A crypto expert set off a fresh debate by arguing that Chainlink — not XRP — should wear the “banking coin” label. His short tweet on Wednesday got people talking and digging into the numbers behind both projects. Analyst Claims Chainlink Is Banking Coin According to Quinten, a top analyst and host at Coin Compass, Chainlink is better suited to work with banks than XRP. Related Reading: Could Pi Network Land On Coinbase? Hackathon Winner Thinks So Quinten also admitted that XRP is 10 times larger than Chainlink, a gap he says could narrow if LINK wins more institutional deals. Based on tracker figures, XRP currently trades around $3 with a market cap of a little over $178 billion, while Chainlink trades near $24 and sits at over $16 billion. XRP’s Role In Payments XRP’s case has long been tied to cross-border payments. Ripple’s tools let big banks move money on-chain in ways that aim to cut costs and speed up settlement. $XRP is 10 times bigger than $LINK Meanwhile Chainlink is the real banking coin $250 $LINK is the base case — Quinten | 048.eth (@QuintenFrancois) August 27, 2025 Some supporters say XRP could become central as traditional firms move toward blockchain settlement and even challenge systems like SWIFT. That view helps explain why XRP has a much bigger market value today. Partnerships With Institutions Reports have disclosed that Chainlink has links with several major institutions. Advocates point to connections with SWIFT and partnerships with Mastercard, the DTCC, and some central banks. Those ties are used to strengthen the contention that Chainlink can plug into the financial system in ways that go beyond payments, such as providing data, price feeds, and settlement information that banks need. Price Targets And Forecasts Quinten put a base target on LINK of $250, arguing that a move like that would make Chainlink more comparable to XRP’s value. He based that view on what he sees as stronger institutional fit. Other commentators agree. Rekt Fencer, for example, predicted a price band of $250 to $400 for Chainlink by the end of Q4 2025. My Q4 2025 targets:$BTC: $215K – $230K$ETH: $9K – $12K$BNB: $2.8K – $3.3K$SOL: $800 – $900$XRP: $8.5 – $9$DOGE: $1 – $2.5$LINK: $250 – $400$ENA: $2 – $3$PENGU: $0.7 – $1#FARTCOIN: $4.5 – $6.5 If this looks crazy to you, You’re a fool — Rekt Fencer (@rektfencer) August 19, 2025 At the same time, Rekt Fencer projects XRP could reach between $8.50 and $9 in the same period. These are bold calls. They rest on adoption and partnership wins that have not yet been locked in. LINK Price Looking Up Meanwhile, Chainlink is showing signs of steady strength, with forecasts pointing to a 7.53% rise that could lift the token to $26.12 by September 28, 2025, data from Coincodex show. Technical indicators lean bullish, though the Fear & Greed Index sits at a neutral 50, suggesting balanced sentiment. LINK has logged 16 green days out of the past 30, with volatility at 16.19%, signaling active but sometimes sharp price swings. Featured image from Unsplash, chart from TradingView

Chainlink (LINK) has experienced a significant surge, climbing back above the $25 mark on Thursday, thanks to a new partnership with the US Department of Commerce. This collaboration has propelled the LINK price to a notable 6% gain, allowing it to outperform the largest cryptocurrencies in the market. Chainlink Unveils Data Feeds For Key US Economic Metrics The decentralized oracle network announced its initiative to bring critical US government macroeconomic data on-chain, sourcing information from the Bureau of Economic Analysis (BEA).  The new Chainlink Data Feeds will deliver essential economic indicators, such as Real Gross Domestic Product (GDP), the Personal Consumption Expenditures (PCE) Price Index, and Real Final Sales to Private Domestic Purchasers.  Related Reading: Finance News Giant Outlines Where XRP Could Be In 2026 And Beyond This data will be updated on a monthly or quarterly basis and is initially accessible across ten blockchain networks, including Arbitrum (ARB), Avalanche (AVAX), Ethereum (ETH), and Optimism (OP), with support for additional chains expected as demand grows. During the announcement, Chainlink also revealed its proactive engagement with US government officials and regulators, including meetings with the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).  Will LINK Price Rally Push It Past $30? The implications of this partnership are substantial, potentially enhancing the visibility and adoption of Chainlink and increasing demand for its services. This development comes on the heels of an impressive year for LINK, which has recorded a 120% increase in value year-to-date. Looking ahead, LINK is positioning itself for a potential move toward the $30 mark. However, it faces a crucial resistance level at $27, which has proven to be a significant barrier over the past eight months.  Related Reading: Spot Ethereum ETF Inflows Flip Bitcoin Once Again, Will ETH Outperform BTC? Interestingly, prediction market Kalshi anticipates that the LINK price could reach a yearly high of $40, fueled by the ongoing developments surrounding the Chainlink network, which have consistently bolstered bullish sentiment among investors. With the LINK price trading at $25.68, the cryptocurrency still trades 51% below its all-time high record of $52.70.  Featured image from DALL-E, chart from TradingView.com

