The cryptocurrency market finds itself at a compelling crossroads, and Ethereum has once again returned to a pivotal on-chain support zone that has historically marked major turning points in its market cycle. With ETH now pressing against this same support, the market is exhibiting a strong reaction that could confirm the integrity of the long-term trend. Why This On-Chain Support Zone Defined Ethereum Recovery Ethereum’s price is sitting right on top of its most important on-chain support, and the behavior around this level is exactly what occurs before a big reversal. A popular crypto news site, CryptosRus, has revealed on X that the ETH price sharply dropped to $2,870 earlier today, only to bounce instantly after Nvidia’s earnings lifted the entire market. CryptoRus highlighted that this bounce isn’t the real story, but the level at which it happened is. Related Reading: Ethereum Big Wallets Are Back: Whales Are Quietly Accumulating ETH – A Rally On The Way? Presently, the $2,800 zone is a strong on-chain floor for ETH. This is because the level lines up perfectly with the realized price of both retail and whales. These are the same zones that have marked the ETH bottoms in every past cycle, and ETH just tapped it perfectly.  The classic signature of a bottom-zone behavior is that small wallets are in panic, while big wallets are buying in silence. Meanwhile, the on-chain rotation data has clearly shown that retail holders are selling, while whale investors holding 10,000 ETH and above are steadily loading up.  A similar sentiment has been detected in the liquidation data. Long liquidations are barely moving on each new low, which means that the forced sellers are gone and the short sellers have been piling in aggressively. That’s the perfect setup for a squeeze. According to the expert, ETH didn’t just dip; it slammed into a major on-chain support, as large investors bought it up with conviction. Meanwhile, retail dumped it in panic, shorts crowded it, and now even a small bounce can trigger the fireworks. Historical Patterns Suggest A Reset Precedes The Next Expansion Ethereum had just repeated the identical liquidity pattern that occurred at the last two major bottoms, and it happened almost in the same week. An analyst known as Milk Road has stated that every single major ETH reversal started with a full liquidity reset. Related Reading: Ethereum Price Uphill Battle Continues as Sellers Hold the Advantage As that same liquidity reset occurs again, that’s when the ETH price begins its next massive expansion leg, which is exactly the setup ETH is currently in. Amid the recent market recovery, Ethereum (ETH) is retesting a key level as support for the first time in a week, leading some market watchers to suggest that the highly anticipated end-of-year run may be delayed for a few more weeks. Related Reading: Trump Media Takes $55M Hit As Bitcoin Holdings Surge In Value Ethereum Eyes Next Key Level On Monday, Ethereum retested a crucial level after reclaiming it during the Sunday rebound. The cryptocurrency has been trading within the $3,100-$3,500 range after last week’s market shakeout, briefly hitting a four-month low of $3,057. Over the weekend, the King of Altcoins reclaimed the $3,400 resistance and soared approximately 7% to the $3,650 level, stabilizing around the $3,500-$3,550 area as the new week started. Daan Crypto Trades noted that the current levels are a crucial area to hold in the short term, explaining that “If the bulls can make that happen, we can start looking to fill up some of that inefficiency that was created during the big flush recently.” Nonetheless, Ali Martinez highlighted that over 869,000 ETH were accumulated around the $3,700 level, forming a major resistance wall in the cryptocurrency’s path to the $4,000 psychological barrier. Martinez also pointed out that the number of mega-whale addresses holding more than 10,000 ETH dropped by nearly two dozen in the past week. Per CoinGlass data shared by the analyst, 23 of the largest Ethereum whales sold or redistributed their holdings between November 4 and November 8. Despite this, large-scale investors continued to bet on the King of Altcoin during the market sell-off. Tom Lee, CEO of BitMine, affirmed that “the recent dip in ETH prices presented an attractive opportunity” to purchase the cryptocurrency. As a result, the company bought 110,288 ETH, worth $400 million, last week, increasing its holdings to 3,505,723 million tokens, or 2.9% of ETH’s total supply. ETH’s Q4 Rally Delayed? Despite the recent recovery, Ted Pillows suggested that Ethereum might not run to new highs this month, arguing that, just like Bitcoin, “Ethereum isn’t showing any correlation with M2 supply.” The analyst explained that this often happens when US liquidity growth is hindered. Based on this, he considers that the second-largest cryptocurrency by market capitalization could consolidate throughout the rest of the month “before taking off in Dec 2025/Jan 2026.” Similarly, analyst Crypto Wolf believes ETH will likely “print a clear higher low” near $3,400-$3,500 this month as “only after that can we realistically target new ATHs into December.” The market watcher highlighted that $3,100 is the next major support zone after the recent shakeout. If this level holds in the higher timeframes, ETH could build a base to retest the recent highs. However, losing this crucial area would be “how the bear market begins.” Related Reading: Dogecoin Price Could See 4,440% Rally To $5 If This Macro Cycle Repeats Meanwhile, analyst Cas Abbé noted that ETH’s recent performance resembles its Q2 price action. At the time, the altcoin briefly broke below its multi-month consolidation range before recovering and rallying 100% to new highs in the next two months. If history repeats itself, Ethereum could be preparing to retest the $3,700-$3,800 resistance soon and potentially record a massive rally by the end of the year. Ethereum is showing renewed strength after days of intense selling pressure and widespread uncertainty across the crypto market. Following a sharp drop below the $3,300 level, bulls are now attempting to reclaim $3,600, with the next major objective set at $4,000 — a level that could confirm a shift in market momentum if conquered. Related Reading: SharpLink Gaming Wallet Moves Freshly Redeemed Ethereum to OKX – Details Amid this recovery effort, key on-chain data highlights a surprising move from one of the market’s most closely watched traders — the so-called Anti-CZ Whale. This investor gained notoriety for shorting ASTER shortly after Changpeng Zhao (CZ) — the former CEO of Binance and one of the most influential figures in crypto — publicly mentioned buying it. The whale’s timely short turned out to be highly profitable, reinforcing their reputation as a contrarian yet precise market player. Now, this same whale has flipped bullish on Ethereum, opening a significant long position after having shorted ETH last week. The move signals growing confidence in Ethereum’s recovery potential and could hint at an upcoming market reversal. As sentiment begins to stabilize and liquidity rotates back into major altcoins, Ethereum’s price action in the coming days will be crucial in determining whether this bounce evolves into a sustained uptrend. The Anti-CZ Whale Flips Bullish on Ethereum According to new on-chain data shared by Lookonchain, the trader known as the Anti-CZ Whale has once again demonstrated his sharp market timing. After shorting Ethereum (ETH) during last week’s market correction, the whale has now flipped bullish — taking a major long position that reflects growing confidence in the asset’s recovery. The data reveals that the whale currently holds 32,802 ETH, valued at roughly $119.6 million, with more than $15 million in unrealized profit so far. This strategic pivot came shortly after Ethereum’s rebound from its recent lows near $3,200, suggesting that the trader anticipated a relief rally as selling pressure began to ease. What makes this move even more significant is that the Anti-CZ Whale is still maintaining profitable short positions in other assets — notably ASTER and PEPE. This indicates a selective, tactical approach rather than a broad market shift. His ETH long aligns with improving sentiment around Ethereum, while the other shorts suggest caution toward more speculative altcoins. Historically, the Anti-CZ Whale has earned a reputation for trading against major narratives — including his successful short on ASTER after Changpeng Zhao (CZ), Binance’s former CEO, tweeted about buying the token. His latest move toward ETH could therefore signal that smart money is beginning to rotate back into high-conviction assets. Related Reading: Cardano Whales Trim Positions – 4M ADA Sold in 7 Days ETH Price Analysis — Signs of a Short-Term Recovery Ethereum’s price action on the 4-hour chart shows a notable recovery following last week’s sharp decline. After dipping below $3,300, ETH found strong buying interest and has since rebounded toward the $3,600 region — a key short-term resistance level. This rebound coincides with increased trading volume, suggesting renewed confidence among bulls after several days of panic-driven selling. The structure now shows early signs of a potential trend reversal, as Ethereum has formed a short-term higher low pattern, with buyers defending the $3,350–$3,400 support zone. If momentum continues, the next target for bulls lies near $3,800, where previous breakdowns occurred. A clear break and close above that level would confirm a bullish continuation toward the $4,000 mark. Related Reading: Bitcoin OI Suffers Deepest Drop Of The Cycle: $10B Leverage Wipeout Leaves Traders Cautious However, ETH still faces challenges ahead. The broader market remains fragile, and the asset is yet to reclaim its 200-period moving average, which currently acts as dynamic resistance. Ethereum has entered a consolidation phase after losing the $4,500 level, now trading within a tight range above $4,250. The recent pullback has increased uncertainty across the market, with investors weighing whether ETH will break lower or gather enough momentum to attempt another rally. Despite this volatility, Ethereum continues to demonstrate strong underlying fundamentals, supported by consistent whale and institutional accumulation. Related Reading: Bitmine Adds Another $65.3M In Ethereum – Details According to top analyst Darkfost, whale activity on Ethereum remains elevated, with significant outflows recorded from Binance in recent sessions. These withdrawals highlight an important trend: whales are not selling but rather moving their ETH into decentralized finance ecosystems. In fact, several notable transactions were detected this morning, with large holders transferring ETH from Binance to Aave, deploying it for yield opportunities. This ongoing accumulation and redeployment reflect a growing conviction among whales that Ethereum remains one of the most attractive assets in the market. By leveraging ETH in DeFi rather than offloading it, large players are signaling long-term confidence in Ethereum’s value. As the bullish trend quietly unfolds behind the scenes, the market’s consolidation may ultimately serve as a foundation for Ethereum’s next major move. Whale Outflows Underscore Ethereum Strength Ethereum whales have once again demonstrated their conviction with a series of large outflows from Binance. Within just a few minutes, three massive transactions were recorded: the first totaling roughly 23,000 ETH, the second a much larger 64,000 ETH, and the final outflow an extraordinary 83,000 ETH. Altogether, these movements represent