here. Sell Volume Begins Dominating ETH Price In contrast to the rise in Ethereum on-chain participation, there has also been an increase in the on-chain sell volume compared to the buy volume. Nansen data points out that in the $168.37 million on-chain buy volume recorded in a 24-hour period, approximately $78.15 million was going toward buys, while a little over $90 million was from sellers. Related Reading: Ethereum Not Out Of The Woods Yet: Why Another 30% Crash To $1,800 Is Coming Furthermore, when it comes to individual transactions involved in buying and selling Ethereum, the sellers remain in the lead. There were more than 52,000 buy transactions recorded during this period, with around 24,300 buyers. While the sell transactions ran up towards 74,000, with sellers at more than 32,000. This shows a higher percentage of sellers compared to buyers, which would explain why the price has been unable to reach other support levels. This rise in the selling volume suggests that the buys are not enough to absorb the selling volume. This could fight off any buying momentum that could lead to a price recovery and keep the Ethereum price down while the crypto market struggles to find its footing. Ethereum is currently trading in a period of subdued price movement, reflecting broader consolidation across the crypto asset market. At the time of writing, ETH is trading around $2,423, marking a slight 0.9% daily decrease and standing more than 50% below its all-time high of $4,878. This stagnation has coincided with a broader lack of catalysts to drive a sustained rally, leaving traders cautious about Ethereum’s near-term trajectory. Despite this lack of price momentum, network activity on Ethereum tells a different story. Related Reading: Ethereum Reclaims $2,444 Level – Bullish Continuation In Focus Ethereum On-Chain Metrics Point to Increased Network Engagement According to CryptoQuant analyst Carmelo Alemán, the number of confirmed transactions on the Ethereum network recently spiked to 1,750,940, making it the third-highest daily transaction count in its history. Alemán notes this trend may signal underlying usage strength, even as market participants wait for a more significant price response. Alemán’s analysis focuses on Ethereum’s “Transaction Count (Total)” metric, which captures all forms of activity, including ETH transfers, smart contract executions, and interactions with decentralized applications and DeFi protocols. The recent surge reverses a months-long downtrend and represents the highest transaction count since January 14, when Ethereum recorded 1.96 million transactions. According to Alemán, this spike may be driven by increased arbitrage, trading activity, and interactions with Layer 2 networks, which continue to absorb substantial transaction volume. Platforms like Arbitrum and Optimism remain key contributors to Ethereum’s broader usage. He further points out that, despite ETH price volatility within the $2,100–$2,880 range in recent weeks, the uptick in network traffic may hint at early-stage accumulation or renewed DeFi interest. This dynamic, while not immediately reflected in the asset’s valuation, suggests that Ethereum’s core infrastructure continues to see meaningful use. Speculative Behavior and Exchange Flows Raise Short-Term Concerns Separately, another CryptoQuant analyst, Amr Taha, has examined Ethereum’s recent technical setup from a derivatives market perspective. Taha highlights that ETH funding rates on Binance have shifted from negative to positive territory, a sign that leveraged long positions are building, which may reflect expectations of continued price upside. However, this shift also raises the potential for overextension, particularly if longs begin to dominate positioning. Related Reading: Ethereum Fakes Out Bears – Altcoin Rally Depends On Key Level Breakout Taha also references a recent retest of a key short-squeeze zone, during which market participants who had shorted ETH were forced to close positions, triggering rapid buy orders. Such moves can generate short-term surges, but they’re often followed by correction phases once speculative energy fades. Meanwhile, exchange data showed more than 177,000 ETH deposited on Binance over three days, indicating potential sell pressure or repositioning by large holders. Ethereum (ETH) has recorded strong gains over the past two weeks, rising from $2,111 on June 12 to $2,515 on June 25, reigniting hopes for a sustained bullish rally that could push the digital asset beyond the crucial $3,000 level. Ethereum Rally Marked By Shift In Dynamics According to a recent CryptoQuant Quicktake post by contributor Amr Taha, Ethereum’s latest rally has been accompanied by a notable shift in market dynamics – including a flip to positive funding rates, a potential short squeeze, and a rise in ETH inflows to Binance crypto exchange. Related Reading: Ethereum Breakout Imminent? Broadening Wedge Hints At $4,200 Surge Recent data from Binance reveals a significant shift in ETH funding rates from negative to positive. Positive funding rates typically indicate that traders are opening or holding leveraged long positions, reflecting expectations of further upside. However, rising funding rates may also raise the risk of a short-term price pullback if long positions become overextended. Data from CoinGlass shows that 68.15% of liquidations over the past 24 hours were long positions – highlighting this risk. Taha also emphasized the role of a short squeeze in Ethereum’s recent price surge and the increase in funding rates. As ETH’s price climbed, it retested the previous short-squeeze zone around $2,500. He explained: In that earlier event, short positions were forcibly closed by initiating aggressive market buy orders to cover their exposure, triggering a cascading effect known as a short