Chainlink (LINK) is retesting a crucial support zone amid the market pullback, leading some analysts to suggest that another significant drop may be coming if the current levels don’t hold. Related Reading: Shiba Inu Head And Shoulders Pattern Signals 540% Upshoot To New All-Time Highs Chainlink Loses $25 Support On Monday, Chainlink followed the rest of the market, dropping 10% to the local range lows. The cryptocurrency hit an eight-month high of $27.87 on Friday, but ultimately failed to hold this level, retracing to the $25.5-$26.5 area over the weekend. LINK lost the recently reclaimed $25 support level, dropping to the $23.5 area in the afternoon. AltCryptoTalk noted that LINK has been trading within a rising channel for the past two weeks, explaining that the cryptocurrency remains within a crucial support zone despite the drop below $25. To the market watcher, as long as LINK holds above the support zone’s lower boundary at $23.5, “the overall bias remains bullish, and we will be looking for trend-following long setups on every bearish correction.” The analyst also highlighted that the Chainlink network is “secure, efficient, and decentralized,” which adds strength to its native token’s rally. Notably, SBI Group, one of Japan’s largest financial conglomerates with $200 billion in total assets managed, partnered with Chainlink to “power several innovative use cases centered around tokenized funds, tokenized real-world assets such as real estate and bonds, regulated stablecoins, and more.” In the Sunday announcement, the companies revealed that SBI Group and Japanese financial services companies will “leverage Chainlink services, including the Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol (CCIP), SmartData (NAV), and Proof of Reserve to unlock secondary market liquidity and enhance the operational efficiency of tokenized assets” while ensuring privacy and compliance requirements. Is A Drop To $20 Next? Analyst Ali Martinez affirmed that Chainlink will test a key support level before a massive breakout. The market watcher highlighted a four-year symmetrical triangle formation on the altcoin’s chart, which targets a 280% increase once it breaks out. LINK has retested the pattern’s upper boundary twice since the Q4 2024 rally, briefly breaking above the crucial resistance last week. As it failed to confirm the breakout, the analyst suggested that Chainlink will experience one more dip before aiming for the $95-$100 area. Per the chart, this dip could target the next crucial support level around the $20 area, a 15% decline from current levels. Previously, analyst Rekt Capital noted that continued stability at the $23.86 level will be important, adding that a monthly close above this level is crucial for LINK’s rally. Failing to reclaim this area in the monthly timeframe could lead to a deeper pullback toward the $19.41 level, not seen since the early August breakout. Related Reading: Here’s What Powell’s Possible Rate Cuts Could Mean For The Shiba Inu Price Meanwhile, Alex Clay affirmed that Chainlink “is the next ETH,” pointing out some similarities between the two charts. According to the analyst, both cryptocurrencies have been accumulating in a multi-year triangle formation, and LINK could follow Ethereum’s steps once it officially reclaims the pattern’s resistance. Notably, after breaking out of this pattern last month, ETH confirmed the resistance as support and hit a new all-time high (ETH) last week. As of this writing, LINK is trading at $23.52, a 8.5% drop in the weekly timeframe. Featured Image from Unsplash.com, Chart from TradingView.com

Sharing his daily technical outlook, CryptoWzrd noted in a recent post that Chainlink (LINK) ended the session bullish, hinting at the possibility of further upside. With LINKBTC rebounding from an extreme oversold zone, LINK could be gearing up for its next move upwards. Bullish Daily Close For Chainlink And LINKBTC CryptoWzrd, expanding on his latest analysis, explained that both Chainlink and LINKBTC closed the day with bullish daily candles, a sign that momentum could be building in favor of buyers. This positive structure on higher time frames indicates that sentiment may be shifting after recent corrective moves. Related Reading: Chainlink Eyes Crucial Resistance After $25 Reclaim – Breakout Or Breakdown Next? According to the analyst, LINKBTC in particular needs to sustain this trend by printing additional bullish daily candles from its current position. Given that it has already bounced from an extreme oversold condition, the probability of follow-through strength remains elevated.  A continued push from this zone could lay the foundation for further upside in LINK. With momentum gradually returning, CryptoWzrd suggested that Chainlink has the potential to challenge the $40 resistance in the coming days.  