Odelia Torteman, the Director of Corporate Adoption at XRPL Commons, has revealed that BlackRock and Mastercard are showing interest in the XRP Ledger (XRPL). She also explained how the network is the right fit for these institutions as they look to move on-chain.  BlackRock and Mastercard Are Showing Interest In XRP XRP pundit Xaif shared a video in which Torteman confirmed that BlackRock and Mastercard were showing interest in the XRP Ledger, signaling that they could consider launching a product on the network. She also noted that the XRPL was designed from the beginning to support several use cases, which could align with these institutions’goals.  Related Reading: Ripple CEO Breaks Down How XRP Ledger DeFi Users Are Protected From Attacks Like KelpDAO Torteman further remarked that the XRP Ledger has pre-embedded features that support enterprise-grade use cases. She alluded to the pre-built AMM, DEX, and other features that developers are currently working on as part of the institutional DeFi roadmap, which could help onboard institutions such as BlackRock and Mastercard.  It is worth noting that the XRP Ledger recently added zero-knowledge (ZK) proof technology, which XRPL Commons announced in partnership with Boundless. XRPL Commons stated that on-chain privacy was the missing piece for institutional adoption, indicating that the network could now see greater adoption with the addition of on-chain privacy. BlackRock and Mastercard already have ties to the XRP ecosystem through their collaboration with Ripple. Last year, Ripple and Securitize, the issuer of BlackRock’s BUIDL fund, partnered to add RLUSD as a stablecoin off-ramp for the tokenized fund. Meanwhile, Ripple has collaborated with Mastercard for its Crypto Partner program. The firm revealed that the collaboration includes testing RLUSD on the XRPL to enable faster, regulated stablecoin settlement for Mastercard transactions.  Companies Set To Drive The Next Wave Of Adoption Xaif shared another video in which Ripple’s President Monica Long signaled that companies will drive the next wave of adoption for XRP and XRPL. She highlighted that her firm is already working with several partners who use its infrastructure for activities such as dollar clearing.  Related Reading: Ripple’s Tokenization Bet: Will XRP Price Explode As It Enters This Trillion-Dollar Industry? She also revealed that they are seeing more use cases for internal treasury management, with companies and banks looking for more efficient ways to move money across different entities in real time across the world. The Ripple president also opined that there is a significant use case with their Ripple Treasury product.  Notably, Ripple recently integrated XRP and RLUSD into the Ripple Treasury management system, enabling institutions to use these crypto assets in the same environment. Long highlighted how the focus for these institutions is to be able to manage payments efficiently, which is something crypto assets and stablecoins help with.  At the time of writing, the XRP price is trading at around $1.42, up in the last 24 hours, according to data from CoinMarketCap. The Securities and Exchange Commission said on April 13 that certain crypto user interfaces tied to XRP other digital assets can avoid broker-dealer registration when they stay out of custody, order routing, and trade execution. Related Reading: Dollar’s Shrinking Value Adds Fuel To XRP Bull Case: Finance Expert The staff statement is temporary and will be withdrawn in five years unless the Commission acts first, but it gives developers a clearer lane for now. XRPL Gets A Lift From The New Guidance That shift matters for the XRP Ledger because the network already includes a built-in decentralized exchange, along with order books, automated market makers, and cross-currency routing. XRPL documentation says those features are native to the ledger, which means developers can build on top of existing market infrastructure instead of creating a separate exchange from scratch. Extremely good news for DeFi on XRP! Why? We have XRP protocol level Decentralized Exchange, with orderbooks and automated market makers and native cross currency transaction routing. Means, providing just access to the XRP DEX doesn’t require registration. Because you don’t… https://t.co/Z8U5tsX02O — Vet (@Vet_X0) April 13, 2026 Some analysts say the setup aligns closely with the SEC’s new language. XRPL validator Vet argued that simply giving users access to the XRP DEX should not trigger registration, since the interface is not holding funds or carrying out trades itself. On X, Vet