nearly $750 million worth of Ethereum withdrawn from the exchange in a single burst of activity. These outflows have had a measurable impact on Binance’s reserves. With this wave of withdrawals, the amount of ETH held on the exchange has fallen to 4.2 million ETH, highlighting a continued decline in centralized exchange balances. Historically, declining reserves have been viewed as a sign of strong demand, as coins are moved off exchanges and into long-term storage or deployed into decentralized finance platforms like Aave for yield. The conviction displayed by whales in this instance sends a powerful signal to the market. Rather than reacting to short-term volatility, these large holders are positioning themselves for the long term, underscoring Ethereum’s resilience even during consolidation phases. This activity also explains why ETH has been outperforming Bitcoin recently—whale demand continues to funnel into Ethereum while Bitcoin faces more muted accumulation trends. The strength of these outflows reflects the growing institutional and whale appetite for Ethereum. With reserves shrinking and demand proving consistent, the market may be setting the stage for Ethereum’s next breakout once broader conditions align. Related Reading: Bitcoin Market Base Turns Neutral-Bearish As Flows Stay Weak Testing Key Supports Amid Sideways Action Ethereum (ETH) is currently trading around $4,381, consolidating after a volatile period that has kept price action capped below the $4,500 resistance zone. Shorter moving averages provide insight into momentum. The 50 SMA (blue line) is converging with the 100 SMA (green line), reflecting sideways market conditions and a lack of clear direction. ETH has repeatedly tested the $4,450–$4,500 resistance zone over the past two weeks but has failed to close decisively above it, highlighting seller pressure. On-chain data from Santiment shows both Bitcoin and Ethereum whale address counts grew in August, signaling steady accumulation. Bitcoin & Ethereum Whales Have Seen Their Counts Go Up Recently In a new post on X, on-chain analytics firm Santiment has revealed how the whale populations have shifted on the Ethereum and Bitcoin blockchains recently. Whales refer to the key stakeholders of a cryptocurrency who hold amounts large enough that they can carry some degree of influence in the market. The exact scale of these investors is defined differently across networks. For BTC, whales are considered to be entities carrying more than 1,000 BTC (equivalent to $112 million at the current exchange rate), while for ETH, the threshold is 10,000 ETH ($46.4 million). Related Reading: Bitcoin Selloff: $2.2 Billion In BTC Floods Exchanges Now, here is the chart shared by the analytics firm that shows how the total number of whale-sized wallets has changed on each of these networks over the past few months: As is visible in the above graph, the Bitcoin whales saw their count plummet back in July, implying a notable number of these investors exited from the market near the rally high. In August, the metric has made gradual recovery for the cryptocurrency, with there now being 13 more such wallets compared to the start of the month. While this isn’t anything too big, it does indicate that big-money investors are slowly buying back in. Ethereum has also seen its whale population go up during the same window and the increase has been more dramatic in its case. In total, 48 new whales have joined the blockchain since August began. Given the key position that these investors occupy in the market, the sentiment among them is often worth keeping an eye on. With a buying push occurring from them right now, it would seem that their outlook is bullish, particularly in the case of ETH. In some other news, Bitcoin has witnessed a sharp decline in capital inflows recently, as analyst Willy Woo has explained in an X post. Bitcoin is today seeing around less than $1 billion per day in capital inflows, which is significantly down compared to the earlier peak above $2 billion per day. Interestingly, in the same period as BTC has seen inflows dry up, ETH has observed them pick up instead. Related Reading: Bitcoin Keeps Slipping Down: Is $107,000 The Next Support? Ethereum is stabilizing above the $4,200 level after days of sharp volatility and heavy selling pressure. The recent downturn saw ETH retreat from local highs near $4,800, leaving bulls with the urgent task of defending critical demand zones. Now, early signs suggest that momentum may be shifting back in favor of buyers, with selling pressure beginning to fade across the market. Related Reading: Ethereum Treasury Boom Drives Demand: Can The Market Handle The Risks? This stabilization comes as altcoins prepare for what could be a decisive period in the coming months. Market sentiment is cautiously turning optimistic, supported by improving technical signals and renewed accumulation patterns. Analysts point out that if Ethereum can hold current support levels, the groundwork could be laid for another push toward retesting the $4,800 zone and, eventually, new all-time highs. Adding to the bullish narrative, Arkham Intelligence revealed that a whale or institutional player just longed about $300 million worth of ETH on-chain. This massive leveraged bet underscores confidence in Ethereum’s medium-term outlook, even amid recent volatility. Such moves from large-scale investors often signal strong conviction and can act as a catalyst for renewed market strength. Ethereum Whale Bet Sparks Speculation According to Arkham Intelligence, a whale identified as address 0x2eA has just made one of the boldest bets in Ethereum’s recent history. The address longed a total of $282 million worth of ETH across three separate accounts on Hyperliquid, with liquidation prices set tightly at $3,699, $3,700, and $3,732. This aggressive positioning suggests strong conviction that Ethereum’s recent correction may have already bottomed. Arkham itself posed the question: Did he just catch the bottom? The coming days are expected to be highly volatile, as futures markets heat up and traders prepare for sharp moves. With ETH consolidating around the $4,200 support level, the whale’s position could either trigger massive profits if the market rallies or result in a swift wipeout should bearish pressure intensify. Such concentrated bets often act as catalysts, fueling speculation and liquidity in derivatives markets. At the same time, institutional adoption continues to reinforce Ethereum’s long-term outlook. Companies like Sharplink Gaming and Bitmine have already taken steps toward treasury strategies that include ETH allocations, joining the growing list of firms treating Ethereum as a strategic reserve asset. This accumulation trend, combined with aggressive whale bets, underscores the broader demand dynamics supporting ETH. If bullish momentum builds, Ethereum could soon attempt a retest of its all-time high near $4,800, potentially pushing into uncharted price discovery. For now, the whale’s move stands as a bold signal of confidence, setting the stage for Ethereum’s next major market phase. Related Reading: Ethereum Demand Holds Despite Pullback: New Whales Enter With $192M Buys Weekly Price Chart Analysis: Healthy Consolidation Ethereum’s weekly chart shows a sharp surge followed by a pullback as price action tests support levels near $4,200. After reaching highs close to $4,800, ETH faced heavy selling pressure, but the broader trend remains bullish. The chart highlights strong momentum since June, with Ethereum breaking through key resistance zones and reclaiming levels not seen since early 2022. Currently, ETH is consolidating above the 50-week and 100-week moving averages, which are sloping upward, reinforcing the broader bullish structure. The 200-week moving average sits far below, at $2,443, showing how extended the move has been. Ethereum continues to hold above the breakout zone, suggesting that bulls remain in control. Related Reading: Ethereum Faces Historic Short Interest: Rally Could Trigger Massive Liquidations This pullback may serve as a cooling-off period after weeks of aggressive buying. If Ethereum manages to stabilize above $4,200, it could attempt another move toward the $4,800–$5,000 resistance zone. A break above that region would open the door to new all-time highs and potential price discovery. On the downside, losing $4,000 would raise the risk of a deeper correction toward $3,600. Ethereum is showing renewed strength after a sharp but short-lived pullback. Following its recent high of $3,860, ETH dipped to the $3,500 zone — a key level that quickly attracted buying interest. Now, price action is pointing upward again, with Ethereum pushing to reclaim the $3,700 range, signaling bullish momentum may be back in control. Related Reading: Bitcoin LTHs Start Distributing: CDD Ratio Hits Historic Levels Despite the recent volatility, on-chain data support the case for continued upside. According to Santiment, whales have been aggressively accumulating ETH throughout the pullback. This surge in accumulation suggests that institutional players are positioning themselves ahead of the next leg of the rally, anticipating strength in the coming months. These strategic inflows have historically preceded sustained upward trends. The resilience around the $3,500 level, combined with the swift recovery attempt, underscores Ethereum’s strong bullish structure. With a favorable macro environment, regulatory clarity, and mounting institutional interest, Ethereum appears poised for continued expansion as the second half of the year unfolds. All eyes are now on whether this bounce holds and leads to a renewed breakout above resistance. Whales Add Ethereum as US Legal Clarity Boosts Bullish Outlook Ethereum’s bullish momentum is being reinforced by aggressive accumulation from major investors. According to analyst Ali Martinez, whales have purchased more than 1.13 million ETH—worth approximately $4.18 billion—over the past two weeks. This surge in buying activity marks one of the most significant accumulation phases in recent months and signals rising confidence among institutional players. The accumulation comes at a critical time for Ethereum, which has been consolidating near the $3,700 level after a brief pullback from its $3,860 high. This whale activity not only adds fuel to the ongoing price recovery but also strengthens Ethereum’s bullish structure heading into the second half of the year. Beyond market behavior, macro and regulatory shifts are also favoring Ethereum and the broader altcoin market. The recent passage of the GENIUS Act and Clarity Act by the US Congress marks a pivotal moment for crypto legislation. These new laws offer long-sought legal clarity for decentralized finance (DeFi) platforms and digital assets, encouraging US-based innovation and capital flows into the space. This evolving regulatory framework removes one of the biggest barriers for institutional adoption of Ethereum and DeFi. With clearer rules and a growing appetite for ETH among whales, the stage is set for a potentially explosive rally if current momentum holds. Related Reading: Bitcoin STH Realized Price Chart Reveals Key Defense Zones Amid Volatility ETH Holds Strong After Pullback Ethereum (ETH) is showing renewed strength after a brief correction from its local top at $3,860. As seen in the 4-hour chart, ETH dipped to $3,500 but quickly bounced, reclaiming the $3,700 zone and closing in on key resistance at $3,776 and $3,860. This rebound indicates strong buyer interest and resilience in the uptrend. The price is now trading above all major moving averages (50, 100, and 200), which are stacked bullishly. The 50-SMA at $3,648 has provided dynamic support in recent sessions, while the 100-SMA and 200-SMA at $3,304 and $2,883, respectively, remain far below current price action—underscoring the strength of this upward move. Related Reading: Bitcoin Holders Still Reluctant To Sell – Supply Active Data Shows Room For Upside Volume is picking up slightly as ETH consolidates in a tight range near resistance. The Ethereum price is flashing major upside signals as on-chain and market activity align toward a potential breakout to the $3,000 level. With crypto exchange balances falling to their lowest in nine years, stablecoin rails hitting record highs, and Spot Ethereum ETF inflows spiking last month, analysts now describe ETH as a “powder keg” primed for explosive movement.   