On the way up, the analyst highlighted $30 as the next immediate resistance level. Based on current momentum, he believes this zone could be broken without much difficulty, provided bulls maintain their control. Meanwhile, on the downside, he pointed out $20 as the main daily support, a level that would need to hold to protect LINK’s broader bullish outlook. CryptoWzrd went on to note that his attention will remain on lower time frame chart setups tomorrow. By closely tracking intraday formations, he aims to identify quick scalp opportunities, while also keeping the broader daily structure in mind as Chainlink attempts to strengthen its bullish case. Jackson Hole Sparks Heavy Volatility On LINK Charts Giving his final verdict, CryptoWzrd highlighted that the intraday chart displayed extreme volatility, largely influenced by market reactions during the Jackson Hole Symposium. The sudden swings highlighted how sensitive the market has become to macroeconomic cues, leaving traders on high alert for short-term opportunities. According to his analysis, a potential pullback below $26.50 followed by a bullish reversal would provide a strong long setup, with targets extending toward $31 and possibly higher.  Related Reading: Chainlink Tipped To Outshine XRP In Global Banking Links: Analyst However, CryptoWzrd cautioned that if Chainlink holds below the $26.50 mark without showing signs of recovery, the market could slip into more sideways volatility. Such conditions often frustrate traders, as momentum fades and clear directional setups become harder to identify. With the weekend approaching, the analyst’s expectations remain balanced and rational, acknowledging that lower liquidity conditions could also impact price movements. Dogecoin, despite being held up around the $0.21 to $0.23 price zone, has seen its user base grow with adoption among crypto investors of all types. Notably, on-chain data shows that Dogecoin has now surpassed 8 million in terms of addresses holding a non-zero balance. On‑chain analytics from Santiment reveal that Dogecoin has risen from approximately 6.9 million holders earlier in 2025 to the latest 8 million milestone. Only Ethereum and Bitcoin exceed Dogecoin when it comes to user base size. Dogecoin Holder Count Keeps Surging The momentum behind Dogecoin’s adoption shows no sign of slowing down, and the number of addresses holding the meme cryptocurrency is now above 8 million. This trend in Dogecoin holders stems from the cryptocurrency increasingly becoming the go-to asset for many retail traders. This, in turn, has seen the number of Dogecoin holders continue to surge this year, especially as retail investors start to transition from other large market-cap cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin, which many now argue is the crypto for institutions.  Related Reading: 4-Year Cycle Says Dogecoin Price Will Reach $1, Here’s Why Although Dogecoin also saw a huge growth in the number of holders in 2024, the growth in 2025 is outpacing the trend seen in 2024,  To put this into perspective, it took the whole year to add 1 million new DOGE holders in 2024, whereas in 2025, the same milestone has taken less than eight months. This is a substantial increase from about 6.9 million holders in the beginning of 2025. The latest figures place Dogecoin well ahead of other large market cap cryptocurrencies such as Cardano (ADA), Chainlink (LINK), and XRP, as well as major stablecoins including USDT and USDC, in terms of total holder count. Only Ethereum, with about 148 million addresses, and Bitcoin, with around 55 million, surpass Dogecoin’s adoption levels. DOGE Whales Continue Accumulating The steady increase in new Dogecoin addresses has been supported by a corresponding increase in whale accumulation. Trading data shows that large wallets have added more billions of Dogecoins in recent weeks. For instance, recent on-chain data shows that wallet addresses holding between 100 million and 1 billion Dogecoin recently added about 2 billion Dogecoin worth $448 million to their holdings within a week. At the institutional level, Bit Origin made headlines after committing $500 million to a Dogecoin treasury last month when the price was hovering around $0.24. Related Reading: Dogecoin Targets $1.25, But This 170% Move Is The Start Technical traders are also paying close attention. One analyst known as Trader Tardigrade pointed out that DOGE’s current chart setup is nearing the final stages of consolidation before a pump on the daily candlestick timeframe chart. If this pump were to manifest, the analyst projects a pump to $0.41 after breaking out of a triangular consolidation pattern.  Interestingly, a longer-term analysis from the same analyst on the monthly candlestick timeframe chart shows that Dogecoin has built a support base and is ready for the next leg up that would take it to as high as $4. At the time of writing, Dogecoin is trading at $0.222, up by 4.3% in the past 24 hours. Featured image from Getty Images, chart from Tradingview.com