squeeze. This dynamic occurs when traders who had bet against ETH (shorts) are forced to close their positions by aggressively buying back the asset to limit losses. Meanwhile, ETH inflows to Binance have also spiked. On-chain exchange data suggests that 177,000 ETH was deposited into Binance over a three-day period – an unusually high volume. Such a surge typically signals increased selling pressure or large-scale repositioning by major holders. Large transfers of ETH to exchanges often precede either potential sell-offs or liquidity provisioning. In conclusion, Taha noted that while a short-term correction may be likely, ETH’s breakout above $2,500 underscores the aggressive speculative activity driving its recent price action. Traders are advised to closely monitor funding rates and exchange flows for signs of an impending retracement. ETH Bulls Take The Charge Recent technical analysis suggests ETH may be gearing up for a breakout above the $2,800 resistance level. The asset also recently formed a golden cross on the daily chart, fuelling speculation that a new all-time high (ATH) could be within reach. Related Reading: Ethereum Bulls Wake Up: $4,000 Target Back on the Radar After Reclaiming Key Level That said, ETH is not entirely in the clear. Technical analyst Crypto Wave recently predicted that the cryptocurrency may revisit lower levels in the $1,700 to $1,950 range. At press time, ETH trades at $2,429, down 0.4% over the past 24 hours. Ethereum is trading at a critical level after reclaiming the $2,400 mark, showing resilience in the face of market-wide volatility. Bulls have managed to defend key support levels following a recent fakeout below $2,200, but momentum remains fragile as ETH struggles to establish a clear trend. Despite attempts to push higher, price action is consolidating near the mid-range, suggesting indecision among traders. However, fundamental strength continues to build beneath the surface. Related Reading: Ethereum Fakes Out Bears – Altcoin Rally Depends On Key Level Breakout Top analyst Ted Pillows highlighted a major on-chain development: the percentage of Ethereum supply being staked has reached a new all-time high. This milestone signals rising confidence among long-term holders and validators, who are increasingly locking up ETH to secure the network and earn yield. Elevated staking levels historically coincide with lower active supply and reduced sell pressure—an encouraging sign for bulls anticipating a breakout. As macroeconomic uncertainty and geopolitical risks persist, Ethereum’s price behavior at this level could determine whether the broader altcoin market finally ignites. For now, ETH sits at a technical and psychological crossroads, with both bulls and bears preparing for the next major move. All eyes are on staking data and price structure to guide what comes next. Ethereum Builds Bullish Momentum As Staking Hits All-Time High Ethereum has climbed 75% from its April lows, showing strong recovery and resilience in a volatile market. Despite this impressive rebound, ETH remains nearly 98% below its all-time high, leaving significant upside potential. Many analysts believe Ethereum could be gearing up for a rally that may trigger the long-awaited altseason. However, caution still lingers in the market due to ongoing global risks and macroeconomic uncertainty, including rising interest rates and geopolitical tensions. The growing optimism is supported by improving on-chain fundamentals. Ted Pillows highlighted a key metric showing that the percentage of Ethereum supply staked has reached a new all-time high of 29.02%. This steady increase in staked ETH reflects strong long-term conviction from holders, who are choosing to lock up their assets to support the network and earn yield rather than sell during market turbulence. Historically, high levels of staking reduce active circulating supply, which can ease sell pressure and fuel bullish price movements. Combined with technical strength and growing confidence among long-term investors, Ethereum appears well-positioned for a breakout, provided bulls can hold current levels and reclaim resistance zones. Related Reading: Ethereum Reclaims $2,444 Level – Bullish Continuation In Focus ETH Reclaims Key Level But Faces Resistance Ethereum (ETH) is showing renewed strength after bouncing from its April 2025 lows and reclaiming the $2,400 level. On the weekly chart, ETH is up over 10% this week, closing firmly above the 200-week simple moving average (SMA) at $2,437.52 — a key threshold that previously acted as both resistance and support in past cycles. Reclaiming this level is a bullish sign and shows that buyers are stepping back in after months of selling pressure. However, Ethereum now faces significant resistance around the $2,625–2,660 zone, where the 100-week and 50-week SMAs converge. This zone has historically served as a pivot for major price action, and a clear break above it would likely trigger a broader rally targeting the $2,800–$3,000 range. Volume has also picked up, signaling renewed interest, though it remains below early 2024 levels. This indicates cautious optimism among traders, especially as global macro uncertainty and geopolitical tensions continue to weigh on markets. Featured image from Dall-E, chart from TradingView