Ethereum Price Eyes A $3,300 Breakout  The Ethereum price action is drawing attention as it continues to trade within a well-defined consolidation range, hovering near $2,555 at the time of writing. Based on a recently released technical analysis by crypto analyst Pentoshi on X social media, ETH could be on the verge of a significant move, with $3,300 marked as the next bullish target in the near term.  Related Reading: Crypto Analyst Predicts $10,000 ATH For Ethereum This Cycle, Here’s Why The crypto expert’s chart reveals that since early May 2025, Ethereum has been locked between two key levels—a support zone around $2,190 and resistance near $2,750. This range has remained intact for over eight weeks, signaling a period of accumulation and low volatility after the sharp decline experienced in the first quarter of the year.  Pentoshi has pinpointed $2,100 as the key downside risk in his bullish outlook, aligning closely with the lower support zone marked on the chart. While the next bullish extension and major resistance level has been identified as $3,300, the analyst expects Ethereum to make a move toward this price level within the next three months. He suggests that the current setup offers a favorable risk-reward profile, estimating a potential upside of roughly 3.2x compared to the downside risk.  Analyst Calls Ethereum A “Powder Keg” In other news, Eric Conner refers to Ethereum as a “powder keg,” highlighting a growing convergence of fundamental factors that are building up pressure and positioning the cryptocurrency for a potentially parabolic move in the market.  Related Reading: The Ethereum Waiting Game: Breakout To $2,800 Or Crash To $2,000? The analyst reports that Stablecoin activity on Ethereum has reached historic highs, with the total market capitalization of on-chain dollar-denominated assets hitting $251 billion—a record that also marks 21 consecutive months of uninterrupted growth. In parallel, Ethereum Spot ETFs have brought in $1.17 billion in net inflows during June alone, marking a major shift in investors’ appetite for ETH exposure.  Even more notable, the amount of Ethereum available for trading is now at its lowest level in nearly a decade, with only nine million ETH tokens on centralized crypto exchanges. This nine-year low in exchange balances signals a drying float, where any fresh demand has an outsized impact on price.  Conner has stated that large-scale crypto investors are beginning to take note. He reports that wallets holding between 1,000 and 10,000 ETH have accumulated more than 800,000 tokens daily during the peak week in June, marking the most aggressive absorption by whales since 2017.  Currently, price action mirrors tension, and the analyst warns that if Ethereum decisively clears the $2,600 resistance level, the combination of supply scarcity, ETF-driven demand, and explosive stablecoin usage could unleash a violent and rapid breakout. Ethereum has experienced significant volatility in recent days, driven largely by escalating geopolitical tensions in the Middle East. After breaking down from the range that had held since early May, ETH fell sharply to $2,100, triggering widespread concern among investors. The breakdown was largely attributed to the market’s reaction to the US attack on Iranian nuclear facilities, which escalated the conflict between Israel and Iran. Related Reading: Bitcoin Battles Key Support: Daily EMA-100 Must Hold to Prevent Deep Correction However, markets quickly responded to positive developments. Ethereum rebounded strongly above the $2,400 level following reports that Iran and Israel had agreed to a ceasefire, temporarily easing global risk sentiment. This relief rally brought new optimism to the Ethereum market, especially amid signs of institutional confidence. According to data shared by top analyst Ted Pillows, a major whale or institutional entity purchased another $8.91 million worth of ETH, continuing an aggressive accumulation streak. Over the past three weeks, this same entity has reportedly bought $422 million in Ethereum, signaling strong conviction despite recent market stress. This wave of accumulation suggests that long-term players may view the current price zone as a key opportunity, reinforcing the idea that Ethereum could be building a base for its next major move once broader conditions stabilize. Ethereum Surges As Ceasefire Ignites Market Optimism Ethereum surged over 14% following reports of a ceasefire agreement between Israel and Iran, providing a much-needed relief rally after weeks of geopolitical tension and uncertainty. The news sparked a wave of bullish momentum across the market, with ETH rebounding sharply from recent lows near $2,100 to trade firmly above the $2,400 mark. Bulls, who had lost control amid panic selling, are now showing signs of strength as the market prepares for its next decisive move. Despite this rebound, caution remains. The broader macroeconomic environment continues to tighten, with rising concerns over a potential US recession, high Treasury yields, and sustained hawkishness from the Federal Reserve. These factors could weigh on risk assets in the weeks ahead, putting Ethereum’s rally to the test. Nonetheless, optimism is building, especially around the possibility of the long-awaited altseason—one that many believe will be led by Ethereum. Adding fuel to this narrative is the growing trend of whale accumulation. According to insights shared by analyst Ted Pillows, a major whale or institutional entity has just acquired another $8.91 million worth of ETH. This purchase adds to a staggering $422 million in Ethereum accumulated over the past three weeks. Such aggressive buying suggests that large players are positioning themselves for a major move ahead, likely expecting Ethereum to be at the forefront of the next market cycle. As ETH consolidates above key levels, the accumulation trend could act as a foundational force supporting higher prices, especially if macro and geopolitical risks stabilize. Related Reading: Ethereum Holds Critical Support – $2,350 Level Could Define The Next Move ETH Reclaims $2,400 Following Sharp Rebound Ethereum has reclaimed the $2,400 level after a swift rebound from a breakdown near $2,100. The recent candle structure on the 3-day chart shows a strong wick to the downside, followed by a recovery, reflecting the impact of geopolitical developments, most notably the ceasefire between Iran and Israel. This bounce prevented a deeper selloff and has brought Ethereum back above a key psychological level. Looking at the chart, ETH remains under pressure from the 100-day and 200-day moving averages, currently acting as resistance around the $2,638 and $2,779 zones. Price also recently broke a short-term descending trendline and is now attempting to consolidate above it. This suggests the potential for a trend reversal if bulls can sustain momentum and push through the moving average cluster. On-chain data shows the Ethereum whales have sold the asset recently, while key holders on the Bitcoin network have accumulated instead. Ethereum Whales Have Sold Into The Latest Rally As explained by analyst Ali Martinez in a new post on X, the Ethereum whales have participated in selling recently. The “whales” here refer to the ETH entities holding between 1,000 and 10,000 ETH. At the current exchange rate, this range converts to $1.8 million to $18 million. While these bounds don’t cover the largest of holders in the sector, they do still contain some of the key investors. Related Reading: Bitcoin Holders Realizing $139 Million In Profit Per Hour This Rally, Report Says Here is the chart shared by the analyst that shows the trend in the combined balance of these Ethereum whales over the over the past ten days or so: As displayed in the above graph, the Ethereum whales have seen their supply go through a net decline recently. During this selloff, these investors offloaded more than 63,000 ETH (about $113.5 million) inside a 48-hour window. From the chart, it’s visible that the distribution from this cohort has coincided with ETH’s recovery rally. This could indicate that these large investors have been capitalizing on the profit-taking opportunity. While the key investors of ETH may have taken profits, the same isn’t true for that of BTC. As the on-chain analytics firm Santiment has discussed in an X post, the trend has been that of accumulation for BTC recently. In the chart, the analytics firm has attached the data related to the supply of the Bitcoin holders carrying between 10 ($946,000) and 10,000 BTC ($946 million). This range is broader than the one for ETH and includes two key investor cohorts: sharks and whales. These investors have collectively added a total of 19,255 BTC to their wallets alongside the price rally. Thus, it would appear that the key holders of the cryptocurrency are supportive of the recovery run. Ethereum is trading around the $1,600 level after several days of failed attempts to reclaim higher prices. Bulls are showing signs of life, but their momentum remains weak as bearish pressure continues to dominate the market. Despite a brief recovery bounce last week, Ethereum’s broader structure still reflects a clear downtrend. Related Reading: Solana Retests Bearish Breakout Zone – $65 Target Still In Play? The crypto market remains under the shadow of macroeconomic uncertainty, as ongoing tensions between the United States and China weigh heavily on global financial sentiment. No resolution or agreement between the two economic giants has been announced, leaving investors cautious and risk-averse. Adding to the negative sentiment, CryptoQuant data shows that Ethereum whales have offloaded approximately 143,000 ETH over the past week. This large-scale distribution reinforces fears of further downside, with long-term holders and large wallets choosing to reduce exposure rather than accumulate. While some analysts still see potential for a turnaround if key levels are reclaimed, the current market environment remains fragile. Unless Ethereum can regain and hold above short-term resistance levels, the threat of another leg down remains very real. Traders are now closely watching price action for signs of a shift — but for now, caution continues to lead the way. Ethereum Faces Selling Pressure As Whales Exit Ethereum is facing a critical test as price action continues to lack clarity, and support levels remain fragile. Despite brief attempts to rebound, ETH has failed to establish a clear bottom, and the downtrend structure remains intact. The market is struggling to define a strong demand zone, making it difficult for bulls to sustain upward momentum. As selling pressure mounts, analysts are warning that Ethereum may continue to slide toward lower demand levels in the absence of strong buying interest. Broader macroeconomic conditions continue