Chainlink (LINK) is attempting to reclaim a crucial area after recovering 10%, surpassing most of the market in the past day. Some analysts suggested that the altcoin is ready to break out to new highs, but warned that a rejection from the current levels could lead to volatile retests. Related Reading: Bitcoin Risks Drop Below $110,000 Despite Bounce – Is A 15% Pullback Coming? Chainlink Reclaims Key Levels On Wednesday, Chainlink led the crypto market as it started to recover from the recent pullback, which saw most cryptocurrencies retest their range lows for the first time in two weeks. LINK recorded the second-best performance among the top 100 cryptocurrencies, with an 11% increase in the past day. Notably, the altcoin hit a six-month high of $26.76 on Monday, after recovering 14% from the weekend lows. As it hit its multi-month high, analyst Ali Martinez pointed out that Chainlink added nearly 3,000 new addresses. According to the post, 2,995 new LINK addresses were created on August 18, the highest growth in 5 months. However, the start-of-week correction halted the bullish momentum, sending the cryptocurrency’s price to retest its breakout zone, around the $23.50 mark on Tuesday. After testing this area as support, Chainlink rebounded and reclaimed the $24.50-$25 range, briefly hitting the $26.50 barrier on Wednesday morning before retracing. Analyst Rekt Capital asserted that LINK is attempting to reclaim the $23.86-$34 price area after the recent performance. He highlighted that the lows of this range have historically been a “key support and successful retests here have enabled rallies to the Range High around $34.” Chainlink’s continued stability at the $23.86 level will be crucial for the rally to the range high. The market watcher noted that volatility below this range is possible as part of a volatile retesting process. LINK’s Levels To Watch The cryptocurrency’s monthly close is one of the most important levels to watch, as closing above the range low would position Chainlink for a bullish rally continuation. On the contrary, failing to reclaim this area in the monthly timeframe could lead to a deeper pullback toward the $19.41 level, not seen since the early August breakout. Rekt Capital explained that this level “has often acted as a volatile retest zone in bullish cycles, serving as a base for successful reversals, most prominently in mid-2021,” concluding that the cryptocurrency’s next move will be determined by a reclaim of the $23.86 resistance or a volatile retest of the $19.41 support. Altcoin Sherpa suggested that Chainlink will continue its path to the $30 barrier if the flagship cryptocurrency continues its uptrend. He affirmed that if Bitcoin loses the $110,000 support, LINK will likely see another dip. Related Reading: Bitcoin, XRP, ETH’s Pullback: Key Factors Behind The Recent Drop However, if BTC’s price stabilizes, the analyst considers that the altcoin could soar to the crucial resistance. Meanwhile, market watcher CW asserted that Chainlink faces one more key area before rallying to $30. According to the post, if LINK breaks through the current sell wall, around the $26.25-$26.75 levels, it will continue its run toward the $30 resistance, where another selling wall is situated. As of this writing, Chainlink trades at $26.15, a 35% increase in the monthly timeframe. Featured Image from Unsplash.com, Chart from TradingView.com

As blockchain technology continues to gain traction among institutional investors, Chainlink (LINK) is positioning itself to capitalize on this momentum, especially in light of pro-crypto regulations that are attracting significant capital inflows.  According to market expert Zach Rynes, the decentralized oracle network is better equipped than XRP to harness the forthcoming wave of institutional blockchain adoption and the tokenization of trillions in assets. Chainlink Vs XRP While some argue that Chainlink and the XRP Ledger (XRPL) do not compete directly on a product basis, Rynes suggests that this perspective overlooks the broader implications of their respective roles in the blockchain landscape.  The expert highlights that Chainlink offers a platform that encompasses on-chain data delivery, cross-chain interoperability, automated compliance, privacy-preserving computing, and integration with legacy systems.  These features are considered essential for the tokenization of real-world assets (RWAs) such as funds, equities, commodities, and currencies across diverse blockchain networks, both public and private. Related Reading: Crypto Founder Predicts The Collapse Of Bitcoin In This Timeframe As a result of these advantages, Chainlink is already collaborating with some of the world’s largest financial institutions, including the Central Bank of Brazil, to facilitate the adoption of blockchain technologies and tokenized assets.  Investing in XRP, according to the expert, hinges on the belief that institutions will favor the XRPL as their ledger of choice over others, including proprietary private chains.  