Ethereum price started a fresh increase above the $2,450 zone. ETH is now correcting gains from $2,520 and might slip to test the $2,320 zone. Ethereum started a fresh upward move above the $2,350 level. The price is trading above $2,400 and the 100-hourly Simple Moving Average. There was a break below a connecting bullish trend line with support at $2,450 on the hourly chart of ETH/USD (data feed via Kraken). The pair could start a fresh increase if it remains stable above the $2,320 zone in the near term. Ethereum Price Dips Below Support Ethereum price started a fresh increase above the $2,320 support level, like Bitcoin. ETH price was able to clear the $2,350 and $2,450 resistance levels to move into a positive zone. The bulls even pushed the price above the 76.4% Fib retracement level of the downward move from the $2,569 swing high to the $2,115 low. However, the bulls were active above the $2,500 level. A high was formed at $2,520 and the price is now correcting some gains. There was a move below the 23.6% Fib retracement level of the upward move from the $2,114 swing low to the $2,520 high. Besides, there was a break below a connecting bullish trend line with support at $2,450 on the hourly chart of ETH/USD. Ethereum price is now trading above $2,400 and the 100-hourly Simple Moving Average. On the upside, the price could face resistance near the $2,500 level. The next key resistance is near the $2,520 level. The first major resistance is near the $2,550 level. A clear move above the $2,550 resistance might send the price toward the $2,600 resistance. An upside break above the $2,600 resistance might call for more gains in the coming sessions. In the stated case, Ether could rise toward the $2,720 resistance zone or even $2,800 in the near term. More Losses In ETH? If Ethereum fails to clear the $2,520 resistance, it could start a fresh decline. Initial support on the downside is near the $2,400 level. The first major support sits near the $2,320 zone. A clear move below the $2,320 support might push the price toward the $2,250 support. Any more losses might send the price toward the $2,200 support level in the near term. The next key support sits at $2,150. Technical Indicators Hourly MACD – The MACD for ETH/USD is losing momentum in the bullish zone. Hourly RSI – The RSI for ETH/USD is now below the 50 zone. Major Support Level – $2,320 Major Resistance Level – $2,520
Ethereum is back in focus after reclaiming the critical $2,444 resistance, following a sharp recovery from its breakdown below the $2,200 mark. The move has revived bullish sentiment, with many analysts calling for Ethereum to lead the long-anticipated altseason. The swift rebound caught traders off guard, reinforcing the view that the recent drop was nothing more than a fakeout. Related Reading: Ethereum Gears Up For Breakout Above $2,800 – Bullish Momentum Builds Top analyst M-log1 commented on the reversal, stating that ETH is back in range. His analysis points to the idea that Ethereum’s price action has successfully shaken out weak hands while setting the stage for a bullish continuation. If momentum holds, ETH could attempt a move toward the higher range around $2,600–$2,800, a zone that has consistently acted as a battleground in previous cycles. Ethereum’s role as the leading altcoin makes its performance critical for broader market direction. A confirmed breakout here could trigger renewed confidence across the altcoin market and open the door for the long-awaited altseason. For now, bulls are in control—but Ethereum must hold current levels and push higher to keep the momentum alive and avoid another retracement into bearish territory. Ethereum Holds the Line: The Key to Unlocking Altseason? Ethereum surged following the announcement of a ceasefire between Israel and Iran, easing geopolitical tensions and triggering a sharp rebound across the crypto market. ETH, which had briefly broken down below the $2,200 mark, has since reclaimed key resistance near $2,444—indicating growing strength among bulls. While buyers initially lost control during the wave of uncertainty, they are now regaining momentum as the entire market braces for the next decisive move. Despite rising optimism, the macroeconomic backdrop remains fragile. Recession fears in the U.S. continue to build as leading indicators flash warning signs, and tightening global financial conditions may pressure risk assets in the coming months. Yet in the crypto space, focus is shifting toward Ethereum’s performance as the likely spark for the long-awaited altseason. M-log1 shared his view, saying, “ETH is back in range. Nice fake out after all.” His technical analysis suggests that Ethereum has reentered its consolidation zone, a move that could signal strength if followed by continued upward momentum. “If we want alts to do well,” he added, “we want ETH to move towards the higher range here and break out as soon as Uncle Bitcoin makes a new ATH.” With Bitcoin hovering just 4% below its all-time high, Ethereum is now in a critical position. A sustained breakout from current levels could trigger renewed risk appetite across the altcoin market, creating the perfect setup for a rotation. For now, Ethereum is holding the line—but it must maintain this bullish structure and break above resistance to lead the next phase of growth. All eyes remain locked on ETH as it charts the course for what comes next. Related Reading: Chainlink Reclaims Key Structure – Quiet Accumulation Could Fuel $25–$30 Surge ETH Regains Strength Near Key Resistance Levels Ethereum is showing signs of renewed momentum, trading at $2,451 after bouncing back strongly from a brief breakdown below the $2,200 level. The chart shows ETH has reclaimed the short-term descending trendline and is now testing major moving averages, with the 50-day SMA at $2,254, the 100-day at $2,639, and the 200-day just overhead at $2,780. This confluence of resistance above makes the $2,500–$2,800 zone a key battleground. Volume appears to be picking up alongside the price, signaling increased interest as ETH reclaims structure. This rally was partly fueled by the broader market response to geopolitical easing in the Middle East, but the technical setup now holds independent bullish potential. The recent price action forms what could be a classic “fakeout” and re-entry into range — a pattern that often