called the development “extremely good news for DeFi on XRP,” citing the XRP Ledger’s built-in design. That reading matches the general direction of the SEC statement, but it is still an interpretation, not a formal exemption. Reports point to the ledger’s design as a reason XRP DeFi could move faster than many other ecosystems. Because the network already handles routing and settlement at the protocol level, front-end builders may have less work to do than on chains where liquidity is split across many separate venues. What The SEC Drew The Line Around The SEC staff statement is narrow. It covers interfaces that let users prepare crypto asset securities transactions through a self-custodial wallet, while staying away from solicitation, custody, trade execution, and order routing. It also says such providers should rely on objective, pre-disclosed parameters, offer users control over defaults, and disclose material facts about fees, conflicts, and the limits of the interface. Related Reading: TRUMP Buying Frenzy Builds Ahead Of Mar-A-Lago Power Event The statement goes further by saying a covered interface should not comment on routes, claim a route is best, or exercise discretion over the market data and transaction details it shows. It also says the provider’s compensation must be fixed and product-agnostic, with no payments tied to the size or outcome of individual trades. Those conditions matter because they set the boundary between a software tool and a broker-like service. For XRP developers, the point is not that the SEC has blessed the XRPL outright. The point is that the agency’s staff is now describing a category of front ends that may be able to operate without broker-dealer registration if they stay inside strict limits. Bullish sentiment towards Hyperliquid is again on the rise, with crypto whales accumulating the perp DEX token. The first HYPE ETF in the U.S. could launch soon, which is also contributing to this bullish sentiment.  Why Bullish Sentiment Towards Hyperliquid Is On The Rise Crypto whales are again massively accumulating Hyperliquid, which has sparked the bullish sentiment towards the perp DEX token. In an X post, on-chain analytics platform Lookonchain revealed that BitMEX co-founder Arthur Hayes bought 26,022 HYPE, worth $1.1 million again, after nearly 3 months. Related Reading: Here’s Why The Hyperliquid Price Is Exploding Again Hayes is one of many crypto whales Lookonchain has flagged as currently buying HYPE. The platform revealed that a particular whale had deposited 7.86 million USDC into Hyperliquid to buy 200,042 HYPE. Another whale, Cooker, also bought 50,751 HYPE for $1.99 million at an average price of $38.5.  Such massive accumulation among crypto whales typically precedes a price surge for Hyperliquid. It is worth noting that the HYPE price is already up amid this accumulation wave, up over 12% in the last week. The perp DEX token has reclaimed the key $40 level and is now eyeing new local highs.  Interestingly, Hayes has predicted that Hyperliquid could reach $150 by August. He stated that this could happen as the HIP-3 markets continue to generate record fees for the perp DEX. The DEX has seen greater adoption since the U.S.-Iran war began, as traders can trade commodities such as oil on HIP-3.  DeFiLlama data shows that Hyperliquid currently ranks among the crypto protocols generating the most fees. This is bullish for HYPE because a majority of these fees go into buybacks, which could spark significant rallies for the token.  An HYPE ETF Is On The Horizon Bitwise has filed an amended registration statement for its Hyperliquid ETF, with the fund set to trade under the ticker ‘BHYP.’ The asset manager also set a management fee of 0.67% for the fund. Meanwhile, it listed market makers FalconX, Flowdesk, Nonco, and Wintermute as approved trading counterparties.  Related Reading: XRP, HBAR, And Litecoin: Pundit Highlights Coins To Watch In 2026 Bloomberg analyst Eric Balchunas noted that the filing indicates that the fund could launch soon, a development that is also bullish for Hyperliquid. The fund is expected to attract new inflows into the HYPE ecosystem as institutional investors gain exposure to the HYPE token through this ETF.  Grayscale and 21shares have also filed to launch a Hyperliquid ETF, which is also bullish for the HYPE price. Balchunas noted that Bitwise may be looking to launch its HYPE ETF soon, given strong interest in HYPE, which is up 200% over the last year.  