to weigh heavily on risk assets like Ethereum. Global trade tensions, particularly the unresolved tariff standoff between the United States and China, have created uncertainty across financial markets. Combined with fears of a slowing global economy and lack of coordinated fiscal support, crypto markets remain under pressure. Adding to the bearish sentiment, top analyst Ali Martinez shared on-chain data revealing that whales have offloaded approximately 143,000 ETH over the past week. This large-scale distribution by influential holders has significantly weakened Ethereum’s outlook, reinforcing concerns that smart money is preparing for deeper downside. Since late December, ETH has remained in a prolonged bearish trend, with every attempt at recovery being met by renewed selling. Unless bulls reclaim key technical levels and shift market sentiment, Ethereum may continue to slide further. Related Reading: Over 1.9M Ethereum Positioned Between $1,457 And $1,598 – Can Bulls Hold Support? ETH Price Stuck In Volatile Range Ethereum is currently trading at $1,600 after enduring days of massive volatility and macroeconomic-driven uncertainty. Despite brief relief bounces, ETH remains locked in a bearish structure, unable to generate sustained momentum. For bulls to regain control, reclaiming the $1,850 resistance level is critical. This level aligns with the 4-hour 200 MA and EMA around $1,800, making it a key zone to watch for confirmation of a short-term trend reversal. Holding above these moving averages would signal renewed strength and possibly mark the beginning of a recovery rally. However, price action continues to struggle beneath them, and failure to push above these indicators would confirm persistent weakness. In that case, Ethereum may retest the $1,500 level or even dip below it if selling pressure intensifies. Related Reading: Ethereum Metrics Reveal Critical Support Level – Can Buyers Step In? The current environment is shaped by global tensions and macro uncertainty, with no clear catalysts to drive a breakout in either direction. As long as ETH remains below its key moving averages, the risk of another leg down remains elevated. Crypto analyst Doctor Profit, who called the Ethereum price dump, is now providing a bullish outlook for ETH. Based on his analysis, now might be a great time to buy Ethereum, which has so far underperformed other top cryptocurrencies.  Analyst Says ETH Is Now Undervalued Following Ethereum Price Dump In an X post, Doctor Profit stated that ETH is undervalued now following the Ethereum price dump. He noted that the leading altcoin is sitting at a historical support at $1,800, the same support he had predicted that ETH would dump to. With this massive correction and fear in the market driving Ethereum to this support level, the analyst claimed that the altcoin is undervalued now.  Related Reading: Ethereum Price Forms Megaphone Bottom Not Seen Since 2020, Here’s What Happened Last Time His analysis suggests that now might be a great time to accumulate ETH as the Ethereum price could rebound from this historical support. Indeed, some investors are already using this massive correction as an opportunity to stack up more coins. IntoTheBlock data shows that Ethereum’s ‘Concentration’ metric is currently bullish, indicating that ETH whales are adding to their positions.   Besides Doctor Profit, crypto analyst Astronomer also believes that ETH is currently undervalued and predicts that the Ethereum price could revisit $4,000. He highlighted several technical signals that indicate that the leading altcoin could reach these highs. The analyst also alluded to the $1,800 support, noting that this range has historically been a launch pad for price recoveries.  However, crypto analyst Kledji has predicted that the Ethereum price could still drop to as low as $1,400 before rebounding. He stated that ETH will likely consolidate around this range for a while before it rallies to this $1,400 target later this month. His analysis suggested that the altcoin’s downtrend depended on Bitcoin’s performance. Therefore, if BTC recovers from this range, ETH will unlikely drop to that $1,400 level.  ETH’s Dominance Is On The Decline, But History Could Repeat Itself In an X post, crypto analyst Rekt Capital revealed that ETH’s dominance has dropped from 20% to 8% since June 2023 as a result of the Ethereum price dump. He then noted that Ethereum’s dominance has historically reversed this 8% zone to become more market-dominant. The analyst then raised the possibility of history repeating itself, with ETH recovering well and enjoying a higher market dominance.  Crypto analyst Crypto Patel is also confident that the Ethereum price will rebound soon. His accompanying chart showed that ETH could bounce from this $1,800 support and enter phase 3 of the Wyckoff chart, sending its price to as high as $6,800, a new all-time high (ATH).  Related Reading: Ethereum Price: Analyst Predicts ‘Most Hated Rally In Crypto’ At the time of writing, the Ethereum price is trading at around $1,800, up over 1% in the last 24 hours, according to data from CoinMarketCap. Ethereum is trading below the $1,900 level, facing ongoing selling pressure as the broader crypto market continues to weaken. After a sharp rejection from the $2,500 mark in late February, bulls have failed to regain momentum, and ETH has steadily declined — disappointing many investors who entered the year with high expectations for a bullish trend. The loss of key support levels has further damaged sentiment, and Ethereum’s price action remains bearish in the short term. Related Reading: Bitcoin Rejected At Descending Resistance Again – Is $78,600 Still In Play? Despite the negative outlook, there are signs of accumulation beneath the surface. According to data from IntoTheBlock, Ethereum whales are buying the dip. The largest ETH wallets added over 130,000 ETH to their holdings just yesterday — a move that suggests confidence from long-term players even as retail sentiment wavers. This accumulation could signal a shift in momentum if sustained, especially if whales continue to absorb supply while prices remain low. However, for any real recovery to take hold, Ethereum must reclaim critical resistance levels and show stronger buying activity across the board. For now, the market remains under pressure, but whale behavior could offer a hint of what’s to come once the current downtrend begins to ease. Ethereum Big Players Buy Amid Market Uncertainty Ethereum is currently down 55% from its December high, reflecting the broader pain across the crypto market. The selloff has been fueled in large part by rising macroeconomic uncertainty, with U.S. President Donald Trump’s aggressive trade policies and unpredictable tariff announcements adding to global financial instability. As traditional markets struggle to find footing, high-risk assets like Ethereum have been among the hardest hit. Bulls are having a difficult time defending key support levels, and price action suggests the downtrend may continue in the short term. With Ethereum trading well below the $1,900 mark and no clear signs of bullish momentum, the outlook remains fragile. Still, not all signals are bearish. According to data from IntoTheBlock, Ethereum whales appear to be accumulating. On a single day, the largest ETH wallets added over 130,000 ETH to their holdings — a move that suggests quiet confidence among major players. This level of accumulation, especially during periods of fear and weakness, often hints at a long-term bullish outlook. While price continues to trend lower, the behavior of these large holders adds to the speculative environment, signaling that some investors may be positioning early for a potential surge. If macro conditions begin to stabilize or sentiment shifts, Ethereum could benefit from this quiet accumulation phase — but for now, the market remains in correction mode. Related Reading: SUI Forms Inverse Head And Shoulders – Can Bulls Break Above $2.52? Technical Analysis: ETH Bulls Defend Critical Support Ethereum is trading at $1,830 following a wave of heavy selling pressure that pushed the price sharply below the key $2,000 level. Panic selling has gripped the market, with bulls struggling to regain control amid a broader downturn across the crypto space. The breakdown below $2,000 marked a significant shift in sentiment, turning what was once viewed as a consolidation phase into a deeper correction. At this stage, bulls must hold the $1,800 support level — a critical threshold that, if lost, could lead to a further decline toward $1,750 or lower. Holding above $1,800 would allow for stabilization and the chance to build a foundation for recovery. However, to signal a meaningful reversal, Ethereum needs to reclaim the $2,100 level, which now acts as short-term resistance. Although sentiment toward Ethereum (ETH) remains largely pessimistic, crypto analyst Mister Crypto predicts that the second-largest cryptocurrency by market cap could be on the verge of a parabolic rally, mirroring its historical price action from 2020. Ethereum About To Witness A Change Of Fortune? Following US President Donald Trump’s highly anticipated reciprocal tariff announcement, the crypto market took a sharp plunge, wiping out over $140 billion in the past 24 hours. During this period, ETH tumbled by 5% and is at risk of setting fresh cycle lows in the $1,700 range. Related Reading: Is Ethereum Breaking Free from the Bear Trap? Analysts Weigh In Despite the negative sentiment, crypto analyst Mister Crypto suggests that ETH may soon experience a sharp momentum shift. In an X post shared earlier today, the analyst noted that while retail investors may have abandoned ETH, large investors – commonly referred to as whales – have not. Mister Crypto shared the following chart, highlighting striking similarities between ETH’s current price action and its 2020 trajectory. He added that if history repeats itself, ETH could see strong bullish momentum in Q2 2025. Fellow crypto analyst CryptoGoos echoed Mister Crypto’s perspective, arguing that ETH is “extremely undervalued” at its current price levels. The analyst also shared a chart illustrating how ETH whales are accumulating the asset at a record pace. The data reveals that wallets holding between 10,000 and 100,000 ETH have been accumulating at an accelerated rate since early 2025. This trend persists despite ETH’s decline from approximately $3,350 on January 1 to around $1,700 at the time of writing. Another cryptocurrency analyst, Crypto Caesar, noted that ETH is likely approaching a bottom, as it is currently trading near the same price level it held four years ago. However, he cautioned that if ETH breaks below its current support, it could decline further to the $1,200 range. ETH May Have More Pain Ahead While whale accumulation suggests long-term optimism for ETH, some analysts warn that further downside may be imminent before a potential recovery. In a recent analysis, crypto market expert Cryptododo7 predicts that ETH may eye bearish targets around $1,130 to $1,200. Ethereum continues to face strong headwinds as it trades below the $1,900 mark, with bullish momentum fading and market sentiment growing increasingly fearful. After a brief attempt to stabilize, ETH has resumed its downward trajectory, now down over 35% since late February. Price action remains weak, and investors are bracing for more potential downside as selling pressure shows no sign of easing. Related Reading: Whales Offload 200M Cardano During March – The Start Of A Trend? Contributing to the bearish outlook, on-chain data from Santiment reveals that whales have