precedes strong breakouts. To confirm a trend reversal, Ethereum needs to push and hold above the $2,650–$2,800 resistance band. Related Reading: Ethereum Whale Loads Up: $422M In ETH Bought In Under a Month If bulls can sustain this pressure, a run toward the March highs near $3,200 becomes increasingly likely. Crypto analyst Crypto Wave has indicated that Ethereum could witness another significant price crash, presenting a bearish outlook for the altcoin. This price crash is expected to mark Wave C of a corrective move, with ETH dropping to as low as $1,800. Why Ethereum Could Still Drop To As Low As $1,800 In an X post, Crypto Wave declared that the primary expectation remains that Ethereum will see one more leg down in wave c of wave 2, targeting the zone between $1,950 and $1,700. Specifically, his accompanying chart showed that the largest altcoin by market cap could drop to around $1,800. Related Reading: Ethereum Price Crash To $2,100 Triggers Fear, But Why Are Analysts Predicting A Rally To $6,000? The crypto analyst revealed that Ethereum has already hit the 0.5 fib retracement at $2,100, which is the minimum target for a Wave 2 correction. However, structurally, he claimed that this drop still looks like wave A only. Crypto Wave further explained that these ABC corrections are always three-part moves, and that is what he sees forming now for ETH. The broader crypto market, led by Bitcoin, has bounced back following the ceasefire between Israel and Iran. Ethereum has also rebounded, having dropped to as low as $2,100 last week. However, Crypto Wave suggested that the current market sentiment doesn’t invalidate this bearish setup for ETH and that it could still witness a deeper sell-off. The crypto analyst alluded to the fourth quarter of last year when Ethereum was underperforming heavily while many altcoins rallied. In line with this, he remarked that there could be a repeat of this scenario. However, on the other hand, Crypto Wave claimed that if ETH breaks above $2,880 impulsively, especially in one clean wave, then the correction could be over. He added that this would also put the altcoin in the early stages of a new bull cycle. 2021 Pattern Playing Out For ETH In an X post, crypto analyst Merlijn drew similarities between the current Ethereum price action and that of 2021. He stated that the 2021 playbook is repeating, with ETH having a dead count bounce, then a final retest before the parabolic leg. The analyst expects the altcoin to retest the $2,000 level before the massive move to the upside. Related Reading: Market Expert Who Predicted Ethereum Price Crash At $2,800 Reveals What’s Coming Next His accompanying chart showed that Ethereum could rally to as high as $11,000 on this uptrend. Merlijn had remarked that ETH has more firepower this time around than in 2021, which is why the altcoin could witness such a parabolic move to the upside. Interestingly, based on the chart, this rally is expected to happen between now and year-end. At the time of writing, the Ethereum price is trading at around $2,480, up over 2% in the last 24 hours, according to data from CoinMarketCap. Featured image from iStock, chart from Tradingview.com
Ethereum has bounced back sharply, reclaiming the $2,400 level after a volatile week marked by geopolitical tensions in the Middle East. Last weekend, ETH briefly dipped below the $2,200 mark as panic selling swept across global markets following US attacks on Iranian nuclear facilities. The sell-off triggered a sharp fakeout that briefly pushed ETH out of its multi-week trading range. However, bulls are regaining control, and Ethereum’s price action now signals the early stages of a potential recovery rally. Related Reading: Ethereum Gears Up For Breakout Above $2,800 – Bullish Momentum Builds Top analyst Ted Pillows shared a technical analysis highlighting that Ethereum is reclaiming the key $2,444 resistance level — a zone that previously acted as both support and resistance throughout May and June. If bulls maintain momentum above this threshold, it could open the door for a bullish continuation toward the higher end of the established range. While uncertainty remains due to lingering macroeconomic and geopolitical risks, Ethereum’s current structure shows renewed strength. Market participants are watching closely, as ETH often serves as a leading indicator for broader altcoin performance. Holding above $2,400 could become a catalyst for a broader rally, especially if Bitcoin continues to stabilize and approach new all-time highs. Ethereum Battles For Breakout As Market Awaits Direction Ethereum is trading at a critical juncture after a turbulent week of price action driven by geopolitical instability and macroeconomic uncertainty. Following a sharp drop below $2,200 amid panic selling over the Middle East conflict escalation, ETH has recovered significantly, now hovering around the $2,444 level. This price zone is key, not only as a technical resistance but also as a sentiment marker for traders watching for signs of a trend reversal or confirmation of a deeper pullback. Analysts remain divided on what comes next. Some believe Ethereum’s recent recovery could signal the beginning of a bullish continuation, especially if price action holds and pushes above the upper range levels near $2,600. A breakout from this zone would indicate renewed strength and could set the tone for a broader altcoin rally, particularly as Ethereum often leads sector momentum. Others, however, warn that the recovery might be short-lived, and a retreat to lower demand zones could occur if macro conditions worsen. Ted Pillows notes that Ethereum is currently reclaiming the $2,444 resistance level. He emphasizes that bullish continuation into the range highs is necessary to confirm breakout strength. Until then, traders are watching