At the time of writing, the Hyperliquid price is trading at around $42, up almost 2% in the last 24 hours, according to data from CoinMarketCap. Attention has again been drawn to the popular trader James Wynn, who went from a high of almost $100 million in profits to less than $1000 in his Hyperliquid account at the moment. The trader continues to trade Bitcoin and was recently liquidated as the market recovered.  Popular Bitcoin Trader Who Went From Almost $100 Million To Below $1,000 HypurrScan data shows that popular Bitcoin trader James Wynn’s account has gone from a peak of $84.21 million in May 2025 to $914.21 at the moment. The trader gained prominence for reaching a $84 million peak in just over two months after he began trading on the decentralized exchange (DEX) Hyperliquid.  Related Reading: Here’s Why The Hyperliquid Price Is Exploding Again The trader stacked these profits through high-leveraged bets, including betting on Bitcoin. A major highlight of the trader’s journey was building a $1.25 billion BTC position by going long with 40x leverage on the leading crypto. This was one of the largest Bitcoin positions at the time, which drew more attention to the trader.  That position was eventually liquidated, and since then, the Bitcoin trader has lost up to $100 million on his positions. Further data from HypurrScan data show that he currently has a loss of $22 million all-time PnL (Profit and Loss) on Hyperliquid. Wynn was notably a bull as his trading profits on Hyperliquid climbed to a peak of $84 million.  However, since the crash in his trading profits, the trader’s sentiment toward Bitcoin has continued to flip. Towards the end of last year, he became largely bearish on BTC, rightly predicting that the leading crypto would suffer a long-term downtrend. Bitcoin has been in a downtrend since reaching an all-time high (ATH) of $126,000. Earlier this year, in February, Wynn predicted that BTC would still drop to as low as $48,000 in this bear market.  More Liquidations Amid Bearish Sentiment On-chain analytics platform Lookonchain revealed that James Wynn was recently liquidated on his Bitcoin position as the crypto market recovered amid the U.S.-Iran ceasefire. The trader had shorted Bitcoin just below $67,000 and got liquidated as the price hit $67,900. Lookonchain noted that the trader has been liquidated six times in just the past two weeks.  Related Reading: Crypto Trader Predicts Bitcoin Price Will Hit $100,000 Again When This Happens Wynn had mainly been shorting Bitcoin while the leading crypto traded in the $67,000 range. However, the leading crypto has yet to make a new low, holding the $66,000 support, and has instead rebounded above the psychological $70,000 level since the U.S.-Iran ceasefire agreement. HypurrScan data show that the trader has not opened a new position since the ceasefire agreement.  At the time of writing, the Bitcoin price is trading at around $72,000, up in the last 24 hours, according to data from CoinMarketCap. XRP developers have proposed a new amendment that would introduce Batch Transactions on the XRP Ledger (XRPL). Vet, an XRPL dUNL validator, has revealed that the amendment was still under voting by validators. He also shared key insights into the proposed amendment, highlighting the main benefits it would bring to the ecosystem and some recent challenges it has faced.  About The New XRP Ledger Amendment The new amendment, XLS-56d: Batch Transactions, was created by Denis Angell, a software engineer at XRPL Labs. According to reports, the amendment will make it even easier for developers to build applications that can generate revenue directly on-chain. It will also simplify the process of offering paid features and help automate transaction flows. Related Reading: A Major XRP Ledger Win That Most Investors Might Have Missed Notably, Vet stated that the highly anticipated amendment would enable developers to execute multiple transactions atomically. He explained that this capability would support project monetization, trustless swaps, and enable businesses to issue service charges more sustainably. Additionally, it would help settle multiple accounts and assets atomically. To provide further context on the new amendment, Vet referenced a publication by Shawn Xie, a developer at RippleX. In the article, Xie explained the concept of atomic execution and outlined how the new batch amendment would enhance the XRPL ecosystem.  He explained that Batch Transactions allow developers to bundle up to eight transactions into a single atomic package, ensuring that all transfers are executed according to the set rules. This approach delivers more predictable, reliable outcomes, representing a significant advancement in programmability without relying on smart contracts.  