After the initial frenzy in January, the coin’s price plummeted by 88% from $80 to $8.60. That slide erased roughly $65 billion in valuation. Today’s price reflects speculative trading rather than any long‑term adoption. Investors who rode the peak saw massive gains briefly, then steep losses just as quickly. Justin Sun’s Big Stake On May 20, 2025, Tron founder Justin Sun tweeted that he is TRUMP’s largest holder. He reportedly owns nearly $19 million worth of tokens after a $75 million investment in Trump’s World Liberty Financial platform. Sun’s position comes with perks. He won a “private dinner” alongside the top 220 token holders, securing a seat at US President Donald Trump’s Virginia golf club. TRON’s token TRX has barely budged despite a flurry of on‑chain action. Traders saw a 5% gain over the past week and a measly 0.50% uptick in the last 24 hours. But behind those mild price moves, there’s a storm of activity that could shape how TRX fares in the days ahead. Related Reading: The Silent Bitcoin Accumulation: Public Companies’ Surprising H1 2025 Lead Surge In On‑Chain Activity According to data from Artemis, daily transaction counts shot up to over 9 million, up from 7.5 million the day before. That jump in numbers sent active addresses soaring. On‑chain participants climbed to 2.7 million, marking the highest level since June 6. Based on reports, much of this traffic appears tied to stablecoin transfers rather than new users or fresh investment. The spike in transaction volume doesn’t match TRX’s price action. That gap hints at wallets moving funds out of exchanges, routing payments, or chasing yield elsewhere. Users aren’t rushing to hold TRX for its own sake. They’re using the network as a highway and then driving off into other chains. TRX market cap currently at $26.8 billion. Chart: TradingView Stablecoin Outflows Hit Record High According to Artemis, TRON’s stablecoin supply hit $80 billion in June, setting a new milestone for the network. Since then, about $185 million worth of stablecoins have fled the chain. That outflow marks a sharp reversal in user habits. People who once parked their USDT and other tokens on TRON look to be shifting them to new destinations. The pullback follows a broader rotation in crypto markets where investors chase better rates or lower fees. TRON once drew crowds for its low transaction costs. Now, competing chains and Layer 2 platforms are undercutting its edge. That has cut into TRX’s role as the network’s workhorse token. Revenue And TVL Take A Hit Artemis figures show that TRX’s total revenue plunged to just $114,000 in a single day. That number sits at a four‑year low. Network fees in TRON come from “bandwidth” and “energy,” so when users batch transfers or switch to zero‑fee bridges, fee income collapses fast. Based on data from DeFiLlama, total value locked on TRON protocols fell by 0.50% in 24 hours, a drop from $4.80 billion to $4.85 billion. That’s about $26 million walking out the door. While a half‑percent move might look small, it underlines a trend. Every million dollars that leaves makes it tougher for lending pools and yield farms to keep their rates up. Related Reading: Long-Term Bitcoin Holders Near Pain Point Last Seen In October 2024 Despite the outflows, TRX hasn’t broken key support levels yet. Tron (TRX) is currently navigating a prolonged consolidation phase that began in December 2024, with prices oscillating between key levels and no clear breakout direction in sight. Despite this range-bound action, Tron remains firmly in the spotlight as fundamental developments capture market attention. The most significant news came two weeks ago, when reports revealed that Tron is preparing to go public via a reverse merger with Nasdaq-listed SRM Entertainment. This potential listing could mark a major milestone for the blockchain platform, potentially making it the first major crypto network to enter US public markets directly. Related Reading: Solana Hits New Milestone: Wallets Holding 0.1+ SOL Reach Record High At the same time, on-chain data signals growing momentum beneath the surface. According to insights from CryptoQuant, DeFi activity on the Tron network has been steadily expanding. Rising transaction volumes, increasing deposits in JustLend, and record swap activity on SunSwap point to deepening liquidity and user engagement. These developments highlight a maturing ecosystem, but the market has yet to price in a breakout move. As consolidation continues, traders and investors are closely watching for the next major catalyst. Whether Tron’s public listing or accelerating DeFi traction triggers it remains to be seen, but momentum is quietly building. Tron DeFi Growth Signals Underlying Strength Tron is testing critical price levels after months of sideways movement, consolidating between $0.211 and $0.295. This range has acted as a structural base since late 2024, and a clean break in either direction could determine Tron’s next major trend. A breakout above $0.295 would likely trigger fresh momentum toward new local highs, while failure to hold support could expose the asset to deeper corrections. While the broader crypto market anticipates upward expansion—supported by the rally in US equities and a more stable macro backdrop—Tron remains trapped in this tight band. Volatility persists, and without a decisive breakout, market participants remain cautious. Still, underlying fundamentals suggest TRX may be quietly gathering strength. According to CryptoQuant data, DeFi activity on the Tron network is rising rapidly. SunSwap has surpassed $3 billion in monthly swap volume consistently throughout 2025, with May setting a record at $3.8 billion. Meanwhile, JustLend deposits have more than tripled year-to-date, peaking at $740 million. These developments point to deepening liquidity and growing demand across Tron’s DeFi ecosystem. Stablecoin inflows and increasing borrowing activity further reinforce Tron’s expanding utility, suggesting the network is becoming a robust settlement layer. While the price remains range-bound for now, the fundamentals hint at a strong foundation for future upside, once the technical breakout finally materializes. Related Reading: Tron Shows Adoption Strength As Volume Still Led By Big Transfers – Details TRX Price Consolidates Near Resistance TRX is currently trading around $0.2813, maintaining its position near the upper boundary of the long-standing consolidation range that began in December 2024. The asset has shown resilience above the 50-day, 100-day, and 200-day moving averages, all of which are trending upward, supporting the bullish outlook. The 50-day SMA at $0.2508 and the 100-day SMA at $0.2289 are providing dynamic support, indicating strong buyer interest on dips. Price action throughout June remained sideways, with low volatility and volume consistent with a classic consolidation phase. Despite multiple rejections below the $0.295 resistance, TRX has not shown any signs of structural weakness, holding firmly above $0.26–$0.27 and gradually building pressure toward a breakout. Related Reading: Bitcoin Dominance Shows Bearish Divergence – Altseason Could Be Near Volume has remained stable, though not yet signaling the kind of breakout momentum that would confirm a move into higher price discovery. While the broader crypto market experienced a downturn with a 2.7% decline in total market cap over the past 24 hours, TRON (TRX) managed to move in the opposite direction. TRX recorded a 0.6% gain during the same timeframe, bringing its current trading price to $0.2788. Zooming out to a weekly view, TRON has posted a 2.4% increase, standing out among major assets amid an otherwise lukewarm market. This movement has caught the attention of on-chain analysts tracking deeper signals in the TRON ecosystem. According to CryptoQuant analyst Darkfost, TRON’s long-term price behavior reveals increasing resilience and a diminishing susceptibility to extreme volatility. Related Reading: Tron’s 374% Profit-Taking Spree Uncovered—Here’s Who Was Behind It Reduced Drawdowns Point to Market Maturity In a recent post titled “TRX Drawdowns Highlight Growing Resilience,” Darkfost shared drawdown analysis as evidence that TRON has become structurally more stable over time. He explained that drawdown metrics, which measure the peak-to-trough decline in an asset’s price, can serve as a reliable tool for identifying strategic market entry points. Darkfost highlighted four major TRX drawdown periods since 2020: a 61% drop in March 2020, a 70% fall in June 2021, a 55% decline in January 2022, and a 40% decrease in January 2025. Each of these correction phases was followed by significant recoveries. However, the drawdown depth has consistently decreased with each cycle, a development the analyst interprets as a sign of increasing investor confidence and capital retention in the TRON network. “With TRX now trading around $0.27, each of these drawdowns has proven to be profitable in hindsight,” Darkfost noted. He added that the trend suggests that TRON is evolving into a more stable asset class with stronger market positioning. Contributing to this stability is the ongoing flow of capital and growing ecosystem usage, particularly for stablecoin transactions. TRON has become a dominant layer for Tether (USDT) transfers, and data from CryptoQuant analyst Maartunn supports this view. TRON Surpasses Ethereum in Stablecoin Settlement In a separate post, Maartunn reported that TRON processed a record $23.4 billion in daily USDT transfers on June 25, 2025, an all-time high for the network. This figure significantly surpasses the $9.9 billion handled by Ethereum on the same day, highlighting the divergence between the two blockchains. Maartunn pointed out that TRON has outperformed Ethereum in USDT transfer volume since mid-2022, noting that the gap between the two networks continues to widen. “The chart doesn’t just show a record; it highlights the growing gap between TRON and Ethereum,” he wrote. While Ethereum’s USDT activity has declined roughly 39% since its November 2024 peak, TRON remains in an upward trend. This transition signals a growing role for TRON as the main settlement layer for Tether transactions, while Ethereum appears to be shifting toward other use cases. Tron (TRX) is once again in the spotlight as it tests the upper and lower boundaries of a key consolidation range that has held for months. The price has been oscillating between $0.211 and $0.295—a range that has acted as both support and resistance since the start of the year. With volatility gradually returning to the crypto market, a breakout from this zone could set the stage for a major directional move. A confirmed push above $0.295 could open the door for a rally toward uncharted territory, while a break below $0.211 might signal a deeper correction. Related Reading: Strong Ethereum Accumulation Detected: LTH Buying Heavy During June Consolidation According to new data from CryptoQuant, large transactions are currently driving volume dominance on the Tron network. While the majority of transactions on TRON are under $1,000 in size—showing that retail users are actively engaged—it is the high-value transfers that account for most of the total volume, highlighting growing institutional or whale interest in the network. As broader market conditions remain uncertain and altcoins begin to show signs of life, the coming weeks will be critical for TRX. Whether bulls or bears take control will likely depend on how the price reacts to this well-defined consolidation range. Tron Eyes Expansion Amid Growing Network Activity Tron has captured significant attention in recent weeks, driven by a combination of major announcements and strong on-chain activity. A report two weeks ago revealed that Tron is preparing to go public via a reverse merger with Nasdaq-listed SRM Entertainment. While full details have yet to be confirmed by official channels, sources familiar with the matter suggest the process is underway. If completed, this move could mark a historic moment for the blockchain space, giving Tron greater exposure to traditional investors and boosting institutional legitimacy. Despite these developments, price action remains locked in a consolidation phase. The broader market’s volatility and macro uncertainty continue to suppress directional momentum for TRX. However, network fundamentals tell a different story—Tron’s on-chain activity is booming. Top analyst Darkfost highlighted a key insight: large transactions currently drive