On-chain analytics firm Spot On Chain’s team of analysts, using Google Cloud’s Vertex artificial intelligence (AI), has conducted an in-depth analysis to forecast the future price of Bitcoin (BTC). Their latest report provides valuable insights into the leading cryptocurrency’s short-, medium-, and long-term outlook. Bitcoin Price Forecasts According to Spot On Chain’s report, Bitcoin prices are expected to fluctuate between $56,000 and $70,000 during May, June, and July 2024. This projected range indicates the potential for market volatility, with a 48% probability assigned to the scenario where BTC prices may dip below $60,000. Moreover, the report advises a cautious approach, acknowledging the possibility of short-term fluctuations or corrections in the price. Related Reading: SEC Anticipated To Reject Spot Ethereum ETFs In Upcoming Decision, ETH Price Takes 5% Hit Spot On Chain’s analysis reveals a significant movement in the latter half of 2024, with a compelling 63% probability of Bitcoin reaching $100,000. This mid-term projection reflects a prevailing bullish sentiment in the market, further fueled by anticipated rate cuts after the Federal Open Market Committee’s (FOMC) December 2023 meeting. These rate cuts aim to bring the federal funds rate down to 4.6% and are expected to boost demand for risk-on assets such as stocks and Bitcoin. Looking ahead to the first half of 2025, Spot On Chain’s modeling indicates a strong probability that Bitcoin will cross the $150,000 threshold. Specifically, a 42% probability is assigned to this scenario, indicating a bullish outlook for Bitcoin’s price trajectory. What’s more, looking at the entire year of 2025, the probability of Bitcoin exceeding $150,000 rises to an eye-popping 70%. Based on historical data and patterns in previous cycles, Bitcoin reached a new all-time high approximately 6 to 12 months after the Halving event. Price Consolidation On The Horizon? Crypto analyst Retk Capital has also provided insights into the current Bitcoin price action, shedding light on key resistance levels and the potential for a consolidation phase before an anticipated parabolic upside. According to Retk Capital’s analysis, Bitcoin has consistently been rejected from the $65,600 resistance level, failing to regain it as a support level. This resistance zone has significantly impeded Bitcoin’s upward movement in recent days, as seen on the cryptocurrency’s daily BTC/USD chart below. Related Reading: HBAR Prices Crashes 35% As BlackRock Denies Any Ties To Hedera Retk Capital further highlights that Bitcoin has been witnessing downside wicks into a pool of liquidity at approximately $60,600. This occurrence has been observed over multiple weeks, indicating the presence of buyers in that price range. If Bitcoin experiences further downward movement, the analyst believes that there is a possibility that it may approach this area once again. The analyst further notes: Price dropping without context can be emotionally challenging. However, understanding that this downside is part of the consolation within a technical range-bound structure that will precede Parabolic Upside makes this experience much more comforting. As of this writing, BTC is trading at $63,900, down nearly 8% over the past two weeks and the same percentage over the past 30 days. Featured image from Shutterstock, chart from TradingView.com

In a surprising turn of events, the native token of the decentralized ledger platform Hedera, HBAR, experienced a significant price surge of over 100% during the early hours of Tuesday. Starting from a low of $0.0875, HBAR skyrocketed to reach the $0.1821 mark by Wednesday. The sudden surge was triggered by the news of BlackRock’s tokenized fund, BUIDL, which generated high expectations among HBAR investors regarding a potential collaboration between the prominent asset manager and the Hedera protocol. Not Directly Connected To Hedera? Launched by BlackRock in March 2024, BUIDL operates as a tokenized fund on the Ethereum blockchain, providing US dollar yields through tokenization. Related Reading: Newbie Bitcoin Whales Hold 2x As Much As Veterans: What’s Behind This Trend? Initially, an announcement led to confusion among investors, who mistakenly believed that BlackRock would directly tokenize the fund on the Hedera network. This misunderstanding triggered a significant surge in the HBAR price. Upon closer examination of the announcement, it became clear that BlackRock and Hedera had no direct connection, although the initial reaction to the news was noteworthy. Crypto analysts, who use the pseudonym “CrediBull” on social media site X (formerly Twitter), shed light on the situation, emphasizing that explicit permission from BlackRock was unnecessary to list tokenized versions of their funds. It was not a deliberate decision by BlackRock to tokenize on Hedera; rather, an existing platform on the network took the liberty of tokenizing one of BlackRock’s funds. However, for the analyst, the fact that a platform on Hedera was among the first to tokenize a BlackRock fund reflects the platform’s leadership in the space. Analyst Clarifies Misconception Further examination reveals that Archax, the company behind the tokenized BlackRock fund on Hedera, is a portfolio company of ABRDN Investments, the largest asset manager in the UK, with approximately $500 billion in assets under management (AUM). Additionally, CrediBull emphasizes that BlackRock happens to be the fourth-largest shareholder of ABRDN. Notably, around ten months ago, Archax tokenized one of ABRDN’s money market funds, preceding their launch of the BlackRock fund. An interview by the Head of Digital Assets at ABRDN clarifies their involvement in the tokenization process on Archax. A “distribution agreement” was signed