For the XRP Ledger, Xie has stated that the amendment would create opportunities for cleaner code and safer applications. He emphasized that it would improve user experience by eliminating issues such as partial mints, broken offers, or failed transfers. Additionally, it will allow transactions to be grouped logically and signed together. Other benefits of the proposed amendment include introducing new monetization paths and design patterns. Xie also noted that Batch Transactions would enable immediate utility across many real-world sectors, including platform fees, DEX swaps, trustless multi-account swaps, fallback withdrawals, and NFT minting/offerings.  Batch Amendment Runs Into Bug Issues While still under validator voting, the XRP Ledger Foundation reported that the Batch amendment had run into a bug, discovered through the platform’s Bug Bounty program, before activation. The foundation has revealed that the issue has been resolved and the XRPL network remains unaffected and fully secure.  Related Reading: What Happens Now That The XRP Price Has Revisited The October 10 Lows? The foundation has advised XRPL validators to veto the Batch amendment while the team reviews the community-submitted bug report. They said the community’s collaboration was instrumental in catching the issue early and preventing potential disruptions.  Following this, Vet has shared an update, announcing that a new XRP software update will arrive next week, deprecating the current Batch amendment. He said follow-ups will likely include a detailed bug report and another software release introducing a fixed version of the amendment. Featured image from Free3D, chart from Tradingview.com

Crypto expert Remi has raised the possibility that XRP could have a base price of $10,000. This came as the expert noted that the XRP Ledger (XRPL) could become the go-to network for tokenization, boosting XRP’s utility.  How XRP Can Achieve A Base Price of $10,000 In an X post, Remi predicted that XRP could have a base price of $10,000. He suggested that this could happen if the altcoin has a “United States Crypto price Floor System.” Notably, he made this comment in reference to a report on the U.S. developing a critical minerals price floor system.  Related Reading: Analyst Shares XRP Roadmap To $10,000: What Happens With Each Milestone? Remi suggested that this could also happen for XRP if the U.S. eventually considers it a very important asset. Meanwhile, the expert also noted that the XRP Ledger will tokenize gold and Bitcoin, which would also boost the altcoin’s utility and possibly contribute to the base case price of $10,000.  In another X post, Remi declared that all the critical minerals will be tokenized on the XRPL with XRP as the bridge currency. He reiterated that the altcoin could reach $1,000, $10,000, and even $100,000 once these begin to happen on the XRPL. It is worth noting that the XRPL is already seeing a wave of tokenization of real-world assets (RWAs).  Billiton Diamond and Ctrl Alt announced earlier this month that they had tokenized over $280 million of certified polished diamonds. Ripple also backed the deal, with the crypto firm providing custody services for this tokenization initiative. RWA.xyz data shows that the total tokenized assets on the XRPL are currently valued at $1.9 billion. The network ranks sixth among all networks in terms of tokenized RWAs.  XRPL Gets New Upgrade  The XRP Ledger has activated the Permissioned DEX, which enables compliant institutional trading. This is expected to further boost the network’s adoption, which is positive for XRP. Commenting on this development, expert X Finance Bull noted that regulated institutions can now trade on the network with vetted counterparties.  Related Reading: Cup And Handle Pattern Puts XRP Price At $60 After Hitting Resistance He further remarked that this translates to compliant DeFi, on-chain order books, and KYC-gated trading. The expert also claimed that Ripple and its partner institutions have been waiting for this, and that the infrastructure is ready and the payment rails are open. X Finance Bull declared that this is how up to trillions of dollars will enter the XRP Ledger.  He also mentioned that the CLARITY Act, being signed into law, will be the next bullish catalyst for XRP. Once that happens, he predicts that institutional inflows into the XRP ecosystem will increase.  