As the crypto market recovers from the latest pullback, Bitcoin (BTC) is attempting to bounce from its one-month low. Some analysts have warned that the correction has left the cryptocurrency in a “fragile position” that resembles the start of the previous bear market. Related Reading: XRP At ‘Critical Inflection Point’: Analyst Signals Major Expansion If This Level Holds Bitcoin Risks 2022-Like Correction On Sunday, Bitcoin saw a 3.6% intraday decline, closing the day below its yearly opening for the first time. Since November, the flagship crypto has been hovering between $86,000-$93,500 in the weekly timeframe, failing to turn the range’s resistance into support despite multiple attempts. During the early January breakout, BTC climbed 11.5% from its $87,600 2026 opening price, reaching a two-month high of $97,924 nearly two weeks ago. Since then, the cryptocurrency has erased all its recent gains, diving below this key area and closing the week at the base of its range. Amid this performance, Market observer Philarekt affirmed that Bitcoin is repeating its 2022 playbook, highlighting the similarities between the leading crypto’s performance at the start of the last bear market and its current price action. As the chart shows, the cryptocurrency formed a bear flag pattern after the initial drop from its cycle top of $69,000. At the time, the cryptocurrency tested and rejected the 100-day Moving Average (MA), leading to a pullback towards the pattern’s lower boundary. This was followed by a rebound towards the formation’s upper boundary, where the 200-day MA was located, and a rejection from this area, which led to a breakdown from the pattern and 55% correction. This time, Bitcoin has rejected from the 100-day MA and is currently retesting the pattern’s support line. Based on this, he suggested that the flagship crypto could see one more leg up toward the 200-day MA, located around the $100,000 barrier, before “the real show” begins. BTC Price In Precarious Position Meanwhile, Rekt Capital explained that Bitcoin was in a “particularly fragile position,” as it needed to hold the previous week’s marginal close above the range high. “When Weekly Closes occur marginally beyond a key level, the subsequent retest becomes structurally precarious,” he detailed. In his analysis, the market watcher noted that Bitcoin saw a sharp rejection from the $98,000 region, where the 21-week and 50-week Bull Market Exponential Moving Averages (EMAs) are located. This coincided with the loss of a higher low structure that had been building similarly to 2021. “Losing that Higher Low is significant, as it removes a key structural buffer that could have supported continued consolidation within the Weekly Range,” he asserted. The rejection has shifted focus to the strength of the $86,000 support and the character of the upcoming rebounds from this area. He warned that shallower bounces from the range lows would suggest weakening demand, increasing the chances of a breakdown below this support. Strong rejections that lead to downside continuation historically tend to occur later in the cycle toward the end of Q1 or the start of Q2, Rekt Capital pointed out, but Bitcoin is already testing the lower boundary of its weekly range. This adds “importance to the integrity of this support, as any early breakdown would represent a shift relative to that typical timing.” At the moment, the weekly range remains pivotal, “acting as the key decision point between a prolonged relief structure and the risk of deeper downside,” the analyst concluded. Bitcoin (BTC) is retesting a crucial support area after its price slid 5% from the recent highs and fell below the $90,000 barrier. Some analysts have suggested that the cryptocurrency’s structure remains intact, but warned that it must bounce quickly or risk retesting the November lows. Related Reading: XRP ETFs Record 13-Day Streak As SOL Funds See Largest Outflows Since Launch Bitcoin Retests $88,000 After Rejection On Friday, Bitcoin lost the recently reclaimed $90,000 level, falling to a key support area before stabilizing. The flagship crypto has been attempting to recover from the November market correction, which sent its price to a seven-month low of $80,600. Since reaching its local lows two weeks ago, the cryptocurrency has traded within a macro re-accumulation range, between $82,000 and $93,500, attempting to break out of this zone on Wednesday, when it reached a multi-week high of $94,150. However, as the first week of December approaches its end, BTC has lost the upper area of its local range again, falling below its monthly open and tapping the $88,000 support. Amid the drop, Analyst Ted Pillows noted that BTC has been struggling to reclaim the $94,000 resistance, adding that price “wants to go lower here before another breakout attempt.” Therefore, he suggested that a bounce back from the $88,000-$89,000 support zone is likely. Altcoin Sherpa affirmed that the ongoing retest would confirm whether the recent bounce was “just lower highs and price is going lower or if we actually have any juice to bounce to like 100k or something.” The analyst outlined two potential outcomes. In the first scenario, the flagship crypto would retrace to the $87,000-$89,000 area and bounce above the $93,000-$94,000 resistance levels. In the second scenario, Bitcoin would continue to move sideways below the local resistance before eventually sliding to the November lows and potentially lower levels. Per the analysis, the leading cryptocurrency must bottom quickly, or it will risk the second outcome. BTC Shows Shallowing Pullback Tendency Analyst Rekt Capital also pointed out that Bitcoin continues to face rejection from the range high resistance. However, he considers that investors should not worry as long as the pullback isn’t as big as the previous ones. If “the rejection is shallower than the previous two, then this resistance will continue to weaken until eventually breached,” he explained, adding that “as long as this weakening continues, BTC should be able to finally breach this resistance over time & try to challenge the multi-week Downtrend above.” Earlier this week, the analyst affirmed that BTC’s consolidation structure will remain intact as long as Bitcoin closes the week above the range lows. He also noted that its Macro Downtrend, which “has been dictating resistance throughout this phase of the cycle,” remains the dominant structural barrier and the level to break. Related Reading: Solana Eyes Major Resistance After $140 Reclaim, But Analyst Questions SOL’s Strength As the price stabilized between the $88,500-$89,350 area, the analyst added that today’s retracement “continues to be a shallower pullback than the previous two,” which keeps the range “‘retrace shallowing’ tendency” intact. He noted that Bitcoin could technically drop into the ascending two-week support trendline, or tap the $86,000 level and still perform a shallower correction than the recent 10% drop. As of this writing, Bitcoin is trading at $89,400, a 2.9% decline in the daily timeframe. Featured Image from Unsplash.com, Chart from TradingView.com
Bitcoin (BTC) began the week dropping nearly 10% from the recent highs and retesting the $84,000 area before bouncing. As price risks more downside with early bear market signals, a market observer suggested that the upcoming weeks will be crucial for BTC’s future path. Related Reading: Zcash (ZEC) Leads Market Pullback With 24% Drop, Analysts Warn Of Another Crash Ahead Bitcoin Holds Key Weekly Range Last week, Bitcoin led the brief market recovery, surging from its seven-month low of $80,600 toward the $93,000 area, retesting a key weekly re-accumulation range between these two levels. However, the Sunday correction sent the price back to the range lows, raising concerns about the flagship crypto’s short-term future. Analyst Rekt Capital highlighted that BTC is stabilizing within its weekly range, holding its position above the $82,000 range low. This area marks the top of an early 2025 liquidity cluster that developed around the 50-Week EMA, where the price has tapped with three downside wicks over the past month. “Last week’s Weekly Close above the Range Low enabled a relief move toward $93,500,” the analyst explained, “but that level acted as clean resistance,” after Friday’s rejection. To the analyst, maintaining stability around the weekly range lows is important because further downside wicking into the cluster is probable. However, he noted that the consolidation structure remains intact as long as BTC’s price continues to hold above the range low in the weekly timeframe. Rekt Capital added that Bitcoin continues to trade below a sharply declining Macro Downtrend that “has been dictating resistance throughout this phase of the cycle.” Per the analysis, “A breakout soon would require reclaiming higher price levels, whereas a later attempt would meet the trendline at lower valuations, narrowing the distance between the current price and resistance.” “In either case, the Macro Downtrend remains the dominant structural barrier, and Bitcoin’s path forward depends on whether consolidation near the Weekly Range Low can bring price closer to a meaningful test of this sharply descending level,” he continued. BTC’s Vulnerable Technical Environment Raises Alarms Rekt Capital also highlighted that BTC remains below the 21-Week EMA and 50-Week EMA, which could pose a problem for its future price action as