In contrast, a bet on Chainlink reflects confidence that institutions will adopt blockchain technology more broadly, regardless of which specific ledger they choose to implement.  Rynes emphasizes that this distinction is crucial, as Chainlink’s services enhance the functionality of any blockchain used by institutions, making it a more complete player in the ecosystem. Why LINK Is Key For Institutional Blockchain Adoption Currently, Chainlink secures over $92 billion in total value locked (TVL) across more than 60 blockchain networks through its oracle network, which supports over 450 applications. In comparison, XRPL has a DeFi TVL of around $100 million. The expert further asserts that the core capabilities that Chainlink provides are more valuable to institutions seeking to navigate the tokenization sector. For instance, data oracles are essential for delivering accurate net asset value (NAV) data for tokenized funds and corporate actions for tokenized equities.  Cross-chain oracles also enable the secure transfer of assets across different blockchains, facilitating delivery-versus-payment (DvP) and payment-versus-payment (PvP) workflows.  Additionally, Chainlink’s legacy-system oracles allow traditional financial institutions to interact with public and private blockchains using existing infrastructure and messaging standards, such as SWIFT.  Related Reading: SUI Holds The Line: Rounded Bottom Hints At 13% Breakout Setup The expert also notes that a trend of margin compression is emerging for blockchain technology, where the value generated from transaction ordering is increasingly recaptured by applications rather than the networks themselves.  Rynes highlights that this shift underscores the importance of infrastructure providers like Chainlink, which can monetize their services through enterprise deals and integration programs. While XRP aims to position itself as a bridge currency, Rynes argues that Chainlink’s ability to facilitate cross-chain transactions involving stablecoins and other assets diminishes the need for such intermediary currencies.  As of this writing, LINK is trading at $24, down nearly 5% over the last 24 hours. Over longer periods, however, the cryptocurrency has ranked among the market’s top performers, recording year-to-date gains of 140%. Featured image from DALL-E, chart from TradingView.com

Chainlink (LINK) has surged nearly 15% in the past week, breaking through a long-standing resistance zone between $25 and $26. Related Reading: Bitcoin Poised For 10x Surge? Analyst Points To Gold’s Playbook At the time of writing, LINK trades around $24.2, marking its highest level in seven months. The move came with strong trading volume, confirming a bullish breakout above the 200-day moving average. Whale accumulation has played a pivotal role in fueling the rally. On-chain data reveals that large holders scooped up 1.1 million LINK, valued at approximately $27 million, mover the past seven days. The top 100 wallets also increased their holdings by more than 12%, signaling renewed confidence from institutional and high-net-worth investors. LINK Wallet Growth Hits 2025 Highs Beyond whale activity, organic network growth has also surged. Analytics firm Santiment reported that nearly 9,600 new LINK wallets were created in mid-August, while daily transfers from active addresses exceeded 9,800, both setting records for 2025. Wallet creation and transaction spikes are widely viewed as indicators of healthy adoption. For Chainlink, these metrics suggest that both retail and institutional demand are rising in tandem, potentially supporting more sustainable price growth. The renewed activity also coincides with the launch of the Chainlink Reserve, a smart contract treasury absorbing tokens from enterprise integrations, which adds deflationary pressure on circulating supply. According to CoinShares’ latest Digital Asset Fund Flows Weekly Report, inflows into crypto-products were $3.75 billion last week, the fourth-largest on record. Unsurprisingly, Ethereum was the standout after attracting the majority of capital with record-breaking inflows. Solana and XRP also experienced impressive demand, resulting in both cryptocurrencies receiving inflows exceeding 10% of the year-to-date total flows. Ethereum’s Record-Breaking Numbers Ethereum witnessed the most activity last week since the 2021 bull run that took many crypto investors by surprise. In terms of crypto-based products, Ethereum managed to displace Bitcoin’s supremacy last week by leading with $2.87 billion in inflows, representing 77% of the total $3.75 billion. This performance brought its year-to-date inflows to $11.094 billion, which is about 29% of total Ethereum assets under management.  Related Reading: Here’s Why Bitcoin And Ethereum Prices Are Crashing The intensity of institutional demand had an immediate impact on Ethereum’s market price action. Notably, the Ethereum price surged to $4,776 last week, its highest level since the 2021 bull market.  