closely, as any rejection at this level could shift momentum back to the downside. With global tensions and monetary tightening from central banks continuing to influence markets, the coming weeks may determine whether ETH enters a new uptrend or retreats further into its long-standing consolidation range. Related Reading: Chainlink Reclaims Key Structure – Quiet Accumulation Could Fuel $25–$30 Surge ETH Faces Long-Term Resistance The weekly chart of Ethereum (ETH/USD) shows a strong recovery from the $2,189 low, with ETH currently trading at $2,463 — a 10.5% gain so far this week. This sharp bounce comes after a fakeout below the $2,200 level and suggests renewed buying pressure following recent geopolitical volatility. However, price is now testing a major confluence zone formed by the 50-week ($2,660), 100-week ($2,625), and 200-week ($2,437) simple moving averages. This cluster of moving averages is acting as resistance, capping ETH’s upside momentum. Historically, when Ethereum breaks through these long-term trend lines, a significant trend continuation follows. But for now, bulls must decisively clear this $2,450–$2,660 zone to confirm a breakout and open the door toward the $3,000 psychological level. Related Reading: Bitcoin Buy-Side Pressure Surges: Taker Buy Volume Spikes Sharply Volume has slightly increased, indicating rising interest, but the rejection wicks from prior weekly candles suggest the market remains indecisive. As long as ETH holds above the 200-week SMA ($2,437), the structure remains constructive, but a breakdown below it would likely reintroduce bearish sentiment. After suffering a major price crash back during the weekend, the Ethereum price has enjoyed an over 10% bounce that has put it back above major support levels. However, even with the recovery, the altcoin sits on shaky ground with geopolitical and macroeconomic factors still unstable. On the charts, there is also uncertainty as the second-largest cryptocurrency by market cap has failed to make any definitive moves from here, showing inconsistencies in movement. Ethereum Price Struggling At EMA Crypto analyst Swallow Academy noted that the Ethereum price has returned to trading at its Exponential Moving Average (EMA) earlier in the week after bouncing from its weekend lows. This has been referred to as the level of interest and sits around the $2,400 level, which has served as major support in the past. Related Reading: Analyst Says XRP Is Moving According To Plan, Here’s Why $1.90 Is Important The harsh drop from the weekend that pushed ETH from $2,500 to $2,150 has no doubt dented sentiment and sparked caution among investors. But the retest of the EMA at $2,400 suggests that buyers are still exerting their force and have been pushing up the price. Given these recent developments, the crypto analyst explains that it is currently a waiting game for the Ethereum price. From here, it could go either way, as confirmation is needed for which direction it is headed next. A breakout from here could move it back above the $2,800 resistance. However, a crash could be confirmation of rejection, sending Ethereum spiraling back toward lows at $2,000. Mapping Out Next Steps As the Ethereum price continues to show signs of continuation, crypto analysts have begun to map out where the altcoin might be headed next. Mister Spread pointed to the fact that Ethereum had actually shown a bullish Power of 3 (PO3), consisting of accumulation, deviation, and expansion. Related Reading: Ethereum Price Crash To $2,100 Triggers Fear, But Why Are Analysts Predicting A Rally To $6,000? The accumulation phase has been completed, and is now in the phase of deviation, explaining the price crash. Now, the price seems to already be breaking out of the deviation box, suggesting that the expansion phase will be coming sooner than expected. Once the expansion phase is in motion, the crypto analyst expects the Ethereum price to move back into the supply area of $2,800-$3,000. However, if the price fails to climb and falls back below $2,100, then this bullish thesis would be invalidated. Featured image from Dall.E, chart from TradingView.com
Ethereum price started a fresh increase above the $2,350 zone. ETH is now showing positive signs and might aim for a move above the $2,550 zone. Ethereum started a fresh upward move above the $2,320 level. The price is trading above $2,350 and the 100-hourly Simple Moving Average. There is a connecting bullish trend line forming with support at $2,440 on the hourly chart of ETH/USD (data feed via Kraken). The pair could start a fresh increase if it settles above the $2,550 resistance zone in the near term. Ethereum Price Eyes More Gains Ethereum price started a fresh increase above the $2,250 support level, like Bitcoin. ETH price was able to clear the $2,320 and $2,350 resistance levels to move into a positive zone. The bulls even pushed the price above the 61.8% Fib retracement level of the downward move from the $2,568 swing high to the $2,115 low. The price is now facing hurdles near the $2,500 zone. Ethereum price is now trading above $2,450 and the 100-hourly Simple Moving Average. The price is now stuck near the 76.4% Fib retracement level of the downward move from the $2,568 swing high to the $2,115 low. On the upside, the price could face resistance near the $2,480 level. The next key resistance is near the $2,500 level. Another Drop In ETH? If Ethereum fails to clear the $2,550 resistance, it could start a fresh decline. Initial support on the downside is near the $2,440 level and the trend line. The first major support sits near the $2,390 zone. A clear move below the $2,390 support might push the price toward the $2,310 support. Any more losses might send the price toward the $2,220 support level in the near term. The next key support sits at $2,150. Ethereum