At the time of writing, the XRP price is trading at around $1.41, down over 4% in the last 24 hours, according to data from CoinMarketCap. The XRP Ledger has quietly crossed a critical milestone. What began as an experimental blockchain designed to challenge the inefficiencies of cross-border payments is now maturing into full-scale financial infrastructure. With the final constraints that once limited bank participation now removed, XRPL is no longer something institutions test; it’s something they can deploy. How XRPL Addressed Compliance And Operational Gaps Ripple has removed a key barrier that previously prevented banks from settling directly on the XRP Ledger, a change that could enable billions of inflows into the Ledger. Crypto analyst Diana has revealed that for years, a recurring question has surrounded Ripple’s network of over 300 bank partnerships: If adoption was so broad, why isn’t there massive on-chain volume on XRPL? Related Reading: Is XRP Poised To Replace SWIFT As Global Payments Infrastructure? As explained by Ripple Chief Technology Officer (CTO) and board member David Schwartz (JoelKatz), the reason was not technical performance; it was compliance and counterparty certainty. Institutions were unable to guarantee who was providing liquidity or whether counterparties met regulatory requirements when settling on-chain. That constraint is now being addressed. Permissioned Domains are live on XRPL, allowing institutions to operate within compliant, access-controlled environments while still benefiting from on-chain settlement.  However, a Permissioned DEX, which is scheduled to go live on February 18, will enable institution-only liquidity pools designed specifically for regulated participants. A big week is ahead for Ripple XRP, with more token utility anticipated. BSCN on the X platform reported that the week ahead could be an important one for the Ripple community, with new updates focused on expanding the real-world utility of XRP set to be introduced. RippleXDev has announced that the XRP community day will take place on February 11, featuring a series of live social media events. One of the key discussion points will be how upcoming roadmap features translate directly into XRP utility. RippleXDev indicated that the session will explore several foundational pillars designed to drive adoption, including programmability through smart extensions and contracts, zero-knowledge proofs (ZKPs) for privacy and stability, and compliance building blocks such as permissioned domains and the permissioned DEX. Why Extreme Conditions Often Precede Relief Rallies XRP price has entered the most oversold condition in its history. According to Skipper, analysts are stating that every time the altcoin reached comparable extremes, the price eventually reversed to the upside. Based on this historical pattern, XRP may be approaching a significant rebound, with a move back above the $2 level now back in focus. XRP is being talked about in a different way now — not just as a token to trade, but as something that could plug into real finance. Related Reading: Bitcoin Sell-Off May Be Done, Analyst Flags Recovery Signs The talk is shifting from ticker-watchers to companies that want reliable settlement rails and liquid collateral for on-chain assets. That shift shows up in moves on the ledger and in comments from people building businesses around it. XRP Seen As Financial Lifeline According to Jake Claver, CEO of Digital Ascension Group, XRP should be thought of as foundational collateral rather than a short-term bet. He called it “the most pristine collateral” and warned that 99% of holders “have no clue” what they actually hold. Those are strong words, and they line up with wider signals from developers and some institutional players who are testing XRPL’s features for real-world use. 99% of people that own XRP have no clue what it really is…. It’s the most pristine collateral the world has ever seen… It’s the oxygen the new financial system will need to breathe.. I do not know how to impress upon you how important XRP will be for the world moving forward. — Jake Claver, QFOP (@beyond_broke) February 4, 2026 Growing Tokenized Commodity Activity Reports say the XRPL now hosts roughly $1.14 billion in tokenized commodities. That number is important. It shows companies are putting things like energy-linked tokens and diamonds onto the ledger, and it positions XRPL just behind Ethereum in the specific area of tokenized commodity value. These assets aren’t just experiment tokens; they are intended to be tied to physical goods and cash flows, which changes how XRP might be used in settlement and collateral roles. Ripple’s Plan For Institutional DeFi Based on reports from Ripple’s roadmap, the ledger is being prepared