In terms of geographical location, most of the inflows came from the United States, with $3.725 billion in inflows, more than 99% of the total. This concentration was mostly by iShares ETFs. Smaller but meaningful contributions came from Canada with $33.7 million, Hong Kong with $20.9 million, and Australia with $12.1 million. On the other hand, Brazil and Sweden posted outflows of $10.6 million and $49.9 million, respectively. Although Bitcoin also managed to push to a new all-time price high of $124,128 last week, the leading cryptocurrency took a step back in institutional inflows. Bitcoin brought in $552 million last week. Although its year-to-date inflows are larger in absolute terms at $21.08 billion, they represent only 11.6% of its total assets under management (AuM), compared to Ethereum’s 29%. XRP And Solana Join The Party Although Ethereum captured most of the inflows, both Solana and XRP also attracted notable inflows that show the altcoins are gaining strength among institutional investors, despite the absence of spot crypto ETFs for these assets in the US market. Related Reading: Ethereum Falls Behind Solana In Major Metric, Is Altcoin Season At Risk? Solana-based products recorded $176.5 million, bringing its monthly flows to $199.2 million and its year-to-date figure to $1.05 billion. XRP witnessed about $125.9 million worth of inflows last week, boosting its monthly total to $148.1 million and its 2025 total to $1.238 billion. As such, XRP-based products also witnessed 85% of their total monthly inflow and 10% of their year-to-date inflow last week. Sui, Cardano, Chainlink, and Short Bitcoin products also witnessed $11.3, $0.8 million, $1.2 million, and $4 million in inflows, respectively, last week. The stablecoin and tokenization sectors are experiencing a significant resurgence, fueled by pro-crypto regulations introduced by the Trump administration. As a result, experts believe that decentralized oracle network, Chainlink (LINK), is poised to reap substantial benefits from these progressive developments. Is Chainlink Crypto’s Overlooked Gem? Market expert Miles Deutscher recently highlighted that LINK may be the most promising large-cap investment opportunity this cycle, despite the possibility that many investors could overlook it.  Related Reading: Dogecoin Shorts In Trouble? This Retest Could Ignite Multi-Level Rally In a social media post on X (formerly Twitter), the expert asserted that Chainlink is uniquely positioned to benefit from the “institutionalization of cryptocurrency” and the explosive growth of stablecoins, tokenization, and real-world assets (RWAs). Notably, the total value locked (TVL) in RWAs has surged thirteenfold in just two years, climbing from approximately $1 billion to over $13 billion as institutions increasingly recognize the limitations of the traditional SWIFT payment system. In response, major financial players like asset manager and crypto exchange-traded fund (ETF) issuer, BlackRock, are advocating for tokenization, while companies such as Stripe and Circle (CRCL) are now exploring the development of their own blockchain solutions. In this environment, Chainlink serves as a crucial “universal translator.” According to Deutscher, each tokenized stock, bond, or piece of real estate requires an oracle to accurately reflect its value on-chain, and Chainlink dominates this space, controlling 84% of the oracle market. The Feedback Loop Driving LINK’s Success The Chainlink network generates revenue through two primary channels: on-chain fees for services used across various blockchain networks, and partnerships with large corporations that pay for Chainlink’s solutions.  This revenue model supports its operations and facilitates buybacks of LINK tokens, further enhancing the network’s sustainability. Related Reading: XRP Price At $36: 7-Year Bottom Breakout Could Trigger Repeat Of 2014-2017 Moreover, Chainlink’s protocol automatically converts all revenues—whether in Ethereum (ETH) or Circle’s USDC stablecoin—from corporate partnerships into LINK tokens on the open market, depositing them into a strategic treasury.  This mechanism not only strengthens the network’s financial foundation but also creates a persistent supply sink as users stake LINK to secure the network, earning a sustainable yield of approximately 4.32%. Deutscher emphasizes that this dynamic creates a powerful feedback loop: increased adoption leads to higher revenues, which in turn results in more LINK purchased and locked, enhancing network security and utility. In his analysis, Deutscher also drew comparisons between LINK and XRP, arguing that LINK has gained more traction within institutional circles than XRP, making it a more logical investment given its current valuation.  For context, the total value secured by Chainlink stands at an impressive $84.65 billion, dwarfing XRP’s decentralized finance (DeFi) total value locked of approximately $85 million.  