has experienced a strong comeback after weeks of uncertainty and bearish momentum. Following a sharp breakdown below its long-standing consolidation range, ETH found support near the $2,100 level and has since surged 15% from Sunday’s low. The move comes amid improving market sentiment after a ceasefire agreement between Israel and Iran helped ease geopolitical tensions, while broader macroeconomic conditions remain in flux. Related Reading: Bitcoin Buy-Side Pressure Surges: Taker Buy Volume Spikes Sharply This recent bounce has placed Ethereum back into a critical technical zone, where bulls are once again attempting to reclaim control. After spending much of May and June in a sideways range, ETH is showing signs of renewed strength, fueling optimism that the next decisive move could be to the upside. Top analyst Mister Crypto shared a bullish technical outlook, highlighting that Ethereum is getting ready for a breakout. According to his view, the current price structure and momentum suggest ETH may be preparing to challenge previous resistance levels and enter a new phase of expansion. With on-chain activity starting to pick up and broader market confidence slowly returning, Ethereum could be positioning itself as the key altcoin to lead a potential rally in the coming weeks. Ethereum Reclaims Strength Ethereum has surged more than 15% from Sunday’s lows, recovering from sharp losses triggered by geopolitical tensions in the Middle East. The announcement of a ceasefire between Israel and Iran sent a wave of relief through global markets, with ETH leading the charge among major altcoins. After briefly losing key support levels, bulls are regaining momentum as Ethereum reclaims price levels last seen before the breakdown. This rebound marks a crucial moment for ETH, as it tests the strength of current market sentiment. While macroeconomic uncertainty continues—driven by growing fears of a U.S. recession, rising bond yields, and a cautious Federal Reserve—Ethereum appears to be consolidating for a potential breakout. The broader crypto market remains on edge, with altcoins underperforming Bitcoin, and many investors watching Ethereum closely as the likely catalyst for the long-awaited altseason. According to Mister Crypto, Ethereum is now preparing for a breakout above the $2,800 resistance. This level represents a major psychological and structural barrier, and a decisive move beyond it could redefine ETH’s trajectory for the remainder of the year. Volume is returning, and on-chain data shows rising confidence from long-term holders, signaling a potential shift in trend. If bulls succeed in pushing ETH past this zone, it could trigger renewed interest across the altcoin market and usher in a wave of fresh capital. As Ethereum flirts with this breakout level, its price action in the coming days may very well set the tone for the next phase of the crypto cycle. Related Reading: Ethereum Whale Loads Up: $422M In ETH Bought In Under a Month ETH Testing Resistance After 15% Surge Ethereum (ETH) is currently trading near $2,414 after rebounding sharply from the $2,100 zone, a level revisited last Sunday during heightened geopolitical tensions. The 8-hour chart shows a clean V-shaped recovery, with bulls pushing the price through the 200 SMA ($2,326), reclaiming short-term control. Volume surged on the way up, confirming strong buying interest during the bounce. However, ETH now faces a test near the $2,450–$2,500 zone, where the 50 and 100 SMAs converge. These moving averages, currently acting as resistance, previously played a key role during Ethereum’s consolidation in early June. A successful breakout above this range would open the door to a retest of the $2,700–$2,800 levels, as suggested by top analysts like Mister Crypto. Related Reading: Bitcoin Battles Key Support: Daily EMA-100 Must Hold to Prevent Deep Correction For now, price action remains in a neutral consolidation range with a slight bullish tilt. If Ethereum holds above the 200 SMA while building support above $2,400, the bullish case strengthens. However, failure to break above $2,500 could trigger another pullback toward the $2,300 level. The next few sessions will be crucial to determine whether ETH continues its breakout attempt or enters another phase of sideways consolidation amid broader market uncertainty. Ethereum is once again aligning with the broader crypto market recovery as its price begins to reclaim ground lost during recent downturns. After briefly dropping to a local low of $2,177 over the weekend, the second-largest cryptocurrency by market capitalization has climbed back above $2,400. At the time of writing, Ethereum is trading at approximately $2,412, though it still reflects a 2.9% loss over the past week and a 2.4% dip over the last two weeks. Amid this price performance, a CryptoQuant analyst has assessed Ethereum’s interaction with the 50-day Exponential Moving Average (EMA), a commonly used trend indicator, and came up with an outlook on where the asset is likely headed. Related Reading: Ethereum Whale Loads Up: $422M In ETH Bought In Under a Month Ethereum Key Resistance Levels and Historical Price Patterns According to a recent post by CryptoQuant contributor İbrahim COŞAR, Ethereum is approaching a pivotal moment that could define its next price trajectory. The analyst believes that a decisive break above the 50-day EMA could propel ETH to the $2,800 level, with a further push toward $4,000 if resistance levels are breached. In his analysis, İbrahim COŞAR emphasizes that Ethereum must close consistently above the $2,500–$2,600 range to confirm a breakout. Past data suggests that ETH has previously moved sharply after breaking out of similar consolidation zones. Specifically, in an earlier phase, Ethereum oscillated between $2,100 and $2,800 before moving strongly