volume dominance on the TRON network. Although more than 1 million USDT transactions on TRON are below $1,000, just 16,000 transfers above $100,000 dominate in terms of volume. This divergence shows that while retail usage is high, major players are still actively moving large amounts of capital on the network. The consistent dominance of small transfers reflects Tron’s accessibility and everyday utility among users, while the growing transaction count signals expanding adoption. Together, these factors suggest that Tron is building strong foundations, regardless of short-term price direction. The coming weeks could be pivotal, especially if the public listing advances and TRX breaks its multi-month price range. Related Reading: Bitcoin Dominance Shows Bearish Divergence – Altseason Could Be Near TRX Consolidates Near Resistance Amid Growing Momentum Tron is currently trading at $0.2787 after several weeks of sideways movement, as shown in the chart. The asset remains in a well-defined consolidation range between the $0.211 support zone and the $0.295 resistance. Despite several attempts, TRX has been unable to decisively break through the upper boundary, signaling market hesitation. However, the overall price structure remains constructive. The 50-day, 100-day, and 200-day simple moving averages (SMA) are all trending upward, with price currently testing the 50-day SMA as dynamic resistance. This alignment supports the argument for a longer-term bullish structure, even as short-term consolidation continues. Volume has slightly picked up in recent days, suggesting a growing interest among traders. A clear breakout above $0.295 would likely trigger a new upward phase and bring fresh highs into play. Until then, traders are watching for confirmation, as the market tests the upper boundary of the range. Related Reading: Ethereum Sees $269M In Net Inflows In 24H – Bullish Momentum Accelerates With strong fundamentals, increasing on-chain activity, and speculation about Tron’s public listing via reverse merger, momentum could accelerate soon. On-chain data shows Tron (TRX) observed a large profit-taking spike earlier in the month. Which type of holder was responsible for the move? Tron SOPR Saw A Huge Spike Earlier In The Month In a CryptoQuant Quicktake post, analyst Maartunn has talked about the recent trend in the Spent Output Profit Ratio (SOPR) of Tron. The SOPR refers to an on-chain indicator that tells us about whether the TRX investors are moving or selling their coins at a profit or loss. The indicator works by going through the transfer history of each coin being moved to see what price it was last transacted at. Coins that have this cost basis above the current spot price are contributing to loss realization, while those with the opposite setup to profit realization. Related Reading: Crypto Bears Rekt: $359M Gone As Bitcoin, Ethereum Rebound The SOPR takes the ratio between the spent value and cost basis, and sums it up for all coins being sold on the blockchain to find a net situation for the market as a whole. When the value of the indicator is greater than 1, it means the investors are, on average, realizing a profit through their transactions. On the other hand, the metric being under this threshold suggests the dominance of loss realization in the market. Now, here is the chart shared by the quant that shows the trend in the Tron SOPR over the past year: As displayed in the above graph, the Tron SOPR saw a huge spike above the 1 mark earlier in the month, implying investors took part in a significant amount of profit-taking. From the chart, it’s also visible that there were other profit realization spikes during the past year, but the current one stands out for its scale. The latest peak in the metric saw its value go to 4.74, corresponding to a profit margin of 374%. “With TRX priced at $0.268 at the time, the average acquisition price for those coins would have been around $0.0566,” explains Maartunn. Interestingly, Tron hasn’t seen extended periods around this price mark since late 2022, meaning that the tokens would have been held for a good while before being finally transacted this month. Usually, when dormant hands break their silence, it’s likely to be for selling-related purposes. That said, it’s not the only reason they may do so. “The activity could be tied to early investors realizing gains, internal transfers, or reallocation decisions,” notes the analyst. Tron (TRX) has captured investor attention once again with major developments surrounding its future. On Monday, Nasdaq-listed SRM Entertainment (SRM.O) confirmed a strategic agreement with Tron founder Justin Sun. The deal will see SRM acquire Tron tokens, rebrand itself as “Tron Inc.,” and onboard Sun as an adviser, effectively bringing Tron closer to becoming a publicly traded entity. This marks a historic shift for the blockchain industry and positions Tron in a unique space among crypto projects. Related Reading: Solana Analyst Sees $123 And $116 As Mid-Zone Support Levels – Here’s Why However, the market backdrop is anything but calm. Rising geopolitical tensions in the Middle East have sparked sharp volatility across risk assets, including Tron. While the token’s price has fluctuated significantly, long-term metrics suggest underlying strength in the network. According to new CryptoQuant data, TRON’s total daily energy consumption—an important measure of smart contract execution and user activity—has surged 108% year-over-year. It now sits at 200 billion energy units per day, compared to just 77 billion a year ago. Notably, 80% of this demand originates from staked TRX, indicating robust participation in the protocol and a significant increase in smart contract interactions. Together, these factors underscore Tron’s growing relevance as both a technical platform and a public-facing blockchain enterprise. Tron Trades Near Key Demand Amid Broader Market Pullback Tron is currently testing key demand levels after a 9% correction from its recent high near $0.295. The price had briefly surged on Monday after the announcement of Tron’s plans to go public through a deal with Nasdaq-listed SRM Entertainment. However, the excitement was short-lived. As macroeconomic uncertainty deepens and Middle East conflicts