In an X post shared earlier today, crypto analyst Ali Martinez noted that Bitcoin (BTC) is flashing a buy signal. Another analyst, Titan Of Crypto, highlighted that BTC is currently trading in a reversal zone – suggesting that the leading cryptocurrency may soon experience a shift in price momentum. Bitcoin Flashes Buy Signal Amid Market Pullback Compared to the price action seen last year, Q1 2025 has been relatively sluggish for digital assets. On a year-to-date (YTD) basis, BTC is down nearly 30%, dropping from around $97,600 on January 1 to approximately $78,000 at the time of writing. Related Reading: Shifting Sentiment? Short-Term Bitcoin Holders Stay Put Despite Losses Following yesterday’s tariff-induced crypto market pullback – which wiped over $140 billion from the total crypto market cap – BTC is now beginning to show early signs of strength. Martinez emphasized that Bitcoin is flashing a weekly TD Sequential buy signal. For the uninitiated, the weekly TD Sequential buy signal is a technical indicator that suggests a potential trend reversal or buying opportunity after a prolonged downtrend. It typically appears when a specific 9-count pattern completes, signalling that selling pressure may be exhausted and a price rebound could be near. Meanwhile, fellow crypto analyst Titan Of Crypto pointed out that BTC is trading within a potential reversal zone. He noted that as long as BTC remains above the 38.2% Fibonacci retracement level, the broader uptrend would remain intact. Additionally, Titan highlighted that BTC’s Fair Value Gap (FVG) at $80,000 has now been filled – a development that further boosts the case for a potential trend reversal or significant price action at current levels. To explain, an FVG is a price imbalance on a chart, often created by a strong move in one direction, where little to no trading occurred. It indicates a potential area where price may return to “fill the gap” before continuing its trend. Recent BTC Price Drop Not Out Of The Ordinary Another crypto analyst, Master Of Crypto, remarked that although the recent BTC price decline may have alarmed some investors, it’s well within the bounds of historical norms. The analyst pointed out that BTC is currently trading about 26.6% below its all-time high (ATH) of $109,500. The analyst added that besides the price pullback, BTC’s weekly Relative Strength Index (RSI) has also been trending down for five weeks. That said, technical indicators suggest that it may take more time before BTC sees a meaningful shift in price momentum. For instance, the top cryptocurrency recently flashed a death cross, a bearish pattern that could signal further short-term downside. At press time, BTC trades at $78,543, down 0.3% in the past 24 hours. Featured image from Unsplash, Charts from X, and TradingView.com
An analyst has pointed out how the Bitcoin Tom Demark (TD) Sequential has just given a signal that could be bullish for the asset’s price. Bitcoin TD Sequential Is Flashing A Buy Signal Right Now In a new post on X, analyst Ali Martinez has discussed about the TD Sequential signal that has just formed for Bitcoin on its daily chart. The “TD Sequential” here refers to an indicator from technical analysis (TA) that’s used for locating probable tops and bottoms in any asset’s price. Related Reading: Just 10 Holders Control 61.3% Of Shiba Inu Supply: How This Compares With Other Altcoins The indicator consists of two phases: setup and countdown. The end of each of these phases is assumed to coincide with a signal for a turnaround in the cryptocurrency. In the first phase, the setup, candles of the same color in the chart are counted up to nine. These candles don’t need to be consecutive, just that there should be nine of them. Once the ninth candle is in, the setup is said to be ‘complete,’ and the price can be considered to have reached a reversal. The second phase, the countdown, picks up right where the setup left. It works almost exactly in the same manner, with the one exception being that candles here are counted up to 13 instead. Following these 13 candles, the asset arrives at another point of likely trend exhaustion. Naturally, where the price would go after the end of either phase depends on the polarity of the candles involved in the phase’s completion. Green candles imply a reversal to the downside, while red ones suggest the formation of a bottom. Bitcoin has recently formed a TD Sequential signal of the first type. Here’s the chart shared by Martinez that shows the pattern in the coin’s daily price: From the graph, it’s visible that the 24-hour price of Bitcoin has finished a TD Sequential setup with nine red candles recently, which suggests the asset may be due a bullish reversal. In the chart, the analyst has also highlighted the last signal that the indicator gave for the cryptocurrency. It would appear that this previous signal was a sell one and it was also right on the mark as it coincided with last month’s price top. Related Reading: Bitcoin Still In Bull Market, On-Chain Indicator Confirms Given this pattern, it’s possible that the latest TD Sequential signal would also end up holding for Bitcoin. If so, it might finally help the asset shove off its recent bearish winds. Speaking of the TD Sequential, another top coin, Cardano (ADA), has also formed a signal recently, as Martinez has pointed out in another X post. As displayed in the below chart, the pattern is a bullish one for ADA as well. BTC Price Bitcoin slipped under the $95,000 level yesterday, but the asset has made some quick recovery in the past day as its price is now trading around $97,700. An analyst has revealed how XRP and Bitcoin are among the cryptocurrencies seeing a sell