offloaded approximately 760,000 ETH in just the past two weeks. This significant sell-off by large holders adds weight to the growing concerns that the market may be entering a deeper correction phase. When whales exit in size, it often reflects declining confidence and triggers a wave of additional selling from smaller investors. With macroeconomic uncertainty still shaking financial markets and Ethereum’s key support levels under threat, the outlook for ETH remains fragile. Bulls must act fast to reclaim momentum and prevent a slide into lower demand zones. Until then, the combination of fading demand, technical weakness, and aggressive whale selling continues to cloud Ethereum’s near-term path, leaving traders on edge as the next move unfolds. Ethereum Whale Selling Grows and Market Confidence Fades Ethereum continues to show signs of sustained selling pressure, and the broader market is starting to accept that the current downtrend may persist. With ETH trading well below key resistance levels and struggling to hold above $1,900, confidence among traders and investors is weakening. Macroeconomic uncertainty, fueled by rising global tensions, unstable interest rate expectations, and unpredictable policy moves, has shaken financial markets. High-risk assets like Ethereum are taking the hardest hits, with volatility amplifying every move. Despite the weakness, there’s still a glimmer of optimism across the market. Some investors believe Ethereum could mount an aggressive recovery, especially if broader conditions stabilize or if ETH finds strong support around current levels. However, that optimism is starting to fade in the face of poor price action and concerning on-chain data. Top analyst Ali Martinez shared insights on X, revealing that whales have sold approximately 760,000 ETH over the past two weeks. This significant offloading by large holders adds to the ongoing bearish pressure and suggests that confidence among big players is declining. Whale movements are closely watched, as they often precede or confirm broader market trends. Still, markets are dynamic, and this trend could shift quickly. If Ethereum can hold key support zones and macroeconomic conditions begin to calm, the same large players currently selling may reenter the market in anticipation of the next rally. For now, though, Ethereum remains in a fragile state, with continued selling and cautious sentiment likely to dominate the short-term outlook. Bulls must step in soon to shift the trend — or risk watching ETH slide further in the weeks ahead. Related Reading: XRP MVRV Ratio Dips Below The 200-Day MA – Trend Shift Underway? Bulls Struggle to Reclaim Key Levels Ethereum is currently trading at $1,880 after several days of weak price action, caught in a tight range between $2,000 resistance and $1,750 support. Despite multiple attempts, bulls have failed to reclaim the critical $2,000–$2,200 zone — a level that would signal strength and potentially mark the beginning of a broader recovery phase. Instead, ETH remains trapped in a downtrend, with momentum continuing to favor the bears. The inability to push higher is putting bulls in a vulnerable position. With Ethereum now hovering just below the $1,900 level, the coming days are crucial. If ETH fails to hold above this mark and cannot break back above $2,000 with conviction, a sharp drop is likely. Such a move could lead to a retest of the lower $1,700s or even deeper, especially if broader market sentiment remains negative. Related Reading: Dogecoin Holds Key Support: A Demand Spike Could Trigger A Rally As macroeconomic instability and market uncertainty persist, investors are growing cautious, and risk appetite continues to fade. Ethereum (ETH) is trading at its lowest levels since late 2023, struggling to regain momentum after an extended period of selling pressure. Since December 2024, ETH has lost over 57% of its value, failing to reclaim key resistance levels. With the broader crypto market facing macroeconomic uncertainty and persistent volatility, Ethereum’s downtrend appears far from over. Related Reading: 640,000 Chainlink (LINK) Withdrawn From Exchanges In 24 Hours – Bullish Accumulation? Despite the ongoing decline, on-chain data suggests that large investors may be positioning for a recovery. According to CryptoQuant, whales have moved over 130,000 ETH off exchanges in the past week, signaling a growing accumulation trend. This pattern has been developing since Ethereum started trending downward, suggesting that institutional players and long-term holders are buying the dip in anticipation of future price appreciation. While short-term sentiment remains bearish, historical data shows that large whale accumulations often precede strong rebounds once selling pressure fades. However, ETH still faces significant resistance, and bulls must reclaim key levels to confirm a potential trend reversal. With market uncertainty still looming, the next few weeks will be critical in determining Ethereum’s next major move. Ethereum Whale Activity Hints At Optimism Ethereum has been under massive selling pressure, struggling amid macroeconomic uncertainty and trade war fears that have shaken both the crypto market and the U.S. stock market. ETH is now trading below a multi-year support level, which could act as a strong resistance in the coming weeks. If bulls fail to reclaim key price levels, the stage could be set for a deeper correction. However, not all indicators are bearish. Despite the ongoing downtrend, some analysts remain optimistic about Ethereum’s long-term prospects. Top analyst Ali Martinez shared insights on X, revealing that whales have moved over 130,000 ETH off exchanges in the past week. This is significant because large investors typically move their holdings off exchanges when they plan to hold for the long term rather than selling. When whales transfer ETH into private wallets, it often signals accumulation rather than immediate selling pressure. Historically, such trends have preceded market rebounds, as reduced exchange supply can contribute to price stability and future upside potential. Related Reading: Whales Accumulate Over 150 Million XRP In Just 48 Hours – Is A Rally Incoming? While Ethereum still faces major hurdles, whale activity suggests that smart money is positioning itself for the next move. The next few weeks will be crucial in determining whether ETH can reverse its downward trend or if further declines are ahead. Bulls Fight to Hold Key Levels Ethereum is currently trading at $1,904, struggling to regain momentum after days of consolidation below the $2,000 mark. The ongoing selling pressure has kept ETH under key resistance, making it difficult for bulls to reverse the trend and start a recovery. For Ethereum to regain a bullish outlook, bulls must reclaim the $2,000 level as soon as possible. A sustained push above this resistance would signal strength and could set the stage for a rally toward higher levels, potentially testing $2,250–$2,400 in the coming weeks. However, if ETH loses current levels of demand, the next major liquidity zone sits around $1,600. A breakdown below $1,750 could trigger further sell-offs, leading to an extended bearish phase that could delay any potential recovery. Crypto analyst Trend Diva has provided an in-depth analysis of the current Ethereum price action. She revealed that ETH is still moving inside an ascending triangle but warned that it could suffer further downside pressure if it fails to stay above a crucial support level.  Ethereum Price Still Inside An Ascending Triangle Despite Recent Crash In a TradingView post, Trend Diva revealed that the Ethereum price is moving inside a clear ascending triangle. The upper boundary acts as long-term resistance, and the lower boundary provides dynamic support. This analysis comes amid ETH’s recent decline below $2,000.  Related Reading: Ethereum Retests Symmetrical Triangle Pattern, Analyst Sets Next Target The analyst noted that after a steady climb, the Ethereum price started showing weakness, confirmed by a head and shoulders pattern, which she claimed is a common sign that the trend might reverse. This weakness led to a strong drop for ETH, bringing its price down to the key support zone around $2,000.  Trend Diva stated that this support area is important for the Ethereum price because it meets with a major trendline, making it a likely spot where buyers could step in. She added that the volume profile also shows a lot of activity in this zone, meaning traders have been interested in these levels before.  The analyst further remarked that if the Ethereum price holds above this $2,000 support, it could bounce towards the $2,800 level, which represents a previous resistance. However, she revealed that a breakdown below the trendline shifts the bias bearish towards $1,414.  For now, as long as ETH stays above $2,000, a rebound to $2,800 is still on the horizon.  It is worth mentioning that the Ethereum price briefly lost the $2,000 support level following a crypto market crash on Sunday. As such, there is also the possibility that it could drop to as low as $1,414 as Trend Diva warned.  A Drop To As Low As $1,250 Is Also On The Cards In an X post, crypto analyst Ali Martinez said the Ethereum price seems to be breaking out of a parallel channel. He added that ETH could drop to as low as $1,250 if momentum sustains. ETH whales look to be doing everything possible to defend the $2,000 support zone and prevent Ethereum from dropping to these new lows.  Related Reading: Analyst Says You’ll Regret Not Buying Ethereum At These Prices, Here’s Where It’s Headed Martinez revealed that the largest whales on the network have bought 330,000 ETH in the last 48 hours. The crypto market is facing intense fear, with many analysts speculating that a prolonged bear market could be on the horizon. Ethereum has been one of the hardest-hit assets, experiencing a massive decline of over 27% in less than five days. Investors are growing cautious as ETH struggles to hold key support levels, fueling uncertainty about its short-term direction. Related Reading: Is Solana In A Macro Trend Move? Charts Show Potential Shift Despite the widespread panic, large investors appear to be taking advantage of the dip. Data from Santiment reveals that whales have accumulated significant amounts of ETH in the last 24 hours, suggesting that institutional players and high-net-worth individuals are positioning for a potential recovery. Historically, such accumulation phases by big players have preceded strong reversals, indicating that smart money might be betting on an eventual rebound. While selling pressure remains high, this whale activity could provide a foundation for ETH to stabilize and regain lost ground. However, for a bullish recovery to take shape, Ethereum needs to reclaim crucial levels above $2,500. The next few days will be critical in determining whether ETH can bounce back or if the market will continue to slide further down. Ethereum Accumulation Signals Trust Ethereum is trading slightly above the most critical support level since December 2023, a price zone that could determine its short-term direction. Bulls must hold this level to prevent further declines and initiate a recovery phase, but selling pressure remains strong. Analysts are divided, with some expecting a prolonged bear market while others see potential for a rebound. Crypto expert Ali Martinez shared Santiment data on X, revealing that whales bought another 190,000 ETH in the last 24 hours. This adds to the broader trend of accumulation that has been ongoing for the past month. Historically, such whale activity signals