escalate, the entire crypto market has entered a retracement phase, dragging TRX below the levels it traded at prior to the news. Despite the challenging conditions, on-chain fundamentals paint a much more resilient picture. CryptoQuant data shows that Tron’s network activity remains robust, with energy consumption—used to execute smart contracts—up 108% year-over-year. Total daily energy usage now exceeds 200 billion units, compared to just 77 billion at the same time last year. This surge in energy use signals growing demand for on-chain operations and smart contract execution. Importantly, about 80% of this energy demand comes from staked TRX, pointing to strong user commitment to the network and increased participation in decentralized applications. The divergence between TRX’s on-chain strength and its current price performance suggests that the recent pullback may be more about broader market stress than any deterioration in Tron’s fundamentals. If volatility stabilizes, these robust activity metrics could help position Tron for a strong recovery. Related Reading: Ethereum Prepares For A Decisive Move: ETH/BTC Setup Could Trigger Altseason TRX Price Holds Trendline Support Despite Volatile Reversal Tron is currently trading at $0.2730, showing a modest 9% pullback from the $0.295 high reached earlier this week following the announcement of a deal involving SRM Entertainment. Price action in the chart reflects this volatile reaction—after spiking, TRX retraced sharply and is now consolidating just above the 50-day moving average (blue line), which has acted as dynamic support over the past two months. Despite this pullback, the structure remains bullish. TRX continues to respect the long-term ascending trendline formed since early March, with higher lows being maintained. Volume surged during the initial rally on the announcement but has since returned to pre-news levels, indicating fading short-term hype and a return to fundamentals. Looking at the broader setup, the 100-day and 200-day moving averages (green and red lines) remain sloped upward, reflecting sustained long-term momentum. The $0.269–$0.253 support band, defined by these MAs, will be key if further downside pressure materializes. Related Reading: Ethereum Analyst Eyes High Timeframe Close – Range Break Above $2,800 Could Be Violent A break above $0.295 would invalidate this short-term pullback and potentially ignite a move toward $0.32. Tron has captured renewed attention following a major development: its planned entry into public markets. Justin Sun, Tron’s founder, has reached a deal with Nasdaq-listed SRM Entertainment (SRM.O), under which SRM will acquire Tron-related tokens, rebrand as Tron Inc., and appoint Sun as an adviser. This move marks a significant step in bridging the gap between blockchain projects and traditional finance, potentially making Tron one of the first major public blockchain entities. Related Reading: Ethereum Golden Cross Approaching – Will History Repeat? Meanwhile, rising geopolitical tensions in the Middle East have sparked volatility across the broader crypto market, including Tron. Despite this uncertain macro environment, Tron’s on-chain fundamentals remain strong. Top analyst Darkfost shared data showing that Tron’s daily transaction volume has surged from 2.5 million in 2021 to over 9 million today. This exponential growth underscores a sharp rise in user activity and developer engagement across the network. The sustained increase in transaction volume also reflects growing confidence in Tron’s infrastructure as a scalable and reliable alternative to other high-throughput blockchains. With both institutional exposure via SRM and strong on-chain growth, Tron finds itself at a pivotal moment in its evolution—one that could reshape its trajectory in the months ahead. Tron Retraces After Public Listing Surge: Network Fundamentals Remain Strong Tron is currently trading around key demand levels after a sharp retrace from Monday’s breakout rally. The surge—triggered by the announcement that Tron would go public via a deal with Nasdaq-listed SRM Entertainment—briefly sent TRX up over 9%, generating widespread attention. However, escalating tensions between Israel and Iran have weighed on market sentiment, dragging the price back to pre-announcement levels. Despite short-term volatility, Tron’s fundamentals continue to paint a bullish picture. According to Darkfost, the Tron blockchain has demonstrated strong and consistent growth since 2021. Daily transaction volumes have risen from 2.5 million to over 9 million, reflecting increasing adoption and sustained demand for its infrastructure. This activity surge signals heightened investor interest and developer confidence in the network. Yet, high volume alone doesn’t guarantee quality. What sets Tron apart is its impressive transaction success rate, which has remained above 96% throughout this growth phase. This reliability counters criticisms often aimed at other high-throughput chains like Solana, where failed or spammy transactions can inflate metrics. Additionally, Tron’s block production has remained stable and linear, showcasing its operational consistency. Even amid rising global transaction fees, Tron continues to attract usage, suggesting that users still view it as a cost-effective, scalable solution. This blend of high performance, strong demand, and network resilience positions Tron as one of the most technically mature blockchains in the current market cycle. If macro conditions stabilize, Tron’s public listing and robust on-chain metrics could reignite bullish momentum. Related Reading: Bitcoin Holds Strong Despite Israel-Iran Tensions – Weekly Resistance Begins To Crack TRX Price Analysis: Key Support Levels Hold Tron (TRX) is currently trading at approximately $0.273, consolidating just above the 50-day simple moving average (SMA), which sits around $0.268. After a sharp spike on Monday that pushed the price toward $0.30 following the announcement of Tron going public, the price retraced back to pre-announcement levels amid escalating geopolitical tensions in the Middle East. Despite this pullback, TRX remains in a bullish structure on the daily chart. The 100-day and 200-day SMAs, currently around $0.252 and $0.253, respectively, continue