for deeper institutional use. Permissioned domains and credentials are being highlighted as tools to let regulated firms operate with KYC and compliance baked in. XRP Price Action Market moves reacted to these developments. After a slide to about $1.11 amid broad market stress, XRP climbed back to roughly $1.53 on February 7, a move of over 35% from the recent low. Trading has since cooled off a little. Some traders point to renewed institutional flows and accumulation by large wallets, while others say global risk sentiment and macro headlines remain the main drivers of day-to-day swings. Institutional Steps Toward On-Chain Credit Meanwhile, reports note early institutional participants are preparing to put capital to work to increase yield and liquidity on XRPL. Planned features like a permissioned DEX, confidential transfers, and smarter escrow controls are meant to make the ledger easier for banks and regulated funds to plug into existing processes. Related Reading: Bitcoin Edges Past Gold In Appeal, JPMorgan Says XRP As ‘Oxygen’ If those pieces arrive and are adopted, XRP’s role as an on-ledger liquidity provider and settlement asset would be reinforced. There are good reasons to watch both the tech and the market. The ledger’s growing base of tokenized goods and the roadmap for lending give a clear use case for XRP as operational collateral. At the same time, price swings show that broader macro forces and speculation still matter a great deal, and adoption by banks and funds will be what really tests the claim that XRP can act as the “oxygen” for a new financial plumbing. The Hyperliquid price is seeing renewed bullish momentum, recording double gains over the last week and bucking the broader crypto market downtrend. This comes thanks to bullish fundamentals in the token’s ecosystem, including a rise in open interest on the decentralized exchange (DEX).  Why The Hyperliquid Price Is Rising  The Hyperliquid price is up over 58% in the last seven days, outpacing the broader crypto market as Bitcoin trades just below the psychological $90,000 level. This price surge has come on the back of a rise in Hyperliquid’s HIP-3 open interest. The DEX announced in an X post that open interest reached an all-time high of $790 million, driven recently by a surge in commodities trading.  Related Reading: XRP, HBAR, And Litecoin: Pundit Highlights Coins To Watch In 2026 The exchange added that HIP-3’s open interest has been hitting new all-time highs each week, after being just $260 million a month ago. HIP-3 enables anyone to launch a custom perpetual market for crypto, commodities such as gold and silver, and other assets such as stocks. Thanks to this upgrade, the DEX is seeing increased trading activity, which has led to a surge in the Hyperliquid price.  Notably, the Hyperliquid price has benefited from the precious metals boom, with the silver perpetuals market on the DEX seeing massive trading activity. CoinGecko data shows that the Silver perpetuals market is the third-largest traded in the last 24 hours, behind Bitcoin and Ethereum, with a trading volume of just over $1 billion.  In an X post, Hyperliquid’s co-founder Jeff Yan noted that the DEX has achieved an important milestone of becoming the most liquid venue for crypto price discovery in the world. This came as he highlighted the order books for BTC perps on Binance and his DEX. He added that Hyperliquid has also grown to become the most liquid venue for perps on traditional-finance (TradFi) assets.  Little Selling Pressure And Huge Buying Pressure For HYPE In an X post, Hyperliquid stakeholder Henrik noted that the Hyperliquid price is also rising as major selling pressure is gone. On the other hand, HYPE is seeing significant demand, including from digital asset treasuring companies such as Hyperliquid Strategies. He further highlighted the imminent Kraken HYPE listing, which is also bullish for the token. Meanwhile, Henrik stated that Hyperliquid dominates all trading metrics, including volume and open interest.  Related Reading: Here’s Why The Bitcoin, Ethereum, And Solana Prices Are Still Crashing Hard The increase in the DEX’s trading activity is also significant and bullish for the Hyperliquid price, as the majority of fees earned on the protocol are directed to the Assistance Fund, which is used to buy back HYPE tokens on the open market. DeFiLlama data shows that the DEX is currently among the top five protocols by fees generated over the last 24 hours. At the time of writing, the Hyperliquid price is at around $34, up over 27% in the last 24 hours, according to data from CoinMarketCap. Featured image from Medium, chart from Tradingview.com