the distance between these moving averages continues to narrow. As he detailed, when these EMAs compress and ultimately cross, it tends to precede further downside. Although it usually takes weeks after the crossover for price acceleration to “fully unfold,” it still implies that the crossover risk is increasing. The two EMAs currently represent potential resistance levels on future relief attempts, with the 50-Week EMA retest “leaving room for a future rejection if price revisits it.” Related Reading: Revisiting $85,000: Bitcoin Price Drop Linked To Japanese Government Bonds This position, the analyst explained, places BTC in a “vulnerable technical environment” as “the convergence of the EMAs toward the Macro Downtrend creates a layered zone of resistance that will be difficult to overcome unless price can reclaim one of these moving averages and stabilise above it.” Until Bitcoin successfully turns one of the EMAs into support, “the structure resembles the early-stage clustering seen in prior cycles where EMAs compressed before a broader bearish continuation,” the analyst concluded. As of this writing, Bitcoin is trading at $88,294, a 2.3% increase in the daily timeframe. Featured Image from Unsplash.com, Chart from TradingView.com
Bitcoin (BTC) started the week recovering 6% from Friday’s drop and attempting to reclaim a crucial area that could set the stage for a trend continuation. However, some analysts have advised caution as BTC’s next leg up could be delayed until December. Related Reading: XRP DEX Volumes Surge As Price Plunges: Smart Money Accumulating? Bitcoin To Move Sideways Until December? After the end-of-week market downturn, Bitcoin has bounced to the $110,000 level and is attempting to turn this area into support again. Notably, the flagship crypto has been trading within the $108,000-$120,000 price range since July. Last week, BTC recorded its second drop below the range lows, falling to the $103,500 mark on Friday. Over the weekend, the cryptocurrency’s price stabilized and reclaimed the $106,000-$108,000 area. Now, Bitcoin has recovered 6.2% from the recent lows and could potentially target higher levels in the short term. Analyst Crypto Kaleo pointed out that BTC’s multi-year ascending trendline has held as support despite the recent retest and overall sentiment turning bearish, suggesting that investors should “be more bullish.” Similarly, Sjuul from AltCryptoGems highlighted that despite the current market sentiment, which shows the Fear and Greed index remains at fear levels, the flagship crypto is “still perfectly holding that flipped resistance level,” around $108,000, and is holding it as support. “Not sure if this is the place to turn bearish. Support is support, until it is not,” the analyst affirmed. Altcoin Sherpa also shared a positive outlook, emphasizing that BTC’s chart doesn’t look “that bad when you zoom out,” as it remains in the same multi-month price range and could challenge the $114,000-$115,000 area. Nonetheless, the analyst cautioned that it may be “too early to really call any sort of bullish reversal,” forecasting that the cryptocurrency will likely see “a ton of chop over the next 6-8 weeks, and we range between 100k-115k and hopefully have a nice December.” $114,000-$116,000 Area Remains Key Rekt Capital stated that as long as the price holds the current levels, it could move to the $114,000 area for a key trend continuation across its range and potentially revisit the highs. To achieve this, the analyst explained that Bitcoin must reclaim its 21-week Exponential Moving Average (EMA) as support, which was lost after Sunday’s close below the $110,000 mark. The 21-week EMA has served as support during pullbacks since late Q2. He explained that the cycle has been one of downside deviations, with price weekly closing below key levels and positioning for a bearish retest before successfully reclaiming these levels as support and rallying higher. Based on this, “it’s not a given that price will reject from the 21-week EMA.” The analyst also shared an outlook for BTC’s range in the monthly timeframe, where it has been consolidating while upside wicking beyond the range high and downside wicking below the range low since July. Related Reading: Dogecoin Price Moves: Can It Repeat The 36,000% Rally ‘Anomaly’ From Last Cycle? “As part of this consolidation, there is a potential Lower High developing which isn’t yet solidified; the upcoming Monthly Close will inform more about whether that indeed will become a resistance,” he detailed Rekt Capital concluded that a monthly close above the Lower High would invalidate the potential setup, and a close above the range high resistance would position Bitcoin for a range breakout, “especially