to trend upward and act as solid dynamic support, confirming that the medium- to long-term trend remains intact. Volume surged on the breakout but has since cooled, which is expected during periods of consolidation. Technically, TRX is forming a higher low structure while staying within a broader uptrend that began in late March. As long as the price holds above the $0.268 support level, bulls may attempt another push toward $0.285 and potentially retest the recent high near $0.30. Related Reading: Ethereum Consolidation Continues – Altseason May Follow A Clean Break Above Resistance A break below $0.268 could invalidate the bullish momentum and trigger a move toward the $0.252–$0.255 zone. The Tron (TRX) Sharpe Ratio suggests the cryptocurrency’s price may be far from overheating, a sign that the coin could have more upside potential. Tron Sharpe Ratio Is Still Significantly Below Overheating Zone In a CryptoQuant Quicktake post, an analyst has talked about the latest trend in the Sharpe Ratio of Tron. The “Sharpe Ratio” refers to an indicator that compares the returns of an asset against the risk associated with it. The numerator in the ratio, the ‘returns’ portion, is defined as the difference between the average return of the coin and the risk-free return (that is, the theoretical return involved with an asset carrying zero risk) over a given period. The denominator, the ‘risk’ part, is the asset’s standard deviation of returns over the same window (in other words, its volatility). Related Reading: Bitcoin Options Traders Expect Quiet—But On-Chain Data Suggests Chaos When the value of this metric is greater than 1, it means the cryptocurrency is printing returns that outweigh its risk. On the other hand, it being under the threshold suggests the asset’s performance has been lackluster compared to its volatility. Now, here is a chart that shows the trend in the Tron Sharpe Ratio over the last few years: As displayed in the above graph, the Tron Sharpe Ratio fell below the 1 level earlier, but its value has since returned above the mark. According to the quant, the metric being above the level has historically accompanied bullish price action. An extremely high value, however, has proven to be an overheating signal, with the asset tending to arrive at a top. “Whenever the Adjusted Sharpe Ratio climbs above 40, it often signals a market that’s overheating,” explains the analyst. “In the past, readings over 40 have lined up well with local tops.” So far since its return above 1, the Tron Sharpe Ratio has only managed to reach a high of 8.3, which is clearly significantly below this cutoff. This trend could mean that TRX hasn’t been too overheated. “With TRX’s Sharpe Ratio still far from historical peaks, the data suggests there’s plenty of upside room for a potential bull run in 2025,” says the quant. It now remains to be seen how the coin will develop in the near future, given this pattern. Related Reading: Ethereum To $3,400? Those stats suggest people keep coming back to DeFi apps on Tron, but it’s worth watching whether those funds stay in place or chase higher yields on other chains. Bullish Bets in Derivatives Based on CoinGlass data, TRX derivatives open interest rose by 8.25% over the past 24 hours to $329 million. The weighted funding rate open interest rose to 0.0098%, indicative that bullish long positions are greater than shorts. Short liquidations in the past day were almost double that of longs, which settled a bearish bet wave. Technical analysis supports this positive perspective. Tron (TRX) has experienced positive price action recently, aligning with the upward trend seen across the broader cryptocurrency market. In the past 24 hours, TRX climbed approximately 3.9%, reaching a trading value of $0.294. Despite these recent gains, Tron remains significantly below its all-time high of $0.43, set in December 2024, representing roughly a 31.8% decrease from that peak. This upward trajectory coincides with notable stablecoin activity on the Tron network, particularly involving Tether’s USDT token. Recently, a substantial minting event involving USDT occurred, signaling increased liquidity and potential market demand. Related Reading: TRON Surges Past 8 Million Daily Transactions as TRX Holds Above $0.27 Significant USDT Minting Event on Tron Amr Taha, an analyst from CryptoQuant’s QuickTake Platform, highlighted a significant event occurring on the Tron blockchain involving Tether’s stablecoin, USDT. According to Taha’s report titled “Tether Treasury mints $1 billion USDT on TRON prior to Bitcoin reaching $110,000,” the Tether Treasury recently issued 1 billion new USDT tokens on the Tron blockchain on June 9, 2025. This mint represents the largest single issuance of USDT on Tron for the month so far, emphasizing the network’s increasing relevance for stablecoin transactions. Taha noted that two primary factors likely drove this sizable minting event. First, it points toward elevated market demand for stablecoins, particularly within Tron’s ecosystem, known for low transaction fees and high-speed transfers. Second, the minting could signal significant institutional activity or preparations for substantial over-the-counter (OTC) crypto trades. Historically, such minting events tend to precede increased trading activity as investors leverage newly injected liquidity into the markets. The introduction of additional stablecoin liquidity typically boosts overall cryptocurrency market conditions, potentially providing support during periods when traditional financial markets are less robust. Divergent Trends: Rising TRX Price and Declining TVL Meanwhile, separate on-chain analysis by CryptoQuant contributor Joao Wedson noted a sharp decrease of nearly $2 billion in the total value locked (TVL) within lending protocols on Tron. This recent drop in TVL contrasts notably with the rising price of TRX, marking a divergence that raises intriguing questions for investors. Wedson pointed out that historically, reduced TVL in lending platforms on Tron has correlated with upward price movements for TRX, as previously observed in early 2024. TRON (TRX) has experienced relatively stable price movement over the past week, fluctuating within a narrow range between $0.276 and $0.272. At the time of writing, the token is trading at $0.2729, reflecting a weekly decline of approximately 1.5%. However, zooming out reveals a broader uptrend, with TRX gaining nearly 12% over the past month, indicating growing market interest amid a backdrop of increased on-chain activity. An assessment of TRON’s network-level data suggests the blockchain is experiencing a surge in usage. According to a recent analysis published on CryptoQuant’s QuickTake platform by contributor Darkfost, daily transaction volume on the TRON network has crossed the 8 million mark, a notable increase from earlier this year. This growth in network transactions is considered a critical indicator of underlying demand and user engagement, which could influence market sentiment around the asset. Related Reading: TRON Activity Hits All-Time High, Is a TRX Price Breakout Coming? Transaction Volume and Address Activity Show Strong Network Engagement Darkfost noted that TRON’s monthly average for daily transactions has seen consistent growth, with recent data showing a roughly 2 million increase in average daily transactions since February. The network is now processing over 8 million transactions per day, marking a more than 30% rise over the past four months. Importantly, a large share of these transactions is occurring outside centralized exchanges, pointing to the growing utility of the blockchain for peer-to-peer transfers and decentralized application (dApp) usage. This shift away from centralized platforms may reflect increased interest in TRON’s native ecosystem services and its competitive yield offerings. As more users interact directly with the network, transaction-based liquidity grows, which can contribute to stronger economic activity across the TRON protocol. Darkfost emphasized that this trend of non-exchange transactions is a positive signal for the blockchain’s real-world usage and investor adoption. TRON Active Address Metrics Reach New Highs In a separate update, CryptoQuant analyst Cryptoonchain highlighted that both the 50-day and 100-day moving averages for active addresses on the TRON network have hit their highest levels to date. This sustained rise in active wallet participation suggests a growing user base that is consistently interacting with the blockchain. While TRX’s price has not fully kept pace with the uptick in address activity, historical trends suggest that increased user engagement often precedes upward price movement. TRON (TRX) is seeing a continued lift in price alongside broader gains across the crypto market. As of today, TRX is trading just above $0.27, marking a 1.2% increase over the past 24 hours. The move reflects a coordinated uptick in digital asset valuations, with the global cryptocurrency market capitalization climbing nearly 1% to a current total of approximately $3.47 trillion. This price action comes as on-chain data suggests increased user engagement on the TRON network. The 50-day and 100-day metrics, which smooth out short-term fluctuations to show longer-term engagement trends, are currently at their highest points since tracking began. Historically, sustained increases in this metric have preceded upward price movement in TRX, though the price growth has yet to fully reflect the spike in activity. The analyst also emphasized that while TRX has been rising, the network’s user participation appears to be outpacing the token’s market performance. This divergence suggests that underlying demand is building, potentially laying the groundwork for future gains if the trend continues. Meanwhile, traders often view network activity as a leading indicator of value in proof-of-stake chains like TRON, where user interaction can drive both sentiment and transaction volume. SunPump Token Activity Emerges as TRON Price Indicator In a separate CryptoQuant post, analyst “BorisVest” highlighted the role of SunPump tokens in shaping TRON’s price dynamics. SunPump is a tool used for creating tokens on the TRON network, and its activity appears to correlate with TRX market trends. According to the analysis, periods of intense token creation, often driven by hype, bots, or speculative launches, can signal short-term tops in TRX price, especially if the token’s value doesn’t keep pace with the burst in network activity. Related Reading: TRON’s Correlation With Bitcoin Could Mean Massive Gains, Here’s Why Conversely, when activity on SunPump slows down, TRX has historically drifted lower toward local bottoms, often indicating reduced selling pressure. More stable growth in token creation, when aligned with a gradual rise in TRX price, has been associated with healthier and more sustained rallies. BorisVest suggests that tracking these token dynamics can provide insights into TRON’s market rhythm, offering a potential framework for identifying accumulation zones or overheated conditions. A surge of stablecoin transactions marked May as a standout month for the crypto sector. It moved beyond mere token swaps. Lots of people and services turned to dollar-pegged coins for moving value. Activity hit fresh highs, hinting that stablecoins are now the main channel for on-chain payments. Related Reading: XRP Could Transform Your Finances Long Before $10K, Angel Investor Says Spike In Wallet Activity According to Artemis data, more than 33 million wallets sent or received stablecoins during May. That’s a big jump compared with earlier months. It shows more folks are leaning on these digital dollars than on native tokens. Many traders, DeFi users, and everyday people tapped stablecoins to keep their funds tied to the US dollar. This wave of usage also came as the wider market showed signs of life, with prices slowly rising and confidence climbing. Shift To Faster Networks Based on reports, BNB Smart Chain counted over 10 million active wallets for stablecoin moves early in May. TRON came very close, with a little over 9 million wallets during that same stretch. These two networks are cheap and quick. Folks want to dodge higher fees on older chains. By month’s end, both BNB Smart Chain and TRON could top those numbers again. That trend speaks to growing demand for fast, low-cost payments and DeFi deals. Ethereum simply can’t match these lower fees right now. Stablecoin Supply Growth