to $4,000. A similar move could unfold if ETH can surpass the $2,800 resistance in the current market cycle. COŞAR also noted that Ethereum’s 50-week EMA remains a longer-term resistance barrier. A breach of this technical ceiling, combined with strong daily closes above short-term resistance levels, could indicate the beginning of a more aggressive upward trend. However, the analyst advised caution, pointing out that macroeconomic and geopolitical events, particularly those involving the US, Israel, and Iran, could trigger market volatility. He recommended avoiding excessive leverage during such periods. Additional Technical Perspectives Point to Further Gains Javon Marks, another crypto market analyst, presented a more aggressive outlook for Ethereum. In a recent post, Marks observed that Ethereum has broken above a descending trend line, which historically aligns with upward price continuation. He projected that Ethereum could see an 81% gain to reach a target price of $4,811.71. Furthermore, if momentum builds, an additional rally could extend gains by another 77%, pushing prices toward $8,557.68. These projections are not guaranteed, but they highlight growing optimism in Ethereum’s market structure, especially among traders who base strategies on technical chart formations. Ethereum’s price action in the past 24 hours has been characterized by a fall toward $2,100 before rebounding to the upside very quickly. Ethereum’s price dropped to $2,130 in the past 24 hours on crypto exchange Coinbase amidst a broader fall in the crypto industry, which also saw Bitcoin break below $100,000 very briefly. Despite the sudden Ethereum price correction, analysts have presented arguments that hint at a strong Ethereum rally once this current downturn is complete. Notably, their projections are not short-term, and one of them puts Ethereum’s next major target around $6,000. Wave A Complete, But Downside Likely Before Rally The first detailed analysis came from @CryptoWaveV, a trader who uses Elliott Wave Theory to forecast market structure. According to his recent post, Ethereum’s price has now completed what he considers to be wave A of a larger corrective structure. His chart shows Ethereum breaking down from a high around $2,900 and falling almost directly into a Fibonacci-based support zone between $2,134 and $1,957. Related Reading: Ethereum Bullish Wave Towards ATH Coming? Here Are The Targets Now that the Wave A pattern is complete, the prediction is a short-term bounce to as high as $2,792 as part of a wave B retracement. However, this upward move would likely be temporary before another Wave C leg downward, which could drive the Ethereum price to as low as $1,706 before a meaningful bottom is confirmed. This level is what the analyst refers to as his “ideal buy zone” for long-term accumulation. Although the short-term view includes price crashes, a full bullish impulse will resume once this corrective phase is complete. Wyckoff Structure Points $6,000 ETH Price Merlijn, a popular analyst on X, shared a contrasting yet converging perspective. In this case, the analyst’s outlook is based on Wyckoff’s accumulation framework. Merlijn stated, “Ethereum: Wyckoff says go.” Related Reading: The 5 Bullish Cases That Says Ethereum Price Could Reach $10,000 In 2025 According to the daily price chart that followed his analysis, the analyst showed that the crypto had already completed the spring and test phases, which are both components of a Wyckoff accumulation pattern. What comes next, according to the Wyckoff method, is the markup phase. The chart Merlijn posted aligns with this outlook. The chart projected that Ethereum will reclaim a horizontal range between $2,150 and $2,450, followed by a steady progression above $3,850, and then another strong move past $4,800, before ultimately culminating around $6,800 to $7,000. This bullish setup suggests that while the recent dip to $2,100 might have shaken confidence, it may have served a larger structural purpose. The spring and test patterns imply a final shakeout of weak hands, clearing the path for long-term buyers to step in. Finally, the outlooks from both analysts converge on a six-month to one-year trajectory that could see Ethereum breaking into the $6,000 range, if not higher. At the time of writing, Ethereum is trading at $2,420, up by 7.4% in the past 24 hours. Featured image from Getty Images, chart from Tradingview.com
Ethereum has experienced significant volatility in recent days, driven largely by escalating geopolitical tensions in the Middle East. After breaking down from the range that had held since early May, ETH fell sharply to $2,100, triggering widespread concern among investors. The breakdown was largely attributed to the market’s reaction to the US attack on Iranian nuclear facilities, which escalated the conflict between Israel and Iran. Related Reading: Bitcoin Battles Key Support: Daily EMA-100 Must Hold to Prevent Deep Correction However, markets quickly responded to positive developments. Ethereum rebounded strongly above the $2,400 level following reports that Iran and Israel had agreed to a ceasefire, temporarily easing global risk sentiment. This relief rally brought new optimism to the Ethereum market, especially amid signs of institutional confidence. According to data shared by top analyst Ted Pillows, a major whale or institutional entity purchased another $8.91 million worth of ETH, continuing an aggressive accumulation streak. Over the past three weeks, this same entity has reportedly bought $422 million in Ethereum, signaling strong conviction despite recent market stress. This wave of accumulation suggests that long-term players may view the current price zone as a key opportunity, reinforcing the idea that Ethereum could be building a base for its next major move once broader