permitting the tokenization to proceed. If a similar agreement were reached with BlackRock, it would imply the asset manager’s endorsement of the product. Related Reading: Analysts Identify Key Scenario For Bitcoin Hitting $100,000 Ultimately, the interview with the head of digital assets at ABRDN underscores the fact that significant players are utilizing and contributing to the growth of Hedera behind the scenes. Following the clarification of the situation, the price of HBAR has retraced to $0.1199. Nevertheless, it remains up 8% over the past 24 hours and has recorded an impressive gain of nearly 60% in the past seven days. CoinGecko data highlights a substantial surge in HBAR’s trading volume, which has increased by over 1,100% in the past few days. This surge in trading volume indicates the widespread confusion sparked by the initial news announcement. Featured image from Shutterstock, chart from TradingView.com

Samson Mow, the chief executive at Jan3, recently spoke to Forbes about the latest Bitcoin halving and its potential to catalyze what he refers to as the “Omega candles” – significant price movements that could elevate Bitcoin to the $1 million mark. According to Mow, halvings ensure a controlled distribution of Bitcoin, maintaining scarcity and value. Related Reading: Standard Chartered Reaffirms $150,000 Bitcoin Price Target By Year-End The Mechanics Of Halving And Its Market Implications Samson Mow detailed in the interview with Forbes the mechanics behind Bitcoin halvings—a critical process built into Bitcoin’s framework by its creator, Satoshi Nakamoto. Omega Candle in sight! Omega Candle in sight! The #halving is proof that this system works, but it also means a supply shock is coming for any parties looking to buy large amounts of #Bitcoin. Check out @Excellion‘s comments on the recent halving in this @Forbes article by… pic.twitter.com/xp23ulxQIJ — JAN3 (@JAN3com) April 22, 2024 This mechanism is designed to halve the block rewards given to miners every 210,000 blocks, or approximately every four years, reducing the reward by 50%. So far, the most recent halving has reduced the reward for mining from 6.25 BTC to 3.125 BTC per mined block. However, initially, miners received 50 BTC per block. Still, due to the halvings, this amount has decreased over time to manage inflation and extend the mining lifecycle of Bitcoin’s capped supply of 21 million coins. If not for these halvings, the total supply of Bitcoin would have already been mined. In the same discussion, Mow highlighted the significant impact of newly approved spot-based Bitcoin ETFs, which received SEC approval earlier this year. He believes these ETFs, combined with the reduced block rewards from the halving, could precipitate a “supply shock” in the BTC market. Mow further speculated on the occurrence of what he calls “Omega candles”—large price movement events in the Bitcoin market. He noted that even before the recent halving, the daily demand for Bitcoin was significantly outstripping supply, predicting these Omega candles as almost certain events due to their high volatility and substantial price changes. Mow views these developments as marking the beginning of a new era for Bitcoin, coinciding with its next, or fifth, halving in the coming four years. Bitcoin Bright Future And Market Performance Regarding positive sentiment on Bitcoin, Geoff Kendrick of Standard Chartered also supports this bullish outlook, projecting substantial inflows into BTC akin to those experienced by gold with the advent of gold ETFs. Kendrick suggests that the maturation of the spot ETF market could channel between $50 and $100 billion into BTC. However, despite the post-halving price not reaching the anticipated heights, BTC has demonstrated resilience and potential for considerable growth. Meanwhile, analysts remain confident, predicting significant long-term value increases. For instance, Michael Sullivan’s analysis suggests a possible reach of $245,000 by 2029 if BTC maintains a 30% compound annual growth rate, underlining the optimistic projections shared by several market experts. XRP has shown notable signs of renewed bullish momentum in the market. It bounced back from a significant 11% price drop on April 12th, which took the token to its lowest level of the year at $0.4230. However, last week saw a solid 12% price recovery, with XRP outperforming the other top 10 altcoins in the market, behind only Solana (SOL) and Binance Coin (BNB). Signs Of A Strong Bullish Trend Ahead For XRP? On Tuesday, XRP hit a high of $0.5571, demonstrating its bullishness and outperforming its peers. This resurgence was paired with a spike in wallet activity, a positive sign for the token’s overall market sentiment. According to the network intelligence platform Santiment, the number of wallets holding at least 1 million XRP has steadily increased over the past six weeks, rising by 3.1%. It is now just one wallet away from reaching an all-time high (ATH). Related Reading: Standard Chartered Reaffirms $150,000 Bitcoin Price Target By Year-End In addition, crypto analyst Ali Martinez reported a notable buying spree among XRP whales, who purchased over 31 million tokens in the past week alone. This has contributed to the cryptocurrency’s price recovery, emphasizing renewed confidence in its uptrend prospects. Regarding price action, market analyst Egrag Crypto points out that XRP has formed a double bottom pattern, considered a strong bullish signal. This pattern, combined with the transition of the consolidation zone into a supply zone and the wicking area into a demand and accumulation zone, indicates a promising outlook for the token, according to the analyst. Egrag Crypto is confident that a significant price spike or “thrust” is imminent, and the analyst has