confidence from large investors, who often accumulate at discounted prices before an uptrend resumes. If this trend continues, Ethereum could be setting up for a strong recovery rally. Related Reading: Dogecoin Open Interest Declines 67% In Three Months – Can Meme Coins Recover? However, bullish momentum remains uncertain. ETH needs to reclaim key levels above $2,500 to confirm a reversal, and failing to do so could lead to further corrections. The coming days will be crucial in determining whether Ethereum can bounce back or if the bearish trend will persist. ETH Testing Crucial Long-Term Demand Ethereum is trading at $2,220 after reaching its lowest level since late November 2023. The recent sell-off has pushed ETH below critical support zones, and bulls are struggling to regain control. The price is now below the 200-week exponential moving average (EMA) at around $2,290 and the 200-week moving average (MA) at around $2,480, signaling a bearish outlook unless a strong recovery takes place soon. For Ethereum to regain momentum, bulls must reclaim the $2,500 level in the coming days. A breakout above this level would signal renewed strength, potentially leading to a massive recovery rally as traders regain confidence. However, ETH remains under pressure, and failing to reclaim the $2,300 mark could confirm further declines. If this scenario unfolds, Ethereum could face a deeper correction toward the $2,000 psychological support, or even lower, depending on market sentiment. Ethereum has been struggling to regain momentum, trading below the critical $2,800 mark since last Thursday. Bulls are in trouble as the price remains trapped under key supply levels, leaving investors concerned about Ethereum’s short-term future. Many who expected a bullish year for the second-largest cryptocurrency are now questioning their outlook after last week’s massive selling pressure took ETH from $3,150 to $2,150 in less than two days. Related Reading: Can Bitcoin Hold $97K? – 1-3 Month Holders’ Data Reveals Crucial BTC Demand The recent price action has amplified fear and uncertainty among retail investors, with many continuing to sell amid the market turbulence. However, on-chain metrics tell a different story, signaling growing confidence from larger players. Key data shared by top crypto analyst Ali Martinez reveals that whales have accumulated over 600,000 Ethereum in the past week, even as retail investors remain cautious. This divergence highlights a critical trend in the market—retail investors appear scared and reactive, while big players are quietly buying up ETH at discounted prices. As the market grapples with indecision and volatility, this accumulation by whales could set the stage for a significant shift in momentum. If bulls manage to reclaim the $2,800 and $3,000 levels, Ethereum may begin a recovery rally. For now, all eyes are on whether the divergence will lead to a turning point in ETH’s price action. Ethereum Investors Are Divided: Retail Fears Vs. Whales Trust Ethereum remains in a challenging position after last week’s dramatic sell-off, which saw the price drop from $3,150 to $2,150 in less than 48 hours. Despite a strong recovery back into the $2,700 range, ETH has struggled to reclaim key supply levels, leaving many investors cautious. The price remains trapped below crucial resistance at $2,800, with bulls needing to push above the $3,000 mark to shift the bearish trend and regain market confidence. Key metrics shared by crypto analyst Ali Martinez reveal a promising trend amidst the uncertainty. Whales have accumulated over 600,000 Ethereum in the past week, signaling strong buying activity from big players.  This accumulation trend is a stark contrast to the cautious behavior of retail investors, many of whom continue to sell amid fear and uncertainty. The divergence between whale accumulation and retail selling suggests that large investors remain optimistic about Ethereum’s long-term prospects, even as short-term price action remains shaky. A breakout above $3,000, which aligns with the 200-day moving average, could mark a significant turning point for ETH, sparking a rally toward higher price levels. Until then, ETH remains in a critical phase as it navigates between bearish pressure and the potential for recovery. ETH Price Action: Key Levels To Reclaim Ethereum is currently trading at $2,620, attempting to reclaim the $2,700 mark as it battles against key supply levels. Bulls are under pressure to break through resistance at $2,800 and $3,000, as reclaiming these levels would signify a reversal of the daily downtrend that has persisted since late December. The $3,000 mark holds particular significance, as it aligns with the 200-day moving average, a widely watched indicator that signals long-term strength when prices hold above it. A successful push above the $3,000 level could ignite a strong rally, with Ethereum targeting higher price levels quickly. Such a move would restore confidence in the market and signal a potential bullish trend for ETH, which has struggled to regain its footing following last week’s dramatic sell-off. Major fluctuations in the Ethereum (ETH) market yesterday triggered a wave of reactions across social media, with one Ethereum co-founder claiming that certain large holders—or “whales”—were deliberately pushing the asset’s price downward. The activity reached a fever pitch on Monday, February 4, when the ETH price swung from around $2,900 to as low as $2,120 before bouncing back sharply. Despite the intraday plunge, Ether ultimately closed the day sporting a 26% green wick—an uncommon price rebound in such a short window. Ethereum Price Manipulated By Whales? Analysts attributed the dramatic movement to external macroeconomic forces, most notably the US trade war under President Donald Trump. After imposing tariffs on Mexico and Canada early in the day, the president later struck an arrangement that spurred a rapid recovery across global markets, including cryptocurrency. Related Reading: Ethereum Price Tanks 25%: What’s Next After the Major Decline? The turbulence led one observer, identified simply as “intern” (@intern), the director of growth at Monad, to post a stark sentiment on X: “ETH is dying right in front of us. honestly never thought this would happen.” In response, Ethereum co-founder and ConsenSys CEO Joseph Lubin offered a composed outlook, underscoring that these types of price swings are not unusual for the digital asset: “It happens regularly. Then it surges. What we are seeing is whales taking advantage of economic turmoil and negative sentiment to shake out weak hands, run stops, and then buy back when they can run that same playbook in reverse.” Lubin’s statement presents a cyclical understanding of crypto volatility, implying that larger players capitalize on market anxiety—often exacerbated by macro developments—to pressure less resilient investors into selling. Several prominent crypto traders also commented on the events, specifically on accusations of whale-led manipulation. One well-known figure, Hsaka (@HsakaTrades), advised newcomers not to assume ETH’s decline was driven purely by organic market sentiment: “Dear noobs, Ethereum is NOT naturally going down. It is being pushed down via whales placing spoofy sell orders on exchanges to make noobs and risk managers sell to ‘buy back lower’. They are stealing your bags and will make you buy back at a higher price.” Related Reading: Ethereum Long-Term Bullish Structure At Risk – $2,700 Support Is Key for a $7K Target The notion of a concerted “spoofing” strategy—where large sell orders are placed and then canceled or only partially filled—has long circulated within crypto communities. The tactic reportedly aims to trigger panic sells, thereby letting so-called whales accumulate positions at more favorable price levels. Prominent trader Pentoshi (@Pentosh1) offered a brief but pointed reaction, highlighting how ETH has underperformed relative to Bitcoin (BTC) over the past three years: “3 year shake out so far. Hope you’re right.” The question of why whales would single out Ether in particular was raised by community member EVMaverick392.eth (@EVMaverick392): “Maybe I’ll sound naive, but why do whales perform this maneuver exclusively on ether?” Lubin responded by drawing a parallel to conventional bank robberies and suggesting that the recent wave of unease surrounding the Ethereum ecosystem has made the asset a prime target: “Why do bank robbers rob banks— or used to? The (unjustified) FUD toward the Ethereum ecosystem is currently most pronounced.” At press time, ETH traded at $2,704. Featured image created with DALL.E, chart from TradingView.com

Ethereum has faced lackluster price action over the past year, significantly underperforming compared to Bitcoin and many altcoins that have surged during the ongoing market cycle. Once seen as the leader of innovation and growth in the crypto space, Ethereum’s slow movement has left many investors frustrated and questioning its short-term potential. However, signs suggest that this period of underperformance could be coming to an end. Related Reading: XRP Forms A Bullish Pattern In 4-Hour Chart – Analyst Expects $4.20 After Breakout Recent data from on-chain analytics firm Santiment has revealed a bullish development for Ethereum. According to their insights, whales—large holders of cryptocurrency—have accumulated over 1.14 million Ethereum in the last 48 hours. This surge in accumulation signals growing confidence among institutional players and high-net-worth investors, who are positioning themselves for a potential bullish breakout. This significant whale activity often precedes large price movements, as it demonstrates strong interest from those with the resources to influence market trends. With Ethereum’s fundamentals still solid and the adoption of its blockchain ecosystem steadily growing, the recent whale activity could be the catalyst for a reversal in Ethereum’s fortunes. Ethereum Investors Waiting For A Breakout Ethereum has been under significant selling pressure, facing heightened volatility over the past two weeks and extending through several months. This prolonged downtrend has tested the resolve of many investors, leading some to capitulate as Ethereum continues to underperform relative to Bitcoin and other altcoins. However, a growing number of market participants remain optimistic, convinced that ETH still holds significant potential for a major recovery this year. Among the bullish voices is top analyst Ali Martinez, who recently shared compelling data highlighting a surge in whale activity. According to Martinez, whales have accumulated over 1.14 million Ethereum in the past 48 hours, signaling renewed confidence in ETH’s long-term prospects. Such large-scale accumulation by high-net-worth investors often indicates a belief in an impending price rebound, as whales are known to position themselves ahead of major market moves. This whale activity aligns with the broader bullish outlook many analysts have set for Ethereum this year. With its robust ecosystem, growing adoption, and significant upgrades like the recent Ethereum Merge enhancing its efficiency, Ethereum continues to solidify its role as a leading blockchain. Related Reading: Hedera Successfully Retests Key Demand Level – Expert Says The Next Stop Could Be $0.52 The coming weeks will be critical for ETH as it navigates these volatile conditions. Whether Ethereum can capitalize on the bullish momentum created by whale accumulation remains to be seen. Still, the potential for a significant turnaround is evident, and the current market dynamics suggest that Ethereum is far from being counted out. Investors and analysts alike are keeping a close eye on ETH, anticipating whether it can overcome selling pressure and reignite its upward trajectory in the months ahead. ETH Price Action: Testing Key Levels  Ethereum (ETH) is currently trading at $3,305, holding above key demand levels despite a modest 4% drop since yesterday. The ability to maintain support around $3,300 is crucial for Ethereum to sustain its momentum and avoid further downside pressure. As the market remains uncertain, this level serves as a pivotal point for both bulls and bears. For ETH to confirm a new bullish trend, the price must push above local highs near $3,525. Breaking this resistance would signal renewed buying interest and could set the stage for further upward momentum, potentially reversing the recent underperformance compared to other assets. A decisive move above $3,525 would strengthen the bullish narrative and attract additional investor confidence. On the downside, losing the $3,200 support level in the coming days would likely signal weakness and could lead to a prolonged consolidation or even a deeper correction. Such a move might test lower demand zones, delaying Ethereum’s potential recovery. Related Reading: Solana Compresses Near Previous ATH – Gearing Up For The Next Leg Higher? Crypto analyst Ali Martinez has discussed Ethereum current price action as the second largest crypto by market cap remains below $4,000. The analyst outlined some facts to give a clearer picture of whether or not it is the right time to give up on ETH.  