if a November post-breakout retest of $116k into new support takes place.” As of this writing, Bitcoin is trading at $110,850, a 2% increase in the daily timeframe. After a remarkable start to ‘Uptober,’ Bitcoin (BTC) has recently seen significant volatility, retesting multiple crucial levels. As the price bounces from the $110,000 mark, some analysts have suggested that BTC’s rally won’t restart until a key area is reclaimed. Related Reading: Chinese Investment Bank Eyes $600 Million Raise For BNB Treasury Company Bitcoin Needs Key Reclaim For New Highs Over the past week, Bitcoin’s price has fluctuated between its range’s lower and upper boundaries, hitting both a new all-time high (ATH) of $126,000 and a three-month low of $102,000. Notably, the crypto market saw one of the largest liquidation events in history on Friday, which briefly sent BTC’s price below $107,500. The flagship crypto quickly bounced from the lows and reclaimed the $110,000 barrier as support over the weekend, attempting to reclaim the $116,000 level twice since Sunday. Analyst Ted Pillows noted that holding the crucial $110,000-$111,000 zone could set the stage for a bounce back to the high of its three-day range, but warned that losing this area could send the price to the $107,000 support before a reversal. Similarly, Daan Crypto Trades highlighted that despite the pullback, BTC’s range between $107,500-$124,000 has held and the key horizon levels have been respected, with “many large pivots and moves happening from these areas.” The trader suggested that Bitcoin will likely continue to “chop” within the range’s mid-zone, where most price action has occurred since Q3, until it reclaims and retests $117,000 as support. To achieve this reclaim, analyst Rekt Capital pointed out BTC must show continued stability around the $114,000 area as it has “historically preceded upside into at least $117.3k.” He noted that on the previous occasions when the price Daily Closed above this level, Bitcoin was able to rally to at least $117,300, even if the bounce eventually led to more downside action. Nonetheless, “for bullish bias, it’s important $117.3k doesn’t turn into a resistance on this current move and so Bitcoin will need to Daily Close above $117.3k to continue towards $120k over time,” the analyst warned. BTC’s Macro Structure Shows Strength Rekt Capital highlighted that BTC managed to maintain its macro bullish market structure, continuing to “print progressive Higher Lows despite the drastic downside, which is a sign of strong continued premium-buying behaviour on price pullbacks.” He also noted that Bitcoin has been consolidating within the $108,000-$116,000 levels in the monthly timeframe, upside wicking beyond the range high and downside wicking below the range low since July. The analyst suggested that the downside wicks could be a positive sign since “it signifies a liquidity grab at lower price levels that could add the necessary fuel to attempt a Macro Range breakout.” “As a matter of fact, Bitcoin has been upside wicking beyond the $116k Range High far more frequently in recent months compared to the downside wicking below the $108k Range Low, which is a testament to the Range Low’s role as a stable higher timeframe support,” he explained. Related Reading: Analyst Sends Message To XRP Investors: If You Don’t Do This, You’ll Get Wrecked Rekt Capital added that a downside wick below the range low was inevitable, as the price had not experienced such volatility in months. He concluded that holding the $114,000 support in the weekly timeframe is the key level for a new challenge of the Range Highs. As of this writing, Bitcoin is trading at $112,610, a 2.7% decline in the daily timeframe. Featured Image from Unsplash.com, Chart from TradingView.com
After a short-lived recovery, Bitcoin (BTC) is attempting to bounce from a crucial level to reclaim the $110,000 support. However, some analysts suggest that a retest of the $90,000 level could be the next stop for the cryptocurrency. Related Reading: Another Short-Lived Solana Rally? Here’s Why It May Be Different This Time Bitcoin Drops To Weekly Lows Bitcoin lost the $110,000 support for the first time in nearly two months, dipping below the lower boundary of its local range, between $108,700-$119,500. The flagship crypto hit an eight-week low of $107,900 on Friday afternoon, raising concerns for its short-term rally among investors. Crypto analyst Ali Martinez suggested that the market is starting to show signs of fatigue, with Bitcoin Dominance displaying cracks after carrying “the bulk of the bull market momentum.” To the analyst, BTC’s current price action signals a macro trend shift, mirroring the 2021 price action and the conditions