updated his target to $1.4 for XRP. Critical Resistance Levels To Watch Despite initial bullish outlooks for XRP, the token has retraced to the $0.5474 price level as of the time of writing, accompanied by a 14% decrease in market capitalization over the past 30 days. Moreover, as XRP aims to reach higher levels, potential resistance barriers may impede the token’s recovery and the bullish trend. Analyzing the XRP/USD chart below reveals the immediate resistance at $0.5644, which has prevented consolidation above current levels for the past week. Ethereum (ETH) stands as a bellwether for the industry’s ebbs and flows. As of press time, Ethereum was trading at $3,174, its price trying to reach the crucial $3,000 mark. This downward pressure is further underscored by the notable drop in Open Interest (OI) behind ETH futures contracts, which plummeted from $10 billion to $7 billion in April alone. Such a decline suggests a recalibration in the futures market, potentially signaling a cooling-off period for speculative trading activity. Source: CryptoQuant Navigating Choppy Waters However, amidst the uncertainty, there exists a glimmer of hope for ETH bulls. Historical precedents, such as the mid-February 2021 correction, offer insight into the resilience of Ethereum’s price. Following a similar dip from an all-time high of $1,900 to $1,400, Ethereum experienced a V-shaped reversal, demonstrating the market’s propensity for swift recoveries. This historical context serves as a guiding light for investors navigating the choppy waters of cryptocurrency volatility. Total crypto market cap currently at $2.3 trillion. Chart: TradingView On the social sentiment front, Ethereum’s trajectory has been a tale of two halves. While sentiment was strongly positive in February and briefly in mid-March, a negative sentiment has dominated as prices entered a correction phase. Factors such as high gas fees on the Ethereum network have likely contributed to this shift, highlighting the impact of practical considerations on market sentiment. Ethereum: Fundamental Metrics Examining Ethereum’s fundamental metrics provides further insights into its current state. Cardano suffered a massive price crash over the last two weeks. However, with the market recovery, the ADA price has begun to see some positive headwinds. Analysts expect this recovery to continue, with one crypto analyst in particular, who goes by CobraVanguard, expecting a bullish continuation toward $1. Cardano Completes The ABC Wave The crypto market crash, led by Bitcoin, saw the prices of Cardano and other altcoins plunge into a dreaded ABC wave. This wave is notorious for causing massive dips to the tune of 50%, leaving investors in losses in its wake. Related Reading: Ethereum Enters Accumulation Phase As $500 Million ETH Leave Exchanges The crypto analyst revealed that Wave A had taken place when Cardano had fallen from $0.8 to $0.57, and then Wave B saw the recovery from $0.57 to $0.68. The third and final wave, Wave C, saw the price crash from $0.77 to $0.4 before bouncing upward once again, signaling the completion of the ABC wave. As with all other crashes, there comes a time when the ABC wave is over, and the price of an altcoin can recover, and it seems Cardano has entered this range. The price of the altcoin has since recovered above $0.5, with the bulls now taking control. From here, the analyst expects the recovery to continue and rally with a new wave. “After the fifth bullish wave, Cardano has completed his corrective waves (ABC) and now he has reached the end of the wedge, now it is time to start the five bullish waves,” CobraVanguard said. Source: Tradingview.com ADA Price Targets CobraVanguard outlines a number of reasons why they believe that the Cardano price is going to be bullish. Firstly, they outline an ascending structure of the chart, which suggests a bullish continuation. Next is the bullish wedge that is forming in the chart. Also, high-potential areas are becoming clearer in the chart, as the analyst outlined. Related Reading: Battle For The Halving Block: Bitcoin Users Spend Record $2.4 Million On Block 840,000 In the first wave, the analyst outlines a possible jump to $0.77. However, the analyst takes a more conservative stance compared to other analysts about the top, putting it somewhere around $1.09. The analyst further pointed out that in a situation where the wedge were to break down, it could invalidate this, and possibility lead to a decline in price. “Note that if the WEDGE is broken down with the power of descending candles, our analysis will fail,” CobraVanguard concluded. However, in a surprising turn of events, Bitcoin has not only recovered but has surged past the $66,000 mark, reigniting optimism and sparking discussions about its future trajectory. This recent resurgence in Bitcoin’s price comes on the heels of a significant price correction that coincided with April’s highly anticipated Bitcoin halving event. Nevertheless, prominent figures in the cryptocurrency space, such as Tuur Demeester, offer a more sanguine perspective. Demeester suggests that the recent dip to $60,000 might signal the floor of the correction, aligning with historical patterns observed during bull markets. According to Demeester, a 20% drawdown from highs is considered a typical correction for Bitcoin, and thus, there is a strong possibility that $60,000 could serve as a support level moving forward. BTCUSD trading at $65,883 on the 24-hour chart: TradingView.com While Demeester advocates for stability in Bitcoin’s price, anoother analyst, McKenna, foresee a period of sideways movement. McKenna agrees with Demeester regarding the $60,000 floor but predicts that Bitcoin may enter a re-accumulation phase, characterized by prolonged sideways price action.