Analyst Discusses Whether It Is Time To Give Up On Ethereum In an X post, Ali Martinez outlined certain facts to determine whether it is time to give up on Ethereum. First, the analyst noted that ETH has been one of the weakest performers lately, a development that looks to have prompted Vitalik Buterin to shake things up by changing the Ethereum Foundation’s leadership team. Related Reading: Ethereum Gets Massive $12,000 Price Tag From Research Lead Ahead Of Major Upgrade Martinez then alluded to historical data showing that Ethereum performs well in the first quarter of each year. The analyst had previously hinted that this year is unlikely to be different. Back then, he noted that ETH delivers its strongest performance in Q1, particularly in odd-numbered years, and 2025 is one such year. Given Ethereum’s positive Q1 performance, Martinez remarked that this could explain why crypto whales have accumulated over $1 billion worth of ETH in the past week alone. He previously revealed that these whales had bought over 330,000 ETH, valued at over $1 billion.  Furthermore, the crypto analyst remarked that the buying pressure is also evident in the exchange outflows, with nearly $2 billion in Ethereum withdrawn from crypto platforms over the past month. Specifically, 540,000 ETH, worth $1.84 billion, were withdrawn from exchanges over the past month. This accumulation trend is a positive as it indicates investors are still bullish on ETH.  However, for Ethereum to break out bullishly, Martinez mentioned that it must overcome several key resistance levels. From an on-chain perspective, the crypto analyst highlighted the $3,360 to $3,450 zone as the major supply wall. This range is the most critical resistance level for ETH, while the key support zone is between $3,066 and $3,160.  From A Technical Analysis Perspective Martinez also provided insights into the Ethereum price action from a technical analysis perspective. He stated that ETH appears to be forming the right shoulder of a head-and-shoulders pattern, with a neckline of $4,000. He added that a decisive breakout above this level could fuel a rally toward $7,000. Related Reading: Ethereum’s Large Consolidation Trend Points To Possible Price Explosion To $8,000 The crypto analyst also revealed that this upside target aligns with the Ethereum 3.2 Market Value to Realized Value (MVRV) Pricing Band, which is currently hovering around $7,000. Amid this bullish outlook, Martinez mentioned that one concerning sign is Ethereum’s network growth, which has slowed down. The number of new ETH addresses is said to have declined by 9.32%, indicating reduced adoption.  Despite that, Martinez believes that Ethereum’s outlook is still bullish. He told market participants to keep an eye on the $2,700 to $3,000 support zone. According to him, this demand zone must hold to maintain ETH’s bullish outlook.  At the time of writing, Ethereum is trading at around $3,200, down 4% in the last 24 hours, according to data from CoinMarketCap. In the past week, the crypto market experienced a general uplift as Bitcoin surged above $100,000 for the first time since early December. According to data from CoinMarketCap, Ethereum gained by 7.25% spurring a return to the $3,500 price zone. Interestingly, more market developments are pointing to a long-term bullish future for the altcoin. Related Reading: Ethereum Is Forming A 1-Hour Symmetrical Triangle – Bullish Breakout Or Deeper Correction? Ethereum Merge Sparks Mega Increase In Whale Holdings In a recent X post by crypto analytics firm IntoTheBlock, the Ethereum network has recorded a massive rise in whales’ reserves over the past two years. Generally, whales are wallet addresses that hold a substantial amount of a token, typically over 10,000 ETH for the Ethereum network. Whales are important due to their large holdings which could allow them to influence market trends. According to IntoTheBlock, the Ethereum whales‘ balance has surged from 22% of the coin’s supply in early 2023 to a current value of 43%, indicating about a 100% gain in 24 months. So far, the blockchain analytics firm has linked this accumulation spree to the Ethereum Merge that occurred in September 2022.  For context, the Merge, considered a historic event, allowed the Ethereum mainnet to integrate with the Beacon Chain transforming it into a fully functional proof-of-stake blockchain.  The Merge offers many benefits in terms of potential for sharding to ease network traffic, environmental friendliness, and importantly staking, as it allowed long-term Ethereum investors to finally withdraw their staked rewards. IntoTheBlock postulated that in particular, whales found this upgraded staking feature attractive resulting in the accumulation surge since 2023.  In backing this notion, data from beaconcha.in shows that staked ETH has grown from 15,804,310 ETH in January 2023 to 33,898,981 ETH in January 2025 indicating a 114.49% gain in the same period during which a surge in whale accumulation has occurred. In terms of their ability to influence market trends, whale transactions are viewed as trading signals by smaller, retail investors. Thus, a strong accumulation pattern by ETH whales, as currently reported, is a robust bullish signal supporting the altcoin’s long-term profitability. Ethereum has faced significant volatility over the past few days, with massive selling pressure emerging after the cryptocurrency failed to break above its yearly highs set earlier in December. This price action has left traders and investors questioning the next direction for ETH as it consolidates under critical resistance. Related Reading: Bitcoin Will Test ATH Once It Breaks This Strong Supply Zone – Details Despite the turbulence, on-chain data suggests a potentially bullish outlook. Analyst Ali Martinez shared insightful metrics showing that Ethereum whales have been accumulating heavily during this period of uncertainty. According to the data, whales purchased 340,000 ETH—worth over $1 billion—in the last 96 hours. This significant accumulation indicates that major players see long-term value in Ethereum, even as short-term market sentiment remains mixed. The ongoing whale activity could signal an upcoming recovery for ETH, with large holders positioning themselves for future gains. Historically, such accumulation phases have often preceded strong rallies, as increased demand and reduced supply contribute to upward momentum. Ethereum Whale Demand Keeps Rising Ethereum demand has shown significant instability throughout the year, with persistent selling pressure pushing prices down from local highs. Each rally attempt has faced resistance, highlighting the challenges ETH has encountered in sustaining upward momentum. Despite this, Ethereum continues to demonstrate resilience, particularly during corrective phases, as large holders actively accumulate ETH. Martinez recently shared compelling data on X, indicating a remarkable whale accumulation trend. In the past 96 hours alone, whales have purchased 340,000 Ethereum, valued at over $1 billion. This substantial buying activity underscores the confidence that major players have in Ethereum’s long-term potential. Such accumulation often signals the possibility of a market shift, with whales strategically positioning themselves ahead of a potential breakout. Martinez and other analysts believe this whale-driven demand hints at a significant price surge in the weeks to come. Furthermore, the broader crypto community anticipates Ethereum playing a pivotal role in the expected altseason next year, solidifying its position as a market leader among altcoins. Related Reading: XRP Holds Key Demand Level – Whale Activity Suggests Strength As Ethereum enters this critical phase, market participants will closely monitor its ability to capitalize on the current accumulation. If whale activity continues, it could pave the way for Ethereum to reclaim local highs and potentially set new milestones, reinforcing its dominance in the crypto space. ETH Holding Key Support  Ethereum is currently trading at $3,320, showing resilience after holding above the critical 200-day moving average (MA) at $3,000. This level is widely regarded as a key indicator of long-term market strength. Holding above it suggests that Ethereum remains in a bullish structure despite recent volatility and selling pressure. For Ethereum to regain momentum, bulls will need to push the price above the $3,550 resistance level and maintain it. Breaking this zone would signal a renewed upward trend and increase the likelihood of Ethereum testing higher levels. However, this may not happen immediately, as the market could enter a period of sideways consolidation. Related Reading: Bitcoin Realized Losses Spike 3 Times The Weekly Average – Healthy Correction Or Downturn? Ethereum is on the verge of reclaiming the $4,000 level as it inches closer to its all-time highs. The second-largest cryptocurrency by market cap has faced skepticism throughout this cycle, with some analysts predicting it would underperform compared to its previous bull runs. However, Ethereum has surprised doubters, steadily climbing in recent weeks despite market uncertainty. Related Reading: ONDO Exchange Inflows Grow – Volatility Ahead? Key on-chain metrics from Glassnode reveal an important trend that could fuel further price gains: Ethereum whales have been accumulating aggressively since late November. This signals growing confidence among major holders, who are positioning themselves for potential upside. Historically, whale accumulation has often preceded significant price moves, hinting at the possibility of a breakout in the near term. While the market remains divided on Ethereum’s trajectory, its ability to sustain upward momentum near the $4,000 mark will likely define its performance in the weeks ahead. Breaking above this critical resistance could open the door to new highs and further solidify ETH’s role as a leader in the ongoing bull cycle.  