that preceded the 2021 cycle peak. At the time, the cryptocurrency hit a peak of $60,000 in April, retraced, rallied to $70,000, and set a strong bearish divergence against the Relative Strength Index (RSI) before the bear market began. This time, Bitcoin is showing the same setup that foreshadowed the end of the last cycle, with price making higher highs while the RSI makes lower lows, Martinez explained. Among other technical signals, the analyst highlighted that the MACD indicator had turned bearish this week. He detailed that this bearish crossover aligns with the price drop and reinforces the downside risks. Meanwhile, he added that the recent death cross in the Bitcoin MVRV Momentum indicator “signals a macro momentum reversal from positive to negative. This is a historically reliable warning sign of cyclical tops.” The analyst affirmed that the on-chain evidence suggests Bitcoin’s top may be in, at least temporarily, with bias shifting bearish and a risk of retesting lower support levels. Will BTC Mirror Its 2021 Drop? Martinez also noted that the $108,700 support is crucial for BTC’s short-term performance, as a weekly close below this area would confirm a deeper trend shift, which occurred in 2021. After peaking in late 2021, the flagship crypto lost its local range above the $58,000 mark, which led to a retest of the macro range’s mid-zone and an eventual drop below the macro range’s lows in the coming months. If BTC loses its immediate technical floor, the price could retest the $104,500 and $97,000 support levels, risking a drop to the mid-zone of the macro range, around the $94,000 area. Altcoin Sherpa weighed in on the cryptocurrency’s performance, stating that Bitcoin should have strong support between the $103,000-$108,000 levels, as the 200-day Exponential Moving Average (EMA) sits around the $104,000 mark. Related Reading: XRP Shows Strength Amid $3 Retest, But Analyst Warns Of Potential Correction However, analyst Ted Pillows considers that $124,000 appears to be the local top. He explained that, historically, Bitcoin’s bottoms occur after a retest of the weekly 60 EMA, which currently sits around the $92,000 support zone and has a CME gap. “In this scenario, Bitcoin will start a reversal after 3-4 weeks and a new ATH by November/December,” Ted concluded. As of this writing, Bitcoin trades at $107,947, a 7.5% decline in the weekly timeframe. Featured Image from Unsplash.com, Chart from TradingView.com
Bitcoin (BTC) is attempting to reclaim a crucial level as support after bouncing from the recent drop below $115,000. Nonetheless, some analysts warned that the cryptocurrency is entering a corrective phase with a potential 15%-25% drop. Related Reading: Analyst Predicts ‘Utility Run’ Will Send XRP Price To $100 Bitcoin Risks Drop Below $110,000 On Monday, Bitcoin fell below the $115,000 level for the first time in nearly two weeks, retesting the $114,500 support before bouncing. The flagship crypto has been hovering between its local price range since August 7, hitting its latest all-time high (ATH) of $124,200 before ultimately being rejected from the range highs. Now, some market watchers have affirmed that BTC has entered a corrective phase, which could send the cryptocurrency below other crucial support levels. Ali Martinez noted that the recent rejection “came in the form of a deviation, which often signals weakness and opens the door for deeper pullbacks.” According to the analyst, Bitcoin has been trading within the $112,000-$122,000 price range, suggesting that the local bottom is the next key support level to watch as momentum leans bearish. Notably, the cryptocurrency immediately bounced from today’s drop, reclaiming the recently lost $116,500 breakout level, and nearing the $117,000 area again. To the analyst, a confirmed rebound could reset bullish momentum, sending the price to the range highs. However, if BTC’s price drops again and the $112,000 support doesn’t hold, the cryptocurrency risks triggering a $4,000 drop to the $108,000 area. Martinez highlighted that on-chain data shows a liquidity grab between these two levels. Additionally, the Accumulation Trend Score, which dropped to 0.20, signals that holders are “redistributing their Bitcoin rather than accumulating at these levels.” Has The Price Discovery Correction Begun? Analyst Rekt Capital pointed out that BTC failed to hold the crucial $119,000 level as support on the weekly chart, closing on Sunday below its weekly bull flag pattern that had been developing since early July. According to a previous analysis, turning the pattern’s bottom into resistance would be a bearish retest that would confirm the breakdown from the pattern, and potentially lead to a new retest of the $112,000 area. Amid its recent performance, he asserted that Bitcoin has entered its second Price Discovery Correction, which has historically followed the second Price Discovery Uptrend peak, between weeks 5-7. “Interestingly, the upside wick that formed last week developed right at the finish line in Week 6 before pulling back. This upside wick was crucial because it came to save the historical cyclicality that we tend to see in price action across cycles,” the analyst explained, as the previous ATH formed in Week 2 of the second uptrend. Related Reading: Ethereum Store-of-Value Evolution: From Utility Token To Digital Reserve Asset Rekt Capital suggested that Bitcoin could be transitioning into a corrective period. Nonetheless, he noted that this corrective might not last as long as previous corrections, as at this moment of the 2017 and 2021 cycles, BTC pullbacks lasted between 1-3 weeks and were 25% and 29% deep, respectively. “In both cases, these pullbacks were shorter and shallower by the standards of the previous corrections in the respective cycles,” he detailed, concluding that BTC must “ideally resolve this pullback over the next handful of weeks and perform a relatively shallow pullback of -15% to -25%.” Featured Image from Unsplash.com, Chart from TradingView.com
After falling below a crucial support level, Bitcoin (BTC) is attempting to recover some of its lost ground. An analyst suggested that this week’s performance will be decisive for the cryptocurrency’s next trend. Related Reading: Pundit Says Ethereum Price Is Headed For $9,000 After This Broadening Wedge Retest Bitcoin Loses Bull Flag Formation Over the weekend, Bitcoin lost its post-breakout range for the first time in three weeks, falling to a local low of $112,296 on August 3. The flagship crypto had been trading between the $114,000-$120,000 range since the early July breakout, hitting its all-time high (ATH) of $122,838 amid the rally. As July neared its end, BTC experienced some volatility, retesting the range lows twice over its last week. However, the cryptocurrency was unable to repeat its price recovery from the previous weekend, losing the crucial area on August 1. Rekt Capital noted that Bitcoin’s rally could be at risk, explaining that BTC has formed a bull flag in the weekly chart and held the pattern’s lows as support until the latest Weekly Close. Following its recent price action, the analyst considers that this week’s performance will be pivotal to see whether the pattern’s bottom, around the $117,200 area, will become a new resistance and confirm the breakdown, or if the flagship crypto’s price will recover the structure. According to the analysis, if the price can reclaim the structure, the correction would be considered a fake downside deviation before resynchronizing with the pattern. Meanwhile, turning the pattern’s bottom into resistance would be a bearish retest, confirming the breakdown, and potentially leading to a new retest of the $112,000 area as support. BTC’s Weekly Close To Determine Next Trend Rekt Capital also detailed that this week’s performance will determine the future of BTC’s second Price Discovery uptrend, which has technically started its fifth week. Depending on what happens to the Bull Flag (reclaim or a confirmation of the breakdown), we will know whether the Price Discovery Uptrend 2 will continue or whether BTC has experienced a very short PDU2 instead. Last week, the analyst retesting that the continuation of the Price Discovery trend could fail as BTC transitioned into weeks 5-7 of this phase. Historically, the second uptrend has started to slow down around Weeks 5-6, hitting its peak during this “Danger Zone.” If Bitcoin reclaims the Bull Flag and challenges new highs, then its second Price Discovery uptrend will progress according to its historical tendencies. However, if it fails to Weekly Close above the pattern’s bottom and confirms additional downside, the second Price Discovery uptrend would have ended in Week 2, much quicker than has historically been the case. Moreover, it would reveal that BTC has been in its second Price Discovery Correction, which “would be going completely against the grain of history.” Related Reading: Analyst Warns XRP Investors Not To Let Fear Dictate Moves As Long As Price Holds This Level The analyst suggested that macro-wise, Bitcoin still has plenty of time for a third Price Discovery uptrend. If the second phase has already ended, a final uptrend could overcompensate for the current uptrend’s underperformance. Previously, Rekt Capital asserted that what comes after the second uptrend would depend on how long the corrective phase takes, as a shot correction could allow for a third uptrend before the bear market.