Despite this disparity, XRP’s market cap is roughly twelve times larger than LINK’s, which Deutscher believes highlights LINK’s potential value at current levels. From a pricing perspective, Chainlink has recently broken above the $20 weekly resistance level, currently trading at $22.This is likened to Ethereum’s pivotal $4,000 level, indicating a potential upward trajectory for LINK in the coming months. According to market reports, Chainlink hit a three-month high at $23.80 this week as community sentiment for 2025 reached its strongest point so far. Trading activity was up, with about $2 billion in volume reported in the last 24 hours. The move came alongside broader crypto gains, but LINK’s own narratives — from real-world assets to cross-chain tools — are getting a lot of attention. Related Reading: Dogecoin Draws New Attention As Open Interest Tops $3 Billion Community Momentum And Market Moves Reports have highlighted a spike in bullish talk from Chainlink’s community, often called “marines,” and on-chain activity that traders are watching closely. Based on Etherscan data, one token contract reportedly bought back roughly 40,000 LINK units in an hour via Uniswap V3, which traders said added fuel to the rally. Sentiment trackers show a notable upswing, and trading charts reflect a string of green days that pushed prices into the mid-twenties. Chainlink’s Role In RWA And Policy Debates Based on reports, Chainlink now secures over $62 billion in total value that relies on its oracle feeds, a figure that was put at about 60% of the oracle market. The project is reported to provide data for 450 projects across 21 chains. LINK’s exposure to real-world assets also gets attention: reports place Chainlink-linked RWAs at nearly $16 billion out of a $57 billion RWA space. The project was mentioned in recent White House digital asset frameworks as an example of oracle usage, which added another layer to the story driving interest. Price Signals And Technical Readouts According to short-term forecasts cited by some providers, LINK could rise by 7% to reach $25 by September 13, 2025. Market indicators shown in those reports mark current sentiment as Bullish, with the Fear & Greed Index at 75 (Greed). Chainlink’s growing role in SWIFT’s blockchain integration is drawing comparisons to XRP’s long-standing ambitions in the same sector. Related Reading: Ethereum Faith Fading? Samson Mow Says Holders Will Shift To Bitcoin Reports have disclosed that SWIFT already uses Chainlink technology to connect more than 11,000 banks to public and private blockchains, a move some believe gives Chainlink an edge in real-world adoption. Chainlink’s Ties With Global Finance Supporters point out that Chainlink’s work now spans major financial players such as the DTCC, Mastercard, central banks, and top asset managers. The collaboration with SWIFT is central to this progress, enabling data and transaction flows between multiple blockchains. When asked which blockchain would carry these transactions, Chainlink advocate Zack Rynes said any of the hundreds available could serve that role, leaving the door open for XRP and the XRP Ledger (XRPL) to participate. He did point out though that, in reality, Swift and Chainlink have been collaborating to link up 11,500 Swift-affiliated lenders to both public and private blockchain networks. Rynes disagreed, arguing that his stance comes from the belief that Chainlink’s $14 billion market cap is too low compared to XRP’s $188 billion, especially given Chainlink’s institutional achievements. Different Views From Ripple Supporters The debate also drew in Dom Kwok, co-founder of EasyA, who responded to a remark from influencer Ansem that Chainlink is what Ripple would be “if it actually worked.” Kwok said he has personally seen Ripple’s technology used in real-world cases, but has yet to see Chainlink deployed in the same way or meet developers actively building with it. He noted that time spent directly with builders often reveals which technology is working at scale. Chainlink’s partnership with SWIFT dates back to 2016 but has accelerated recently. i have actually seen @ripple’s tech work in real life. i’ve never seen @chainlink work in real life, nor have i met anyone building with chainlink either. when you spend every day on the ground with developers you understand what tech works much better than an influencer who’s… https://t.co/0SIbExpvPf — Dom | EasyA (@dom_kwok) August 10, 2025 Related Reading: Ethereum Hits $4,300, Restoring Vitalik Buterin’s Crypto Billionaire Status Both announced a proof-of-concept at the most recent Chainlink SmartCon event, utilizing the Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol (CCIP) to interconnect SWIFT’s legacy messages with multiple blockchains. The Chainlink (LINK) market has registered strong bullish action in recent days amidst a general market rebound. Data from CoinMarketCap reports that LINK’s price has increased by 29.75% in the past week, allowing the altcoin to emerge as one of the top market gainers in this period. Interestingly, prominent market analyst Ali Martinez has identified another encouraging trend underneath this positive price action. Related Reading: Chainlink Acknowledged By The White House As Key Player In Crypto Infrastructure Chainlink Whale Activity Surges With 8.10 Million LINK Purchase In an X post on August 8, Ali Martinez reports a major rise in whale accumulation on the Chainlink network. Notably, these investors holding between 100,000 and 1,000,000 LINK tokens have collectively added 8.10 million LINK, valued at more than $150 million, to their wallets over the last two weeks.   