signal on the Tom Demark (TD) Sequential after the market recovery. XRP & Bitcoin Among Coins Seeing TD Sequential Sell Signal In a new post on X, analyst Ali Martinez has talked about the TD Sequential pattern that four top assets in the sector have formed recently. The “TD Sequential” refers to an indicator from technical analysis (TA) that’s used for locating probable points of reversal in any asset’s price. The indicator involves two phases: the setup and countdown. During the first of these, candles of the same color in the cryptocurrency’s chart are counted up to nine. These candles don’t have to be one after the other. Related Reading: Social Media Turns Bullish On Dogecoin, Solana As Market Rebounds Once the candles are in, the coin may be considered to have arrived at a spot of reversal. Naturally, this would suggest a shift to a downtrend if green candles completed the setup and that to the upside in case of red ones. As soon as the setup is done, the second phase, the countdown, begins. There isn’t anything different about how the countdown works, except for the fact that here thirteen candles are counted, not nine. This phase’s finish, too, can be assumed to coincide with a likely turnaround in the asset. Four cryptocurrencies, Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), XRP (XRP), and Solana (SOL) have completed a TD Sequential phase of the former type on their 4-hour prices recently. Here are the charts shared by the analyst that shows the trend leading up to this signal: As is visible in the above graphs, all of these assets have just finished a TD Sequential setup with nine green candles. These candles have corresponded to the recovery that the coins have enjoyed during the last couple of days. Considering what such a TD Sequential setup implies, though, this uptrend may not be here to stay for the cryptocurrency market. So far, XRP, Bitcoin, and the others have continued to rise despite this signal, but it remains to be seen how long the trend would last. In some other news, whale activity on the XRP network has witnessed an increase recently, as Martinez has pointed out in another X post. The chart shows the data for the “Whale Transaction Count” metric from the on-chain analytics firm Santiment. This indicator keeps track of the total amount of transfers taking place on the XRP network that are carrying a value of more than $1 million. The metric has seen a jump during the last couple of days and has hit a value of 341. This implies the whales are making a high number of moves on the blockchain right now. XRP Price At the time of writing, XRP is floating around $2.95, up more than 15% over the last 24 hours. Featured image from Dall-E, charts from TradingView.com
An analyst has explained how Bitcoin could witness a drop to the $40,600 level based on a pattern forming in its 2-month price chart. Bitcoin Has Seen A TD Sequential Sell Signal On Its 2-Month Price In a new post on X, analyst Ali Martinez has discussed about a Tom Demark (TD) Sequential signal that has formed in the 2-month price of Bitcoin. The TD Sequential is an indicator in technical analysis (TA) that’s generally used for spotting positions of probable reversal in any asset’s price. This indicator involves two phases: setup and countdown. In the first of these setups, candles of the same color (that is, whether red or green) are counted up to nine. After these nine candles are in, the asset could be assumed to have reached a point of turnaround. Related Reading: Bitcoin Investors Beware: MVRV Has Given Bear Market Signal Naturally, if the candles that led to the setup’s completion were green, then the TD Sequential would give a sell signal. Similarly, red candles could suggest a bottom may be here. Once the setup is done with, the second phase of the indicator, the countdown, begins. The countdown works much like the setup, with the main difference being that candles here are counted up to thirteen, instead of nine. Following these thirteen candles, the asset may be considered to have reached another potential top or bottom. Bitcoin has completed a TD Sequential phase of the former type recently. Here is the 2-month price chart of the cryptocurrency shared by the analyst, which shows this signal: As displayed in the above graph, the Bitcoin 2-month price has recently finished a TD Sequential setup with nine green candles, implying that the cryptocurrency may have encountered some kind of top. Since the signal has appeared, BTC has been on the way down, with its price currently under the $57,000 level. Thus, it’s possible that this pattern’s bearish effect may already be taking hold. As for how deep this drawdown can take Bitcoin, Martinez has pointed out the support level at $51,000. This level corresponds to the 0.236 Fibonacci Retracement level from the recent BTC top. Related Reading: Bitcoin, XRP See Declining Whale Activity: What It Means Fibonacci Retracement levels are based on the Fibonacci series, where dividing each number (beyond 5) in the series by the next numbers produces ratios that are consistent throughout the series. It’s possible that Bitcoin may find support at the next such important ratio, but the analyst notes that if the $51,000 support gets breached, the cryptocurrency could end up going all the way down to $40,600, which corresponds to the 0.382 Fibonacci Retracement level. In the scenario that BTC does end up revisiting this level, its price would have gone through a drawdown of more than 28% from the current level. It now remains to be seen how the asset’s trajectory plays out from here. BTC Price Bitcoin has furthered its latest decline during the past day as its price has now slipped to $56,600.