This trend bolsters the SOL accumulation thesis as an emerging institutional liquidity and infrastructure story. Why Big Capital Begins Positioning Into Solana In an X post, Rex reported that the latest wave of institutional interest in Solana confirms what analyst Solana Sensei pointed out, that big firms are actively accumulating SOL right now. Forward Industry alone is holding close to $1 billion worth of SOL, while firms like Defidevcorp and others are sitting on hundreds of millions. Related Reading: Solana’s Network Performance Reaches Historic Peaks As Transaction Activity Climbs Rex views this move as just the start, and SOL stands out when it comes to real-world asset (RWA) tokenization. Its insane transaction speed, combined with dirt-cheap fees and real scalability, finally makes moving real assets on-chain viable and sustainable. These projects choosing SOL isn’t accidental; they know where the future is heading. The expert also reflects on the journey. SOL has been addressed as fast but too centralized. Currently, the same institutions that once stayed on the sidelines are quietly stacking billions in SOL, while the real run hasn’t even started yet. SOL is positioning itself to reach levels that may look unimaginable in the next few years. “Supper proud to be part of this,” Rex noted. While the crowd stayed focused on the 2025 volatility, an analyst known as Senior highlighted that Solana entered 2026 by finally delivering on its biggest technical promise. The Firedancer validator client officially went live on mainnet as of January 2026, pushing the network’s finality to 150 milliseconds and finally ending years of beta resilience and performance concerns. At the same time, Western Union officially integrated the SOL network. Meanwhile, the Spot SOL ETF surpassed $1 billion in total net assets this week, indicating that the infrastructure has also reached true institutional-grade standards. In the past, the moment SOL transitions from a retail playground to a permanent global financial rail, becoming unshakeable will feel obvious. On-Chain Activity Reflects Real Usage Growth The Solana metrics are growing. Investor and founder of the Inner Circle, Lark Davis, has revealed that the SOL application revenue surged to $2.39 billion, a 46% year-over-year increase and a new all-time high in 2025. SOL network revenue also reached $1.48 billion, representing a 48 times increase over the past two years. Meanwhile, daily active wallets have climbed to 3.2 million, showing that SOL growth is improving. Related Reading: Why Has The Solana Price Been In A Steady Downtrend Since January? On January 6th, nearly $900 million in stablecoin supply entered the SOL ecosystem in a single day. Currently, SOL leads all chains in both 24-hour and 30-day DEX volumes, and has emerged as the top blockchain by market capitalization for tokenized stocks. Bitcoin’s on-chain activity has shown a sharp slowdown since spot Bitcoin exchange-traded funds (ETFs) launched. While institutional inflows into these products have accelerated, the number of active BTC addresses has declined. As Wall Street embraces BTC exposure, the network’s grassroots participation appears to be undergoing a significant transformation. In an X post, the CEO of SwanDesk, financial analyst Jacob King, pointed out that Bitcoin active addresses have been in a steady decline since the US spot BTC ETFs launched in January 2024, and the irony is obvious. Why Retail Participation Shows Signs Of Fatigue  For years, BTC maximalists have pushed for Wall Street adoption, believing institutional involvement would unlock the next wave of mass usage. Instead, on-chain participation has dropped sharply as retail lost interest. Related Reading: US Fed Has Ended Quantitative Tightening, But Why Is The Bitcoin Price Still Below $100,000? King noted that these Bitcoiners have piled into the ETF for a quick, early FOMO bump, and then bailed, leaving behind a market where the asset is increasingly traded by proxy. According to King, ETF investing kills BTC’s core principles. While investors no longer hold or control their own assets as banks do, which is the very system BTC was designed to challenge, greed always beats ideology. Market watcher Crypto Seth has revealed that the net inflows into BlackRock and Fidelity’s spot BTC ETFs have been relatively subdued since October 10, when the largest liquidation events happened. Seth believes that this might turn into a momentum reversal soon, as the US stock market is at 1% below new highs despite retail sentiment remaining stuck in extreme fear. Seth also pointed out that the macro backdrop is shifting in BTC’s favor. This is because the Federal Reserve ended its Quantitative Tightening (QT) program on December 1, 2025, wrapping up a multi-year effort that shaved nearly $3 trillion from the balance sheet since 2022.  