Generally, such a surge in accumulation, particularly among existing large holders, often signals strong confidence in the market. Historically, elevated whale activity has preceded major price movements, either fueling bullish momentum or marking key distribution zones. In the case of Chainlink, this reported accumulation is highly peculiar as chart data indicates that accumulation accelerated during the late-July crypto market correction, when LINK traded below $15, and persisted even as prices rebounded above $20.  This pattern suggests that institutional or high-net-worth investors continue to anticipate further price appreciations on LINK despite recent gains. Related Reading: This XRP Signal Consistently Foreshadows Price Jumps: Analytics Firm LINK Heading To $23?  In other news, another popular X analytics page with the username MoreCryptoOnline shares an interesting insight on Chainlink’s potential price action, referencing key support and resistance levels.  In an X post on August 8, these analysts show that LINK is approaching a potential breakout zone. After completing what appears to be the third wave of a five-wave Elliott Wave sequence, the altcoin now targets the $21.07–$22.65 range, corresponding to the 50% and 61.8% Fibonacci extension levels. However, MoreCryptoOnline emphasizes the importance of the $17.83–$18.87 support zone, derived from the Fibonacci retracement of the current impulse to the proposed bullish sequence. They explain that holding this support level would validate wave 4 as a corrective structure and pave the way for a final push toward $23, or even the 78.6% Fibonacci level near $25.12, as wave 5 completes. At press time, LINK trades at $20.80 after gaining by 9.58% in the past 24 hours. However, the asset’s market daily trading volume is down by 2.73% reflecting a minor decline in market activity. Meanwhile, with a market cap of $13.89 billion, Chainlink ranks as the $13th largest cryptocurrency.  Featured image from Pexels, chart from Tradingview

The White House has officially recognized Chainlink (LINK) as an essential component of the digital asset ecosystem. This acknowledgment comes from the recently published Digital Asset Report, which emphasizes the importance of decentralized oracles in the functioning of stablecoins and tokenized assets. Chainlink’s Importance In DeFi Market expert Quinten Francois highlighted this recognition on social media platform X (formerly Twitter), stating, “WHITE HOUSE JUST MENTIONED CHAINLINK.”  The report underscores how oracles act as a bridge connecting external data sources to blockchain networks, enabling smart contracts to execute agreements based on real-world events and prices. This functionality is crucial for decentralized applications (dApps) that facilitate a range of financial activities, including trading, lending, and earning rewards. Chainlink’s role becomes even more vital in the context of decentralized finance (DeFi), where dApps often serve as cross-chain bridges, allowing assets to move seamlessly between different blockchain networks.  These wrapped assets, which exist on one chain but are represented on another, illustrate the growing complexity and interconnectivity of the blockchain ecosystem. New Era For The US Financial System Sergey Nazarov, co-founder of Chainlink, responded positively to the White House’s endorsement, expressing his appreciation for the administration’s commitment to advancing the blockchain industry.  Nazarov noted that Chainlink’s recognition represents a critical moment for both the industry and the broader US financial system. Chainlink’s co-founder further noted: I think the president’s (Trump) clear placing of our industry as a national priority will be seen as a critical and historic moment for our industry and for the United States financial system’s role globally. Nazarov distinguished the report’s focus on oracles, particularly the Cross Chain Interoperability Protocol (CCIP), which according to his assessment highlights the innovative work being done by the Chainlink community to enhance smart contract capabilities. Despite the optimism surrounding these developments, some industry leaders had anticipated further details regarding a federal Bitcoin (BTC) reserve, a topic notably absent from the report.  During a press briefing, a White House official mentioned that infrastructure for this initiative is currently being developed, with more information expected in the near future. Despite this development, Chainlink’s native token, LINK, remained unfazed, currently trading at $17.80. Currently, the cryptocurrency is trading 66% below its record high of $52.