Ethereum Mega-Whale Balances Grow Ethereum has experienced a steady, albeit modest, rally since November 5, but it seems the real fireworks for ETH are yet to ignite. As Bitcoin soars into price discovery and several altcoins outperform expectations, Ethereum investors are searching for clear signals of an impending bull run for the second-largest cryptocurrency. Key on-chain data shared by top analyst Ali Martinez on X provides intriguing insights into Ethereum’s current state. Martinez highlights that Ethereum whales—entities holding significant amounts of ETH—have been accumulating aggressively since the price broke above the $3,330 level. This accumulation trend suggests that smart money is positioning itself for what could be a massive upward move in the months ahead. Historically, whale accumulation has often been a precursor to strong price rallies, as these large investors tend to anticipate major market shifts before retail traders. However, the narrative isn’t entirely bullish. While whale accumulation may signal confidence, it also raises concerns about a potential bull trap. These large holders could quickly pivot, offloading their ETH for other assets if market conditions shift or if Bitcoin’s dominance suppresses altcoin growth. Such a move could catch smaller investors off guard, leading to sharp corrections. Related Reading: AAVE Dominates DeFi Lending – Metrics Reveal 45% Market Share For Ethereum, holding above critical levels like $3,800 while breaking key resistances could be the catalyst needed to spark a true bull run. Until then, ETH remains a watchlist favorite, balancing potential and uncertainty. Price Testing Crucial Resistance Ethereum (ETH) is trading at $3,950, struggling to break above the crucial $4,000 resistance level for several days. Despite this, the price remains resilient, signaling strong market support. Clearing this level is essential to confirm the continuation of the uptrend, as $4,000 represents a psychological barrier and a key resistance zone for the asset. If Ethereum fails to breach the $4,000 mark, a retrace toward lower demand zones around $3,500 could be expected. This level has served as strong support in recent weeks, providing a cushion during periods of increased selling pressure. A pullback to this area could allow for renewed buying momentum, setting the stage for another attempt to break higher. On-chain data shows metrics related to network activity have spiked for Ethereum recently, something that could pave way for a further rally. Ethereum Transaction Volume & Whale Transfer Count Have Spiked Recently According to data from the on-chain analytics firm Santiment, Ethereum has seen an uplift in two activity-related metrics. The indicators in question are the Transaction Volume and the Whale Transaction Count. The first of these, the “Transaction Volume,” keeps track of the total amount of the cryptocurrency (in USD) that users on the ETH network are shifting across the network with their transactions. Related Reading: Dogecoin To As High As $23? This Pattern Could Hint So When the value of this metric is high, it means the ETH blockchain is processing the transfer of a large number of coins right now. Such a trend suggests the investors actively invest in asset trading. On the other hand, the low indicator implies the interest in the cryptocurrency may currently be low as the holders are only moving around a low amount of ETH. Now, here is a chart that shows the trend in the Transaction Volume for Ethereum over the last few months: As displayed in the above graph, the Ethereum Transaction Volume has registered a sharp surge recently, implying interest in the asset has increased alongside the price rally. This could be considered a constructive development for the cryptocurrency, as an increasing network activity is generally required for rallies to be sustainable. In the past, some price moves have kicked off sharply, but the Transaction Volume didn’t register much of an increase at the same time. Such moves generally died out before long. The chart also contains the data for the other metric of relevance here, the “Whale Transaction Count.” This indicator measures the total amount of ETH transfers valued at more than $100,000. Transactions of this scale are assumed to be coming from the whale entities, so the Whale Transaction Count reflects the activity level of the big-money investors. From the graph, it’s apparent that this indicator has also spiked for Ethereum recently, which implies that the recent increase in the volume isn’t just a sign of interest from the smaller investors but also the humongous hands. Naturally, it’s impossible to say based off these indicators alone, whether the investors are buying or selling, as all types of transactions look the same from their view. Because ETH has seen a sharp rally recently, this activity has probably been for accumulation so far. Related Reading: Bitcoin Holder Profits Now 121%: How Much Higher Can BTC Go? Ethereum has reached a new local high at $3,219, marking an impressive 35% surge since last Monday. This rapid rise has ignited strong optimism among analysts and investors, who now see Ethereum as primed for further gains as it begins to show strength against Bitcoin. The rally reflects renewed confidence in ETH’s potential, especially as major stakeholders increase their activity. Related Reading: Cardano Skyrockets Over 40% – Funding Rate Suggests Further Upside Key data from Santiment supports this bullish outlook, highlighting a significant spike in whale transactions. Increased activity among large ETH holders often signals accumulation, suggesting that influential players see the potential for Ethereum’s continued growth. This uptick in whale transactions is typically seen as a precursor to further price appreciation, as it indicates sustained interest from high-volume investors. As ETH continues to rise, analysts are closely watching its performance against Bitcoin, noting that Ethereum’s recent momentum could indicate the beginning of a more sustained uptrend.  Ethereum Bull Phase Starting Ethereum has officially entered a bullish phase after decisively breaking key resistance levels and establishing a positive price structure. Recent data from Santiment confirms this upward trend, as Ethereum is now showing strong growth metrics that suggest further gains may lie ahead.  Whale transaction data points to a significant increase in activity from major stakeholders—wallets holding substantial amounts of ETH—who have actively contributed to Ethereum reaching its highest price in over 14 weeks. In addition to heightened whale activity, Ethereum’s transaction volume has surged, reaching as much as $10.4 billion over the past several days. This volume spike is an encouraging sign of rising demand and sustained interest in ETH at its current levels. Large transactions often signal confidence from institutional players and high-net-worth investors, reinforcing the bullish sentiment around Ethereum as they increase their holdings. Related Reading: Chainlink Hits $13.5 For The First Time Since July – Smart Money Accumulation? Santiment analysts suggest that Bitcoin’s performance during this bull run could serve as a catalyst for Ethereum, with profits likely redistributing from BTC to ETH as market participants diversify into top altcoins. This dynamic has historically benefited Ethereum during strong market cycles, potentially setting the stage for ETH to revisit its previous all-time high. Additionally, Ethereum’s network activity appears robust, another key indicator of sustained growth potential. With increased stakeholder participation, high transaction volume, and a healthy network, Ethereum seems well-positioned for continued upward momentum in the current bullish environment. ETH Testing Fresh Supply Ethereum (ETH) is currently trading at $3,170, showing strength after an aggressive move above the 200-day moving average (MA) at $2,955. This breakout above a long-term resistance level signals that bulls are now firmly in control as ETH reaches new supply zones. Holding above the 200-day MA is a positive indicator for sustaining the bullish trend, as this level often supports price action when breached on an upward move. If ETH experiences a pullback, a drop back to the 200-day MA around $2,955 would represent a healthy retracement, potentially setting the stage for further gains. A consolidation at or near this level would likely attract more demand, supporting a continuation of the uptrend. For now, Ethereum’s upward trajectory is supported by solid technical levels and a market environment increasingly favorable for continued gains. Featured image from Dall-E, chart from TradingView

#ethereum #eth #ethusdt #ethereum bullish #ethereum whales #ethereum exchange outflows #ethereum exchange reserve #ethereum bullish signal

On-chain data shows exchanges have recently observed a large amount of Ethereum exit their wallets, a sign that could be bullish for ETH’s value. Ethereum Exchange Reserve Has Seen A Plunge Recently As explained by analyst Ali Martinez in a new post on X, the ETH investors have made net outflows from exchanges recently. The on-chain indicator of relevance here is the “Exchange Reserve,” which keeps track of the total amount of Ethereum sitting on the wallets associated with all centralized exchanges. When the value of this metric goes up, investors will make net inflows into these platforms right now. As one of the main reasons holders deposit their coins in exchanges is for selling-related purposes, this trend can have bearish implications for the asset’s price. Related Reading: “Time To Get Ready For Another Bull Run,” Bitcoin Analyst Says— Here’s Why On the other hand, the indicator registering a decline suggests a net amount of ETH is currently exiting the exchanges. Such a trend can indicate that the investors are accumulating, which can naturally prove to be bullish for the cryptocurrency. Now, here is a chart that shows the trend in the Ethereum Exchange Reserve over the last few weeks: As displayed in the above graph, the Ethereum Exchange Reserve has registered a huge drop during the last few days, which implies that investors have made large net withdrawals. The holders have taken out more than 300,000 ETH from these platforms during the past week, which is worth almost $754 million at the current exchange rate. Given the massive scale involved here, it’s likely that the whale entities were behind the outflows. Also, considering that the withdrawals have come after ETH’s stumble from its $2,700 high earlier in the month, these humongous investors may have made them buy at the lows. Related Reading: Bitcoin Bull Run Not Over Yet? This Ratio Has Just Seen A Golden Cross Naturally, if this is true, Ethereum could benefit from a rebound from this plunge in the Exchange Reserve. The surge may also have begun, as ETH has now recovered above the $2,500 mark. In some other news, as market intelligence platform IntoTheBlock has pointed out in an X post, the Ethereum Market Value to Realized Value (MVRV) Ratio is sitting at 1.2 right now. The MVRV Ratio tells us how the value that Ethereum investors are currently holding compares against the amount that they initially put into the cryptocurrency. The latest value of 1.2 suggests the average ETH holder is currently holding a profit. From the chart, it’s apparent that the asset has historically encountered tops when the MVRV Ratio has been at notably higher values, so it’s possible that the current profitability isn’t high enough for ETH to top out. ETH Price At the time of writing, Ethereum is trading at around $2,500, down 6% over the last seven days. Featured image from Dall-E, CryptoQuant.com, charts from TradingView.com