conditions stabilize. Ethereum Surges As Ceasefire Ignites Market Optimism Ethereum surged over 14% following reports of a ceasefire agreement between Israel and Iran, providing a much-needed relief rally after weeks of geopolitical tension and uncertainty. The news sparked a wave of bullish momentum across the market, with ETH rebounding sharply from recent lows near $2,100 to trade firmly above the $2,400 mark. Bulls, who had lost control amid panic selling, are now showing signs of strength as the market prepares for its next decisive move. Despite this rebound, caution remains. The broader macroeconomic environment continues to tighten, with rising concerns over a potential US recession, high Treasury yields, and sustained hawkishness from the Federal Reserve. These factors could weigh on risk assets in the weeks ahead, putting Ethereum’s rally to the test. Nonetheless, optimism is building, especially around the possibility of the long-awaited altseason—one that many believe will be led by Ethereum. Adding fuel to this narrative is the growing trend of whale accumulation. According to insights shared by analyst Ted Pillows, a major whale or institutional entity has just acquired another $8.91 million worth of ETH. This purchase adds to a staggering $422 million in Ethereum accumulated over the past three weeks. Such aggressive buying suggests that large players are positioning themselves for a major move ahead, likely expecting Ethereum to be at the forefront of the next market cycle. As ETH consolidates above key levels, the accumulation trend could act as a foundational force supporting higher prices, especially if macro and geopolitical risks stabilize. Related Reading: Ethereum Holds Critical Support – $2,350 Level Could Define The Next Move ETH Reclaims $2,400 Following Sharp Rebound Ethereum has reclaimed the $2,400 level after a swift rebound from a breakdown near $2,100. The recent candle structure on the 3-day chart shows a strong wick to the downside, followed by a recovery, reflecting the impact of geopolitical developments, most notably the ceasefire between Iran and Israel. This bounce prevented a deeper selloff and has brought Ethereum back above a key psychological level. Looking at the chart, ETH remains under pressure from the 100-day and 200-day moving averages, currently acting as resistance around the $2,638 and $2,779 zones. Price also recently broke a short-term descending trendline and is now attempting to consolidate above it. This suggests the potential for a trend reversal if bulls can sustain momentum and push through the moving average cluster. Related Reading: Solana Cracks Below Key Structure – Head And Shoulders Breakdown Points To $106 Volume remains subdued but shows signs of recovery, signaling early interest returning after the fear-driven flush. Ethereum just pulled a surprise upward move after dipping below key support and its rising trendline. The sudden rebound caught bears off guard, fueling speculation about whether this was a mere fakeout or the start of a fresh rally. Fakeout Fools The Bears: Ethereum Reclaims Critical Support In a recent post on X, UniChartz drew attention to a classic fakeout move by ETH, where the price momentarily dipped below a significant support level and an ascending trendline, only to reclaim both shortly after. This sudden reversal disrupted bearish expectations, especially for those anticipating a deeper drop. Instead of confirming a breakdown, ETH snapped back above the key zone with notable strength, shaking up short-term sentiment. Related Reading: Ethereum Price Headed For Crash To $2,000 With Current Price Action According to UniChartz, this kind of false breakdown often traps bearish traders and can act as fuel for an upward move if momentum builds. The reclaim of the support zone is a strong technical signal, indicating that bulls are still in control for now. It not only invalidated the bearish thesis but also injected fresh optimism into the market, hinting at the possibility of a short-term rally. Still, UniChartz cautioned that follow-through is critical. If ETH can hold above this reclaimed area and form higher lows, it could set the stage for continued upside. However, any weakness or failure to maintain the level could lead to another shakeout. From Breakdown To Breakout? Key Levels In Focus After reclaiming the previously lost support level, Ethereum is showing signs of strength, but whether it can sustain this momentum remains the key question. The bounce has surprised many, especially after what looked like a clean break below a rising trendline and horizontal support. The current price action suggests bulls are regaining control, but the road ahead is lined with several resistance hurdles that could stall or reverse the advance. Related Reading: Is Ethereum Staging A Repeat Of 2021? Here’s Why A 200% Surge Could Follow The first level to watch lies around the $2,858 level, where Ethereum previously struggled to maintain traction. This area marks a confluence of short-term resistance from prior price rejections. A decisive close above this could open the door for a push toward $3,360, a level that has historically acted as a pivot zone and may attract both profit-taking and fresh short positions. Beyond that, the $3,659 level stands as a key psychological and technical barrier. This region is where bears have previously reasserted control, and reclaiming it would be a statement of intent from the bulls. Only a sustained break above this zone, ideally on strong volume, would signal a shift back toward a more dominant uptrend, potentially eyeing $4,100 and beyond. For now, the reclaimed support offers a solid base, but Ethereum’s upward journey depends on the bulls defending it convincingly and clearing these major resistance zones with strength and consistency.