Since the US Fed rate is still at 4.00%, more interest rate cuts are on the horizon, which is higher than both Europe and China. The BlackRock iShares BTC Trust (IBIT), which was launched in January 2024, is currently the firm’s most profitable exchange-traded fund (ETF) based on annual fee revenue, despite being less than two years old. Unlocking Bitcoin Without Compromising Its Core Principles Bitcoin is seeing key initiatives that improve its ecosystem. Every market cycle that has promise to unlock Bitcoin for decentralized finance (DeFi), RioSwap is one of the few products built on infrastructure that was capable of unlocking it in a truly decentralized way.  Related Reading: Bitcoin Aims Higher as Bulls Regain Strength and Push for Resistance Break According to Mintlayer, this was powered by Mintlayer’s native HTLC architecture, as RioSwap introduces a Decentralized Exchange (DEX) that allows BTC to move directly into decentralized markets without wrapping, unbridging, and is fully in the user’s control. With the RioSwap testnet now live, Mintlayer sees this as the start of a new liquidity phase for BTC where the asset will become an active participant in the decentralized market on its own terms. In the rapidly evolving landscape of digital finance, Ethereum is quickly establishing itself as the primary infrastructure for global on-chain capital markets. From tokenized bonds and money market funds to institutional liquidity rails, the world’s capital is beginning to migrate to an ecosystem where transactions are programmable, auditable, and borderless. Why Is Ethereum Chosen As The Default Choice For Global Rails The global capital markets are moving on-chain to Ethereum because it is credibly neutral. ETH has never experienced downtime, and it possesses the economic security necessary to support the world’s financial system. Investor and founder of GM42NFT, Captain GM, has stated that ETH is not fast enough to support trading because it wasn’t built for it. Related Reading: Ethereum Price Falls 25% But On-Chain Data and Institutional Staking Signal Q4 Recovery Potential However, the attempts to build a genuinely fast on-chain trading environment have consistently led teams to centralize significant parts of the trading system. This move creates security, reliability, and neutrality concerns for a system designed to be global. These compromises are in direct conflict with the very benefits that ETH provides, and make it the chosen blockchain for global finance. This is where Raya Network steps in to solve these issues at the core. Raya is delivering a decentralized exchange (DEX) with institutional-grade execution speed and Ethereum-level security. It’s a platform that is as fast as TradFi and remains simultaneously secure, reliable, and credibly neutral as exactly DeFi should be. “Fast is easy, decentralized is hard, and it’s only Reya that does both,” Captain GM noted. Analyst Alucard mentioned that the Raya network has become one of the few projects that genuinely solves the speed and security problem. The sub-millisecond execution speeds, trades are fully verified on ETH, and there’s no dependence on a single sequencer. This is an engineered combination designed for real progress in the space. However, over 45% of the token supply is allocated to the community. Reya, combined with the ETH buyback mechanism, creates an ecosystem that’s aligned both technically and economically. They’re building something fast and secure, and because of that, Reya sits in a different category. Why Reya’s Design Feels More Like A New Standard Than Another DEX A trader and ambassador of Somnia, Onur, has also explained that his experience with Reya feels like a full redesign of on-chain execution rather than a small improvement. It offers sub-millisecond fills, unified margin, Ethereum security with ZK settlement, and smooth flow through EigenDA. Related Reading: Ethereum Price Attempts Fresh Recovery as Bullish Pressure Builds According to Onur, the peer-to-pool model keeps trades consistent, efficient, and free from bottlenecks or hidden edges. As a result of this approach, Reya isn’t just another venue anymore, and it’s actively becoming the new execution standard for DeFi. Featured image from Peakpx, chart from Tradingview.com