Stablecoins also saw more tokens enter circulation. The total supply grew to $244 billion, up nearly 3% in just one month. But not all coins minted equally. Tether’s USDT remained the heavyweight champion. It added nearly $4 billion to its total supply in May alone. Most of that new USDT landed on TRON. Today, TRON holds nearly $78 billion in USDT, while Ethereum carries $73 billion. In sum, USDT’s overall supply now tops $153 billion and added tokens almost every day. USDC moved in the opposite direction. Its supply dipped slightly, thanks to outflows on Solana. Still, USDC keeps about $60 billion circulating across all its chains. Related Reading: Pepe Makes It To Trump’s Feed—Is A Crypto Endorsement Next? Payments And Bridges Overtake Cards Stablecoins didn’t just grow in supply and usage. They carried huge volumes of payments. Over the past 30 days, those coins moved over $2 trillion worth of value. That level beats what many debit and credit cards handled in the same span. For example, Visa’s volumes were lower than what stablecoins saw. Plus, USDC’s cross-chain moves spiked. The CCTP bridge saw $7.7 billion flow through it, up 83% month-on-month. That rush of bridging means more people are shuttling dollars between networks for trades, lending, or simple transfers. The Tron price has continued on its recovery path since reaching a bottom in mid-March, steadily climbing almost every week. Mirroring the improving crypto market sentiment, the price of TRX maintained a level of stability in its bullish momentum throughout the month of May as it slowly ascended to a local high above $0.28.  However, the slow-and-steady growth of the cryptocurrency was met with a significant obstacle over the past week, reflecting what seems to be a return of bearish sentiment in the altcoin market. Here’s a look at the possible reason why the Tron price might be struggling at the moment. Tron Sellers Gain Traction: Spot CVD Data In a Quicktake post on the CryptoQuant platform, on-chain analyst Burak Kesmeci published data from his analysis, pegging Tron’s dip in value to as high as 5.48% in 48 hours. Kesmeci’s analysis revolved around the Spot Taker CVD (Cumulative Volume Delta, 90-Day) metric, which tracks by volume the net difference between market buys (Taker Buy) and market sells (Taker Sell) over a period of 90 days.  Related Reading: XRP Set For Price Relief, But Only If Bulls Defend Key $2.13 Price Level – Details According to the crypto pundit, a positive and rising value of the CVD metric indicates a higher Taker Buy volume and the dominance of buyers in the market. On the flip side, a negative or dropping value of the on-chain indicator reflects a higher Taker Sell volume and suggests that sellers are overwhelming the market.  Data from Kesmeci’s publication shows how the market devolved from being dominated by the buyers to being bearish. The chart below shows a transition from green bars (Taker Buy Dominant) to red bars (Taker Sell Dominant). The shift from buys to sells became evident from around May 22nd and has since intensified, leading to a steady decline in the price of Tron. However, the Cumulative Volume Delta (marked in gray) has shown neutral on-chain action over the last few days. Caution In The Market Warranted Kesmeci, in his conclusion, stated that if this negative CVD trend were to continue, it could signal further correction in Tron’s price. The relatively neutral state of current on-chain activity, though, suggests that investors’ uncertainty about the future trajectory of the cryptocurrency. Over the past week, the Tron (TRX) market recorded a choppy price action, eventually resulting in a 2.10% price decline. Amidst the crypto market euphoria seen in the past two months, TRX has maintained a steady price growth reporting percentage increase of 17.39% since the beginning of April.  Interestingly, prominent crypto analyst Burak Kesmeci has shared an intriguing market insight that indicates TRX is likely to remain on the uptrend for the foreseeable future. Related Reading: Bullish Candle Formation Suggests The XRP Price Could Touch $22 TRX Futures Market Signals Good Accumulation Opportunity  In an X post on May 30, Burak Kesmeci postulated that TRX remains in a prime position for further price gains based on developments in futures retail activity. Using data from CryptoQuant, the analyst explains that TRX previously reached a market of $0.45 in December 2024 which aligned with a period of peak retail speculation as indicated by the cluster of red dots on the chart.  During this period, many traders likely leveraged long, trading the rally in anticipation of a sustained price uptrend. However, TRX prices soon crashed to $0.21 during a broader market correction that lasted for the majority of the first trimester of 2025. This period is marked by a sparse amount of gray dots suggesting a neutral retail participation in the futures market. Amidst resumed crypto bull market rebound, TRX prices have risen to around $0.27. However, retail activity has remained neutral with no significant uptick in speculation or emergence of a “mad crowd” as seen in December 2024.  According to Burak Kesmeci, these findings indicate there is significant potential for an upswing in the TRX market as retail futures activity is far from overheated. However, there is a need for macroeconomic and geopolitical tensions to subside before these projected gains can occur. Recently, the crypto market produced a negative reaction to reports of the US and China failing to find a common ground in an ongoing trade talk amidst a 90-day truce before both countries. TRON (TRX) has been gaining upward momentum alongside the broader cryptocurrency market, reflecting strong price performance in recent weeks. The crypto asset has climbed over 10% in the past month, with its current price at $0.2748, reflecting a modest 0.7% increase in the past 24 hours. While not grabbing headlines with dramatic surges, TRX’s steady growth aligns closely with the broader bullish cycle led by Bitcoin (BTC), suggesting that it may benefit from macro-level investor sentiment. A recent analysis by Carmelo Alemán, a contributor to CryptoQuant’s QuickTake platform, highlights the increasing relevance of TRON in this market phase. Related Reading: Tron Bulls Regain Control – On-Chain Data Shows Fresh Buying Pressure Bitcoin Correlation Fuels Investor Optimism Alemán’s report, titled “The Crypto Elite Grows with Bitcoin and Why TRX Holds a Special Place,” explores how assets that demonstrate high correlation with Bitcoin, such as TRX, tend to mirror BTC’s market movements. This statistical connection, typically measured through correlation coefficients like Pearson’s, means that Bitcoin’s gains or retracements often influence similar movements in tokens like TRON. According to Alemán, the ongoing Bitcoin bull market, expected by some to last through Q4 2025, sets a favorable context for assets with strong historical correlation to BTC. Tokens, including TRX, SUI, ADA, XLM, HBAR, and Litecoin, are often observed to track Bitcoin’s behavior, rising during rallies and pulling back during corrections. For many investors, these assets present attractive opportunities given their lower market capitalizations compared to Bitcoin, making them capable of delivering larger percentage gains during bullish conditions. The analyst said: In practical terms, Bitcoin is unlikely to grow more than 2x from its current price, whereas highly correlated tokens could triple, quadruple, or more, simply because their smaller market caps make such expansions more feasible. In particular, Alemán draws attention to TRON’s upward momentum and growing network activity, especially in Asia. Notably, TRON recently surpassed Ethereum in the volume of USDT (Tether) issued on its network, signaling a shift in real-world utility and adoption. Alemán wrote: This is no small development: it reflects a restructuring in real network usage, and suggests that Tron could multiply significantly in value in the coming months, as it continues to move in tandem with Bitcoin’s trend. TRON Long-Term Growth Potential Beyond price action, Alemán also underscores TRON’s position in strategic portfolio planning. Because of its correlation with Bitcoin and its smaller relative size, TRON offers potential leverage to BTC’s market cycles. For long-term holders and tactical traders alike, this dynamic presents opportunities for outperformance during phases of sustained Bitcoin growth. Related Reading: TRON Accumulation Phase Detected—Major Price Surge Coming Alemán concludes by advising market participants to remain attentive to on-chain indicators and inter-asset relationships, emphasizing that informed decisions based on correlation dynamics could enhance portfolio returns during this cycle. While Bitcoin and other major cryptocurrencies have surged to new all-time highs, Tron (TRX) has remained in a tight consolidation range. Despite the broader market’s bullish momentum, TRX is still trading nearly 66% below its early December peak. However, this lagging price action has not gone unnoticed—investors and analysts are increasingly watching Tron as a potential breakout candidate. Related Reading: Ethereum Holds Above Key Prices – Data Points To $2,900 Level As Bullish Trigger As one of the top-performing Layer-1 blockchains over the past year, Tron’s fundamentals remain strong. The network continues to lead in stablecoin settlement volume and user activity, positioning it well for renewed upside if altcoins follow Bitcoin’s lead. Recent on-chain data from CryptoQuant adds to the optimism: the Buy/Sell Pressure Delta, which measures net buying or selling activity over the past 90 days, shows that TRX has re-entered a buying pressure zone. Historically, this signal has preceded bullish price movements, especially when combined with strong fundamentals and improving market sentiment. If buying pressure persists and price breaks above current resistance levels, Tron could stage a significant rally to catch up with the broader market. For now, all eyes are on whether this fresh demand can spark TRX’s next leg higher. Tron Holds Strong As Bullish Momentum Rebuilds Tron (TRX), one of the most resilient altcoins in recent years, continues to show strength despite a challenging environment for most non-Bitcoin assets. Since late 2022, TRX has followed a steady uptrend, defying broader market corrections and maintaining strong on-chain fundamentals. Now, the asset consolidates near critical technical levels, preparing for what could be its next leg upward. Although Bitcoin has clearly led the current cycle—hitting new all-time highs and attracting the majority of capital—many altcoins like Tron are still lagging. This divergence has led several analysts to question whether an altseason is still on the table. Most believe this is a Bitcoin-dominant cycle, especially given the inflow to BTC ETFs and macroeconomic uncertainty. However, hope remains for a rotation into altcoins. Supporting that optimism, CryptoQuant insights reveal that TRX has returned to a buying pressure zone. The Buy/Sell Pressure Delta shows a clear transition out of the selling pressure area. Demand is once again exceeding supply, favoring bulls.   Importantly, TRX has not yet reached the historical thresholds that typically precede price tops. This suggests that there is still room for growth before caution sets in. If the broader market supports a rotation, Tron could emerge as a standout Layer-1 performer once again, especially as traders search for strong setups beyond Bitcoin. Related Reading: Ethereum Climbs Back To $2,700 – Bulls Ready For A Breakout? Price action has maintained a clear bullish structure since early April, with higher lows forming consistently along the 34-day EMA ($0.26), which now acts as dynamic support. The 50, 100, and 200 SMAs are all trending upward and tightly aligned beneath the current price, signaling long-term bullish alignment. TRX remains in a short-term consolidation range between approximately $0.26 and $0.28. The price recently tested this upper boundary twice but failed to break through with strong momentum. However, support at $0.26 has held firmly, suggesting buyers are still in control. Related Reading: Ethereum Addresses In Profit Nearly Doubles Since April Lows – Volatility Returns To confirm a breakout, bulls must decisively push the price above $0.28 with higher volume, which could open the door to a move toward $0.30 and potentially retest December’s highs near $0.36.
